Nice place to stay I recommend.

My daughter loved the pool. The breakfast room was a nice place to eat verses in an eating area just off the main entryway.

Only issue I have is I could not change the change on the TV and no clue which network is for the Wi-Fi. Otherwise clean friendly and quiet.

Have stayed here in the past and didn't have any problems. Don't know what changed but the house keeping either needs retrained or whoever checks the rooms when they are done isn't doing their job. I don't know when the bathtub was scrubbed last the soap scum build up around the tub was gross. The room was dusty. The hallway hadn't been vacuumed. I don't mind that the room was a bit dated but at least clean it! The front desk persons could be a more welcoming also. Really take a little pride in your work and building.

Greatly disappointed and disgusted!
Upon arriving the staff was unavailable and the lobby and entry way was very dirty, dated and smelled. Once we were finally checked in our door cards didn’t work, then one of the first things we did was use the washrooms after our long travel to only then be completely flooded with toilet water filling the entire entrance where our luggage was still just sitting on the floor. My purse among other items was completely soaked. We reported the issue to the front desk only to be told there was nothing they could do except drop a plunger off to the room. For the rest of the evening we had to use the bathtub if we needed to go because regardless of plunging the water wouldn’t go down. We had to have the fan running and the windows (ripped and torn screens) We tried to turn the Air on when we were ready for bed and nothing happened then 5 hours later it kicked on. The rooms were disgusting. I asked for a refund so we could just go somewhere else and was told “No” That I would half to speak with the manager in the morning. When I approached the manager she acted as though she knew nothing of the situation and then says to me “I heard you took a video of you peeing in the tub” I explained to her that yes we were all forced to Urinate in the tub and that twice we had to exit the hotel entirely to use the facilities at a local establishment. I told her I had taken a video and pictures of the room and how disgusting it was.

Customer service, manager and owner’s are all nice and polite.

One of the manager were terrible, the room was gross, it stunk, there was lights out, the fan did not work over the jacuzzi, there was a drity towel when I went to get into the bed with a red mysterystain on it, and I woke up to a spider in my bed! The staff did not do a thing about it. I will never stay at one of your hotels again.

Clean rooms, attentive staff, free breakfast is the BOMB, and the heated indoor pool and HUGE hot tub made our stay completely enjoyable.

When we arrived we were told our room was not available. “The people who had the rooms before you stayed an hour late” We would have been ok with this but when we asked for an updated time the front desk lady got very rude and told us that the time you are give (3:00 p. M. ) is when they start to allow people to check in. As we sat to wait our quotes 45 minutes (wish it would have only been that long) we watched multiple other people check in. We then overheard the front desk lady speaking about how she didn’t know what we expected it is a busy weekend and they never guarantee times. The staff cleaning the rooms were so apologetic and couldn’t have been any nicer. Too bad the front desk was so rude. 10 plus years of staying here and not sure we will be back.

I booked a block of rooms for my sister’s wedding back in July. I spoke with and emailed with the manager, Michelle. Many guests had a really difficult time booking rooms. Some were told there wasn’t a block. Some were told only Michelle could give them their discount and she would call them back, but she never did. The week before the wedding the bride and groom’s room needs as well as the room for the parents of the groom got mixed up by Michelle and she kept calling the wrong people about it. She called me at 9 pm one night trying to reach my sister. When we arrived, she told us that the person who caused the mix up was fired. When I told her that I was the one who talked to her this summer to book the block she told me that I didn’t talk to her. She said that the person I spoke to quit after I talked to her and that was why they did not find the block. Unless everyone who was involved with our block was named Michelle, I believe she was lying to us instead of taking responsibility and apologizing. We are pretty reasonable people and forgive when customer service is managed well. It was not. She also messed up the reservation of the meeting room the bride had made for the rehearsal dinner. The amenities were good and the rooms seemed clean. There are too many nice hotels in the area to ever book here again with such terrible customer service.

I unfortunately wouldn't stay here again.
there was a huge bug in the room and the front desk staff told me that they're perfectly harmless.
there was black mold growing in the shower.
there were brown marks all over the comforter.
The windows were wide open when we in got there, so it was about 45 degrees.
The walls were paper-thin so we could hear people all night long up and down the hallway and in the room next to us.
The chair at the desk was all ripped up.
I asked to be moved but they didn't have any other rooms available and unfortunately.
it was a shame, because it was one night that we got away in a long time and was very hard to enjoy it in a room like that & paid $172 for. Definitely bummed.

I have stayed at a lot of Country Inn and Suites and generally look for this hotel when traveling because we have always had a good experience. However, we recently stayed at this one in Birch Run and the rooms were filthy. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. I am attaching pictures of how dirty our tub was when we got to the room and the light switch in the bathroom. Will definitely not trust Country Inn and Suites brands anymore.

They had free cookies for the kids at the front desk and it wasn't expensive to have adjoining rooms.

Pool was colder then Lake Michigan in October. Coffee maker had a 1/4 inch dust on it.
Last time here and we’ve stayed here for many years. Definitely gone down hill.
The plus was their breakfast, it was good.

Arrived at the hotel and checked in. Went up to our room and found two double beds instead of one queen bed. Went down to the front desk and the staff offered absolutely no resolution to this issue and basically said there is nothing that can be done as they are full. We were not offered any discount, etc. At all for not receiving the room we specifically booked for a couples weekend away. We were not even told at check-in time we weren't going to be recieving the room we booked. Instead of providing a reasonable alternative, I was instead argued with by hotel staff that I didn't recieve my room because I booked on "trip advisor". I've never even been on trip advisor. Poor customer service. I will never stay at this hotel or chain again, very disappointed. Thank-you for adding unnessecary complication to our only couples time or weekend away all year. I've never had such a poor experience at other hotels and when an issue was presented, it dealt with so poorly.

The room we were first given access to had someone's things in it. We thought it was my sister's but realized she doesn't wear old people shoes. The second room smelled very stale and wasn't exactly ready for guests. A worker wearing only socks with no shoes promptly came over to us to fix the room for us. The room after being stocked with the essentials was decent. The breakfast room was not easy to find and many guests were confused as to where the breakfast could be found. The breakfast was decent for a continental style breakfast. Great location close to the mall and restaurants. Overall a great visit.

Fantastic hotel that was well priced and had great amenities. The breakfast was above and beyond the basic continental breakfast we expected. The front desk staff were polite and friendly. It's perfectly located right beside the outlet mall. Overall it was a fantastic stay. I will add that the hotel is a bit dated but everything was very clean the rooms and very comfortable.

Our room was not cleaned well when we arrived. There was hair in the shower. The hallways and walls are filthy. The maid did not clean our room after we came back from the 2nd day. The maids didn’t start cleaning till around 11:00. The General manager was a jerk and did not care about the problems. The pool was unbearable, too much chlorine. We couldn’t stand it, had to leave. Dead bugs In window sill. AC in the hallway was not on, very hot. The breakfast room is too small, had to wait for a table. Staff was not friendly at all expect one gentlemen who worked the morning. When sent the GM pictures and a complaint. We ended up in a fight cause he didn’t care about our problems. Told us We should have gone to another hotel then. Garbage area is a mess, disgusting. I do not recommend this place. It’s a dump and the staff do not care about their job. We have never had this bad of an experience at any hotel before. Very angry and disappointing. Our vacation was ruined.

Excellent service and very clean. The staff was very happy to see us, and made sure our stay was comfortable. The desk clerk overheard me telling my wife that I had forgotten my box fan at home. Very important for me to sleep. He went in the back and came out with a fan for me without being asked. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely return. The indoor pool was great along with the whirlpool. We had a jacuzzi tub in our room but used the public whirlpool also. Shopping is directly across the street at the Birch Run Outlets. I highly recommend if you are looking for a place in Birch Run or near Frankenmuth you check out Country Inns and Suites.

Unfortunately the overall cleanliness of the hotel left a good amount to be desired. It is a non smoking facility, however the room we were first give had been smoked in, there was a smoke smell in the air, ashes by the window and a burn in the curtains. There was also dirt on the bed. We brought this to the attention of the front desk and they were very friendly, apologetic and immediately gave us an unexpected upgrade. The second room was better, but still the tub could have used a better cleaning and an air out. When we were checking out another guest mentioned that a previous guests shows and dirty socks had been left in their room. The hallway next to and in the elevator were very sticky and dirty for the first 6 hours we were there. Overall it is not a terrible hotel and the staff was very friendly. I doubt we would visit again, but there are worse places to stay.

Omg. When you walk in its so peaceful. The inside smells like flowers, it's clean (by the front desk) and the staff is extremely professional friendly and accommodating. The beds were checked and clean but I did, only for my sanity spray the bathroom down. Couple of black spots on the ceiling from moisture damage, and not too much room in the bathroom. Also, the sinks easily clog. BUT very minor detail. Great night sleep, and breakfast offered in the Am. This will definitely be my go to hotel.

Heavyweight comforter/spread. No other blanket … One on shelf. Bed okay but room needed cleaning better. Cleaned for second day. But TV was streaky with lick and promise clean. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Front desk personnel we're friendly and helpful, but we're busy with personal calls a couple of times I needed assistance with key not working. Needs a remodel.

Stay was good. For the price, couldn't have asked or expected more. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean. Right at the entrance to Birch run, easy to get to shopping and less than 10 minutes from Frankenmuth. Morning breakfast was a bonus. Would stay here again.

I stayed at Country Inn & Suites with my graduating daughter for a little senior shopping getaway at the outlets. I've done this with 2 other of my daughters and we have had fairly decent experiences. The first time, we asked for a different room because ours had a strong smell of smoke, though, it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. But they upgraded us and the room was pretty decent. The second time, we had a decent room, but, I noticed that they weren't doing as good of a job of cleaning. This time, … though we were shopping bargains, we got more than I bargained for… we came home with LICE! I, nor my family, have ever had lice & no one else we know has lice, so, I'm quite sure it was from the hotel. I had suspected they hadn't changed the sheets after finding some little crumbs in the bed, but, hoped the people before us were reasonably clean. Well, evidently, that wasn't the case. I always leave a tip for housekeeping, even if things aren't super clean, because, let's face it, it is a really hard job & these guys don't get much pay for the backbreaking work. But, now, I'm kind of sorry I left such a good tip. I understand the housekeeping staff may be in a hurry & not get every corner of the floor spic & span or miss a spot here or there, but, really… change the sheets and pillowcases, for goodness sake. That's just gross.

Clean. Some things are older such as a/c unit. Toilet doesn't work all the time. Friendly service. Would stay again.

Our room was clean, and staff seemed pretty nice. But I wasn't very impressed. I stayed here the night before my wedding and the night of my wedding, since it was close by. My first night there the bed was so rock hard that I got no sleep and was in a lot of pain for my wedding day. The day of my wedding my husband went up there and asked if we could switch to a room with a softer bed (my parents stayed there and said their bed was very soft) he was told no he couldn't switch, so since we already paid 375.00 for the two night (For a King suite) we stayed again the night of the wedding, at this point I was so sore from sleeping there the night before plus being on my feet all day for the wedding I got 2 hours of sleep because when I laid on the bed I was in so much pain… I'll never stay here again or recommend it. I think if you're paying 375.00 for two nights in a upgraded suite then you should probably get a comfortable bed instead of one that feels like your sleeping on bricks.

Very clean room, staff is 100 percent on top of everything. Also kind and genuine, pool was nice and clean, breakfast was great and so was the kind hearted breakfast lady. We will be back for sure! Great hotel when in birch run.

Was going to stay at the hotel overnight but things changed. Everytime the heater turned off it made a loud racket, there were noises on the roof and the phone decided to ring consecutively 3 times and no one was on the other side. Needless to say. We got our money back and left.

Room was pretty nice. Had an issue with the fridge, it was addressed within an hour. Breakfast was ok. Hot tub was nice as well.

Absolutely love this hotel. Cleanest place I have stayed at in years! Friendliest staff and you can’t forget about the management, Andrew really treats the guests like family and will go above and beyond to make sure you fully enjoyed your stay! Will be coming back and definitely recommend everyone makes this hotel their first option while staying in Birch Run!

Excellent stay with my wife and kids here at the country inn Birch run, MI. Pool was nice and clean, room was very clean, the staff there is very polite, respectful, kind. Never felt more welcoming. Birch run outlet mall is right across the hotel walking distance.

We found the hotel a little tired and worn. Staff was very accommodating and polite. Rooms need updating, AND decent size pillows. What's with the half pillows? Kitchen area for breakfast was clean and the food was good. Pool area was in need of cleaning. The hot tub had a dirty foamy ring around the top of the tub and the water definitely not hot enough. I spent 1 minute in the hot tub and that was 1 minute to long. The pool needed vacuuming and needed about another 10 degrees of heat in the water, too cold.

Great location for shopping, relaxing. Close to many amenities such as the outlet malls, restaurants and tourist spots like Frankenmuth. Great place to stay for families and couples. Reasonably priced and includes a hot breakfast.

Nice stay! Comfortable room. Nice pool and hot tub. No exercise room which is different than usual but that was ok. We had breakfast hot and ready in the morning.

Pretty standard room, slightly dated. Clean enough. New mattress was comfy. The options on the room heater alternate between either super hot or off, with nothing in between. Breakfast was pretty standard, the waffles were good.

Country Inn and Suites was a pleasant stay. It wasn't very busy, so was quiet. Breakfast was provided, they had available hot and cold fare, typical for a moderately priced hotel. There was a pool, we didn't use it. The rooms were clean. Service was good. Coffee is terrible. Being so close to the mall was very nice.

This Country Inn and Suites is sadly in need of updating. Most walls and doors are grimy and scuffed,. Our bathroom was only spot cleaned… the makeup that someone before us had spilled on the outside of the tub is still there and what looks like a toothpick is still under the vanity on the second day of our stay. The floor looks filthy because of the dirty grout. When we arrived, the person on the desk was very rude when asked if there was any milk for our two very young grandchildren. My son was told there was no milk on the premises. Even after he asked if there would be milk for cereal the next morning, he was told NO! When we went for breakfast what is the first thing we see? … a permanent milk machine! All she had to do was go into the breakfast room and fill two glasses! Definitely not the type of service that you would expect when traveling with children. This hotel does not live up to other Country Inns!

The room was super clean! love that the bathroom essentials were phthalate and sls free. The room had a pull out sofa perfect for the kids.

This hotel is a bit dated. The peo pl e seem nice. Initially out room had a plugged shower drain and. O hot water. After an attempt to unclog the drain the worker couldn't so we were given another room which is better but the ac in this room takes a looooong time to cool down. I am sure this was a nice place maybe 10 years ago but now it needs some more upkeep and work.

The hotel is within walking distance to the Birch run outlet stores, and was very convienent for doing some shopping. The hotel facility is nice and well kept. The rooms were clean and the spring beds were firm. The hotel smelled nice as well. The pool was tiled though and was very slippery, but very nice. Flat screen tvs in the rooms, water in the shower stayed hot, had a fridge and a microwave, coffee pot etc. Breakfast was well prepaired, standard buffet fair. The staff that I interacted with were pleasent and helpfull.

The location was convenient for us. The room had a few minor housekeeping concerns, such as some popcorn in the carpet and a spray bottle of something left on the night stand. Some of the outlets in the room were so loose that a plug would fall right out and some didn't work at all, specifically the one that the hair dryer was plugged into. I had to remove the hair dryer from the mount on the wall and plug it in elsewhere, the next two plugs I tried were garbage. The woman working the front desk when we checked in was very nice. The next morning we tried to eat the complimentary breakfast. The biscuits were hard as rocks. The eggs were watery, the apple juice was watery, the milk was watery, and the waffle batter was so watery that it wouldn't even cook! It was like they weren't going to get a shipment for a while and they had to make everything last as long as possible at the expence of quality. I said something to the attendant about it and she replaced the waffle batter twice, but it never got any better. When I checked out, the man at the desk asked me how breakfast was and I told him. He seemed shocked and stated that he hadn't gotten any other complaints. I love CI&S and this will not deter me from staying at another but I will not be back to this location.

The service was good, but the breakfast was terrible, and breakfast is a large reason why we stay at County Inn and Suites. The waffle batter was runny, so a good waffle could not be made. Also, the Apple juice seemed rather watered down. Those are what my son has for breakfast there, so we ended up going somewhere else to get food. I ended up leaving my pillow behind, and the person who answered the phone was able to find it and said she would mail it to me and charge the shipping to my card, which was nice.

Location was great. The room was nice and clean. Everyone working there was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Pretty cozy hotel right off the freeway. Clean room and awesome pool and hot tub area. Couldn't hook up a DVD player to the TV which was kind of lame. Also there was a fire pit off to the north side of the property which I could only assume was the bodies of people who trashed rooms. 10/10 very metal \m/

Hotel WREAKED of chlorine. The pool was on the main floor and we could still smell the stench from our room on the 2nd floor! The carpeting throughout the hotel looked dingy and old and not clean, esp considering this isn't a old hotel! The rates were not bad, but definitely get what you pay for. I won't be staying here again.

We just returned home from a 4 night stay at Birch Run. Awesome staff, couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Andy and his staff made us feel like family. We had some good laughs and great conversation. We did notice that there were a few guests that could use some lessons on how to treat the hard working hotel staff. I should point out that these guests should keep in mind that how you treat others really shows the bystander what kind of person you are. We have stayed at several different hotels and inns over the years, but have never been treated as well as we were at Birch Run. Thanks for your awesome hospitality and helping us build another great memory. We will definitely return. :)

It was a pleasant stay. I don’t have any complaints about the service, location. One of the best nights I've ever spent at a hotel.

The is no customer service at all at this hotel. Andy the GM manager at this hotel has no respect for anyone and the way he talked to my husband and myself on the phone was awful he called my husband "f***ing B**ch" what individual does that (especially the manager) in a line of business especially someone that deals with customer service. No matter how close this hotel is to the mall I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I thought Country Inn Suites were a great place to stay I will never ever spend my money there!

Stayed there the last few night on a business trip. Very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and courtesy. Would definitely stay here again. Very happy.

Nice hotel BUT we went up on june 22 which was a monday that night a tornado hit that area. No one ever called us to inform anyone. My family was sleeping. I asked the manger why noone called and he clearly said there was no tornado. He stated that he called that night to ask the gurl working if there was anything and she said it was just a bad storm. Being the owner u would think he would watch the new himself to see instead of calling and just asking. I was very disappointed with that situation I mean my family was in danger n never once was aone told to take cover. It would be such a issue if we were awake but this was at 10pm and after a long day everyone was already in bed.

I made a reservation over the phone with Melissa. Very nice person, however was calling me hun, over the phone, which kind of felt degrading. Upon check in, same lady was still calling us hun, which started to feel more like motel 6 instead of Club Carlson hotel. The gentleman on duty called me dear a couple of times during the stay, but I do have to admit staff were very efficient and welcoming, despite above mentioned casualties. The hotel is very nice, lobby has a warm and welcoming feeling, room is nice, bed very comfortable, bathroom appears to be recently remodeled, very nice. The only negative in a room was some kind of creature, looked like dead fly or insect inside the light fixture above the sink, located in between living room and the bedroom (we stayed in one bedroom suite), gave me a creepy feeling. Cleaning the inside of the light fixtures will solve this problem, as everything else in a room was clean and functional. We took advantage of a free breakfast, which was good and promptly replenished. It was nice to have free Wi-Fi, no problems there. Pool and whirlpool were nice, whirlpool wasn't hot enough, it feels hot upon entering, but the water stream coming out of the jets is just slightly warm. The location can not be beat, can easily walk to Birch Run outlets. Despite a few negatives mentioned, it is still a good value, prices are very reasonable, we would stay again.

This is a very nice, well managed, clean hotel. We always like to stay here when in Birch Run. It feels like home away from home. We stayed here last night. Room was clean, bed very comfortable, nice linens and bedding. TV reception was excellent and everything else was in good shape. All the amenities were in order. Hot free breakfast was adequate and the breakfast room was very well managed. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Also great location and value.

The service was great hotel maids would come in and exchange fresh towels, the room was very good had 2 televisons one when u come the room and one in the bedroom, also it had a sink in the hallway just like in a kitchen. The breakfast was excellent made fresh there on the spot, I would recommend this hotel.

Never again, I had the worst experience ever. I would have never thought this would happen to me, especially that I am very picky with the places I would stay at. I looked this place up and thought that I read a lot of good things about it. But I was totally wrong, I will make the story short I slept in the bed for 30 minutes and got up to turn on the light and realized I had red spots all over my arm. Now you figure out what was on the bed. I will never go back to this hotel again, went to Holiday Inn close by and the service was amazing and the rooms were so much more cleaner. I never post on these kind of sites but this really did it for me.

Fantastic. Helped me when I needed it. The manager and the staff were excellent, friendly and kind. I don't usually write these and I would certainly consider the manager very supportive of medical students.

Awful. What a horrible stay. I can't say that I have ever taken the time to review a hotel before, but I had to. The whole place smells like raging chlorine from the pool. The room was cramped if there is going to be more than one of you. The fridge was broken, which is unfortunate when you have a baby that needs milk. The bathroom smells like who knows what. Floor dirty, hair everywhere. The main room door is borderline impossible to open, and then you have to SLAM it shut. Very pleasant at 11 pm. When we called for a late checkout, as my husband had a seminar and I'm left with a baby, luggage, pack n play to get loaded out to the car, they first said we had to call the manager (why would we have to call them? ). They then said no, they'd have to charge us. The hotel is far from full. We are patient, semi-passive people that have put up with a lot before, but I wouldn't stay here again if you paid me.

We stayed here as it was the first hotel we saw when we pulled into Burch Run and I had stayed in another County Inn and enjoyed my stay there. We were not disappointed! The staff was great, although the maids forgot to take the dirty towels with them but replaced the old ones with new ones, the room was really nice, and it was really simple to get in and out of all times of days. The pool is only 4ft deep and their Jacuzzi tub was kinda lame with only jets placed every 3 ft and only on the walls, but besides the small things that can be overlooked, this was a great place to stay. If I ever go back, this is where I'll be staying.

Not the best country inn I have ever stayed at, but considering the price 62$ it was excellent. Nice to be right next to the outlet mall as well. Little better than average breakfast.

We always enjoy our stay with your hotel. It is clean and very nice for the price we pay, the new breakfast room (since we have been here last year) was a very very nice surprise. We especially like to chat with Andy for he is a very positive and charming staff person. We were sorry we missed him on this trip but look forward to seeing him in the fall. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.
