This hotel is pretty gross needs some serious cleaning and repairs. The housekeeping staff need retrained because the cleanliness of our room was awful! HAIRS everywhere in the bathroom, thick layer of dust on multiple surfaces, fridge was not wiped out, bottom of toilet dirty, stains/dirt on one of our bed sheets, shower curtain was absolutely filthy! you could totally tell they did not do a thorough job at cleaning. We had a suite with a kitchenette so had 3 different doors that led to the hallway (very strange) bot a single one of them would lock correctly. Nasty stains on carpet in hallways… elevator floor and walls filthy… breakfast was nonexistent. And NO CRIBS OR PACK N PLAYS FOR OUR LITTLE ONE! out of all the hotels we have stayed in this was the first that did not have a crib! AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST!

It is impossible for them to have the coffee maker in the bathroom. Having a table to put them outside it is impossible to prepare a coffee inside the toilet… this is disgusting.

Good location, decent breakfast but kitchen unit had no utensils except for a dirty knife in a drawer, dried food on cabinet doors, drawers full of dirt and crumbs. Bathroom door squeaked loudly when opened or closed.

Room was ok, bed wasn't very comfortable and we missed breakfast because the woman who checked us in didn't let us know it only went from 6-9. Also the housekeeping staff walked right into our room around 9:30. Luckily we we're both dressed.

Decent rooms, a/c works great, breakfast waffles are better than usual l.

This hotel has some great attributes and some not so great. The entire public area smells like poop and urinal cakes, I almost walked out. However, I gave it a chance. The room was clean and fresh smelling. The beds were not as comfortable as beds at other Country Inn & Suites I have stayed at but they were not terrible. The breakfast was so-so, pretty standard for continental breakfast. Where this hotel makes up for its shortcomings is in the outdoor environment. There is a gazebo and grill set in a grassy area across the parking lot, as well as a sitting area outside the main entrance. It is very inviting and makes for a more enjoyable stay.

We've stayed here many times over the past 10 years. Last night was the best experience we had. Clean room and bathroom, nice hot tub, only thing that could've been better is if the pool was warmer.

Check in was amazingly easy and Kim was exceptionally accommodating considering we arrived so late. No parking in lot of surrounding. Kim gave us permission to park near the entrance. Bad part… cleaning service walked in at 930 while showering… even with dnd sign and double lock. Very surprising!

Bed Bugs! March 24, 2018 Stayed one night in room 127. Woke up in the middle of the night with bites all over and super itchy. The front desk was very pleasant and gave us a second room to sleep in. No bites in the second room! Manager tried to charge us for the stay. I assume they will not, but I will update this post if they do.

Location is great not too far from the interstate. Staff is extremely nice and welcoming and the rooms are modern and inviting.

Very friendly service and was very willing to make arrangement when they found out one of our rooms wasn't available due to construction.

Continental breakfast was better than expected. Overall stay was very good as well. No complaints.

This particular Comfort inn is not quite as good as the one in Cedar Rapids. It, I think is probably just a older building. There was no free dinner with a free keg, but they did still have breakfast. It seemed clean enough but I dare not take a black light to it. Overall it was a decent stay.

Very clean and neat and very close to the freeway. I would have given it a five because Shawn was amazing! He works in the morning and had excellent customer service. I would have given it a one however for check in. The man at the front desk took 20 minutes to check us in at 4 in the morning. He couldn't seem to get anything right.

Good, clean hotel. A bit out of town if you're visiting the college, but rooms are nice and the staff is really nice. They have a breakfast too!

I went to Comfort Inn & Suites in Iowa for a family reunion. There has a nice pool and a former center on the first level. The breakfast was great. The rooms were nice and they had new carpeting.

Clean rooms, great staff, nice pool… not a crappy hotel stay here if you like to feel at home.

Comfort Inn is basically the standard hotel experience you can get in Grinnell. It does have the best pool of them all, though.

Room is hugh and well appointed. Breakfast was good. Rural location but near freeway.

Very clean, odor-free rooms. Nice amenities including a very nice indoor pool and spa. Hot breakfast including sausage, eggs and waffles. Not far from town.

When checking out I discovered that I had a charge for a Safe on my bill. At no time was I informed that I would getting this charge or that there was even a Safe in the room. This is a very under handed business practice. One star is to high of a rating for this review.

AVOID! My wife and I stayed at this location two nights ago and found a charge on my credit card. When we called to inquire, we were hung up on by the general manager, after calling three times. I frequent this chain but will never return after this experience. Stay somewhere else, we wish we had.

Location of hotel was easy to find. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean and in great shape. If I have to get another hotel in the again I will definitely be staying here.

We spent the night here everything was clean they were very friendly and they are also military friendly. The rooms were clean my dogs had plenty of space for them to you have a potty break. And their breakfast was very good too.

Great customer service. The hotel rooms are very well updated and comfortable. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your comfortable. The free buffet breakfast is very good; and it includes coffee. We love this hotel and will come back!
