Nice room and staff, I’ll stay again if ever in the area.

Surprisingly nice place. There is both a hotel portion and a motel — I stayed in the motel part and enjoyed the large rooms that appear to have been recently renovated. The room had a mini-fridge and cable. Friendly staff and ample parking. McDonald's across the street. Pet friendly.

Very misrepresented from what is displayed on the website. Our rooms were in a building next to what is pictured and the stench of smoke in a non-smoking room was more than anyone should have to bear. We will not be back.

Good service from front desk. We got one of the older rooms. It was well renovated though. Cannot understand the near violent negative intensity of some reviews complaints. A fine local hotel experience. We slept well. Had room for our truck and pull behind. Would stay again. $75 room. I believe there are also newer rooms for a rate bump if desired.

Stayed here several times. Every visit was excellent. The staff is really concerned about making everything just right. Very friendly and helpful. Oh, don't miss out on the fresh cookies.

Nicer than most at this price, and the staff is super helpful and friendly! And as a cherry on top you get a full hot breakfast buffet, included with your stay, can't beat it! If your in Pittsfield Illinois, this is a fine choice.

This is the best kept secret in Pittsfield Illinois. This was a wonderful quaint cute comfortable quiet just wonderful Motel. They have coffee 24/7 when I needed a slice of bread cuz I was eating late at night when I they would get it for me it was just very very nice. Every morning they had eggs and potatoes and they just gave us a nice little breakfast and they called it a continental breakfast. I enjoyed my stay here the bed was extremely comfortable the room was comfortable everything was spotless and clean. This is literally one of my favorite nice little places to stay anywhere in the country. The staff was so friendly. Every time I go to this area I will only stay here.

I was over charged for my last stay by 40.00 per night from what I was quoted when I booked. With no attempt to remedy the situation. I will never be back.

Cookies! They always have fresh coffee and cookies available could be 1am and their is coffee! Very clean very neat great prices definitely will be staying again. This place makes u feel like u never left home they also have a free fresh hot breakfast every morning!

Stayed in the hotel section of this hybrid hotel-motel, which is newer than the motel section but slightly higher per night. The room was very clean and well maintained, the staff were extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. I will definitely consider this establishment for future visits to the Pittsfield area.

Expensive to comparative hotels. Rooms were clean, breakfast was pretty good! Staff wore shorts to work. We were there two days and the room was not re-stocked. No pool. Free Wi-Fi.

Needed a hotel for one night and ended up at the Green Acres Hotel. Very nice staff, great room, and breakfast was yummy. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay again!

Great hotel! Yummy breakfast, new building and rooms, and you can camp with full hook ups on site also.

We came for an overnight stay. The night manager was so friendly and helpful. She made coffee and fresh baked cookies. The breakfast was good. The room was clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

We checked into this hotel for one overnight stay on July 4th weekend, 2015. We stayed in the old building, which was nice. I was worried about the condition of the old building, because of some of the negative reviews (which are old, before the updating) but it ended up to be for nothing. My husband liked the fact that they had a smoking room, as most hotels are non-smoking now. There was a flat screen TV on the wall, which had a nice picture. There was a working microwave and a refrigerator in the room, which is always a plus. The beds were comfortable, and we slept great on them. They do offer a continental breakfast for their guests. The staff was very nice. Anyone who might be interested in checking in this hotel, don't pay attention to any reviews that are older than a few years old because they aren't painting an accurate picture of the place, so please don't hesitate and make a reservation!

I signed up on Google+ just so I could write a review for this nice little hotel. I travel frequently, both on business and sightseeing road trips. There's two parts to Green Acres Motel, a motel and a hotel. The motel is a single-level park-in-front-of-your-room type. Staff told me it was just renovated and is for people who have pets or smoke, and is slightly less expensive than the hotel portion. I didn't stay there. I stayed in the hotel, which is only a few years old (they demolished part of the old motel for the new hotel). It's great. Clean, modern, quick hot water, fast wireless internet, a fridge, bed was great, nice lobby and breakfast area. Dunno what detergent they use on their towels, but it was bury-your-face-in-it good smelling. There's a McDonald's across the street, and a hospital too. Staff were friendly. My wife is particular about where we stay when we travel, and even though she wasn't with me on this trip, she'd be completely happy staying here.

I spent a week traveling across rural Illinois. Most nights, I purposely drove farther out of my way to find a larger city and with a big-name hotel. By the time I got to the Pittsfield area, I was sick of driving farther, and I decided to "chance it" on a local hotel. Thank goodness I did, because the Green Acres Motel was the nicest hotel I stayed at all week, and it was very reasonably priced. I stayed in the new building, which looked and felt brand new. It was comfortable, very clean, and tastefully decorated (no green carpet or questionable 90's beadspreads! ) There were less expensive rooms in the other building next door, and I can only assume that they were also well-kept and well-cared for. Some of my favorite parts: 1) There was an open wall outlet located next to the bed. It's nice to be able to plug in my phone and laptop near the bed without having to dig behind the night stand and unplug the alarm clock or lamp. 2) The building I stayed in was exclusively non-smoking. The building next door had smoking rooms available. This seems like the best of both worlds — — non-smokers get a smoke-free building, but the smokers still have a home too. 3) Free, easy-to-access high-speed Wi-Fi. Most hotels seem to have gotten better about this lately, but having stayed at too many hotels with weak Wi-Fi signals, complicated log-ins, and slow connections, I try not to take good internet for granted. Thanks for the great hospitality.

A pleasant surprise. The rooms are small. The overall look is "tired. " The toilet paper is on the back of the bathroom door and the refrigerator and microwave were in the closet. The walls are thin. The ice machine is a tall freezer outside the office with ice in plastic bags. Having said that — and this is why I am taking the time to write this — I slept as well here as I have in any hotel room. (I travel a lot and usually stay in Hilton, Marriott or Holiday Inn. ) It is VERY clean and the staff is very friendly (Not sure how the desk clerk knew my nickname was "Hon"). The TV was good and the internet was pretty fast. I stayed two nights and would stay there again. They are building a new addition — I hope they don't lose the comfort.

The stay was — okay — overall, though I did not feel it was worth it. Stayed for a few days in September of 2009. The service was acceptable, though the rooms were not nearly as well kept as they could have been.

My fiance and I knew we would be passing through and needed a place to stay. So I called and reserved the room (probably the only room reserved at the time) We checked in around 8 and the room was freezing cold. We turned on the heat and left to get dinner. When we came back around 10:30 the room was not much better but she was pregnant and I was tired. We laid down and there was only one pillow. We called room service about 10 times with no answer, so I used my cell and called the outside line. The owner was very rude. So I added up the pros an cons and here they are; stay and not sleep due to horrible bed and one pillow plus cold still, take shower in morning in fowl looking shower, spend $50 to do all this! we decided to leave around 11. I again called and let that owner know that we were leaving unless we got another pillow and again he was rude. I asked him not to bill my credit card. January came along and he did bill me. I called and he tried to blame me for stealing the pillow and both pillow cases! HORRIBLE STAY and SERVICE. Save your money and sleep in your car, you'll be better off than staying at this place.

For Sale by Owner sign on front lawn. Very dated older hotel. Needs maintainace. Friendly. You are limited for housing in this town. Tub and sink did not drain. No alarm clock or shampoo. Lodging in this town is limited so they have a captive guest or another 50 mile drive on the interstate.
