Great place to stay. Reasonable price and has a family feel to it.

Close too everything in Annapolis MD. The staff is very friendly and willing to help your stay enjoyable.

Very nice with a home feel. Great service. Parking is limited but there is a garage and it is half off with stay.

Cutest little historical building and the woman who runs it is so helpful and sweet! Had no problems when accidentally booking for the wrong weekend, she was great and helped us change it to the right date. The view from the room was amazing too.

This was perfect, in the center of Annapolis, great distance to the important areas. We parked our car and then we did everything walking. They gave us a 50% discount for the parking area and even a upgrade to the room (with a Jacuzzi). Amber was super nice and answered my questions about what to do and visit around. Definitely I would go back. This is gonna be my place Everytime I go to Annapolis. By the way: Annapolis is beautiful and we had great crabs.

Customer service is top notch! The room was big and it's the perfect spot for an authentic, historic Annapolis stay. Highly recommended!

I don’t understand how this place has decent reviews. I have stayed at Motels that we're nicer and cleaner than this place. My husband and I stayed in the Prince William room for 2 nights for a mini vacation after Christmas. The location was great but that's about it. The room and the furnishings were warn and old but not in a charming and historical antique way. There was a huge watermark on the ceiling. There was dust and grime on the baseboards behind the nightstand between the two beds. The bathroom was dirty and dated (again not in a early 1900s way. More like a late 1980s way). The water took 20 minutes to get warm. Let me repeat, standing in the bathroom for TWENTY MINUTES waiting for the water to get warm enough to shower. There were 2 queen beds in our room (We love each other dearly but also enjoy sleeping separately sometimes) but one of them was so uncomfortable we slept together. There is a taco bar behind the inn which plays bass thumping loud music till 11:30pm which made it impossible to sleep before then. There was no staff on premise other than at check in — apparently this isn't uncommon for an inn. We've never stayed at an inn so that was unexpected and we didn't care for that. Seriously other than the location this place was awful. Over priced and under cared for. Never again.

We loved it and will definitely be staying again. Amber is amazing and works to please each guest as much as possible. If you experience anything that is unsatisfactory, make sure you stop and see her. Also, remember this is a 100+ year old building with 1 person running it and 1 cleaning person. If you want an experience like at a generic chain hotel then I suggest not staying at the State House Inn. That being said, into the meat of my review. This place is clean, beautiful, comfortable, warm, and inviting. We stayed for 1 bizarrely blustery night and were not disturbed by wind noise. Our bed was incredible, with good linens that smelled fresh and lots of pillows. It was 80+ degrees in mid-October and the AC was on when we arrived (Thank God) after hours. The after hours check in process is unusual, but streamlined. There is no after hours staff, but someone is available 24 hours if theres an issue. There is a handicapped suite and bathroom on the main level. There are a lot of stairs, so if that's an issue, I suggest calling and specifically requesting a room on the lower floors. We stayed on the third floor. Our bathroom was a 4 piece with a normal height tub and decent water pressure. Our view was awesome. Our room was so clean with beautiful antique furniture. There is a TV with cable; Wi-Fi; and a kurig with multiple different k-cup flavors in the room. The hair dryer was under the sink.

What a wonderful great find. Love every minute staying here and will continue to come back. Everyone friendly and go above to ensure your stay is the best. If you are coming to Annapolis do not hesitate to stay here.

Absolutely loved our visit here. Beautiful hotel in an amazing location. Amber worked so hard to make our stay comfortable. She was the difference between our stay being ok and being wonderful. What a wonderful atmosphere she has created. We stay in Annapolis regularly and this is our favorite!

Great location, perfect room, air worked great. Only complaint was the ice machine was empty and not working. All toiletries were supplied as well as a blow dryer. Will definitely stay there again when visiting Annapolis. Easy walk to Main Street, shops, restaurants and the harbor.

The State House Inn was just what my husband and I were looking for. Its location made it perfect for walking to all of the local shops and restaurants. The room had a great view of the State House and a view of Main Street. The staff was very friendly and made sure that all of our needs were met. When we visited, it was in the mid to high 90s the whole time so we were thankful for the very reliable airconditioning unit that our room had. The location made it easy to explore downtown and then return to our room for a break and to cool off. The only issue we ran into was the shower temperature. It would change from hot to cold and then to warm again on its own. I did keep in mind that it is a small house with several rooms and other guests showering so it could just be a timing issue of when everyone is showering. However, we came to see Annapolis and not waste time showering so it worked out :)

We stayed at The State House for one night in July 2017. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. The only reason for 4 stars is that some investments could be made in new furnishings. However for a one night trip into town it was perfectly adequate.

Early check in was easy, staff was accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable, though dated. Would stay here again.

The room was clean and the staff incredibly friendly. I'm docking a star for two reasons: we stayed in the room overlooking the main drag, and it was pretty noisy, and there were definitely a few things in the room that need some attention. The Jacuzzi tub didn't work, and other minor repairs would have definitely improved the experience. Generally, the room was clean and comfortable.

I had already booked a room at The State House Inn when a friend invited me to stay with him. Despite the cancellation policy clearly stating that the room would be fully charged the Manager was kind enough to let me off the hook after I let her in on my situation — on the day of my supposed arrival, too. I can't say much about the Hotel (although it looks really lovely and I've heard great things) but my experience interacting with them certainly was the best one possible and there's no question as to where I'll stay the next time I find myself looking for accommodation in Annapolis.

Unbeatable location at the best value in town. Clean and lovely in everyway! Owner I learned is an Academy grad and very welcoming. Top notch all the way around.

Vintage hotel with a real homey feel. We stayed in the King George room, it had a giant Jacuzzi tub and a very comfortable memory foam mattress. The room was on the third floor and out the east window we had a beautiful view of main street and the harbor. If you want to get a feel for Annapolis this is the place to stay. The location alone is perfect, right in the heart of downtown, and the hotel's vintage design gave us a warm and fuzzy the whole stay.

What a great place to stay! The Queen Anne room is large and comfortable, with a huge Jacuzzi tub and a shower. It was quiet and accommodating for the entire time I was there. The armoire in the room was so big that I felt like I didn't pack enough clothes! The internet was as fast as home, and easy to connect to. The bed was comfortable, all of the sheets, the shower curtain, and the towels were clean and looked close to new. The manager, Carath, was incredibly nice and had a great knowledge of the area, the events happening, and the best places to go. She is definitely an asset to that place. There are 4 large windows with views overlooking Main St, and a fantastic view right down Main Street all the way to City Dock and the water. They have obviously infested a lot of money into this property. I had a brand new TV and Comcast digital cable with the guide. You come out the front door, walk through the alley next to the Inn and you are immediately in the middle of the action on downtown Main St. I would highly recommend this place to anyone spending time in Annapolis. Very affordable, and worth every penny.

This place is cozy. We had a problem with plumbing in the room we originally booked, so the manager put us in a new room and gave us a discount before we'd even checked in. We stayed in the King George — beautiful views, fabulous tub and bed, and the coffee in the room was really good. The only downside I can think of is the stairs — and that's stretching. If you're disabled, book a room on the lower floor, as the King George is on the top floor. The staff is really friendly and full of great suggestions of things to do in Annapolis.

This is a great place to stay. I stayed here in order to attend the Marine Corps Ball in the beginning of November. It was a wonderful place to stay. A short walk to the center of the village and waterfront and just a lovely place to stay. Thanks Dan & Chris! I've invited friends to like your page. :)

Stayed here for one night at the end of March. Very large room. They let us drop our bags off early. Great location in the middle of everything. Parking garage was close. Would recommend for couple visit the city. Could do with some updating and cleaning but overall bed was comfortable and room was fine.

Wonderful rooms! Close to the waterfront, walk to just about anywhere downtown.
