The location is great, there is plenty of places to eat nearby and the "L" is walking distance. The hotel is older but well maintained. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable which is a big plus in my book. Parking is very limited and finding street parking in the area can be very difficult as well. Overall it was a nice place to spend the weekend.

Looks like a shady place at first, but once we checked out the neighborhood and room, it wasn't bad at all. Better than some places surrounding Chicago for the same price, if not more… best part about it was that parking is free, unlike some of the hotels in downtown. That was another perk, it was close, yet far enough from downtown, that is within minutes from the hotel. There was a nice spot/beach close by for our kids to put their feet in the water and take awesome pics of Lake Michigan. All in all the hotel is convenient and rooms were clean and updated. It is an older building, but served its purpose for the price.

A nice place for a motel but a bit pricey to stay for a night. It was not worth the price for a two bed room. For that amount I could have stayed at a Hilton not a Super 8

The management at this hotel is rude and unprofessional. Planned a trip to see a cubs game and it got postponed. No need for the room so we let them know in plenty of time but could not get a refund even though we never even checked into the room. Now I know why the parking lot was empty. Regardless of policy they need to learn how to treat customers. Probably for the best we didn't stay there. Based on the looks alone it was pretty creepy and run down. Next trip to Chicago I will look for a real hotel. Avoid this hotel!

I booked this thru a hotel website for a cubs baseball game. The day I arrived, the game was cancelled for severe weather, the hotel was unsympathetic to my situation, or the fact that I just drove 11 hours to get there for no reason. Regardless of policy, I requested a refund, before check-in time, and was refused. Upon asking for the owner, I was told he has nothing to do with the business, but I was speaking with Craig, C-R-A-I-G, that was his exact words, before he hung up on me. We exchanged a few messages on hotels portal, and told him to have some human decency, he said this wasn't about human decency, it was about me not getting what I wanted. This is outright stealing, when I never stepped foot in a room and gave ample time for them to re-sell the room. I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but they are not accredited. I have to come there in July for the makeup baseball game, and I had every intention on booking at this hotel, but it's obvious, they just want to steal my money and don't care about my situation, but no service was provided. Avoid this place at all costs, customer service is lacking.

The staff was really great n nice. I overslept a lil and where other places would be pounding on your door or calling the room phone they didnt at all. I loved that. The room size was just fine not too small at all. Bed was very comfortable. Lol better then mine. I stayed in the smoking area. The only thing I really didnt like was all the cigarette stains in the bathroom. On the toilet and tub. Ppl should be charged a damage fee for things like that so mabe it wouldnt happen as much and mabe do some type of diy project to clear the stains would be nice. Other then that it was a great stay, comfortable and quite and a great staff!

They have great customer service and the rooms clean never had a problem.

I checked in late night after my home became uninhabitable due to an emergency. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly manager and I didn't think much of it. Upon getting to my room I found the bedding to be filthy, and TV not working. I put my shoes back on and went down stairs and asked the manager to either fix the problem, change my room, or simply refund me. After he dismissed me for 20min, he ran away from the front desk. I returned to my room and assumed I'd find him there, he wasn't. So I headed back down to the front desk, where he again wasn't. I returned back to my room to see maybe if he was there? Turns out someone was, but they had entered my room and double locked it using the privacy throw that opens the door a crack. I knocked on the door and shouted for someone to open the door. Since I had a long enough night already and didn't want any more confrontation, I left planing to seek resolution in the morning. Instead I get a nasty, snide email from the hotel owner who accused me of being a drunk, belligerent patron, when in fact that was quite the opposite. I always suspected this hotel of being a less than par spot for various reasons, and I should've heeded the gut feeling I got when I first walked in.

The rooms were nice. They had breakfast and good service.

Rooms pretty good but coming to bathrooms and public spaces are pretty much conjusted. They had a decent breakfast in their menu.

We were in Chicago for a wedding, and this was cheaper than the other hotels suggested to us. It was fine for a night. Good size room, friendly helpful staff, ok breakfast in the morning. Water pressure in the shower was pretty weak, but I like a strong shower.

The hotel was very nice — the bed was comfortable and the staff friendly. The shower pressure was a little lacking. The curtains blocked all light, which was perfect, but sheets would be a lovely addition so one can have some natural light without worrying that someone might be able to see in. Overall a good stay.

The hotel is in a nice area. The elevator is quite small. Room was nice. Breakfast could've use a few more choices.

Just a downright horrible experience. If staying in Rogers Park, opt for a tent! See some great pics!

Overall very good, comfortable rooms and great location. Service was well. Unfortunately, there were ant problem in the rooms.

We reserved a room & informed them we wouldn’t arrive until 12 p. M. Midnight & they said that we could have a later checkout time for next day. We pre paid, so After we arrived they swiped are credit card again and charged us twice & didn’t honor the late check out time. Therefore we payed $169 for 10 hours & had to wait around in the morning to talk to my bank about them cancelling the double charge. On top of this we were approached by hookers & drug dealers outside while we were smoking offering their services! Breakfast is always yogurt & waffles. Please don’t stay here espeacially if you have kids.

Was very overpriced for my stay here for a dated and dirty room. From check in, the man at front was very rude, accusing me of stealing his $0.10 pen after losing it and then subsequently tossing our keycard in front of us. Once in the room, it had a musky odour and was neat but dirty with cobwebs and a couple dead bugs in some corners. After finding out there was no complementary water, I was told to buy the $1 water bottles. With a total charge of ~$400, they couldn't provide a couple complementary bottles of water that would cost mere cents in bulk? After arriving back home, all of my clothing that was left out had absorbed the odour of the room and had to be rewashed. All in all, I would not recommend this place. I've been in $15 hostels that were better than this establishment.

My flight was delayed twice and ultimately cancelled. Inturn I was unable to reach my destination. The super8 manager dodged my calls and refused to honor Expedia's zero fee cancellation policy. Think twice about paying upfront with this location.

Super 8 allowed me to check in extremely late after a mix up with our other accommodation. The room was clean and there was free breakfast in the morning. Decent place.

Brand new. Very nice. Restaurant next door. Not on all GPS devices. My bed is a nice and firm pillow-top type. There is a modem in each room so the Wi-Fi is great. Fridge, microwave, and a large granite counter in bathroom.

Way cleaner than I anticipated given the room was pretty cheap. Decent breakfast. Decent neighborhood too. Attendants were nice also. Over all totally worth the price.

Very convenient motel for a short stay. Love that they offer parking because it is very hard to come by in Chicago. The room was spacious and clean. There is nothing fancy about staying here so if you are looking for luxury this isn't for you. If it's a clean, safe place to stay than I highly recommend. The motel was within walking distance to shops and dining if you are up for a short hike. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
