The campus atmosphere was great. The RV we rented was way over priced for the RVs cleanliness. Basically I’m saying if you got your own rig 👍🏻. If you’re renting👎🏻.

Had high exceptions with still being realistic, it’s a cabin we knew we weren’t checking into a 5 star hotel. But I still at least expected it to be clean. We were super disappointed with our trip. Cabin was filthy, we even saw cockroaches in our room the day we left. There were broken off fake fingernails in the loft bed, trash all over the ground in all the corners, toilet was visibly very dirty, the floors were soooo grimy and filthy I seriously felt cleaner walking around outside bare foot (and we had a toddler with us who wants to be all over the floor so that made the whole stay even more difficult). The first night we got a golf cart at about 6pm, only got to ride around on it for about 30 minutes before it got dark and we realized we had no head lights. Got yelled at by a staff member for driving past with no headlights but he didn’t stop to let us explain. We told the teenager working about the issue when we dropped it off the next morning, but he was just a kid and didn’t know what to say so he barely apologized. The golf cart also just stopped working more than once in the short time we drove it (would just shut up) even though it had a full charge. Growing up we went to holiday world every summer and I always wanted so badly to stay in these cabins when we went on our trip, so I was very excited as an adult to take my children, I don’t think we would try it again or recommend it to anyone else visiting.

We enjoyed saying at the campground for 6 nights. We stayed by the camp store. It was a lot of fun. We rented a golf cart for all nights. That is really the best way to get around. The pool was nice but 2 days were considered off season so it was only open from 3:30-6. Just something to be mindful of if you are going in August when it is hot. Of course there is a shuttle to holiday world which is also awesome.

Absolutely no idea of what customer service is. Charge a premium for their cabins and offer no consistency with the amenities. Charge extra for golf carts that may or may not work. And someone else’s key can start your cart so joy riding kids can take it in the middle of the night and if something happens “technically” you are responsible. They don’t adhere to the COVID guidelines implemented by the state. Basically it’s give me your money and you get what you get… now get out!

First time visiting and had a great stay. The campground is clean an well maintained. The staff managed the limitations of the pool capacity very well. My only criticism is the use of golf carts. It seems that there’s no regulation or monitoring of who’s driving rented golf carts. I almost drove over a golf cart being driven by what appeared to be a 12 year old. The kid didn’t stop at a stop sign and literally almost drove under the wheels of my truck. Fortunately, I was going very slow. The kids driving around at night are an accident waiting to happen.

I would recommend camping and make reservations early so you can pick what site you want and we call it (glamping) hahaha and love the whole atmosphere about the campground. Wish they had a golf cart for at least 90percent of the camp sites because that’s a big deal and have missed out on camping because they didn’t have golf carts available. I would say the Holiday cabins are our favorite! Love that you have activities for children during the day. Overall very friendly staff. We vacation here every year at least twice thanks for making our family memories memorable!

Yes but with caution… booked reservations for 8 campers over 10 months out in one reservation. When confirming our trip we found out we were not together. Office staff could only say the computer assigns sites. No golf carts available and not allowed to leave our name. When one of our campers set up they were told by their neighbor that they got a golf cart two weeks ago when they booked their site. Communication lacking. Park is nice and a lot of activities. But would have been more enjoyable if we were able to be closer as a group.

Big campground with LOTS to do! Loved all the amenities that were offered. Campground was clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful everywhere we went. Only negative thing we have to say is that the campsite grills provided are in need of replacement (they were super rusted), and since we were not offered the option to rent a golfcart when we made our reservation 6 months ago, they were all sold out of them by the time we got there. Other than that, we had a great time and will be back!

I actually very much enjoyed camping here. They provided a weekend RV at a highly discounted rate. We were interested in renting a golf cart for the weekend but that did not work because they were unavailable to rent because of multiple reservations, which is very disappointing. However, my girlfriend and I were able to walk to an empty RV concrete pad and lay down to look up and watch a meteor shower, where we both saw multiple shooting stars. It was beautiful and would recommend to any family trying to visit, the staff was nice as well. The reason I give three stars is because we were unable to rent a golf cart for the weekend. They also provide a wonderful shuttle service to and from the Holiday World Park, which was fantastic.

We had a "stolen" golf cart issue taken care of in less than 5 min and lost shoes returned to our door! There are plenty of things to do to keep the family entertained. We can't wait to go back!

What a great family vacation spot! We rented a king sized RV for 2 nights. We stayed on Frosty Lane. The RV was nice, could’ve been cleaned better. Found a half eaten cookie and a half bottle of sweet tea under one of the beds. Couch/bed was broken down and needed replaced. Beds were a bit hard. It served its purpose but needed updating for price paid. Cabins looked amazing and we will be renting one of these next time! Campground was nothing short of spectacular. All the family and kid oriented activities is the reason. From bingo to making slime to tie dying shirts… We had a blast. Not to mention the pool and water slides. The place is huge so rent a golf cart. It is pricey but you’ll need it. It cost me more per day to rent the 6 person golf cart than it did to rent a premium car for the trip. All in all, this campground is worth every penny no matter how shiny it is! Once you’ve been here you’ll understand why it’s ranked in the top 10 Family oriented campgrounds in the country. Free shuttle rides to and from Holiday World/Splashin’ Safari and chances are… You will see Deer while in the campground as well as the park as we did!

I like to read reviews before booking at a campground to get a good idea of what to expect. Hopefully our review will help others with making the decision to stay at this particular campground. Our family absolutely loved Lake Rudolph. Probably one, if not the best we’ve stayed at. We booked site 41d and had little trouble backing into it with our 32ft motorhome. We did experience some difficulties leveling (only complaint). We got local channels on TV as well as a satellite signal and strong cell signals. The park is enormous and we opted to rent a golf cart to get around leaving our bikes at home which worked out great for us. Our site was in close proximity to the pool and store. The store was well stocked and reasonably priced. The staff were all extremely nice and helpful. The pool was clean and big with attentive life guards who never took their eyes off the kids. There were a ton of fun activities for kids, mini golf, cool arcade, paddle boats, fishing, and a small but clean beach and lake area. The grounds are well kept with rolling hills and large mature trees. The campground felt somewhat kitschy but in the best way possible. We spent an afternoon at the neighboring water park and had a great time. There’s also a nice strip mall within walking distance with a boutique, Christmas ornament store, the most amazing toy store, a pizza joint, and grocery store. All in all we really enjoyed Lake Rudolph and will definitely be going back.

We just got done staying at Lake Rudolph campground! We stayed in our camper and the spots for campers were kind of small but good enough! They had many activities for young kids and adults! It was a clean area and very kid friendly! The bathrooms could have used some work they were kind of dirty. The showers in the bathroom were FREEZING to the point my teeth were chattering while I was showering! I could barely take a shower with how cold they were so I would recommend not coming here looking for a shower if you do not have one! The staff at the front desk/ golf cart rental area was rude and did not seem like they knew what they were doing! A lot of the staff was young and standing around not doing anything. We went to the golf cart rental there were 3 other people in line and the staff was rude with us because they were "swamped" in their mind. They said they'd bring our golf cart to us in 15-20 minutes and we waited 45 minutes and they still were not bringing it. The staff was not nice in the front at all! The only nice staff members were in the camp store! The best things about the campground was the other people camping and all of the fun free activities! It was very clean other than the bathroom and the staff was not the friendliest but other than that everything else was great! I would recommend this if you want other fun people to be around and if you are going to holiday world since it is right next to it!

Lake Rudolph is very convenient with the close proximity to Holiday World! The shuttle is great as well. As other reviews have stated, the campground and campsites need some upkeep. Outside of the camp store was filthy. It took over an hour to wait on a pizza we ordered, only to be told they were out of ingredients so we got a refund. There were other customers there as well who waited that long! I would recommend to not order the pizza! The campsites need upkeep as far as branches, gravel, water holes, etc. You pay enough for your site you’d think this would be done. My major complaint is the golf carts. We were camped close to the camp store and pool, and people on golf carts absolutely fly. Even the staff! I was worried for my kids to ride bikes on the road because people absolutely fly on the golf carts and nothing is enforced! Beware with small children!

And what we read on line was if you get the wrist band for the water slide after 3pm you could use it also the next day. When we got ours the girl said we don't do that. We love the camp site, but the RV could of been cleaned better. Cobwebs in every corner, and the mattress are old and need to be updated! All in all, the park offered golf carts (which are a must b/c its SO big)! The parks bathrooms were clean, the food was good, ice cream was great and the people were super friendly! Loved that the park supplied dishes, silverware, toilet paper, trash bags, pots and pans, plus, a shuttle bus came every 30 mins, we never had to wait for long periods! The park has plenty of free stuff fir kids and adults. The Safari water park and the amusement park was worth the $$$! We will be back next year for a cabin! The folks at 311 Donner Lane.

Wonderful family friendly place! The bathrooms really seal the deal. They are not only air conditioned… they have a sink, toilet and shower in each private stall. Making showers and bathroom visits just like home. The tent site we were on (Rudolf Blvd) was great the two next to us were SUPER small. The ones by the pool are also super small. I would call and make sure you are getting a good site. More geared towards RV and cabin camping.

The quiet hours are not enforced. Multiple calls were made to the campsite Friday night at 11 and 2:30 am. No one did anything. As I sit here Saturday night, it starts again. The pit bulls are barking and no one is answering the phone. This is our last trip. We stay at State Parks, Corps of Enginners, and U. S. Forest Sevive parks for this exact reason. They have zero tolerance for noise after hours. If you don’t need sleep, then by all means head on out, however if you don’t function on zero sleep, this is not the campground for you.

Highly recommend this campground for people with kids. It was a top notch campground with tons of things for the kids to do. The grounds were clean, the staff friendly and helpful, they even pick up your trash in front of your camper every morning. There was a free shuttle to Holiday World picking up every 20 minutes. It was a great experience all round.

Cheap water park but it really is built for kids not adults, cheap boat rental and kind of pricy golf cart rental. Dollar General very near for last minute pick up items.

Despite advertising Wi-Fi it is too spotty and unreliable to use even in the common areas. Also note cell service (at least ATT network) is poor so expect to be cut off during your visit.

We had a great time and I am giving this a 4 out of 5 stars. My only two complaints would be, 1 that you have to pay 4.95 per day per person for the water slides. I think it should maybe be a set rate for the entire time you are staying… based on how long you stay. Also it should be posted that these slides are for children and not really for adults. My husband paid and went down twice and fell off the tubes both times. He also hit his head on the bottom of the pool that you come out of the slide in as it is only 3ft deep. He said that one of the lifeguards said these slides where design more for children, which is completely fine and he is a big kid at heart lol, but it should maybe not be 4.95 for adults that probably aren’t going to go down more than a couple times! 2, the way they take orders and then handle the pickup of the orders (for food, ice cream, etc…) needs drastically improved. I ordered chocolate ice cream and once it’s made they just open the window and yell chocolate cone! Someone had ordered one as well and step up before I did even though he had ordered after. I would suggest at least using order numbers etc… other than those two complaints we had a great time and enjoyed holiday world as well! Plan on renting a golf cart!

I stayed here with 2 of my daughters, a 4 year old and 2 year old. The cabin that was chosen for me did not have safe parking and only room for one vehicle. All the cabins around us had room for 2 or 3 cars and the parking was flat unlike mine that was on a steep slope. Also there were ants in my cabin and someone's flips flops under the couch. They have a lot of rules to abide by, odd times for things, such as you can't rent a golf cart till 1. I won't stay here again unless accommodations are different.

First time here this weekend and it was amazing. We booked last minute and had an amazing site on the lake. The staff so super friendly and upbeat, the grounds were impeccably clean, and we had a great time! I would recommend if you have never been here and decide to go reserve a golf cart when you reserve your site. You will definitely need one. We weren’t aware and none were available but we still had a great time. We will definitely be going back! Also we explored the town and learned some of the history, super fun and highly recommend doing that if you have time.

We have stayed here for almost a week and they are not offering discounts and if we would like to stay another night they are making us move when all the cabins are the same. I would definitely not recommend staying here.

My family has been camping at Lake Rudolph during Halloweekends for the past decade or more and we absolutely love it! We have camped in all sizes of the RVs and all of the cabins, but always find our way back to the RVs since we are outside by the fire most of the time anyway. This year we are going for Memorial Day weekend and we cannot wait! We always rent golf carts and participate in all of the fun events put on by the park. If you have never been, I definitely recommend planning a fun affordable family getaway at Lake Rudolph!

I've waited awhile to post a review. We went for the Halloween fun with 4 other families. We reserved almost a year in advance but still couldn't reserve a golf cart, (none available) which we made due. The check in was quick and easy. They were even nice enough to escort us to our cabin. The cabin looked nice but small. We didn't even unpack we gathered around the fire that our friends were already around and spent some time together. We decided to go to the cabin and the first thing we noticed was that my 3, 6, 10 year old couldn't open the glass front storm door after investigating it seemed the wood step was warped and was catching on the lower part of the door. No deal breaker just gotta have a parent help… not a bad thing. We'll the first thing we noticed was that the blinds in the bathroom were not in good shape, broken and you could see right in. Then as my wife tried using the restroom the seat was broken. So I started looking at things before my kiddos found them Here's my findings in the first few minutes. The sink had toothpaste or what looked like it all over the front. There was something on the walls and floor as well, The shower still had soap, shampoo and conditioner left. Food was left in kitchen sink, thermostat not level, and in a bad spot the vent was right under the thermostat so it kicked on and off most of our first night till I shut the vent.

It was so much fun! There is something to do for all ages. Although it is fun all of the time, going during a Halloween weekend is the best. Just make sure to book way in advance as they fill up quickly!

We have talked about camping here & visiting Holiday World for 3-4 years, so when we were looking to get closer to a good viewing area for the eclipse, and discovered the weekday discount for fall, we decided to check out the campground as part of our eclipse excursion. This place is HUGE, with lots of things to do and enjoy. Although almost vacant the whole time we were there I suspect this place is a madhouse on weekends and high season. Which is great for families with kids looking to cram in lots of fun on their vacation. Staff members we interacted with were all courteous, friendly, and helpful. The camp store is well stocked. Some of the sites looked a little rugged, in fact we upgraded on arrival to get a more spacious and more level site. Huge sections of older rental travel trailers, and a lot of newer rental cabins that appear to be quite nice. Designated sites for tent campers interspersed with sites for pop-ups, travel trailers, fifth wheels and motorhomes. From the smallest tent to the big rigs, this campground has space for everyone with lots of fun, both onsite, and at Holiday World right next door.

Lake Rudolph is a campground with an abundance of fun for all ages. There are non stop activities for kids and adults. Free Putt putt, fishing in the lake, transportation to Holiday World and Splashing Safari, movies under the pavilion, dance parties, karaoke, and swimming. They also have paid activities for a minimum fee. Santa's splashdown water slide park, bingo, kayak /paddle boat rentals, crafts and seasonal activities. This is truly a nonstop fun place! You can rent a cabin or RV if you don't have your own. They have laundry facilities, camp stores x 2, basketball courts, food service that includes snacks, pizza, pretzels, and ice cream. You can buzz around the campground in a golf cart rental to your hearts content. If you like peace and quiet this is probably not the place for you. Everyone will leave with a smile on their face. We love it!

For what you have to pay for the Holiday Cabin, you would expect the beds to be soft. All these cabins are is a glorified RV w/ a deck. If I wanted to stay in an RV, we would of brought our own. The website is very misleading. The master bedroom had no A/C vent. The shower barely fit my 6'2" fiance'. My mother — in-law watched housekeeping go into the cabin next door, & she only spent 5 minutes in there cleaning & only took a toilet brush in with her. She had no sweeper or broom on her cart. So, what do they clean? Our gas grill looked like someone tried to cook with charcoal on it & charcoal ashes were all over the deck & picnic table. Overall, it was nice to be close to the park & have a shuttle, but if you don't have a golf cart, it's hard to get to the drop off. There's no place to park a car for the shuttle drop off & my mother in law is handicapped, so her walking was out of the question. So, another $60 a day for a golf cart. We will probably stay in a hotel next time or bring our own RV & try again.

We stay in the cabins here every year for Halloween which lasts from Sept to the end of Oct I believe. Many people dress up, decorate their trailers, cabins and the golf carts are all decked out, you cannot bring your own golf cart. If you enjoy Halloween this is the time for you to go. They have a trick or treat night and many festivities for the kids. They have spots for campers and their own campers and cabins that you can rent. If you're interested in going during the Halloween weekends you'll need to book really early so don't delay!

The sites aren't always assigned by length. Some sites are very tight to get into and would be impossible with surrounding sites full. Vehicle parking is tight once you get your unit set. Roads are two-way, but most are narrow and with tight parking, some campers crowd the road with vehicles. Once you get set up, the surrounding atmosphere is great. Golf carts must be rented there. No outside personal conveyances allowed. Not all sites have a standing grill; some just have a grill attached to the fire ring.

Added features of paddle boats, free mini golf, activity center with busy agendas, small water park, pools, and two camp stores make this a place the family can really enjoy without even leaving the property. Of course with Holiday World shuttles from the campground to the huge theme parks next door, you will spend some time out of the camper!

We rented a rv for two nights in late May. The rv was worn and not well cleaned. There was a 4 inch section of flooring in the bathroom peeling up, creating a trip hazard and dirt laying on the top bunk in the bunk house. The next morning we noticed the rv crawling with ants. After letting the front desk know, we were moved to a cabin, after a very long wait. The cabin was new and clean, but the towel rack in the bathroom had been removed and placed on the counter. Rather then wait for someone to come again, my husband just fixed it. It had a full bathroom, but not enough hot water for two adults to shower in the morning. I decided to head home rather then wait for a hot shower. We paid $125 a night for the camper and feel ripped off. We really wanted to love this campground and are always looking for yearly traditions for our family but I don't think we will be back.

We have stayed here on three different occasions. The first time, we took our tent with small children. It was a nice camping spot, with indoor showers and toilets available nearby. The second time, we rented an RV for eight people. We spent most of our time outside and were pleased with our choice. Our most recent stay, was in a cabin for eight. The cabin was clean with a nice deck and picnic table out back. It was helpful that we took our own food, toiletries, bath towels, and toilet paper. We enjoyed mini-golf, a playground, basketball, and swimming at Rudolph Lake Campground. It was very convenient to park at our camp site and take one of the many daily shuttles to nearby Holiday World and Splashin' Safari.

Check in was done with ease with little waiting! Rental RV needed a new couch but other than that for something that gets a lot of use it was in great shape. The shuttle stop drivers and rangers were very friendly and helpful! The staff in the Camp Store acted like they didn't want to be there but were not rude. Loved the fact that I could park the car at the campsite and take the shuttle to anywhere in the camp! We are already planning our next trip to Lake Rudolph! I would and already have recommended this place to people!

Just stayed for two nights. I haven't been here for about 4 years and we loved it here in the past. We will not be coming back again! Camper was not cleaned before our check in, half the stuff listed as included in the rental was missing, camper had ants everywhere. They had no toilet paper in the unit so I called down to get some brought to us, waited an hour still no one came called back and about 40 mins later someone shows up. This place has went down hill severely. It's too crowded and to busy. It use to be a nice clean place but not anymore. Golf cart barley ran and was falling apart as well. I use to tell everyone what a great place it was but never again.

The roads are very narrow with many trees in the way of backing into or pulling out of sites. The sewer connection was at the back and was very difficult to reach (most RV sewer connections are at the middle of the RV). No hot water in the bath house. One the positive side, it was clean and convenient for visiting holiday world.

August 2015 — We rented a "Family Cabin" at Lake Rudolph for two nights. When we arrived at 3pm, the inside of the cabin was 83 degrees and the loft area where the kids were to sleep was about 95 degrees. We immediately called maintenance for them to fix the AC. While on the phone with maintenance, my husband noticed that the bathroom door was off the hinge and would not shut, therefore maintenance had to fix this as well upon our arrival. We decided not to unpack any of our food items because there was a sticky mousetrap with mouse feces surrounding it where dishes were kept so we did not want our food near that either. I cleaned up a drink spill on the floor and my paper towel was black, therefore the wood floor had not been mopped by housekeeping prior to our arrival. The loft where the kids were to sleep had graffiti written all over the beams, such as "666… " and other controversial phrases that I had to explain to my children. The cabin advertises that is sleeps 6-8, however where the 4th mattress is in the loft, there is a wood beam across it where not even a small child could fit there to sleep, therefore the cabin can not hold 8 people. The following morning I went to take a shower and the drain was clogged and I stood in half a foot of water and it began spilling out over the lip. I called maintenance for this as well. The bathroom had brown vertical drip lines all over the walls and was also not properly cleaned.

We spent three days in one of the Christmas Cabins with 5 adults and 3 kids. Space was somewhat tight (if the kids were teens it might have been too tight) but the cabin was clean and comfortable. Would recommend renting a golf cart to get around the large campgrounds and the free shuttle to Holiday World was a great option. The kids loved running around the large deck. The kitchen was small, but functional. The beds were somewhat less comfortable, but were good enough for "camping. " Overall, all the kids had a ton of fun there, and that's what we're really there for.

We visit the campground and park every year for 10 days over the 4th of july. It is very clean, staff is awesome, and the shuttles to and from the amusement park are amazing. They have 24hour maintenance crews should anything big or small occur. There is enough entertainment in the campground that you dont have to leave the park to have a good time.
