The rooms were absolutely filthy disgusting I would not stay there if it was up to me I would sleep in my car before I would stay there nasty mold all over there was hair all over in the bathroom the beds were not changed it was the most disgusting hotel I have ever in my life stepped foot in! 🤢🤮I wouldn’t recommend my dog sleep there.

Room was musty and stale. Smelled of old cigarette.

Terrible customer service. They double charged my boyfriend. When we explained to them we noticed they charged us twice they were extremely defensive and blamed everyone but themselves. Claiming they did not know how it charged us twice. They did not give us any sort of compensation or even an apology. My boyfriend and I are now out of $122 on our vacation. They kept claiming if the bank called them the money would be automatically put back on the card. That is not how it works, it will still take 7-10 business days for us to get our money back on our card to use it. I HIGHLY do not recommend this hotel.

We came here to swim and be able to hit the outlets early. This hotel is very nice. Rooms are spacious for my family of five, pool/spa were great, breakfast in morning, and even dispensers in shower so they are becoming more environmentally friendly. When I come up again, will definitely stay here.

Currently our room is leaking, we are told after their remodel, this has been a problem, but besides the window leaking it's also leaking from the smoke detector, and a spot on the wall above our head board.

I would highly recommend this place… so clean and roomy. Nice Hot Breakfast Great prices and Everyone here is Friendly.

Comfortable bedding and pillows the Keurig coffee maker was a plus along with the microwave. Plenty of available channels for the TV viewing.

Double room was spacious. Neat, clean. Brand new. Sleek design. Chase with side table. The other party had a king room. Bathroom was bigger and bedroom smaller. Lacked the chase. Arm chair instead. Room was lacking in lighting.

Stayed here for 6 weeks due to a house fire and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, friendly staff, warm pool and super hot jacuzzi.

Yes yes yes! Easy sign in. No weird smells. Clean. Cool enough to sleep in the heat & humidity. Something for breakfast for EVERYONE. The beds and linens are unbelievably comfy. I didn't want to leave. Do not listen to any poor reviews.

Nice. Updated since last visit. Stayed here to visit the birch run, frankenmuth area. Good selection for breakfast. Clean rooms. Nice employees. Everyone we came across that worked there said hi. Great recommendations for local food. Very happy with latest visit. The only place we will stay when visiting the area.

Ths was a wonderful hotel. If you ever need a clean, comfortable, quiet, up to date designed nicely place, I suggest you check out Holiday Inn. They always seem to have great accommodations. Easy check in and out and the beds are so comfortable you insomniacs would even be able to sleep through the night. I want that bed and linens. We had reservations at a different hotel that was sounding great online more then the actual truth. We left after walking in the room in 2 minutes we couldn’t walk fast enough to get out of it.
My germaphobic would have never let me rest a minute.

Awesome room at a solid price. Not cheap, but only a couple miles from Outlet Mall and a great value. The place has been updated nicely and the King size bed was perfect. I enjoyed my walk in shower and the jacuzzi in the room. There is a convenience store right next door and plenty of food choice within a mile. We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel. Extremely clean and welcoming. Has some of the most nicest towels I've ever used at a hotel.

Failed to meet basic expectations. I was locked out of my room because the battery was dying in the door handle. I had to prop my door open, and leave my room unsecured. My feet turned black just walking bare foot in my room and to and from laundry. No ATM on location. A/C barely cooled the room at lowest setting. And office chair in room broken. Do not stay here.

We stay at Holiday Inn Expresses all over the country. But this one we checked in got into our room everything was fine until they put a family above us. We were trying to sleep but could not because of the kids so we called the front desk the young man said I'll call the people above you. Well that did no good so I said if you can't do anything we might as well leave. He said okay come down and I'll refund your money. Only problem was it was at that time 11:15 at night. So I went down to get my refund except I remembered we booked on the IHG website which said this room was non-refundable which put me in a quandary. Because if I left I would still have to pay for it. But I went to the front desk anyway to see if I could get a refund regardless. The young man try to see if he could refund my money when another young man walked up he took over the situation. And after a Time he said sir I'm trying to see if I can keep you for being charged for this room but he said could I possibly see if we have another room and you can move to that one. By this time it's getting later I'm very frustrated and I said that would be fine. We finally got taken care of and got into bed to 11:30 11:45 which is totally unacceptable since we checked in about 5:30. And I believe they should have comp me the room for all the grief and aggravation but anyway we have another week of vacation but this almost causes me to not want to stay at anymore Holiday Inn Express, but we will see.

Newly remodeled rooms, decent pool area and a new concierge station which offer snacks/hygienes item (decent prices) Plus the breakfast bar!

Stayed here 5 years ago with my wife. Came back yesterday and love the updated rooms. The hot tub in the room was phenomenal. The amenities were fantastic. The breakfast in the morning was perfect. Had everything I could possibly want. ME and my wife Natalie will definitely recommend and return here in the future.

Good price, very conveniently located by the outlet mall. The room was about what I expected but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, with cheese and veggie omelets, hot pancakes and many other choices.

We have been staying there for years great place. We love the new update and the pool is always great. The staff is always nice, we will be back for Easter.

The boys and I had fun at the pool and nearby movie theater while the wife enjoyed the outlet mall. Great location.

Clean, fresh (renovated? ) room. Comfortable pillows, beds, nice pool and hot tub. Good breakfast. Only issue was Wi-Fi was very slow (tried to watch Netflix on laptop, could only watch in standard definition) but it was free.

Stayed here overnight as part of a road trip. They were open late, and easily helped us check in. We left early the next morning, but the stay was fine overall. It seems like they're finally done with renovations — we stay here every year, and I think the last time we were here the building was open, but under heavy construction.

Such a nice hotel! The staff was wonderful. We had rooms held for guests for a wedding. They gave us a great deal! The rooms were very nice and clean.

We stay here every time we visit Birch Run unless full. Very close to outlets. Pool is very nice, but should be open toll 11 not 10. Time to actually use after the outlets and other places are closed. Newly updated rooms, but beds are way too high and hard. Also the bathrooms are set up for little people.

The service and overall stay was great. The continental breakfast was delicious and the pool room was very entertaining. My only problem that I experienced was the crowded lobby for breakfast in the morning.

Fantastic accommodations all around, very comfortable rooms. Breakfast was varied and quite good. Pool area was solid. My particular shower had an issue with water pressure, but I won't assume all rooms were the same.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Shower had great water pressure too! Manager checked us in right away, and quickly. Would definitely stay here again. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Had a nice time again even though I had a problem with my mini van during our stay. Louie was nice enough to phone around & even followed me to a local shop in Birch Run. Thanks Louie, that was very kind of you. Bailey was also a big help too. And a wonderful kitchen person Dehan. (Hope I’m spelling it right) Thanks for the boxes! The facility was going through a renovation, the breakfast area is totally different, but just as nice. I stayed there when it was only 6 months old & have enjoyed each of our stays over the last 20 yrs. Thanks so much! And thanks for the wonderful staff you have.

The walls in every room that I have stayed in are horrible. I used to have a wallpaper removal company, and it's clearly evident that they painted over wallpaper paste. Also, whoever patched the walls, did not sand the patches. If your going to do the job, do it right. The rest of the room is nice, but the walls and bad prep work take away from the rest of the room.

Joe and front desk staff were good. The room is not painted well I could do better and I'm in a wheelchair — we didn't have a bench in our roll in shower and had to ask for a huge piece of furniture to be moved out as both my husband and I are both in chairs and the amount of furniture in the room we couldn't get around! The closet doors are narrow and so a wheelchair person can't get to put clothes in! A roll in shower usually has a bench that can be lifted up but not here! The toilet isn't attached to the floor and moves when using it — needs a shelf in shower to put your soap and shampoo etc to be put down while trying to hold a shower head! Couldn't reach the shower head — usually they have a sliding bar so you can put the shower head up and down, not here! The hotel is noisy — we were put near elevator we are IHG members and it's on our preferences to be away from elevator — we are by an elevator access door and so was kept awake all night, whoever was above us felt like they were coming through the ceiling they were so loud, would never recommend this location.

My stay at this hotel was great! While it was a smaller sized hotel, it was very clean and comfortable! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were the perfect size. Everything wad wonderful and I would definitely stay here again!

Lobby and some rooms are being remodeled. (Construction equipment fires up sharply at 8:00 — not the place to be if you want to sleep in a bit). Rooms have recently been updated, which is nice, but it would help if they did a little basic housekeeping. The floors were filthy. We spread towels across the tiled area because I had no idea what all the gunk was — throughout the entry and bathroom floor. Nasty. The walls were dirty also and had lots of smear marks. Room is not well lit. Really disappointed in the lack of cleanliness. Ceramic tile flooring creates a lot of noise from above. Get a top floor room for sure, or you'll clearly hear the elephants above you through your entire stay.

There needs to be full disclosure that this hotel is under renovation. For $169 we would surely have booked elsewhere. Many areas of the hotel were not available. In addition, we were told, at the makeshift front desk, that our room had been one of those already remodeled. The newly installed ceramic tile in our room still had clumps of glue on the surface. But the carpet was so old and dirty that, after walking from the bathroom to the bed, my white socks were filthy. Additionally, while standing at the front desk, we observed an employee walking into the hotel with a half case of beer in one hand and several plastic water bottles in the other that he said he found in the parking lot. That same employee and another were later seen folding hotel laundry on tables in the breakfast area. The noise from the parking lot and street was deafening in our room. There is no siding on the hotel exterior, as it is being remodeled, so it only enhanced every sound. Although we booked a two queen-bed room, it was unsuitable for a family of four. There was only the single sink inside the bathroom and no additional mirrors in the room. If someone was using the bathroom, others did not have access to water or mirrors to brush teeth or fix hair/makeup. This may be typical of H. I. But, in my opinion, it is a design flaw. The only redeeming quality of this hotel is that the linens on the beds seemed to be very clean.

The first night was pretty Rocky due to the total renovation of the entire building. The handicap rooms are not truly handicap rooms. I did speak with the contractor explain the height of toilet, easy access to shower heads that can be detachable with a hose to be able to give showers. The bed height you need a step ladder or trampoline to get in it. When you have a convention for the handicap you need to be prepared in the rooms and conference rooms. They were pretty nice trying to accommodate everyone. On the positive side, the beds are comfortable the breakfast was good.

Rooms are nice. However, Dust and debris in hallway going to pool. Pool windows taped up with brown paper. Hot tub not working properly. The check in really was the first presentation. Looked like a hole in the wall. My opinion major renovation hotel should have been closed. Visitor's to the holiday inn should have been advised of renovations before booking a room. Room was very nice. However, hotel was under renovation. Having to step over construction materials to get through the door to get to the elevator was a safety hazard in my opinion. When we made the reservation there was no mention online of the renovation. We would have stayed elsewhere had we known of the renovation. Will be really nice after renovation is compete.

Stayed here for a weekend of shopping in Birch Run and Saginaw. The staff was very friendly and breakfast both mornings was well stocked — a pretty typical Holiday Inn Express breakfast. Didn't use the indoor pool, but it seemed to be quite popular with the other guests. We would definitely stay there again!

Rooms were very clean quiet. Easy access to freeway. Great location. Breakfast outstanding. Great experience.

This hotel was very affordable and wasn't to far from frankenmuth which is where we came to visit for our Anniversary. The room was a king size suit with Jacuzzi and was a little smaller than we have had at other holiday inns. Howerver the size of the Jacuzzi was very nice and Hot and made up for the smaller room. And service was good and friendly.

Wonderful staff, relaxing atmosphere, and fun pool.

Was in a conference room for a class. Main areas of hotel were clean, the bathroom on main floor lobby area was spacious and clean. Had to park in back of hotel, there wasn't any spaces available in the front, but it was nice they left the door unlocked since I wasn't a room guest, I didn't have a key card and would've had to walk around to the front if they hadn't.

The lobby was spacious but the breakage area is rather cramped. The pool appeared clean and well lit. The restrooms were overheated.

Friendly staff, very clean and odor-free, great continental breakfast, nice pool, bathrooms look recently remodeled, nice furnishings in room. Convenient second sink outside of bathroom as well as full length mirror. Less than 2 minute drive from Birch Run outlets and many restaurants nearby. We also used their horizon conference room. I would definitely stay here again.

Whew, what a warm environment! Turn the heat down a bit guys. Even the pool felt more like a hot tub them a pool. The hallways were way too warm as well. The free Wi-Fi is a joke and didn't work in our room. We called tech support, he asked me to plug my computer in an outlet. I tried but I had to unplug the lamp to plug in my computer because half of the outlet didn't work. Tech support was no help. Since I had a ton of homework to get done, and I couldn't get it done in my room, I asked for a different room with better Wi-Fi. They said they couldn't do that. The man at the front desk was very impolite. Rooms are not full for tomorrow so I'm not sure why I can't move to a different room.

The hotel is nice looking, heated pool and hot tub, friendly staff. The hotel's climate was a little too warm and we did have an issue that was not addressed. My wife and myself could smell an oder of pot coming from our hallway we reported it and the staff investigated the issue. They stated that they could smell it but could not trace the smell. There was one room that I smelled it at, the hotel blew off and took 20dollars off the bill. I was okay with it but we had our daughter with us. Around 3am the smell came back and kids were running up and down the hallway and adults screaming. At check out time I told the front desk about the issue again they stated that house keeping would look into it and that they can't call every room to see if people are smoking. I was not impressed I or may not stay again. I hope this issues get addressed so others don't have the same problem.
