Very nice and clean place to stay. Pool is super small but for a few people is nice. The breakfast is nice and it has a nice range of options. The evening staff has been very pleasant and helpful. This is our second time here and we will return.

The staff was wonderful, they were able to have answers to our questions. The ac was amazing especially after a day at six flags. The room was clean and nice. I loved the shower. Definitely exceeded what my boyfriend and my expectations were. When we travel back that way and need a place to stay we will deff be coming back.

Looks like a crqckhouse from the outside upon pulling up first thing I noticed was blankets and tapestreys on almost every window. Instantly entering u smell an OVERWHELMING amount of chlorine from the pool, and even if your room is on the third floor that is ALL you will smell. I spoke with someone after leaving fast the next morning with a migraine. Upon calling they only offered me another stay. I refused and instantly contacted credit agency. They still got the charge reversed claiming they “never spoke with me” and that I checked out (even though when asked how my stay was I responded “not the greatest, but I will call and explain I’m in a hurry” which is true I checked out early as soon as I woke up because I had business otherwise I would have MUCH RATHER dealt with Priceline and tried to find other arrangements. I didn’t have time or energy to do that sadly. Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in gurnee area. They claimed 2.5 star on Priceline but it’s obviously 2 Star every other site. Also I wouldn’t give it more than a single star. Terrible. Extended stay America down the street has always treated me great and remedied any issues I had without me having to involve my credit agency.

Outdated rooms, tiny pool and lumpy beds. However was convenient for our purpose of staying in Gurnee. Great customer service. I'd stay again because of price, convenient to locations & decent breakfast.

Very accommodating and friendly staff. Clean rooms. Recommended for any navy graduate family. We accidentally left something in our room and they called and notified us and mailed it to us immediately. A life saver!

I love Country Inn but this one put me in a bad mood right at the get go. I have stayed in many many many hotels in my 62 years and I have never had one that took $50 off my debit card for incidentals. REALLY? Of course we had no incidentals but I still had to wait 3 days to get my fifty back. Then we get to our room and it is not the room I booked. They tried to pull a fast one on us but I wasn't having it. They knew they were busted so they relocated us to the room I booked. The pool was cold and apparently people in Illinois don't appreciate hot tubs as they no longer have them at hotels so that was a BUMMER. I would not stay here again even if they gave me the room for free.

It's very clean and looks like its in the midst of a much needed renovation. We were in town for a Navy graduation so it was perfect for us. Good price, friendly staff, centrally located to the Navy base, food and shopping and reasonable prices.

The hotel was quaint, cozy and and the staff was so friendly. The breakfast was tasty and had enough options in my opinion. If you're looking for a buffet you'll have to head to the Golden Corral around the corner. My family and I were there for my son's Navy bootcamp graduation ceremony and the hotel was conveniently located about 15 from the base. There are also several places to eat located in the same area. My family and I felt like we were at home in this hotel. The complementary cookies, tea and coffee in the lobby were spot on after coming in from the cold. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Very clean. Friendly staff. We had our family reunion here this weekend. Everything was good. The only suggestion I would give, update the pillows. We did go home to bring our own pillows, because these go flat causing your neck to cramp.

Stayed here to go to Navy bootcamp graduation & was pleasantly surprised! The staff was SO courteous, every inch of the property was immaculate & we felt so welcomed by everyone there! I can't remember the last time I stayed at a hotel that I'd truly want to go out of my way to stay at again!

Touring comedian Steve Sabo recently stayed here while performing nearby and loved it! The room was perfect, and the staff was super friendly (especially since they checked in so late. ) There was even a free breakfast buffet in the morning which made getting back on the road that much easier!

Was charged 50.00 for towels they said was stained. I went back to the hotel and asked to see the towels they had not washed them. The towels had make up on it and 1 had ice cream. I spoke to the GM Kai Patel and he stated they had not attempted to washed them, they ASSUME the stains would not come out. Being retired military I have traveled and stayed at many hotels and never been charged for such a thing. This business practice of charging 50.00 for incidentals that they decided to impose is outrageous and should not be allowed. I might be able to understand if they made several attempts to wash the towels but they did not. I asked to see the policy on how they determine the amount to charge they did not have one. Only showed me a 50.00 incidental clause they can impose. I asked how much are the cost of the towels he stated 36 for 250.00 so each NEW towel would cost $6.94. So basically I was charge more for the towels then the hotel pays for them, which I paid for used towels so that's not including depreciation.

Clean hotel, quite new and taken care of. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. It offers free Wi-Fi and free breakfast. The staff is friendly. It has a swimming pool and a fitnnes room. It's near Six Flags.

Family getaway July 6 and 7 2016. Very nice hotel. Clean and friendly. I wanted to write this review because I was kind of nervous staying here because of the negative reviews. But I really enjoyed my stay. Don't know why there was so many negative reviews. Even the breakfast and pool was nice and. The workout room was the only thing that was not in service. The ladies that clean the room get a A+. They are the reason why the hotel is in great shape. Hopefully the management feels the same. Great asset to your hotel.

I know this is lengthy but please read, I read the reviews, I don't understand how these people think it's a good hotel, unless the hotel did the reviews, We waited at the desk for fifteen minutes, finally someone came out, no uniform or name badge, we thought do you work here? This person checked us in, the halls are all dim, I immediately thought Bates hotel out of horror movie. We got to the room, was in terrible condition, asked to be moved, this gentleman working there did just that, and took us to another room, just as bad, ac was on 65, cold as all get out, could not warm up the room, called the guy back up, got anything else? Yes a room one the first floor, wall in, like a dungeon, ok I've had it… We're not staying here. He refunded our cc and on our way we went at 10pm looking for another hotel. Lucky lucky lucky the Hampton Inn in Gurnee had one last room, we took it Happy now.

Yay I had a hot tub a nice bed room I had no complaints it was fun and you can relax alot.

Do not stay here! me and my sister stayed here and ended up in the hospital because of bed bugs! it's been reported and you can check on the lake county health department. We stayed for a few nights seemed really nice, staff was nice, room seemed ok, bathroom was dirty, but it takes a lot for me to get upset. My sister woke up the first night with bites all over her hands and feet. We had never even heard of bed bugs so we literally could never fathom spending 100 dollars a night and there being any issues. We thought it was are puppy maybe he had flees and they were little bites. However we called the front desk asked told them that my sister woke up with a few bites, they tried to blame it on the laundry detergent, and assured us that while we were at work that day they had cleaned the entire room, and had it checked which was obviously a lie. The 2 night at about 2 am my sister woke up from what she describes as a burning feeling everywhere all over her arms, back, hands, legs. She turned the lamp on and came to my bed moved my sheet, and started screaming. I jumped up and I don't know what made me do this but I grabbed a napkin and grabbed the bug. My sister went into the bathroom she had what I can only describe as the most horrific thing I've ever seen. Bites that were so bad they were welts that started to swell her entire body. After the initial shock and her screaming at the top of her lungs she kept taking her cloths off.

Room was clean, breakfast was good, staff was friendly. My only complaint is the small size of the pool and there is no hot tub.

Everyone was really helpful and nice. Alex and Andrea were fantastic. It looks as if they are remodeling, Everything was clean and looked good. The pool was not available but they did give us a courtesy cal. I would definitely stay there again.

Place was a mess, people were rude and it took 3 hours after check in for them to get the room ready. Worst experience ever!

The room service is great, they have great breakfast options in the morning. The hotel feels very clean.

The beds are AMAZING! I want to take the beds home they are that comfortable. Rates are decent. Hotel is close by almost everything.

We liked the room and area just fine. Check in was easy, parking was good etc. However the pool is super tiny. It looked way different than what I thought the pictures portrayed. Luckily our family was the only people using the pool area for majority of the time we were there. One thing I was very unhappy about is a $30 fee that was charged to my credit card for "stained towels". The stains they are referring to is one white towel I used to wipe my makeup on. I left it on the bathroom counter in plain site. I would have never imagined I would get charged for it otherwise I would have just taken it with me and washed it myself so I could keep that $30 towel.
