Review of Country Inn & Suites 3*

Save yourself the misery. This hotel is suppose to be nonsmoking. We had smoke in our room all night and the next day until we checked out. I left there with a splitting headache, sinus issues and coughing from breathing second hand smoke. Asked the front desk guy to either get me a different room or make it stop. He did neither, instead he asked me if I was smoking in the room. The hotel is run by foreigners and he didn't seem to understand I was having a serious issue due to the 2nd hand smoke. When I checked out I asked for a refund for the one night we had an issue with. He told me he would talk to the manager and have her call me. After I filled out a survey a few days later the manager finally called me. She proceeded to ask me how smoke got in my room. Duh! That's what I would like to know also. She kept saying she didn't understand why I wouldn't have had a problem the first night but did the second night. When I suggested someone in the room next to me or below was smoking she said no one was in the room next to me. I told her we saw them coming and going. So then she tells me she doesn't understand how this happened. She offers me 20% off the one night, saying it would be different if I had smelled it both nights LOL I told her it would be different if her worker had changed my room like I asked. The room was really nice with the exception of the smoke. The internet sucked (very slow), the breakfast was terrible (with the exception of the waffle maker), and it might have been a better experience if they had changed my room but for $90 you would expect a much better experience. Won't ever stay in this hotel again nor any other "Carlson" associated one.
