The room was nice, perfect location, absolutely loved the sun deck and the staff were excellent. I will definitely be back again.

We have stayed every year for about the last 5 at this motel and we would not stay anywhere else. Besides the perfect location, 1/2 block from the boardwalk. As soon as you turn off 50 it is the first motel you come to. The housekeeping staff is amazing. They are the nicest group that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Not one of them walk past you without saying hello, good morning whatever, they always acknowledge you. They are extremely helpful with whatever you need. Most of the staff at the front office are very helpful. The only draw back at this motel is the bathrooms are very small, but you aren’t here for the bathrooms lol. The rooms are older but they have been in the process of remodeling so of course with Covid things were held up but they will continue this off season. If you are looking for a great motel and at decent price this is the place for you. I don’t know where the people who are complaining stayed but I have NEVER had a dirty room in the last 5 years.

The pictures make it look updated and great… no it’s hardly that at all! The renovations consisted of plywood walls, painted!
Regardless of that, the suite was DISGUSTING! I had to go buy $50 worth of cleaning supplies to clean my own place so my family could walk on floors without their feet sticking! The door frames and doors were completely covered in dirt and food from past customers. The baseboards had an inch of dust & dirt on them, this wasn’t a one time miss, this was something that was never done! My family of 4 slept in one Queen sized bed together, ON TOP of a blanket we brought bc the sheets were dirty. We did this instead of using the pull out bed bc there was dirt and debris all over it when we pulled it out.
I could deal with crappy construction rooms, but filth is unacceptable!

This is actually disgusting. So not only was the front desk girl HORRIBLE to us as soon as we got here, telling us she was going to charge us twice or we could go home, but this is what we just walked into. Disgusted that we had to pay $70 to sleep on dirty sheets.

Save your money and don't book here. We brought our 3 toddlers for our first family vacation and I'm so disappointed, we rented the house on the property. Check in time was 4, we couldn't check in till after 430 because of staff issues and they were behind cleaning the house we rented. We got in and the house was FILTHY so not sure what they actually cleaned? And they actually sent someone to inspect it first. Messaged the owner because the front desk was miserable when we checked in (rented through Vrbo) He sent the maintenance man who redid the floors and said he would waive the $50 cleaning fee (still hasn't been refunded) after that the fridge wasn't working, called front desk to be put on hold forever, walked up and they weren't even doing anything. The man came in again to check fridge and said he'd be back in 10 minutes and never did. We actually checked out a day early because it was so disgusting. There's dirt on every surface; walls, microwave, vents, fans, you name it! Cigarette butts all over porch, nails sticking up in the floor that actually cut feet. Music blasting all night, people smoking weed at all times. In a time where they should be taking extra precautions due to COVID I don't think they care at all. Told front desk at checkout she didn't apologize at all just said she'll tell management.

The only good thing about this place is the location right near the boardwalk. You would think during a pandemic, the hotel would make sure the housekeeping staff went the extra step to make sure the rooms are cleaned thoroughly between guests. As soon as we walked in you could tell the floors had not been swept, there were crumbs and sand all over. The bathroom had hair all over the floor and the sink looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. No pillow cases on the pillows, we had to go down and ask for some. We asked them to come in and sweep the floor but “they can’t come in our room once we’ve checked in due to Covid. ” Said they would leave a broom and couldn’t even manage that. The standard room with two double beds is so small and there is hardly any room to even move in the bathroom. They couldn’t even manage to hang the shower curtain low enough so every time you take a shower water gets all over the bathroom floor. Pictures online might look nice but what you get is basically a glorified closet.

Definitely expected better rooms for the price that we paid. The pictures online look way better than the actual rooms. Told my friends we were staying at a nice hotel and then walked in here. We paid $350 for one night. The best room we could get, and got this. The shower was soooo small and there were stains on the walls. The walls were paper thin and the noise levels were insane.

Awesome location, amazing staff and the upgrades they have done are beautiful. Have been staying at this motel every year for the past 10 years. Will be back again this summer for our annual Birthday celebration!

Have stayed several times, great friendly staff, inexpensive and close to the beach …

The rooms are like prison cells. They're entirely to small for the price. The parking lot is a mess. Every car is squeezed in to the point you can barely open your car door. Pool hours are lame only 9am to 9pm. I had no idea when room cleaning happens but it isn't daily. In fact my room wasn't cleaned all weekend and no new towels or toilet paper were provided. ROOM:
One bed we got was broken in the middle which was disappointing. No chairs and only one dresser. Microwave barely functioned. Mini fridge worked well. Only three outlets in entire room which isn't acceptable. TV has 23 channels. Lights all worked. AC worked ok. Wifi isn't worth using because it's so slow. I had to hotspot my phone to get anywhere. BATHROOM:
The shower is coffin size with terrible water pressure. The water will randomly turn way to hot for a second or two. All except one of the towel hangers was completely missing. Facet dripped and barely turned on. CONCLUSION:
I wouldn't stay here again. You certainly don't get what you pay for here at all. The closeness to the beach was the only good part.

Cleaner rooms, better parking, nicer rooms, bigger rooms. Better service. Definitely not as nice as the pictures on the internet. We requested pool side and never got it.

Great people work with use great overall experience coming again next year.

I didn't have any major issues with the motel. If anything I felt the bathroom/shower could have been a little bigger but that is not a major issue for me. The fact that it's a half a block away from the boardwalk makes it a wonderful place to stay while not paying a whole lot, the walk isn't far at all to the beach. I feel like it gets the job done as far as being close to the beach while not paying a whole lot for a hotel on the beach. My wife and I have been going for the past 2 years and we like it. There's no major issues from us but everyone's stay is different.

Their prices were reasonable, but they had an issue with bedbugs and I had to ask for a different room in a different building. They acted like it was MY fault they had bedbugs and said that "the people who had the room before you were very well dressed and drove a really expensive SUV"… SO!?! What does THAT mean?!? I had no bedbugs in my own home so why did I get bit up in 2 of their rooms?!? This was not a BYOB (Bring Your Own Bedbugs) party! I had JUST washed all of my clothes and had no bugs when I got there. But I got bit in the middle of the night and caught the bug that bit me and put it in a baggie to show them and they definitely acted like I brought my pet bedbug to their motel. So because I don't drive a brand new luxury SUV I'm automatically "dirty". I HAD to stay there that time because it was all that I could afford at the time. Won't make that mistake again.

Not expensive for the location. Rooms were great — very nice bathroom, pictures are accurate. Housekeeping was very efficient. The office staff were sassy and rude. There was a $150 security deposit that wasn’t disclosed up before checking in.

The rooms are small, I mean real small and the bathroom has just enough room to take a step and a half. Standing shower only with almost no room to turn around without having to step out of it. The door sticks and is cry difficult to open. You literally have to throw your shoulder into it and the pillows are flatter than a sheet of paper. The A/C unit works like a charm and the view is nice. Walking distance from 2 convenience stores which is very nice. It's only a block away from the boardwalk entrance and with free parking you would be doing yourself a favor staying here if you're going to the beach. Just bring your own pillows. Over all I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again in the future.

We all well enjoyed. Our kids also, well enjoyed the pool too. Close to shops, and boardwalk. People friendly, and the staff their. We totally recommend this place.

The motel room smelled musty, like it may have flooded before, had water damage on the walls. I had to constantly spray perfume to withstand the smell. The carpet was also damp. The towels and sheets have a weird smell and are damp. There's piles dirt/grunginess in the corners of the room. Ants all over the window in the bathroom. And on top of everything, since I am 20 years old I had to put down a security deposit of $150 and was told I would get it back at time of check out if no damage was done to the room, well my boyfriend cut his knuckle off the side of the dresser in the room and in his sleep the scab came open and blood got on one of the sheets. We were charged for all new bedding for the entire room. Won't stay here ever again.

I was a little wary of staying here because I'd seen some old bad reviews. The new ones changed my mind, though, and I could not have been happier. It's exactly what you'd expect for a motel — a bedroom and a bathroom. Perfect for a quick beach trip! Literally the ONLY complaint I had about the room was that the electrical outlets were a little loose. Everything else was PERFECT. My boyfriend and I scrutinized everything, and found nothing to complain about. It was wonderfully clean, service was fantastic, both check-in and — out were a breeze! I can't recommend Madison Beach Motel enough!

I am originally from NYC, moved to York, PA about a year ago. Since moving here, I’ve been hearing great things about OCMD and finally decided to visit. I chose Madison Beach Motel because it was, conveniently, close to the boardwalk. My expectations were not very high, as the price was really low. I thought since the price was so low, the service and quality would be also. Well, I was pleasantly surprised at how great the service was. Sierra, at the front desk was training a new Team Member and they were both so welcoming. I was even more surprised when Sierra told us that we are allowed to stay parked at the hotel up to 3:00pm on the day of our checkout. She also told us there’s an outdoor shower we can use when we get back from the beach, since we will have already checked out. Seriously, this is amazing service and even though our double room was smaller than the usual hotel room, I will be back here in July, August and September. Summer, the Manager, checked us out. She inquired about our stay and ensured that we had a great time. She also educated us on the advantages of calling the Madison Beach Motel and booking directly, as opposed to a third party website. I can, confidently, say the Madison Beach Motel, Summer and Sierra has made my first time at OCMD one I will not forget. Thank you so very much!

Always choose Madison Beach Motel for their awesome low prices. The manager summer really helped me out on multiple occasions, and went the extra mile to make sure I was satisfied. She’s such a sweetheart! If your looking for hospitality and great prices, come to Madison Beach Motel! It’s also directly across the street from the boardwalk entrance which is very convenient! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time. Summer (manager), Amanda (desk) & Deborah (Housekeeping) are great. They make you feel like family. If you have any questions about the area or for things to do they are helpful. Everyone that works there has a smile. The new deck is a nice place to sit. It's close to the boardwalk within walking distance. We always enjoy our stay.

Tremendous value for money spent with a few caveats. First, the good stuff. Pleasant and accommodating staff on check in and out. The hotel is built with concrete blocks, walls for sure, ceilings as well? The point being the hotel was packed and I never heard a peep from another guest. A/C was pumping and good. Rooms are small but for one person, that isn't an issue. The challenges. I'm 6'5 and my "svelte" days are some days behind me. The shower is tiny and I suffered from the attack of the shower curtain. I hate that. It's gross (not the curtain but it constantly trying to attach itself to your body; the shower is long but skinny). Water pressure is fine. The toilet is another matter. If you aren't of regular size or tiny, beware. Not to be gross but it's like trying to sit on a tin can. That and the pitch from the toilet to the shower wall is about the same as you'll find on an airplane so my knees were jammed up against the wall. Finally, there was a general mishit on the cleaning of the bathroom only. The room itself was perfectly clean but, again, to keep this from being gross, they missed a substantial spot. That's fixable. For size alone (mine), I won't be staying there again. BUT, if you aren't of the supersized human race, I recommend this hotel.

They have a nice clean room. The room service is amazing, she asked every day if we wanted her to clean our room and she we said no she asked if there's anything we need. The girls in office are upbeat an very nice, they do what they can for you.

Great hospitality, wonderful staff, great rates, great location! Summer went above and beyond to see that we had an amazing trip, she was so friendly and made us feel very welcomed! Josh was very polite and helpful at checkin! Over all we had an amazing stay! Definitely will come back!

Rooms are clean and location is convenient. Nothing fancy but everything you need is there, microwave and fridge included. The people are friendly and helpful. Rates are very competitive.

Free Parking if you get a spot, otherwise you'll have to park where they tell you and you will be walking with your luggage! I like how they advertised their parking twice.
Relax at… their dirty outdoor pool in the middle of a parking lot backing up to an alley with dumpsters. That will fit a max of 6 young children and filled with sand. I wouldnt trust the Wi-Fi there. Not a chance. Haha. If you could even find an outlet that works AND holds the plug and doesnt fall out or give you a jolt.
mini fridge that smelled as if something died in it. A microwave that was … just gross. Oh, you had to unplug one to use the other (not that I did other). The power strip only had a couple working outlets & looked like it was covered in molded puke. The working outlets were for the TV and dehumidifier. I mean not like there was a purpose. The tiny bathroom window was stuck open. Face level and next to parking spots. Lots of traffic when youre trying to do your business. In the patched up bathroom with random balls of hair and splatters from tooth brushing and who knows what else. Oh splatters came complimentary on your soap, etc… (youll see).

That is crazy I called to cancell my room for 4 months away and they keep 50 for me cancell wow never again so rude to take people's money like that when you still have time to rent it out.! I will never rent a room again there.

It's March an just a sheet on the bed, the one bed was broken, you lay on it and it topples to the side. The toilet is the same size for kindergartners. Walls are paper thin, broken fridge and phone. At least our room was clean. Our friends were suppose to stay at the same hotel and their room was moldy no heat and just a sheet for a blanket. Do not use this hotel. We know we won't ever again.

Nice motel. Very good pricing, rooms seem a bit cramped, but plenty of room for 1 or 2 people. Just a block away from the boardwalk, and right next to 7 eleven and fat daddy's.

Walked in the room right after we checked in. It smelled like mold and cigarettes, despite it being a non-smoking room. The walls had blood splatters on them, the mold on the wall was poorly covered with wallpaper, and there was a vomit stain on the bedsheets, not to mention the doors lock was missing. Most disgusting room I've ever been in in my life. Would not recommend coming here at all!

The people here were very pleasant very nice very helpful I got to say the room was very clean when I entered the price was very cheap right where all the action is every year I come down here this where I will be thank you Madison Beach Motel it was a pleasure.

My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights and it was fairly enjoyable. The room was comfortable, but small. The beds were comfortable as well and the staff was courteous, polite, and helpful. As I said before it will a little small and the price could have been a bit better, but I wouldn't mind staying here again if I had to.

So, I guess I'll start with the two positives from our stay. The beach was across the street which made it a nice and easy walk. Second, I was able to keep my car on the lot till 3pm on the day of checkout. Now, the negatives. Oh boy, where do I start? The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The cleaning service doesn't change or make the bed everyday, only when asked. Good thing the bathroom had a plunger because you needed to use it every time you went. The whole room was tile. Which some may like. That being said, it wasn't cleaned daily. Good luck using the Wi-Fi. The connection was horrible. You could've ran the length of the boardwalk and back before something loaded. Finally, the room had a horrible smell. Like, words can't describe it. When we bought the to the staff attention there wasn't anything that could be done. Finally, the microwave was completely rusted. The pictures on Facebook and Priceline are definitely misleading. In the future I'll most definitely be staying at other hotels on the island.

We stayed this past week for senior week, this place was alright for this but I would never recommend this place for a family vacation. From the naked eye this place looked pretty decent. Once you got in there was a leg about to fall off the table, chairs that if you sit in you are afraid they might collapse and a door that was falling off the frame. We all tried walking around in barefeet but had to stop because our feet turned black. The place was dirty. The counters hadn't been wiped, toilets weren't clean, and the sheets had an odor. At check out we were accused of missing sheets and blankets. We knew where they were and when we back to show them it was like they had vanished. Ended losing more then half of our $450 deposit over 2 blankets and a sheet. Not worth the money. Do not stay here.

The people are very nice, and the security guards are even better. Rooms are very small but you are getting what you are paying for. We went for senior week and did not have a single problem. If you're going to be drinking keep it away that's all they ask. Great place. Especially for senior week.

I have been staying there for quite a few years now. I never had a dirty room, appliances not working or saw a dirty pool. I always ask housekeeping for extra things like pillows or towels and never had a problem. For my money I love staying there. Can't wait to go back this summer. Wonderful staff too!

There were hair things from the last guest in the shower and motel staff came in my room randomly unannounced on their own desire, not mine, at 10 am when I was not expecting anyone, even though checkout is at 11.

Honestly. It was pretty good. If you're not high maintenance and asking for a whole lot then this is a good place. Just kicked it back with my friends and walked over to the boardwalk when needed (which is like 50 steps away). Also there is a 7-eleven right around the corner so that's a plus.

Small rooms with no hair dryer or iron. Heat/Air unit doesn't accommodate the room sufficiently. Limited channels on TV.

I booked this motel last minute and I was not sure what I was going to get. I was very pleased with the room and the service. It was not the biggest room but it was clean and updated. The pool was not the biggest either but was perfect for my family and very well kept. The prices to were very good considering how close to the boardwalk. I would most deff book this motel again next year if I decide to come back to ocean city.
