For the price, my experience was okay. We got there around 1 a. M. And the man who checked us in was polite, but not particularly friendly. However, when we got up to our room, it had evidently not been cleaned. The beds were unmade, there was toilet paper all over the bathroom floor, and the trash hadn't been emptied. However, when we went down to tell the employee, he switched us to a new room and made sure it was clean before giving us the key. The woman working the desk the next morning and when we checked out was SO friendly and sweet. The elevator had a weird smell, but we were never in it for more than a minute or two so no biggie. The room was okay, bed comfort was acceptable. I have stayed in nicer, but I have also stayed in worse. If you're looking for something cheap and close to Holiday World, this will do.

Nice hotel. The only thing I didn't like is that the bed was uncomfortable. I'm use to mine.

For the price, I think this hotel was worthy of 5 stars. I wanted a place that had a pool for my girls and this was the best priced hotel with an indoor pool. The staff was super friendly and the rooms and beds were clean. I was extremely happy with it, given the price. We'll definitely be back!

Rooms were over priced and entire motel had a foul odor. We stayed one night and our belongings smelt just like the motel. The fire alarm went off at 2:15am, woke us all out of a sound sleep, including our 2 year old. Alarms finally stopped after going off for atleast 2 minutes. The fire department arrived 10 minutes later and set off the alarms again for 10 seconds. We called the front desh and they said it was a false alarm. Would not recommend this motel unless it is an absolute last resort, like it was for us.

Went into our first room and there were roaches scurrying about. Moved to second room and pulled back the covers and there were hairs and stains on the sheets, obviously the sheets had not been changed from previous guests. Went to our third room and there was a horrible smell coming from the closet and the air conditioner would not cool. Fire alarm went off at 3:00 a. M. Went down to breakfast and there were two bagels and two mini muffins left for the guests and flies bothering you while you tried to eat. Came up to shower and there were stains on the wash clothes. Rates were extremely high and this was by far the nastiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Find someplace to stay, do not spend your money on this hotel. I would give negative stars if I could.

Clean nice rooms. It was huge. Great continental breakfast as well!

The room was musty and had ants, the service staff were dealt with were completely oblivious and mostly useless, the AC barely worked and was extremely loud, I found several holes in the walls, and there were cockroaches in the hallway. The only good things about this hotel is that it's cheap and has a good location, (Only 5ish minutes away from Holiday World) but that doesn't save it. There are other hotels, try those out.

This place needs a lot of work. We stayed 3 nights. We saw that the employees were very nice and helpful but this place seems to be falling apart. Our TV had to be worked on every day. The phone never worked. The shower controls fell off in your hand. The handle in the shower was not mounted and came out in your hand. The ice maker wouldn't work on the 2nd floor. The waffle maker stopped working. And waffles where the only thing for breakfast other than bagels and cereal.

TV Problems everytime you turn it off. Must rebute. Phone didnot work. shower broken. Employees always very nice. Breakfast very limited. (waffles & ceral)

I was charged $60 for a pet fee… The breakfast is continental, they need to post that by the way. Far, far, far better places to stay near by.

This place would get 5 stars for the service and ammentities vs price if it wasn't for the fact the plastic key cards kept loosing there program so much so the staff which was excellent would program 3 to 5 at a time per person lol and we kept them IBM a drawer by themselves and some would work once or twice some not at all it was crazy. Also when we would go outside at night to smoke at the side entrance and it was freezing the cards would quit and when ur froze that's not good! But the staff was excellent the price was perfect. The beds not like home but do able. The breakfast was good didn't seem to be enough but they were busy. Close to everything and did I mention the staff lol especially the lady in charge of the cleaning crew and the front desk lady at night. Superb customer service went out of there way and above what was expected. Defiantly recommend if in the area.

Worst Hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Stains everywhere. Room smelled horrible. Dead bugs all under mattress as well as shells of bugs. A/C barely worked. Staff was very unfriendly. Would never come back here nor would I recommend it to my worst enemy. Better off sleeping in a garbage can.

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room that is well appointed for the class. I would definitely stay there again.

Girl at check in was a little ditsy. Rooms were ok. People would smoke right at front door. Breakfast, terrible. The lady had her young son in pajamas helping. He was coughing and hacking and wiping his nose, putting out bagels, donuts, and bread, with no gloves, all the while, coughing and hacking and wiping nose. We went to check out and kid was jumping over counter… we went next door and paid for breakfast.

Pets are allowed. Cheap rates. Dont use the vending machines, though. Very clean. Housekeeping does a wonderful job!

Decent price for a decent room. Staff was not rude but not friendly either. Breakfast was OK.

Disgusting room terrible customer service. Found a sex toy package in a made bed. Cleaning rags on the t. V. And desk. The bathroom stunk. Told the guy and he acted like I should be thankful he gave me another room. Never said sorry and wouldn't comp anything. Completely rude and disrespectful. Got my money back and will NEVER stay at a red roof slum inn again. 1 star only because I can't leave a zero.

This Red Roof is updated clean, they even allow pets (extra charge) the staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast isn't good. Not much to choose from, only down side.

Rather pricey for an okay hotel. Clean facility, pleasant check in staff, lots of cable channels … But, cold breakfast, no TV guide (print or on screen), broken vending machines on my level.

Very nice, clean rooms, complimentary breakfast. Employees are friendly and helpful. We stayed here to go to Holiday World Splashin' Safari which was less than 10 minutes away. The price of the room (we got a suite) was extremely reasonable especially compared to others in that area.

A room was $25 cheaper than the comfort inn across the street. Staff was wonderful. My room on 3rd floor was very nice, Bed was super comfortable. The sheets were a little worn with a small stain and hole. The elevator had a funky smell. I would definately here stay again.

Do not stay here! bed bugs. Female Patel mgr flipped us off as we loaded our luggage in the car. Omg. We have small children! We found them in both rooms. We gave them a cup with multiple bugs. We showed them the video of the many live bed bugs and dead roaches. They denied them having bugs bc they just treated both our rooms yesterday. Expedia helped us get a refund.

Staff was very professional and friendly. Room was larger than expected and mostly clean. However, there was a half empty juice bottle in the corner that was overlooked in cleaning. Beds were decently comfortable. Price was reasonable.

The air conditioner sounded like a freight train, there were only two towels and they knew there were 4 people, there was no coffee pot as stated, no cups so we had to ask for them. We had to go get the towels and the remote would not work and I called the office and they said they didn't know or offer to fix it. All in all pretty disappointing service. But the room was decent.

I gave 1 star only because of the helpful staff. Otherwise there would be no stars. Just like there was no coffee maker, practically no towels (2 for a family of 4) and no sleep sagging mattresses. What there was in abundance was chemicals in the tiny smelly swimming pool. We couldn't see below the surface! If it hadn't been for promising my 3 yr old grandson NO WAY would I have stepped foot in that water. At least we hope it was chemical that gave the pool it's unearthly cosmic blue hue. All in all just a place to sleep when visiting Holiday World. I had hoped for better.

Folks. Listen my wife is an absolute germ phob! I'm not sure why everyone bashes the place so bad. The place was clean, polite and EXTREMELY convienent to Holiday World. We were pleased! Even my two teenage girls were pleased.

This hotel was less than acceptable. The only reason we booked this room was for the pool which was closed. We did not get notified or refunded. When we got up to the room there was Mudd on the floor and the TV didn't work. The entire hotel smell like nail Polish remover. And the manager was very rude.

I booked this hotel because of the indoor pool, proximity to holiday world, and price. I walked in and paid for two nights and come to find out the pool was broken. Would have been nice to know before arrival. So I had two kids that had been talking about how excited they were to swim all day and were now extremely disappointed. When I approached "Ronnie" to discuss my concerns he spoke over me and told me about "his situation" and how he "understands. " I finally was able to interject and said, "You have continually interrupted me and talked over me every single time I've tried to talk so no you do not know my concerns. You should be listening to my situation. " He finally gave in and heard me out but still very hostile. I cannot believe how defensive he was talking to me and how he discredited my concerns. Terrible customer service. The hallways stink. I had to request several new pillow cases because the "clean" ones were dirty and had hairs all over them. The hotel overall could be cleaner. A side door that is supposed to open with a card key opens just by pulling the handle. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I will not stay here again.

Good for the price. Breakfast left a lot to be desired though. It was close by 3 fast food restaurants. Cvs across the street. Would return for a night stay but probably not for a multiple night stay.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! We have 2 complaints with staying here. First of all, our room smelled terrible of smoke. It says non smoking and we paid for non smoking and it still smelled terrible. Second of all, when we got there, they told us breakfast was from 6-9:30. That's all he said about breakfast. The next morning, we got up and went downstairs to eat at 9:00. There was no breakfast. We went and asked and they said, "well the time changed across the street, so you missed it. " VERY RUDE! There was no apology. They have 2 clocks posted in the lobby, but did not tell us anything about them being on a different time zone. Our phones said it was only 9:00, which phones always change time zones, but they said it was 10:00 there and there was nothing they could do about it. We asked why they didn't tell us there were 2 times zones and across the street was different, and there response was, "you should have known"… UM, I'M SORRY, BUT WE ARE FROM OUT OF TOWN, HENCE WHY WE ARE STAYING IN A HOTEL! There were VERY RUDE and inconsiderate. We NEVER be staying in a Red Roof Inn again and will make sure we inform all our friends not too either. We are very disappointed in our stay.

Not good. Way too expensive for the quality of room. Very uncomfortable beds and pillows. The hotel had a very strange smell to it. The breakfast was very limited and not very good.

Nice people and had great service but when I got breakfast there not so good only got orange juice it was delicious.

Nice. Clean. Basic breakfast. Fair price. The back of the property kinda messy. Over all I'd stay again.

Easy and cheap to rent. All the local businesses close at 8pm. Make sure to get what you need by then. The late night staff is far from personable. They'll answer basic questions and then hide in the back to play on Facebook or Tinder. At least pretend to care or to be helpful.

12/28/15 — I've never written a review before, ever. However, I had to. This is by far the worst hotel I've ever seen. First off, from the outside in, it looks pretty decent… Then I checked in. The elevators are not working, carpets destroyed and walls unclean (holes in various places) throughout the hallways. At the end of the hallway the window was partially open with hundreds of dead bugs on the floor. I figured they must be remodeling (wrong). I go inside my room with my son and see the following: door peep hole broken with a tissue shoved in it. Floors unclean, beds weren't clean, bugs everywhere. I went downstairs and asked for a refund, lady refused and wanted to see the issues. I showed the room, pulled back the sheets and showed all the hair in the bed (gross — there was enough to knit a sweater) she stated it was planted by my son, I asked her to repeat twice due to the broken English… I picked up a hair which was female and asked if this also came from his head and was she serious with that remark. Long story short, I received a refund, or at least we'll see if that happens and I moved over to the comfort inn, which btw is extremely nice.

Worst hotel ever! Absolutely absolutely absolutely stay somewhere else. First when we called on the phone they told us that there were baby cribs available when we got there the very overweight lady behind the counter told me that she was new and didn't know anything about it. Our baby has a special kind of spinal defect where it makes it very uncomforatable to lay anywhere besides a crib. We asked to speak the the manager but he was an idiot who knew almost no english me and my wife thought it would be a better experience since they switched to a red roof inn. Think not, then finnally after getting nowhere with him he started yelling at us. I was in shock I asked to speak to the owner which he was there because the hotel was undergoing renovation the owner also knew hardly any english and was no help. The manager stated that the night person would know more then instead of the mangager knocking on our door it was the night shift employee saying he was sry even tho it was not his fault finally we were fed up and we asked for our money back around ten o clock take in mind we were only there for a few short hours they would not return our 129.99 which was not worth the hotel price at all. It almost ruined our whole vacation we went accross the street to the comfort inn thank GOD! they saved our whole trip and was on a WHOLE other level compared to this hotel. The manager is the biggest dumbass ive ever met.

Worst place ever. They do not have rollaway cribs (website says they do) and the front desk people do not speak English. There were ants in the room and cockroaches in the hall. Couch hide a beds do not have sheets. Very very overpriced for the complete lack of cleanliness and zero service whatsoever. If you speak Farsi you may get service.

Worse hotel ever… Do yourself some justice and stay in Evanville IN. This hotel is nasty. Found dead bugs in bed. Towels were dirty with brown spots. Mattresses were brown and dead bugs on box spring. Manager/owner wanted to give us 10 percent and we asked for our refund to leave the hotel at 2am. We had to drive a hr to find a hotel. This hotel almost messed up out entire vacation. This hotel should be shut down. And over priced. Only thing good was that it was close to Holiday World! Nothing else.

It was late and I felt like I couldn't keep my eyes open so I went to the first hotel I saw. It was a comfort inn so I felt pretty confident that it would be a decent stay. I was completely wrong. First off he tried to charge $139 which is insane, then he went down to $119 which was still crazy, but I was too tired to drive another mile. When I went into the room I just fell asleep without paying any attention to detail. When I woke up I connected to the Wi-Fi and the website it redirects you to advertises their hotel for $84, so I thought I would take a shower and go down there to get some money back. When I got out of the shower I noticed all the towels had brown, black, and green stains on them. Disgusting. On the way to the front desk I also noticed they had cockroaches running in my room and the hallway. Also disgusting. Finally I'm at the front desk and it's not the man that checked me in, but I still vented my frustration even though I could tell he was just someone trying to make a living. After venting he told me there hands were tied and that I would have to call choice hotels for my money back. Another employee told me that we were put into a worker room, were the workers who live there have to reuse the towels. Also the complimentary breakfast barely had any choices, but that's neither here not there. Summary: drive another mile and pick another hotel this one is terrible.

Quoted $129 a night, $499 back of the door rate, AAA discount $79, I've seen Motel 6's more appealing than this, it was the first stop that had a motel after the Hoosier National Forest and a torrential rain making visibility unsafe. Seriously overpriced the only thing nice was the lightbar in the bathroom 15 bulbs, can't use it for a night light. Microwave was bolted to the refrigerator only the smallest of cups would fit.

Multiple issues: The side doors of hotel did not need a room key to operate, nor did they lock at all. The pool doors did not need a room key to operate, nor did they lock at all. (Note: when coupled with the above line, that means anyone could walk right in off the street into the pool). The font desk simply said they would notify maintenance. There were bugs on the floor, a dirty sock left in the bathroom, dirty towels in the closet, plastic earrings on the floor, and an unpleasant smell on the sheets. No effort was given to vacuuming the floors or cleaning the room. The front desk seemed more concerned with finger-pointing rather than making my stay more pleasant. Take your family elsewhere.

This does not even deserve one star. We chose this hotel because it seemed to be the only chain near Holiday World. We thought chosing a hotel name we were familiar with would be the best choice. WRONG! The parking lot was vacant. The lobby looked like a dated funeral home complete with faux fireplace. We arrived around 8 and found that there was no staff nearby. A baby cam was on the counter and you had to ring a bell for service. Creepy. Then we we went to our room. We had just enough time to unpack bathing suits and let the kids get into the pool before it was shut down for the night. The pool was not clean yet it reeked of chemicals. When we got to the room we started to unpack. That is when I noticed the blood stains on the bedspread. I went to the front desk and explained the situation to the employee (after ringing the bell and waiting, of course. ) No apology, I was just handed another bedspread. Fine it was late and we were not going to use it anyway. Taking items in the bathroom I noticed filth in the grout and grooves on the tile. Disgusting! I had to clean it myself. Go to turn on the TV, it does not work. We decide to call the front desk. The phone is inoperative. I literally was freightened. I went to the the front desk again and at this point I am livid. Still no response from this woman. I am certain she was heavily sedated. I gave up on her completely. I went back to our room and made sure the bolt and bar were on the door.
