I ended up having to do an extended stay in our hometown because of home renovations. I was blown away by the kindness and professionalism of the staff. The hotel is locally owned and managed, with an indoor pool to boot. The warm breakfast buffet is cooked in house, and the chefs did a nice job of rotating dishes and ensuring that there was an option for everyone. If you valet your car you get in and out rights for 24 hours at a go, and for me, that was far easier than looking for parking downtown. I would unreservedly recommend them for my out-of-town guests, and I'm truly grateful for having been able to stay there.

Love this hotel! Great location to walk the downtown area and not have to find a parking space. Rooms are huge and staff is very friendly. I know this sounds strange but I love the shower floor. Your feet get a massage while you shower. Breakfast was delicious Laundry room and workout facilities are excellent. By the entrance they have a free small library, donate a book or pick one up to read. Cute idea! This is a great place to stay!

Was there to enter Zingerman's Greyline for an event. It was very clean and the food was better than expected. I really liked the bar and the interior design.

My girlfriend and I get to our room and there's no water! The gentleman at the front desk never bothered to mention it to us?!? Then when they did finally get it turned on there was this God awful noise that woke us up and went on for a long time. In the morning the water was a weird green color. Ugh! Very frustrating to spend that kind of money for a good room and that's the treatment we got. Disappointed to say the least!

Great stay given the location and amenities (such as A/C, breakfast, pool) but pretty standard for most hotels. Although the room we had was large there wasn't much to the rooms that put it over the top. The shower we had wouldn't drain effectively, so water slowly built up between people showering. Overall cleanliness was great. Would recommend for families staying for the weekend as (paid) parking is nearby and the hotel is close to popular Ann Arbor streets such as State St.

This had been incredible. It is rare to find such wonderful service at any hotel or resort. Everything is exceptional. But the people here, every one of them, really make this place special.

I visited friends staying here. The room was relatively small for a Residence Inn, but smartly furnished and comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

This is a great location in downtown Ann Arbor. The amenities in the suite were spectacular. My wife and I were impressed with the staff/service. The complimentary breakfast is above and beyond other hotels we have stayed in.

Very nice, spacious and modern. My stay was pleasant. Fare Ride also took me back and forth to my conference and DTW airport during my stay. Their assistance was vital because the shuttle wasn't available. It's also in a great location. Can walk to most vibrant areas around town.

Enjoyed our stay here! Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. Valet service is so convenient! Room was clean and seemed recently updated. The breakfast selection was decent: eggs, sausage, oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, etc. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

Stay here on travel all the time. I absolutely love this hotel! The staff knows me and makes me feel like I'm "at home" when I stay. The front desk staff is great and vigilant; I always feel safe here. Breakfast is fantastic here, rooms are clean. Occasionally I have issues with the TV setup in the rooms.

We just stayed in the panoramic king suite, it was amazing. The room was very clean. The staff and valet workers were outstanding. I have never in my life been treated this good at another hotel. They are willing to go above and beyond for their customers. I unfortunately couldn’t eat at the breakfast bar because I was having surgery that day, but my husband did and said it was definitely worth 5 stars. I definitely plan to visit again, and tell everyone I know how great of a stay this was. Only thing that could have been better was if they had a hot tub, but they just have a pool, but I already knew this ahead of time. It’s a very nice pool I have to add. Stay at this hotel and you wont be disappointed!

Beautiful and clean room. The staff was AMAZING and went above and beyond. Nicolette at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful and the valet workers were very helpful as well. They came out into the blizzard to help us load our baggage so we could get our baby out of the cold. Best hotel experience I have had in a long time.

Nice rooms and comfy bed. Parking is an issue with valet only for $20 extra a night. I had a terrible view from room 416 — some are much better I am sure. All for $260 a night. Liked it but not sure I will stay here again. Staff were OK, did not offer me an upgrade (I am a Marriott Platinum member)

Awesome location and absolutely beautiful hotel! Nicolette at the front desk was by far the most welcoming and funny person we have ever met at a hotel! Room was fabulous! Would definitely return and recommend!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on January 21, 2018. She is recovering from shoulder surgery. As she was stepping out of the bathtub, she reached for the steel bar to brace herself. The bar was not attached to the wall. It came completely out of the wall and she nearly fell to her knees and stretched her injured shoulder trying to prevent a fall. We attempted to speak with a manager twice today to share our concern. Nobody returned our call. Room 222. This is a huge safety concern and it was clearly broken prior to our stay. A careless oversight could cause someone a serious injury.

The hotel property is great. The location is perfect and I'm glad there is a good hotel option in the downtown area now. The customer service was also a plus. I like the design of the hotel room however the heating system and our TV did not work. It was New Years Eve so the hotel was not able to relocate us. The front desk staff was very apologetic and took care of the situation the next day. Therefore I will come back for another stay.

The staff has been very nice and helpful from the front desk to the valet to the room service. The location allows me to keep the car parked all weekend. The kitchen allows me to make my own food. I'm more than willing to pay for this place during my annual visit here because it's just that nice.

Rooms were clean and lovely. Wonderful customer service as well. Had a great and quiet night.

Room was very noisy! Looked over roof mechanical and in room heating was constant noise. Staff was great.

I really enjoyed my stayed. The room was clean and the staff was very nice. I am given them 4 stars because their parking situation is not ideal. However, I will be back.

Can't beat the location and the room was top notch as well. Check in was super easy, staff is very helpful and friendly. Parking fee is outrageous which is why I didn't park there. Would absolutely stay there again.

Rooms were very clean and updated. The staff was outstanding. Parking is the only issue but the valet service was great if you can afford the extra cash.

I attended a training session here. I did not stay at the hotel overnight. The accommodations for our meeting were nice and spacious. The washroom was clean. The food was yummy.

I had my batchlorette party in a two bedroom suite. It was perfect! The woman at the front desk was such a warm welcoming person. She even took our picture before we went out.

Huge rooms! Very nice bathroom and shower. Full kitchen (except oven) with a full sized fridge. Family said the salt water pool was awesome.

The room was excellent. Spacious, comfortable, and stocked with everything I needed. The TV had HBO! The employees were stellar — they helped my mom when she rolled her ankle on the curb outside and and gave me some much needed late night conversation on my way past the front desk.

Best hotel in downtown Ann Arbor. Don't even consider staying anywhere else. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed there for a night while the plumbing was being fixed at our home. The staff there was incredible. Could tell we weren't having the best of days and made sure they accommodated us to the fullest. Social hour was a nice touch and the pool was great. Would definitely stay again if I'm in need of a "staycation" in Ann Arbor.

Location is convenient being right downtown. The amenities are okay and better than other hotels with no gym or pool. Front desk folks were nice and attentive as well.

Every Residence Inn is fabulous! Manager provided us a bottle of wine since we missed happy hour. Rooms are spacious and super clean. Quiet!

This place was amazing! We will be here again, for sure! The staff was nice from the time we drove up till the time they closed our doors to leave! The room was clean and modern! It's a place we could have stayed forever!

Managers are rude, and I heard a few times a manager named Markkel make fun of a few employees and say rude things about them to people. My room was decent, they forgot our soap, I went down to front desk and I overheard people say a woman named Jessica had cleaned the room and was also saying rude and mean things about her. A lot of the higher employees seem like they like talking about people behind their backs and it's just high school drama to me. My room was fine, everything was fine I just didn't like how things were ran.

What a wonderful location. The staff bent over backwards to make us feel welcome and pampered. What a great way to celebrate our anniversary!

Pleasantly surprised. Very impressed. Everything we ate from appetizers to dessert was superb. The combination of flavors. Presentation of food. Uniqueness on how it was prepared. The seasonal vegetables They really nailed it. What a great dining experience! Restaurant is cute and cozy. Great date night place!

Gorgeous room with tons of space: kitchenette, living room, bedroom. It is brand new and has beautiful, stylish furniture. The staff at the front desk was extra-friendly and helpful (even for a Marriot property). They included a power strip in the bedroom so that we could plug in everything. Why doesn't every hotel do that?! The bathroom was large with tons of counter space. Weirdly, the shower wasn't fully enclosed, and water spilled onto the bathroom floor to form a large puddle. The shower design looks great, but the glass in front of the shower isn't big enough.

This is the hotel to stay at in Ann Arbor! It is brand new and has a very modern interior. I really appreciated the 24/7 coffee and the complimentary food and drinks they served. The staff was very, very friendly and extremely helpful and timely with all of my requests. Our room was spotless and beyond cozy. I felt right at home at the Residence Inn!

Stayed at this hotel on a visit to U of M Cancer Center. Staff is extremely friendly and courteous. I will definitely stay here on future visits. Great location, within walking distance of many excellent shops and restaurants.

We are a local running group — RUN ANN ARBOR — and we have been meeting at this hotel every Tuesday night at 6pm for the past year. The complete staff have been so accommodating and friendly to us. The runners feel welcome and are excited about the hotel. I have never met a friendly staff and I have traveled all over the country. RUN ANN ARBOR highly recommends this hotel. Thank you Residence Inn Marriott for your gracious hospitality.

My fiancé and I haven't stayed at the hotel, but when we were referred there by our wedding venue across the street, we had a terrible experience with lack of follow up by the staff and sales department. The only helpful person was Rosalind, but she was promoted and moved to another location so we had to revert back to Craig. Craig actually referred us to other hotels because there was not enough rooms available left to block anymore off — and they also couldn't offer a specia…l rate so we're paying $250 a night. In reality, they had 75 rooms available at that time so we were basically blown off and sent to a competing hotel, which is an odd move for a Sales manager, no? I'm sure he does a fine job but if that's how Residence Inn Marriot's typically operate, it speaks poorly for the client experience being provided. It's a shame to see such a beautiful new hotel have such awful customer service. We were able to find accommodations elsewhere but the locations are further away from our reception venue. However, The Holiday Inn provided a much better rate their sales team have been excellent. They understand we're going through a hectic time with all the planning needed before June 11th, and have been flexible every step of the way. I would highly recommend NOT staying at the Residence Inn Marriot, the experience doesn't sound like it matches the nightly rates. We have to travel to Ann Arbor on nearly a weekly basis and don't ever plan on staying at this hotel.
