Not worth the price at all. $350 a night for no bathtub, no room service, no microwave, a small restaurant with pub options (which isn’t updated in the app), and rude valet. Spend your money elsewhere.

We chose to stay here due to its pet friendliness and location The staff including valet were wonderful and accommodating. Since its location is right downtown, we were able to walk everywhere for food, shopping. And entertainment. Will stay here again!

I stayed here with my mom back in the summer to take her to two days of U of M appointments. I was impressed with their safety protocols due to COVID and the staff was always extremely friendly. I loved how the Valet was always quick to arrive to grab the car. Due to COVID we had to ask for ice and I texted the front desk and had ice within 5 minutes. I loved that they made it contactless so I was able to grab it safely. Let's also talk about the historic charm. I can't wait to stay again!

We loved staying here. The room was comfortable and inviting. It was the nicest hotel we have stayed at in a long time.

Incredible experience. Staff is so kind and extremely helpful. If you dine at the Allen Rumsey lounge inside the hotel, order the sirloin! it was delish! Also, all aesthetics were ON POINT throughout the entire hotel! Would highly recommend.

BEWARE OF THE VALET PARKING! We had items taken from our car while in possession of the hotel. The items were worth less than $50. We DID NOT ask for our parking fee back and still had no luck discussing with the hotel. Our point was simply to inform them that there was a situation/problem with the valet parking. They didn’t really seem to be interested! Very disappointing, otherwise the place is lovely. just beware!

The collegiate theme, with particular references to University of Michigan, made for a nice experience. It felt like part of the campus, and the location couldn't be more convenient.

Great atmosphere and staff, in a perfect location. Very clubby feel, perfect for a college town. Bar area is nice and comfortable.

I have been staying at this hotel for the past 2-3 years, I have always been treated very well, like old friends at this point. Sometimes I’m there alone and always feel safe, sometimes I’m there with the entire family, including the dog. Everyone working at this hotel is very kind and goes out of their way to offer the best service. The entire family was in the hotel on Move In weekend this year, it was very busy at the hotel, however, they took the time to write out a card… to say Happy Anniversary to me and my husband and leave a goody basket in our room. That alone was very thoughtful, however they didn’t stop there, they made sure that our dog was given a Bark Box. You would think I’m done raving about this hotel, but I’m not. The best service that we received that weekend was from Amanda (in valet), she made sure to accommodate us with a spot in the back of the hotel to park our trailer full of furniture and our daughters belongings until we could move her in. Amanda made sure that my husbands truck and the trailer were accommodated in the back of the hotel. That took away the worry of it sitting in an unattended public garage. This type of service starts with the Front Desk Manager Christeen King to Rami at the Front Desk (who must have arranged for the anniversary surprise) and to Amanda in Valet, she is always there with a smile on her face and a willingness to help (it’s always a pleasure to drive in and see her there). Thank you all, I’m your Fan.

Under new management, this is a very decent hotel that has undertaken a mostly successful redecoration. Our room was unfortunately painted in gloomy colours and the bathroom a little tired. The lobby features a great long table with comfy chairs and is a good place to pose the computer. And to do a little work, fuelled by the deli which offers a solid range of beverages and bagels. Not found a better hotel in Ann Arbor. Been coming for years. Once, a long, long time ago, I ran into John Lennon in the lobby! The key to this hotel, ever since it was called the Campus Inn, is the exceptionally friendly staff.

Clean rooms and helpful staff. Took the "school" theme a bit far, though. Can hear your neighbours quite loudly unfortunately. Downfall is there is no restaurant for breakfast. There is somewhere to get coffees and sandwiches but a restaurant (even a small one) is nice for travelers so you don't have to leave the hotel first thing.

This is a great college town hotel, and would be a top choice on game day. The service so far has been great. The decor is charming, but loses 1 star for pushing too hard into kitschy at times (for example the guide book in the room) but the lobby and outdoors is pretty great.

Very happy with our stay at The Graduate. The hotel lobby and halls had an old school dormitory feel. The rooms were cozy and decorated with vintage style prints and memorabilia from the University of Michigan. The bed was comfortable, the space was adequate for two, and the amenities were modern. Definitely would stay here again!

It is a super fun theme, meticulously planned out and not detail missed. It's got every theme of every school memory! The service is good, the restaurant is great! They even have cool roadster bicycles that you can use to get around town!

Great place with an interesting theme. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. They have bikes for rent by the hour to take a tour around town.

Very clean hotel that is definitely catered toward University of Michigan families visiting. The food at the hotel is awful, so I would recommend going to one of the many restaurants that are in walking distance of the hotel. There are many areas in the hotel to do work comfortably.

Really enjoyed staying here. The location was absolutely perfect. Very close to all of the main attractions in Ann Arbor. My room was also clean and comfortable. Adored daily access to the cafe and freshly made pastries in lobby, very accommodating perk, impressed by the vintage decor, it gives the hotel an appealing warm ambiance. Have to mention the staff, so nice and very helpful at all times. Amina always had a bright smile each day and was so helpful with my requests and concierge services. I'll definitley return to stay whenever visiting to Ann Arbor.

Small rooms. Not worthy of a 4 star rating. Noisy, it’s like there is no sound proofing be prepared to hear every word your neighbor says. Dark rooms. No heat control in rooms even though it looks like you can change it. Small dark bathroom. One plus side the staff was all very nice! Only gave 2 star because of staff otherwise a one star hotel.

I immediately fell in love, the atmosphere was very comfortable and very clean. I grew up coming to ann arbor and as a big u of m fan I enjoyed the Intriguing history through out in art. We were here to celebrate my husband's birthday and were very pleased with our room, comfortable and a very convenient location to all we were there do downtown! We walked to everything it was great just wish we didn't have to pay valet for 2 days. Great quality and will for sure stay a here or any other graduate place!

If you are a Michigan fan this place is a must stay, even if you are not it is a wonderful place with a rich history and a great staff. It is a great location and close to the campus and downtown.

I spent three nights at the Graduate Ann Arbor and I was not overly impressed. My experience was as follows: I found the rooms to be on the smaller size for the price. Additionally the lighting in the place was horrendous. Ladies you are better off doing your make-up in the back parking lot at least there is natural light out there. The food was ok, they did have friendly staff.

Attended a wonderful banquet with great decorations and an overall really nice atmosphere. The food was solid, but the service often was a bit quick in taking the food away. The appetizers we're wonderful, and otherwise service was great.

Fantastic old world charm atmosphere. Wonderful lobby that invites a small group discussion or study session. Comfortable yet elegant. Gorgeous rich decor in guest rooms alows you to feel like you are at home. So much more than the typical large chain hotels prevalent around the country.

This is a very nice luxurious Hotel. The decor is unique. It has a university slash sports theme. It's a little bit on the small side but the beds are huge. I really like how they put former alumni on the room Card keys very reasonable pricing on the weekdays. I'm not sure how expensive they would be on the weekends.

Nice hotel. Great staff. Very unique decor. I meet some colleagues there and there was plenty of room for the four of us to meet in the lobby without having to rent a meeting room.

Parents stayed here for a few nights while visiting. The hotel is quite elegant and this is reflected by the upscale lobby. There is also a nice restaurant on the first floor. The rooms are all very nice, I would say of the same quality as a nice 5-star hotel. The beds all are decorated with little Tom Brady and Charles Woodson jersey pillows which adds a nice and unqiue Michigan welcome. The fact that the hotel is often booked weeks in advance tells you all you need to know about the Graduate's reputation.

My wife works in Ann Arbor over night one day a week and stays at this hotel… It's about 150 miles from me so I was useless tonight in my ability to help when she felt very sick with flu like symptoms. She left her phone charger behind and just wanted to be able to call if symptoms got worse. I called the hotel and they sent someone to cvs to get the medication I requested and a phone charger for my wife! morgan… perfect service. Thanks so much for going out of your way to make sure your guest was taken care of, and for making me feel like it was not a burden at all to make a crazy request like that.

Nice hotel, only dark in the rooms. Clean and comfortable.

The Graduate is a nice hotel and I enjoyed my stay. A few disappointments to mention, but not deal breakers. I had booked this for a local NYE weekend getaway and loved the fact it was pet friendly. Upon booking, I was told that my dogs would receive free bark boxes which included bowls, blankets and treats. When we checked in, I had to ask about the bark boxes, which then I was told they didn't have any. No big deal, but still was looking forward to that cute perk upon arrival. Plus I had not brought bowls for water/food so I had to ask for some, which they accommodated. There was no space for my dogs to use the bathroom so I had to walk them around the corner, which was a little inconvenient given the negative wind chill weather. I was also not informed that the hotel was Valet parking only which is $25 per day. I had previously made NYE dinner reservations at the Allen Rumsey Supper Club, the menu looked amazing. I was informed a week prior that the restaurant had closed permanently and only the bar would be available. Again disappointed that my NYE dinner plans were now cancelled. Luckily the bar staff (Tanya) was great to talk to and made amazing cocktails. The next day bloody Mary and mimosa bar was also very nice and not overpriced. The hotel staff did end up delivering an appetizer that I had ordered to my room, even though they do not offer room service, which was very thoughtful. Overall, the stay was nice.

We called ahead to ask for early check-in. Upon arriving, met with smiling & attentive staff. Within minutes of being on site, we were in our room. The room was well kept, great views overlooking the river, and exceptionally staged decor throughout. The location is walking distance from our favorite shops & restaurants. Graduate Ann Arbor has an in-house coffee shop. The coffee was good and baked-goods kept us coming back. Pam (housekeeping) greeted us each morning with a smile and ensured we were well taken care of. Her attention to detail was noticed immediately and will be something we remember for a while.

The Graduate Hotel on S. State and Huron is a great Banquet location. The food and service are excellent, and the staff are great to work with. My only complaint is the price, but you definitely get what you pay for.

The hotel is located in downtown Ann Arbor. It is easy to walk to all the places without problems. The hotel is superb from the moment you walk into the room. Everyone who works helps with anything they need with a smile. The bed is very comfortable. In the bathroom you have body soap, shampoo, and good quality conditioner. I'll stay at the hotel again.

I was at the Graduate to meet with potential employers. The lobby is very ornate and the space is very comfortable. The little coffee shop in the lobby is good, the people are nice, and the scones and coffee and delicious. Parking and covered driveway access are also nice features.

Fleas. Do not bring your dogs here. My dogs had never had fleas before and now they are both infested. My night stay was a gift from a friend and now I have to have my dogs groomed and house treated. Absolutely ridiculous. On top of that my room was next to the elevator which could be heard running right on the other side of our headboard all night. I was given dirty bowls for my dogs and the coffee maker in my room was moldy. My "view" was of the dumpsters and parking lot.

Adorable hotel near a lot of restaurants and campus. No room service, no big deal. Check out is at noon but when I called for a late checkout she said she could let me check out at 11:30. Um, what? I asked about the checkout time printed in the room's booklet being noon and she said that the hotel was fully booked and needed the room. Good thing I called? The gym is above average for a hotel — free weights! Overall, I enjoyed the old-school theme and it was clean.

It's a very upscale themed hotel. The service is great, and the rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The only downside is that the rooms are on the smaller side.

Very nice hotel! It seems like a nice quiet place to stay. It had an eclectic look and feel to it. Would definetly consider staying here or visiting again.

A pleasant surprise. We hadn't heard much about this hotel and weren't sure about the "retro dorm themed" rooms but they pulled it off nicely. We came for Ann Arbor Art Fair and location was perfect, one block away Art Fair. The rooms were pretty cool and the dorm theme permeates throughout including the student ID themed key cards. (We got Iggy Pop, one of my favorites! ) Nice view from room 913 which faces residential neighborhood but I would think city side has a nicer view of downtown. Valet parking was convenient and efficient and staff was very attentive and helpful. A little cafe in lobby serves good coffee and various baked goods in addition to a limited breakfast menu. Bagels were ok and the breakfast burrito was pretty good. Staff that worked the lobby cafe were very friendly and fast service. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Ann Arbor.

Hotel looks cool, but my room had issues. Floor in the room was sticky and the shower has dispensers for shampoo and body wash. One of the dispensers didn't work, so I didn't have any body wash for my shower. Hope nobody noticed the smelly guy walking around.

This was such a nice hotel. The UofM theme throughout the place and all of the decor was really cool. The staff was friendly and they gave us vouchers for eating and visiting the coffee shop in the hotel… which was a nice added bonus. Highly recommend.

Honest Pros and cons: Very nice hotel and the theme is super fun. The beds and linens are extremely fluffy complete with what I suspect is 2 feather down pillows for each guest. So if you like to sink into your bed over stiff support foam this is the place for you! The artwork and furniture are fun and interesting and the rugs are thick and expensive feeling. From what I had at the bar the staff seemed competent and had a few nice signature drinks. The showers have full sized mounted shower soap, conditioner, and shampoo (yassssss! Amazing! ) which is great if you have thick or long hair. The windows in each room are large with a nice view of downtown. However, here's why it didn't get a five star. The bathrooms are actually quite small and have no drawers or much storage space for personal items. So if you got a lot of makeup and ect exspect it to be scattered all over the sink. I did find a few things dirty in my room such as a hair on the sink and a spot on my linen. Also the Kleenex box looked dusty as though not everything in each room gets hibitually clean. The room walls did seem thin as I could hear normal hotel guest sounds (footsteps, doors closing). I would recommend If you don't sleep through noise please bring a small fan or noise maker. Speaking of noise… if you stay over Saturday through Sunday morning this hotel is next to a church that starting at 8 rings its bells ever half hour. Also I felt that 6am for breakfast was a bit early (

The hotel is absolutely charming and a really fun place to stay. Also ate dinner at the restaurant, which was quite good. The bar is fun and cozy feeling. My only real complaint would be the size of the rooms. There were 5 of us staying in one room which makes any room feel a bit small, but there was really only room for a single person in the bathroom and unless people were on beds, getting by one another was a bit of a squeeze. They were however very clean and well maintained, which definitely helped to make up for that!

Found this little nugget while searching for a night away. Great deal on the room however, when we pulled up there is a $25.00 parking fee so the deal on the room was not so great. The valet didn't as or try to help with a cart at all. Check in was easy with extremely friendly staff. Our first room was nice and with a great view (that we paid extra for) but unfortunately someone forgot to clean out the fridge and the smell was horrible so we called and they immediately put us in another room. Unfortunately the new room was across the hall and the view wa not so great but we had a clean fridge. The rooms are clean and the decor is perfect for Ann Arbor. Restaurants, shops and bars are within walking distance.

While staff is very nice, the physical aspect of the hotel was a huge disappointment. The renovation looks like it was designed by an 18 year old from 1952 — cheap pictures duplicated in the rooms, supposed to look cute but extremely cheesy. Think of a female hunter with an astonished face capturing — — marshmallows, yes, marshmallows. Plaid carpets. You feel like you fell into a dining room that you would take your great grandparents from the nursing home so they could reminisce. When rooms went for 250-300 per night, you feel ripped off. What happened to these interior designers! Its clean and well-located, to be sure. But it desperately needs a redo to the redo!

When this was the Campus Inn, booking rooms for travellers was fast and easy. Now to book a room for a visitor, I have been on the phone for 20 minutes and I have been transfered 3 times. I do not understand. I'm booking elsewhere. The competency does not make me compfortable booking my visitors there.

Loved our stay! Wish we could return but booked through priceline 1st time & got a great deal. Now have to pay big bucks to stay. Highly recommend staying here! Wish I could return but can not afford the rate now & pricelines rate is now 72% higher than previous.

Nice place had a great time here. Would have given it 5 stars but there was a caramel colored guy who works the desk at night who was very very rude to me and my wife. He tried to get us to use a Uber and got very upset when we refused and specifically requested a real taxi. Only bad experience I have ever had here. A bit expensive but other than the rude staffer on the night shift I referred to a great place.

Positive: the hotel staff is extremely friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay more pleasant. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The house-keeping staff pays attention to details. Convenient location. Negative: slow and unreliable internet access. My connection was purposefully turned-off as I tried to sync data I had updated on the plane (God forbid you try to back-up your work while staying here! ). The rooms' thermostats do not actually control the temperature and your room may be uncomfortably hot in a warm day and may get cool enough overnight to make you wish you had a comforter, which the hotel does not provide (they will give you a bed cover when you ask for a comforter). The bed is very, very soft, which will make some guests happy and cause back pain in others. Rooms do not have mini fridges or safes.
