The Location was rather difficult to find. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Some of the staff were wonderful & some shouldn't be working with people.

I have stayed at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham before and had a wonderful experience. This location gave me nothing but trouble. I arrived for my reservation on time and was told (with attitude) that I would have to wait another 30 minutes. Once they started processing my reservation, I thought it was going to work out. However, once I received my keys, I realized neither of them worked. No big deal. I went up to the desk to tell them and was ignored by two different people behind the desk. They saw me and walked away. A manager was walking by so I said out loud that I was waiting on someone to help me. She looked at me and then finished a conversation with another employee. At that point I decided I wanted to cancel everything. I said as much and she immediately got defensive. I explained why I was unhappy (the wait for my reservation, the attitude, the employees blatantly ignoring me at the desk) and she condescendingly told me that "sometimes the keys need to be reset. " I tried telling her the keys were not my issue and she proceeded to talk over me to tell me about the keys again. I literally had to tell her that her demeanor was very condescending and that I was very unhappy. She simply said "I apologize" as she started to walk away from the desk. I have had great experiences with this chain. This location, however, was very unprofessional. I have never had a more inconvenient experience trying to stay at a hotel. And I will never come back here.

Very nice hotel. The suite was roomy and has several amenities including a kitchen and large bathroom. Since we sometimes want to travel with a pet, this hotel chain works because pets are allowed. Complimentary breakfast, workout facility, laundry room and more. We were very pleased with the room. It is close to Executive Airport, but we hardly noticed any aircraft noise.

Serene, neat and beautiful environment. Friendly and accomodating staff… customer service good. Spacious rooms, fast Internet connection… what more! Its a home away from home… Just ensure you have a car for ease of movement…

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff was very courteous. Breakfast bar had great choices. Faculty was well maintained. Did not like walking through the laundry and kitchen area on the way to our room. Thay should keep doors shut at all times. Loved the Wheeling and Highland Park area. I hope I can go back to explore this beautiful community again.

Room was very nasty, our room had bed bugs. I am very u unsatisfied. Staff was also very rude. Staff did not charge my husbands card upon our check in. We had to bring it to their attention. After bringing it to to their attention, they then charged my husband’s card twice instead of doing it all on one bill. I wouldn’t suggest this hotel to anyone.

Very good for the price. No issues, but everything in the room is a little older and worn. Pillows were a bit flat. Overall everything was clean and the staff was friendly. Would stay again.

Awful experience. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Rude staff, housekeeping virtually non-existent (found hairs on my comforter, semen stains on the dust cover, bathrub drain didn't quite drain, ac unit emitted a foul smell), gross breakfast featuring a couple almost inedible hot items, aged fruit, and some boxes of cereal, the hallways reeked. Management totally unprofessional and vindictive; I was told a wrong check out date by the front desk person multiple times. Suddenly one day, they threatened to keep the personal items in my room and call the police about my "outstanding balance" even though I was told several times my check out date as the eighth of June, but was suddenly threatened with this on fourth. Unbelievable. There are lots of better hotels in the area at a similar price. I recommend you look elsewhere.

Nice and welcoming.
Well-equipped rooms (fridge, microwave, dishwasher, hairdryer, iron) and very clean.
Cleaning and change of towels from Monday to Friday.
For breakfast c is buffet at will with sweet and savoury.
Only black Spot the hotel is a bit in the middle of nowhere. But at least he's quiet.

Nice room and excellent if you need an extended stay hotel since it has the full kitchen area include electric stove are, utensils, and dishwasher! However, front desk service was far from acceptable customer service, in fact they were rude, and another guest in the hotel. Someone that I spent time with… had an employee try to enter her room in the middle of the night… not ok, at all!

Fluffy soft towels and comfortable white Wyndham sheets, although apparently queen beds are the only option. Nice clean and bright bathroom with small kitchenette, full size refrigerator, microwave stovetop and dishwasher with dishes and utensils. Nice breakfast area and side area with couch and TV. Warm breakfast with waffles, eggs bacon, sausage, yogurt, bagels and toast. Very pleasing stay and a good value. I would recommend to anyone and would stay here again.

Clean, safe, contemporary, but I feel the appliances are a bit Old and some of the power sockets did not work. Breakfast was nice with waffles. Juice. Sausage toast eggs and cereal yogurt and was quite plenty. Staff at the reception are a little rude at night. All in all an ok place to stay.

Nice room with good amenities. Very good service overall. Breakfast is forgettable but that is to be expected.

Nice staff. Good basic breakfast and nice room with kitchen and refrigerator. A small fitness center where you have a weight machine and drinking water as well. Shuttle service is really nice. Lot many Indian guests staying here. The shuttle takes you to Indian local super market twice a week and Fresh Farm once a week. You can pick your needed grocery. Though A bit away from any good restaurants/ eat outs. If you have to go to downtown take an Uber/Lyft Mountain Prospect railway station and from there take a train, which is half an hour run.

Good for short term stay. Breakfast was not good. Clean rooms.

Place is ok. Breakfast menu is same throughout the month. Corridor becomes a bit smelly sometimes. Only one elevator is there and that is also quite slow. Room service quality is good but can be better in many aspects.

Black mold in ceiling bathroom with apparent water damage, counter coming off in bathroom-complained about this room 2 months ago, cops came to our door about a neighboring couple last night then we listened to them fight all night long, childs birthday scavenger hunt lasting after 10pm with kids running up and down 2nd floor. No housekeeping. ALL WEEK long-not even once. No clean towels-no clean cups-no shampoo-no soap. We went to Walmart and bought them. I made several c…omplaints. Even told us they had no more clean towels. We even upgraded our Hotel room nothing changed … spring break leisure week and we should have stayed home. Nothing like taking out your own garbage and hunting down a housekeeper for towels.
Our Do not disturb sign was NOT up. Going to the front desk, I was told ”I don’t have time for this” while being caught on her personal cell phone eating food off the buffet. I asked for the manager “jay” several times through the day, was told he had his own schedule, he comes in when he wants. He won’t meet with you, he will call you.
She justified these things with excuses like “your children got complaints”. My children were in bath and bed starting at 7. I mentioned that big party, she changed the subject… to pool towels. We had 8. We returned them as well, remember no housekeeper, ever. She blamed us for them being without pool towels. We were registered for 4… at any time we seen housekeeper to try and get towels. We were always only given 3.

What a great motel! The room was very clean and it had pots and pans. Plenty of sparkling silverware and dishes and glasses. The bathroom was new along with a bed that had pretty linen. Our furnace died and we were in an emergency situation. I have two parrots that need lots of heat and a vaporizer and one needs nebulizer treatment every night. We needed a kitchen and motel that would allow a cockatoo that is prone to yell for no reason and a polite parrot. They were great with giving us a room on first floor in pet section. It was worth the pet fee. The birds had a good time and so did we. I have only good things to say and our new furnace is being installed now. It is 8 degrees out and we just had 13" of snow over the weekend. Thank You Hawthorn Suites.

The hotel is very clean, rooms seem updated and the breakfast is great! The staff was friendly and the experience was amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the price!

Budget rooms with kitchenettes. Aged rooms kept up fairly well. Beds are comfortable but have many stray hairs on the comforter, pretty disgusting. Clean bathroom with soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. No plastic covered cups, so plan on washing some dishes before you use them. LED television, but pretty small so hard to watch from bed. Breakfast has a couple of hot items that are of questionable quality, breads boxed cereal and aged fruit. Hallways are full of the scents of varied ethnicity's cooking. Garbage in bags can get piled up by the garage cans outside the elevators. Overall, ok for the 70 bucks and if I was paying for it myself, I may do it again, but if company paid, I would stay elsewhere.

I and my husband stayed here for 2weeks, we really enjoyed our stay. It's quite and clean. Kitchen had few utensils, breakfast is good and moreover 3days a week they have complimentary evening snacks and refreshments which most of the other motels don't have.

Very spacious & clean room including a kitchenette. They are also pet friendly. Staff very accomodating. Even served delicious chili for dinner. We loved staying there.

Hotel completely misrepresented to me. Said king, queen or 2 doubles available. NOT true. Single queen only. Also NO convenience store on site as advertised. Can NOT recommend for two occupants.

Because of the service by housekeeping and Assistant Manager Sofie Fire to this place sucks. Arrangements were check out at 12pm. We received and retention until 2pm. Housekeeping knocked at my door at 1 pm and said its time to check out, I need to go to the front desk. I had my 2 grandsons 2 months and 16 months. Ms. Sofie told me I can stay for free until 2pm. But if I stay until 3 I will be charged half price. If I'm being charged half price them I should have been able to stay for a half day. Oh no Sofie told me I could only stay until 3pm. So you're charging me half price for 1 your. I would have excepted 2 hours. So here I am in the lobby with 2 babies waiting for my ride to come at 4pm. I would rather sit on someone's car than to sit in this lobby. Unbelievable!

I have spent three nights at this hotel and it was a nice experience. I liked their bathrooms and the professionalism of the staff.

Nice rooms enough space great location just 25 min away from Chicago city.

Nice ambience, cheap rates and economy.

Stayed for 55 days in 2017 and 70 days in 2016 and one of the best for the price. House keeping is perfect and staffs are really helpful. They have a suitable cooking facility for long stays for every room. Only problem is no shops nearby to purchase any food or grocery. Need to travel at least 2 — 3 miles. It was a pleasant stay.

Perfect home stay if you are on a short term travel to any of the office locations to willow road or lake cook road…

Rooms are nice. Staff needs to do a better job cleaning. My visit there were kids running around screaming all night in the hallways. Cable or satellite isn't the greatest.

Manager is EXTREMELY Rude and probably even racist. My sister was translating for my dad since he doesn't speak English very well and she was even being rude to my sister. My sister is 13 and she managed to make her cry. When speaking to Lisa (the manager) she talked down to them. You could tell she felt above them. She taunted them by giving them her card as if she wasn't worried about getting in trouble. Definitely the worst experience ever.

Nice rooms, I got a studio on a deal. Staff is very nice. Location is also nice.

The hotel was great. Check in was easy. The breakfast is fine. Our room was very spacious.

Very kind people who work there. I liked the breakfast and they allowed our doggies to stay with us.

No proper room service they aren't concerned about cleaning a room. No proper staff. Breakfast is not great. I don't suggest this to anyone.

Hotel was nice, nothing special about the room. We arrived on the evening of the first snow of the season at 9 pm, the snow stopped that afternoon at 3pm. It snowed almost 6 inches in the time between the end of the snow and our arrival, the hotel plowed the snow but didn't do anything to treat the ice. No salt what so ever. The parking lot was covered with 2 inches of ice. The sidewalks were shoveled and salted but walking from the icy parking lot was very dicey. The hotel is located less than a mile from an airport, we never heard any airport noise, that may have been at least partly because of the snow. It was an alright experience, I probably wouldn't stay there again.

I had a nice stay. The room was clean & comfortable and the breakfast was well-supplied. Subtracting 1 star because the phone and refrigerator were not working.

Great place. Great staff. Good Breakfast. Big fridge in the room. Had hot plate and utensils. The day we came bathroom wasnt well cleaned. Notified housekeeping and they took care of it.

Stayed here for weeks. Got a thorough understanding of their operations. Paper thin walls. Service that is promised is not delivered. They do not clean your room or do housekeeping service as advertised and promised. I asked for a wake up call twice and never received one. Stay here if you're cheap, if you're not you will not enjoy it here.

Simply Excellent.! Pros: 1. Very Clean 2. Value for the Money 3. Nice Breakfast 4. Fort desk Staff and Manager Sofi are always ready to help as and when required. Cons: 1. Difficult to get early check-in and late Check-out.

Worst staff, they have no respect for guests. Bunch of illiterates sitting at front desk. They think they are doing some obligation on you by allowing you to stay in the hotel. This hotel is always full of guests, thanks to the IT companies near by. Hotel has paper thin walls and in the night you can hear a lot of noise. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. If you want to get urself insulted, feel free to spend a night here.

We wanted to check in early by 2 hours. We called 2-3 days in advance, reception said there is no early check in, and asked to book an extra day to secure room for early check in. And same thing with check out. Not flexible and customer friendly. We requested for a shuttle service in afternoon for a mile, they asked to book a cab instead. Breakfast was ordinary, rooms were okay. No restaurants near by.

Lousiest hotel I've stayed at since my university youth hostel days. I was not able to find a positive. Should have followed my hunch and ran out the first day. The stay singlehandedly ruined my trip. Spend the extra money and find a decent place, but whatever you do, don't say here. Too bad there there is no zero star option, because that's what it is.

Nice and clean, good breakfast, several amenities including a fully furnished kitchen. The bed was nothing special, but I have seen worse. The only problem was the noises in other rooms. The walls must be paper thin, I had to get a different room twice. But the front desk had no problem getting right on it and helping me with that. Overall. I would stay again, I got it for less than a hundred dollars so it was worth it.
