Was treated with complete disrespect as to having to have a voucher for a breakfast offered to the sporting event that was taking place. We didn't get offered a voucher and was looked at like we were trying to steal the very cheap looking meal offered. Ended up ordering breakfast and it was all wrong and noticed another couple that had their breakfast comp and we were never offered any thing other than just pay. Its an old tired motel musty smelling rooms. The staff was very apologetic and nice but that doesn't make it right for the price you pay.

Outstanding service experience! The people make the difference: staff is extremely attentive and helpful. Close to the airport: complimentary transportation is organized very well.

My flight was delayed and I arrived at 11:00 pm. I hadn’t eaten since 2:00 pm. The bartender made me a huge sandwich even though the kitchen was closed. Nice customer service.

This is my second stay at this hotel, and I was impressed again. Each time, I've stayed for 3-4 nights, and everything has been very good each time. The pool and fitness center are often unused, so it was nice to have them to myself several times! The hotel is clean, the staff was very helpful, the beds are very comfortable, the location is convenient, and the free internet was fast enough. I'll stay again in the future.

This was our second time staying here. The rooms are always clean and tidy. There breakfast in very good. The part that really makes it earn a five star rating is the staff. Everyone is very friendly and professional. They all seemed genuinely happy to help in any way and I was traveling with a toddler so I'm not the lowest maintenance guest. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing somewhere in the area.

We (mom and three children aged 2-9) stayed overnight before an early flight. The hotel was very clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. The beds were very comfortable. Pool area was clean but a little dark — still plenty of fun! We needed to catch the 4am shuttle to the airport. Check-in and out was a breeze! The shuttle was on time with an alert driver who helped with our bags and was in a good mood for that early hour! Shuttle took less than 10 minutes to get to the airport. We would definitely recommend the location to others.

If I could give a zero I would. We have a king room with a pullout. When we pulled out the pullout, it didn't have a blanket or pillow. When I went to the desk to ask for one, I was told they didn't have any and that housekeeping was closed. No manager on duty. I was told to come back tomorrow. They gave me a few sheets and a dirty pillow and said that was all they could do. I asked for a clean pillow case and did get that. After 35 minutes of arguing about the fact they didn't have blankets for their beds, I asked if they could give me a comforter like they have on all the beds. She said they were sold out and didn't have extra. Don't they wash them daily? You would think they would have an extra in case someone has an accident? I wasn't asking for an extra blanket… just one blanket for a bed. Is that too much to ask? I'm questioning the cleanliness of the beds now. I would definitely not stay here again. While I was there, another guy came in with the same issue. He had been waiting for 6 hours for a blanket. Another gentleman came in and said he needed a blanket because he was sleeping on the floor because when he checked in, they had given his double room to someone else and gave him a King room. His kids got the bed and all he got was 4 sheets… no blanket for him either. What the heck Marriott? If this is how you treat Marriott members… how do you treat non-members?

Hey Marriott… heard you upgraded. But you ain’t got no USB ports in the room? Man, I missed the 90s… so glad to be back. What’s the AOL dial-up pw? Can I get an adapter? Oh I can leave my ID at the bar for a charging device? Cool. Ladies at the front desk were great though.

Very nice place bar and lounge servers were great. Some front desk and breakfast could have been friendlier, still good overall.

Hotel is fine, breakfast option are not very good. When I arrived tl the room after checking in I noticed the room was not cleaned correctly, outside the room there was a plante with food and in the bathroom there was no soap, also after the first night there I noticed some food dirt in the bed sheets which was not pleasant. In the room you can hear the noise of the highway. Other than those everything was nice.

Very close to airport. Great shuttle service. Restaurant has delicious food (I had cajun chicken pasta) Room was clean and staff was more then welcoming. Breakfast was pretty good too!

Great hotel, I'd give them 5* if they put towels in the gym and improved on the windows (they're okay so you get some highway noise). Otherwise it's great!

The check-in process was easy. The room was comfortable and appeared clean. Most of the staff was very friendly. Check out was super quick. I would stay here again. I would recommend to others in need of overnight accommodations. There was an odd odor throughout the hotel but it may have simply been stuffy due to the continuous rain for a couple days.

Great hotel. I love how clean the hotel was and how well the housekeeper cleaned my room. I even gave him/her a $26 tip for the amazing work.

Not the jewel of airport Marriotts, smallish property and rooms, no room options for an upgrade, but good elite guest recognition, decent rate for airport, prompt awarding of points for stay, somewhat modernized room and decent bar and breakfast experience, would give extra half star if I could.

Great service and customer service. Booked the room after the pistons sixes game. The room and keys were waiting for me when I arrived. The three young ladies were excellent (Renee, deja, can't remember the last lady). We talked about the Detroit sport teams. I will always stay here when I come to Detroit.

I am a gold member and stay frequently at this hotel. Herb, the shuttle driver, deserves specialrecognition for going out of his way for me. He drove me to CVS. He was friendly and did everyrthing he could to help me replace a prescription I had left at home. Out of all of the Marriott's, Herb' s by far one of the best employees I have been privileged to meet.

The room was what I expect from a Marriott, comfortable and clean. The fitness center was very nice, we really enjoyed the treadmills. The pool was nice, but the hot tub was scalding hot.

Very nice hotel. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Has indoor swimming pool, a bar and lounge, room service, shuttles to and from the airport, and a few other perks. Could use some updates to the bathrooms, and offer a better selection of channels on the TV. But otherwise a nice hotel.

The menu was small. The food was good, but pricey. It was very clean and the soup was extremely good. The other portions were small.

My hotel room was pretty gross. I'm fairly certain it hadn't been cleaned prior to my check in. There was a complimentary used /open bottle of water on the counter and the towels were just thrown in the cabinet by the sink. Also, the margin between scalding and freezing on the shower was razor thin. I had checked in late, and didn't have time to deal with it as I had an early flight, but really one of the worst hotels I've visited. I would have preferred a Motel 6.

Great place to stay. Easy, friendly check-in. Nice room, comfy bed with lots of pillows. Restaurant staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was ok, but not great. Check-out was very quick and the shuttle to the airport was convenient and the driver was especially accommodating.

Everyone was very accommodating. Very refreshing the lady’s working the breakfast and gentleman that was working very hard. Thanks to everyone the engineer that fixed our door to the maid that noticed our door not working properly. Merry Christmas to all.

It wasn't an overnighter. I have attended conferences that were held at that location. Everything was great. Great service and pleasant and professional staff. The food is excellent. I.

When we first got to the room we saw sheets and towels laying on top of the dresser. There was pubic hair stuck to the ceiling and on the top of the toilet tank. The bed looked like they tried to fold the sheets but you could see they were wrinkled extremely, smelled and were never changed! So we told them and they said they would take care of it when we got back from our meeting. Later that day when we got back the sheets were still wrinkled like someone wrestled in the bed, but smelled better. The next morning my Mom pulled the sheets up from the bottom where they tuck them so tight you normally don't lift it up. There was a huge yellow pee stain! We couldn't believe it! I then lifted my Moms bed sheets up and saw multiple gross looking stains! On their part they did refund our room for the night even though we stayed two. The experience in itself was way to overwhelming and will never be forgotten.

The room was clean and comfortable but it was the worst experience because of the noise. Our 3rd floor room faced the courtyard where chairs and a fire pit created a gathering spot. People were screaming, laughing, and talking loudly until after 2:30 in the morning. It sounded like a party was going on right outside our window. Complaints to the front desk didnt make any difference. Not a good idea to have a gathering area in the enclosed court yard surrounded by rooms where people are trying to sleep.

The location of the hotel was very close to the airport. The rooms were average and the food was actually decent. I would stay there again.

Start with an excellent location. Add impeccable service and a well appointed property and one gets a favorite choice when in the area. I stay a lot and have never had a bad experience.

This was such a great event! I loved every moment honestly! The wait staff was very professional and friendly. The hotel honest is just very classy, makes you feel like something special!

I stayed here overnight for a work trip. There was a half empty bottle of water left in my room, so it wasn't cleaned properly. My sink stopper was broken and would go up, so after brushing my teeth the sink was full of spit water for the remainder of my stay. Upon trying to make coffee in my room in the morning, I found that the tray that holds the coffee pod was nowhere to be found. The thermostat also did not seem to work properly. Overall this was a disappointing stay… luckily I was only there overnight.

Very comfortable and clean rooms! My son got sick and had a mess on his bed. I called the desk and clean linens were delivered within 15 minutes at 1am! I really appreciated that. We had a really good night's sleep.
The indoor pool area was really warm and humid so it wasn't comfortable to watch my kids swim and I had to wait for coffee to be made at breakfast. But overall a beautifully kept, and staffed hotel.

The hotel was fine. We just had some very loud kids in a room next to us with no adult supervision. We called the desk 3 times to complain…

Our stay has been wonderful, the staff was very nice and friendly! I loved our housekeeper, she was very kind and nice, she reminded me of my grandma, making sure we had everything we needed. The location of this hotel is very convenient, close to the highway and right by the airport. They have a shuttle bus that can take you around within a 2 mile radius. This hotel had a great bar/restaurant, they also have an indoor pool with hot tub, the beds are comfortable especially the pillows, you even have a small refrigerator in your mom, everything you need in a hotel they have!

Awesome feel like heaven. Great food especially that chicken burger and fish tacos Free internet, free access to swimming pool and gym. Good room service. All workers were Friendly.

Convenient location near DTW airport. Quick overnight stay — only there for less than 8 hours. The ice machine on my floor was not working and my room was VERY far from the elevator. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Did not have the chance to use any of the amenities on this stay, but will certainly consider this hotel for my next trip to the area.

Our first time staying here and we are so pleased! I requested a roll away bed when I made the reservation and expected trouble with this request because lately we've shown up to hotels to learn they can't/won't give us or let us rent a roll away for our third child. Surprisingly, the roll away bed was already in the room! We requested an extra blanket and towels and they arrived in less than five minutes. My husband and I had drinks and an appetizer from the bar and everything was delicious. The restaurant and bar area was comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, the staff very friendly. Everything is clean and efficient. The pool and exercise area look great though we leave to early to use them. We will definitely stay here again.

Staff:
— Front desk lady name Kay. She did not even greet when I checked in. She was in middle of doing something so I gave her my license and credit card and she took it and gave me back the room key. No "hello" or even a "thank you. "
— When I exited the elevator to go back to my room, there was an old black maid blocking the door. She did not even move even when I said "excuse me". She probably was yelled by the manager or something because her face was not happy. I met 2 other maids (1 asian, and 1 hispanic) and both of them were nice and friendly. Room:
— There was water leak in my room. Water was dripping from the the ceiling in the bathroom. I called frontdesk and they sent someone up to take a look and he said, "The water will stop dripping". They didn't even ask me to move to another room.
— The A/C was making pretty loud noise.
— The coffee maker did not even have any glass jar to make coffee.
— There was no water bottles in the room (even if they cost money). If you want water, you need to call the kitchen and have them bring up.
— I ordered dine-in service with a soda can and a water bottle. The girl brought up the food and drinks without any straws and glass of ice. I will definitely NOT coming back to this place. There was a Courtyard next door, I should have stayed there.

I attended a scholarship banquet at your facility. The ballroom was spacious and clean. Wait staff was prompt, helpful but non-intrusive.

I stayed and dined at this Detroit Metro Airport Marriott more than once. I look forward to my next trip and stay here. All of the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful from the front desk to the concierge lounge to the lobby restaurant and bar.

Rooms are clean, bed comfortable, calamari delicious, and bartender FABULOUS — he is so happy and efficient in his orders and in the billing.

Going out of my way to write a erview which I never do because the lady Terry at the front desk was so nice. The hotel is good and offers a free shuttle to the airport and is very clean, I even got a balcony in the cheapest room, But Terry was very welcoming an informed and even let me borrow her phone charger. Will stay here again on my way around the country.

I had a second floor room overlooking a little courtyard and the pool windows. The bed was comfortable and the staff were nice enough. They provided two cribs for my young children, which I appreciated. But they didn't give me any blankets for the cribs, only to deliver one blanket couple hours later, after the kids fell asleep. The bathroom was a bit dirty also. The grout and caulk in the tub/shower could use cleaning with a bleach. The hotel was marketed to me as a 4 star hotel and the lobby looks nice but given the tub / tile grout mold in the bathroom, I'd say more like 3 stars.

Convenient Shuttle Bus to Airport and Nice Indoor Heated Pool We stayed at this hotel on our way home from Asia (one stop at Detroit) They provided convenient shuttle bus to and from airport. The bus drivers were very friendly. Check in was nice and smooth. They had cookies and coffee in the lobby at check in time. The room was nice and comfortable. Though slightly dated in some areas but it seemed to be a very typical Marriott décor and some updated features such as a large flat panel TV. Free in room Wi-Fi was also a standard amenity and the signal was fast and reliable. Nice heated indoor heated swinging pool and spa. While there seemed to have some events going on in the hotel, the pool area was empty, so we could relax and enjoy the nice spa and pool. After we got home, the credit card showed that the hotel had charged us $2 — we had traveled worldwide and it had never happen before, we have no idea why they charged us the $2 and it seemed silly to call the credit card company just for the 2 dollar charge but it definitely diminished how we felt about this hotel. They got a 4 star instead of 5 just because of this. Overall, we do like the hotel for its convenient shuttle bus to and from the airport, comfortable room, and the pool. Definitely won’t mind one stop at Detroit again at all. Stayed April 2013, traveled as a couple.

Super clean and the staff was really nice.

Conveniently located but not as good as other Marriotts. The first room they gave me the toilet seat was loose and the chair on the desk was stained with a red "sauce", at least that is what I hope it was. There is construction all over the place and the renovated rooms look pretty old. They changed my room to an area where there was no construction, this time it was clean and fixed. I always stay in Marriott but next time I have to spend the night in Detroit I wont be going to this one. The price wasn't worth it.

Surprisingly I had a very pleasant stay here considering this is the location with close proximity to the airport. Located few mins from airport call rental center this is a usual Marriott hotel. I love the front staff here, so helpful and courteous. They tend to give personal attention to each customer needs which is great. They acknowledged my special room requests before my arrival. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. Fitness center is decent too. Since I am the gold member with Marriott I was able to access the concierge lounge at the top floor. They had complementary snacks, drinks and desserts in the evening. Food was actually decent and they was a large variety of drinks. There is also a in house restaurant which serves traditional american food and the food was really good. Only drawback here is lack of good restaurants in the vicinity. Overall I had a really pleasant stay here.

Recently remodeled, this hotel feels brand new. It is bright and clean and the staff provided great service. The room was quiet and well appointed. This Courtyard Marriott is very convenient to the airport. Gas stations are close for topping off the rental car tank. There are a number of good restaurants nearby. (Try the mixed grill at Beirut Restaurant around the corner. ).

The DTW Marriot was everything I expected. The bed was very comfortable, and the property was very clean and inviting. I highly recommend the Ha'Penny Irish pub in the hotel for a good scotch or two after a long day in the air.
