Being home is important to most every one, well I was home, for 6 weeks! The comforts are unmeasureable, the food was great and the people I can't believe how friendly and helpful. I would go back in a heart beat!

Very friendly staff, easily accommodated 3 hockey teams with good breakfasts. Staff had a friendly competition promoting each team. Karen made a poster and all the boys signed it, / I am sure she would have won. Great effort Karen, thanks.

The place is in good shape, a good basic hotel. Probably recently renovated. Minor things about the room weren't quite perfect, like the shower head and sticky hinge on the door, but I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Great location for umich north campus. Good food nearby.

Nice hotel for the price. Walk to North campus from here. There is a Plum Market a few steps away with a wonderful beer and wine selection. Room was a bit small and no hot tub but the pool was warm and the deck area was clean. The manager Jesse went out of her way to accommodate our large group and opened a gathering room for us for privacy after a funeral. Very sensitive to our needs and very much appreciated. My only complaint was the number of college student milling about not stay at the hotel but it was move in week. Would stay again but on a different week.

Currently staying three nights. The AC is not working, toilet won’t flush, and the pillows are well past their useful life. Tried to call the guest service desk four times to address the AC issue as the room is warm and nobody ever answered. We were diamond members but have since taken our personal and professional stays elsewhere. There is nothing worse than staying in a room with no AC.

I spent 3 nights here as a motor coach driver whilst taking a group from Ontario round the area. I was very impressed with the friendly staff, who amongst other things, courteously assisted me in fitting my bus in the parking lot. The room was spacious and overall clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Stayed overnight to catch a good night's sleep and get recharged after camping for five nights. The room was spacious, had good blinds for helping me stay in bed, and the fridge and microwave helped me eat at odd hours. The hot breakfast was also clutch in the morning. On the downside, a water main broke overnight so I wasn't able to bathe, brush my teeth, or user the toilet. Management only offered me a $25 refund and complementary late check out of 2pm (but had no idea when the water would be fixed). They tried calling nearby places to see if there was anywhere I could go, but no other hotels would help. It was only at my suggestion that they call that other Hampton inn in Ann Arbor to see if I could shower there, but they made me find my own transportation to that location. Being that it was 90 degrees and humid out, I was disgusting and left with no great options. In short — this would've been the perfect stop to recharge after camping, but no water is totally unacceptable and feels illegal. $25 is not adequate compensation for that inconvenience and I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.

It was nice place. The pool was a great temperature. Good breakfast. The staff was very frendly. Our only problem was the the A/C kept freezing up because of how hot it was out side. When we arrived the room was cool for us.

Clean hotel. U of M is a few miles away. There is a nice park a short drive south that has a place to use your canoe or kayak or paths to walk or jog on. The bathroom was a bit small yet it functioned just fine. It may have been 90+ outside during the day but the a. C. Unit compressor ran continuously all night. The room wouldn't cool below 69 at night. Overall a nice hotel with nice views of the surrounding hills.

The location was easy access right off the highway. The room was cozy, clean, and we'll appointed. The beds, and pillows, and blankets were sooo comfy I didn't want to get out of bed in the morning. And the breakfast was just perfect, hot and fresh, with several options. All in all, a perfect night (and morning) in a hotel.

Clean room, excellent service, fantastic breakfast! I can't say enough good things about this place. We were there for a graduation and the front desk gave us graduation-themed swag bags and had a spread set out in the afternoon as all of the families were checking in the day before. Later my kids wanted to make graduation cards and the front desk provided a little free pack of crayons for each kid. After a while my kids were being too loud and the front desk called saying they received a complaint but they were completely respectful and helpful about it. Breakfast this morning included cheesy omelets, waffles, pastries, fruit, cereal, toast, granola, yogurt… I could go on. Parking was free and plentiful and there was a very clean pool that unfortunately we didn't get to try. Hotwire said this place was 2.5 stars but it felt like a 4 star place — thanks for a great stay!

Location was great. Rooms were clean and service was pretty amazing.

Had a nice stay there for a couple of weeks. Room big enough and clean, nice people. Free parking available close to the hotel and good free internet connection with premium access as option.

The place was pretty clean. There were some dusty spots in the bathroom and main room and one of the tiles in the bathroom was cracked. Our toilet ran all night but it wasn't too loud. The room was quiet and the breakfast bar wasn't bad. Seating is limited at least on a Saturday morning. The front desk staff is very kind and having the Apple Bees attached to the hotel is a fun added bonus.

I usually stay at the Holiday Inn across the street. The Hampton is just as good. Clean and convenient. Applebee's is attached, don't even have to go out side! The gym is terrible, one treadmill and one elliptical. That's it. If it had just about anything else I would have given 5 stars.

Would never stay here again due to the rude staff and management. Quiet time is 10:30pm, and from 7p to 8:30p, the hotel guests in the lobby were harassed for talking too loudly and socializing. We booked several rooms for a sports tournament, and were kind and encouraging to other teams within the building. Those other teams were allowed to run up and down the hallways, elevators and stairs until 12am the previous night and ride hover boards in the hallways starting at 6am. Those are actions that were blamed on us. Maybe in the future, they should put all the teams together and not spread them throughout the hotel and they can isolate their problem guests. The sales rep should not invite large groups and then threaten to make them leave for loitering in the lobby, knowing full well that leaving the hotel kicks us out of the tournament. If they are going to invite large groups as such, then they should have accommodations for parents of these groups to be able to socialize. Been to several other tournaments and several other Hampton Inns, this one by far was the worst stay!

Better than average hotel. Not very impressed with how the room was well used and the shower mixture valve would not work on anything but scalding hot. Otherwise, it was good for just a bit more than $100 a night.

An older hotel. Clean, excellent staff. Took quite a while to get our room keys to work — maintenance found batteries for door opener were depleted. We stayed here at suggestion of U of M Hospital as husband was having surgery. Received good discount. Thank you.

I was only one night but it was enough to realize that it is a quiet place, the rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast was good and the pool was in good temperature. We plan to return soon again.

Not quite up to standard Hampton I've seen. No bottled water and breakfast was not so good. Customer service was great though. Above average in that respect.

I stayed at this location to visit the University of Michigan and attend a football game. It's a great location, close to the school and shuttle bus to the game. The hotel has very friendly and helpful staff. The room was great and overall my stay was great. If you plan to see a Michigan game or are visiting Ann Arbor, this is a great location to stay at.

Rooms were clean. Staff was nice. I think the building needs a bit of renovation. It's an old building. Air conditioning was quite loud in our room. Bulb was flickering in the washroom. Breakfast needs improvement! Beds were comfy. There was ample parking available.

Was a guest overnight. Did not spend alot of time in the room. Was visiting Ann arbor for a bachelor party. Complimentary coffee in the lobby was nice and they had a toothbrush available for me since I left mine at home. Staff was able to split the room cost between 4 people which was awesome.

Great hotel! Staff were friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable… breakfast was good each morning… the coffee was watered down but all in all great place to stay. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Aaron at the Front desk was very friendly and helpful. The location is great next to a major highway. Beds were extremely comfy. This hotel deserve 5 stars. The only issue I had was I asked for a late check out and housekeep was knocking on my door 20 after 10. I'm sure it was an honest mistake. Other than that had a great stay and will return.

This hotel is quite convenient to the freeway and is nice for the price. The room, while not very spacious, is well designed to take full advantage of what's available, but the couch doesn't face the television. There is no hot tub, but there is a pool. Staff is very friendly. The breakfast items always taste a little off. Parking is plentiful. There's a grocery store and pharmacy across the parking lot, and an Applebee's restaurant connected to the hotel building. Room service is not available. The TV doesn't have a terrible menu to navigate out of and has HBO, but the remote cannot activate the sleep timer function. Two bars of soap are provided in the bathroom, which scores an automatic extra point in my book.

Despite the challenges of wide spread power outages in the area for the previous few days, the staff was cheerful and helpful as always (even going above and beyond in a couple instances). My son and I were forced to stay at another local hotel Friday night; and never so happy to return "home" to a place we have come to count on, realizing more clearly all the little things that make this place so great.

Best Hampton Inn I have been to. I already put a review on Trip Advisor but this deems another review. From our arrival and the warm welcome we received, to the cleanliness of the rooms, to the continued service, this hotel was well worth it. It was the cheapest of the other hotels I was looking at and did not disappoint. … I was heading back to Chicago when I realized I left a bracelet and sure enough they found it and kept it for me as we had to turn around. I would like to think the staff is well taken care of and if not, you may want to consider making sure you invest in your employees because they are what makes your hotel successful! Job well done staff and I can't thank you enough for the pleasant stay for me and my family.

I was sad there's no longer a hot tub, and the rooms are small for a longer stay (a comfy chair would do the trick! ). We also found housekeeping to be a bit spotty (though that may have been because we were in and out so much). The staff was lovely, however, and quick to respond to our clogged toilet. The accommodations are lovely! Oh… no towel bars, what's up with that?!

Staff was great. Friendly and very helpful. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was included and was good. Hotel is right off US 23 and easy to find.

A little old I think. Fitness room has 1 treadmill, 1 elliptical — that's all, and it gets super hot. BUT, you can get a key for a 24 hour gym across the street. For a Hampton, this isn't the newest or nicest I've been in, but it's still pretty good.

Nice hotel. DirecTV, free cookies, good breakfast (standard hotel fare). Four stars because there was no (functional) vent in the bathroom so it got really steamy and the mirror had to be de-fogged.

All staff were friendly and efficient from desk staff to cleaning staff to people making and stocking the breakfast bar. The rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was standard — fruit, cereal, bagels and muffins, eggs, sausage, yogurt, and a waffle maker. We had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Always clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. It can be quite busy, but there's a good reason for that. It was always the place I stayed before I moved to Ann Arbor, ands it's still where I recommend friends and family to stay when they come to visit. Conveniently located near US 23, Domino Farms, and University of Michigan's north campus.

The front desk staff, Venicia, was AWESOME! She has great personable people skills. The room was fine. Clean, comfortable. The continental breakfast was disappointing. Scrambled eggs looked and tasted like they were from a box. No bacon or sausage but something that resembled ring baloney. Ick. Coffee was great!

We had a wonderful overnight stay at the Hampton Inn last week and the very friendly front desk personnel contributed to our fun experience. Also, I would like to extend my sincerest and warmest thanks and appreciation to the thoughtful and considerate staff who found and returned the Kindle I left behind. I'm truly grateful for their kindness! Again, thanks!

Check in was too easy. This website says there is a hot tub, but this has been permanently closed and I needed this for therapy. Wifi sucks. Room was clean. Too expensive for not having what I needed.

Their "flat screen tv" in their room doesn't have an HDMI port. Oh and the bed wasn't cleaned from the guest before us. It looks like whoever stayed before us jumped out of bed and they just gave the room to us. The Wi-Fi is terrible. The Red Roof Inn has a stronger signal.

Love it! the gentlemen up at the front desk named Brandon Dickens was very helpful and gave me a beyond good service experience. Thank you Hampton inn I will definitely come back again.

At one point the hallway smelled intensely like pool but other then that stay was very enjoyable.

It was clean and nothing went wrong. The TV was stuck on the weather channel, but I learned a lot about weather.

This was a great place to stay over the weekend for attending a University of Michigan competition. We were under 10 minutes away. The hotel offers a shuttle service. FREE COFFEE WAS AVAILABLE ALL DAY AND NIGHT! And we had a few extra requests they handled well. I also had very expensive equipment that you can tell the maids worked around carefully without touching it. Pretty average hotel room but we didn't pay for anything crazy extravagant. But was noticeably very clean. Also the beds were way comfy… even better than the one I own. I chose this because it had great reviews and was so close to Stamps and Engineering school at U of M and was affordable.

Room was clean and comfortable but a little outdated. I was given a handicap-accesible room when I didn't need it.

Had a wonderful stay, Q at the Front Desk was awesome, he called the Gandy Dancer and got us a free appetizer. The room was recently remodeled. The entire Staff was friendly and helpful.

I wasn't able to stay, so I called to cancel my reservation 3+ days before planned trip. Apparently they have a 1 WEEK cancellation policy, which I had not noticed. They offered no relief and simply charged me for a night's stay anyway. They could have had my loyalty by being accommodating, but they chose to stick it to me. There was something more insidious about their lack of help — everyone I spoke to seemed fearful of the owner/GM. Nobody could make any decision to help me — or at least take initiative and tell me no — they had to wait 2 days for the GM to return to tell me no. That's not a good sign for a healthy hotel staff. I complained on twitter and got a meek reply from Hilton corporate. They could have helped, too (how about some miles? ), but they didn't. They just didn't want complaints to be public, of course. Very unimpressed. make sure you check the cancellation policy if you choose to stay here.

We were welcomed to this lovely hotel by a Misa at the front desk. Notice I said "welcomed" and not just "greeted? " That's because personified great customer service. Friendly and professional! This hotel is comfortable, quiet, clean as a whistle and has a terrific breakfast. Also free fast Wi-Fi. Reasonably priced, this is a great value. I recommend it.

I am surprised at the comments here. I was here for a week in march 2011, and was impressed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast very good, a broken room phone replaced immediately, excellent service, also free shuttle services to offices. The food at the neighboring Applebee's restaurant was not very much to my liking, and the hotel is not close to the center. I wouldn't mind staying there again.
