I liked the hotel and think your staff are very helpful, but I am not sure about the guest below me. I heard him screaming that the microwave didn't work too well, that the TV channels were lacking, that the desk chair was uncomfortable, and that his room was hot. Yunz may want to check that out.

Not clean, and very poor customer service experience.

The hotel was nice much like all the HI Express' except our room overlooked a cemetery which was kind of creepy, especially at night when some of the grave sites were lit up with colored lights.

I highly reccomend this hotel. I've been able to stay here a few times. Hotel staff has never been so nice and friendly anywhere else. They leave the complimentary breakfast open late and I'm not a morning and usually miss out at other places. The rooms are great too. Very nice bedding and pillows and bathroom. There was a desk and a TV channel guide. They have a gym and laundry service I didn't have time to use. Once again I really surprised the staff was so happy and nice. They aren't overpriced but I would ussually have to find a cheaper place. My new job has great benefits including discounted hotel stays.

Great location. Quiet rooms. Great breakfast. Firm beds. Friendly folks. Enjoyed my stay.

The staff here really made my stay enjoyable. Everyone was nice, friendly, and helpful. In particular, Racheal, Myra, and Dion were AWESOME! Overall, the breakfasts were good, my room was comfortable, and the location was convenient. Very positive experience!

Mr. Jose Pintado was truly an Delight. Wow such an amazing personality, very Friendly, and he goes above and beyond expectations. I so would definitely stay here again. Keep up the great work. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great staff. Good breakfast. Rooms could be a tad bit bigger but it still works. Jose and all the crew up front are awesome. Dion at the breakfast bar was very customer service focused. Help me carry our food back to the room because my wife and kids were still in the bed. Close to everything we need. Will definitely use this hotel again.

Jose is the best example of customer service! He went above and beyond for me and the rest of the team of SAS workers. Which is so refreshing these days in general but even more appreciated after a terrible experience a different hotel chain.

After staying on several different occasions now, I can say this Holiday Inn Express does not meet my expectation the consistent quality I typically get with Holiday Inn. Issue's I've experienced after 6 stays: Ants: I left a pastry out on the desk in my room that did not require refrigeration overnight, in a typical pastry box, with the intention to eat it in the morning. The next morning, it was completely covered with small ants. I didn't make a big deal about it — the staff offered some points to my account. Toilet: The toilet flushing mechanism works inconsistently. I reported it, after attempting to resolve the issue myself. I either fixed the issue or it self-corrected. I notified the staff that it was no longer an issue. Dry Cleaning: The staff indicated that they could assist with same-day dry cleaning services when I asked at check-in, which would save me the headache of coordinating it myself. I picked up my dry cleaning when I returned later in the evening. I didn't inspect my items (which I should have). The next morning, when I needed the clothes, I had the two suits, and none of the other clothes I needed for the day. The staff couldn't locate the clothes for about 45 minutes (I had already left with the previous days shirt). They offered 5000 points for the trouble.

Great service and staff. Rooms were clean and have a fridge and microwave. Breakfast included.

Very nice and clean hotel. Convenient to lots of shops and food. Price wasn't terrible either.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Hot breakfast, great omelets and cinnamon rolls. Bed was comfortable on the soft side. Yes, the bathrooms are tiny, probably would be difficult for bathing young children since opening the door requires a little wiggling around it and the toilet. It was fine for my husband and I (We're both under 5'10" and on the thin side). The cemetery other reviews mention — there's a wood fence blocking the view of it from the hotel. It's not like they're going to be loud or something. Huge mall next door with whole foods etc. The key cards were a little glitchy but rub the card on your jeans first and it does the trick. Jose Pintado and the staff at Holiday Day Inn Express in Annapolis Maryland are super awesome. I felt at home from the time I walked in to the time I left. Professional and friendly staff, clean environment, great breakfast, family friendly. I give then 10 stars.

Spent a week here with my wife. On the downside the hallway was dirty for three days and was only rectified when we made mention of it. One day we were out until dinner and returned to see no housekeeping was completed. Everything else was positive. Breakfast is good and there was plenty of it, coffee 24/7, a great deal of information from the Front Desk and a very friendly staff. Shopping and restaurants walking distance and a few minutes away.

The room was clean, and the guy at the front desk was polite. I didn't eat breakfast, but from what I did experience, my stay was perfectly fine.

Clean and updated hotel close to plenty of restaurants and shopping. Only two complaints. First and most important, sound travelled too much between our room and the adjacent one. We could clearly hear the TV along with talking and coughing making our stay less than ideal. Second and less important, the road configuration for entering and exiting the hotel parking is such that you have to do a fair bit of u-turns or driving around the "block" to get into the parking lot. Not a huge issue, but something to be aware of. They are in the process of updating right now so perhaps the sound insulation will improve in the future. All told I would stay there again though I would request a room away from other guests if available.

While one of the staff was a total boob, it was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in.

This hotel was the most friendly and accomadating hotel I have stayed at in Annapolis. The staff was professional and very helpful. Jose and Shawn are an asset to this business. They helped me feel more at ease on my business trip. They helped with taxi servicw and firections around Annapolis. The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. I will stay here on my next business trip.

Highly disappointed in this hotel. Stayed here last weekend and was guaranteed a room with a Jacuzzi tub and was let down when my room did not meet nearly the only preference I had. The staff was understanding, but not very helpful. Other than that, the hotel was good!

It's loud, not super clean and a terrible breakfast. But, a nice staff and a very good location.

Conveniently located hotel near restaurants and shopping. Rooms are clean and the staff is very polite. Breakfast in the morning is the typical Holiday Inn Express breakfast. But very well appreciated.

Staff is very friendly, prompt, and helpful. Our room had an odd smell, but looked clean and was comfortable.

Rooms are fairly clean, has a very basic gym with just a few machines and weights, comp breakfast.

Very nice keurig coffee maker and lg TV. The bathroom had surprisingly nice towels and the rooms seemed to have been recently remodeled with a nice mirror and lights. There were also a large amount of power outlets both on a lamp at the desk and near the two beds (slept in a two queen bed room) The Ac was also fine but we came in July and the heat was on but it was easy to change. The continental breakfast also included juice, eggs, bacon, sausages, carton milk, cerel, bagels, and chobani yogurt which was great. There was also a nice fitness center although I didn't get a chance to use it. It was a great experience considering the numerous motels I've been to and the staff was genuinely nice. Someone in my family actually knocked on the wrong door because we had two rooms and the person from the room notified the front desk instead of opening it. When the staff came over we apologized and they were very nice and said it was fine. Very clean and positive experience.

HIE is quite alright. The staff are friendly, it's in a great location and the free breakfast is certainly nice. Unfortunately, one of our rooms had a wierd smell and both rooms' doors had trouble closing fully. They could be easily opened from the outside if the extra effort to pull/push the door shut wasn't made. Otherwise, an overall nice experience.

It's small clean place with courteous staff. It's convenient to shopping and easy access to DC and Baltimore. Its not very convenient for tourists to see Annapolis historic district or water front. Plain, but a good value.

The guy David, Dustin I forget his name. But he's always there when I get off work at 6/7pm. We are out of town staying and he's the best employee I have ever seen at a hotel. He deserves a raise just because of him if I ever want to come here for vacation I would be sure to come back and tell others the same.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. The staff is always nice and professional. Prompt to fix any issues. There is coffee 24/7 in the breakfast area, which is nice when you are checking late. I stay here all the time.

We spent three nights and the house keeping was terrible. Three nights in a row the front desk was informed there was left over food in the refrigerator. When we left it was still there. The ice bucket was not cleaned. The coffee pot was not cleaned. The bathroom sink drain could not be opened. The used towel was folded and put back. We will be making many more trips back to Annapolis but not to this facility.

Very clean, and orderly. Staff is extremely helpful and cordial. Handicapped room could be more compliant, but it is not outside of the requirements, and better than many other hotels, so I will give 5 stars because the staff are willing to go that extra mile, which makes up fro any difficulty. Only downside is they do not have room service, but you can get a microwave so if you want to get food from the many restaurants around here; you can bring back leftovers and heat it up.

I had a very comfortable stay. I was assisted in the morning by a very kind and helpful employee Al Mullen, who took care of the concerns that were not addressed at check in. He is definitely an asset to this location. I returned to this location and had trouble sleeping and was given warm milk to help me rest, now that's hospitality at it's best, Thanks to Al Mullen once again I also want to mention the rapid response to my concerns about the corporate rate discrepancy, of which was taken care of promptly by Mr. Rowe. What a great team at Holiday Inn Express Riva Rd. Annapolis!

What a great value. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Nice full breakfast. Comfortable beds, and clean bathrooms. Good little gym. Easy walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, the mall. The staff here is great — friendly and enthusiastic. Plus, the price is very low. I would have paid $50 more a night and been very happy.

Al Mullen (supervisor) was wonderful! He accommodated me and my kids needs which made for a comfortable and stress free stay. He went above and beyond by helping me late Saturday night around 11 pm when I was in the area and my car broke down near a gas station by the hotel. After our stay I realized my son left his favorite stuffed animal after calling the hotel Al took a picture of the toy and sent it to me so my son would know it was safe. Al offered to send the stuffed animal free of charge making my son very happy! I will definitely be returning when in the area after my experience.

Spotless and quick no-hassle check in the day after thanksgiving. Will return. Do recommend. No cons to speak of so far. Tis bit pricy, but you get what you pay for. Plus the fish tank is fun to ogle at. Edit: so. I walked into a Holiday Inn lobby to see about getting a hold taken off my card this morning after my stay there few weeks back and it was one of the nicer ones with a free breakfast. So naturally many people were gathered around the coffee bar or seated at tables talking. As I entered, a man wearing a white cowboy hat glared at me from across the room. I, of course, ignored him as he clearly had his chest stuck out in typical macho-man fashion; not the type of chap I deal with prior to my morning cigarette. At any rate, I approached the counter, where I had a perfectly nice conversation with the hotel clerk; who was a younger, attractive lady of about my age. She had perfectly straightened brown hair, glasses and sharp eyes. She imediately noted the black bandana around my neck and Greatful Dead pin on my lapel. Her demeanor shifted when I spoke to her kindly. When she asked if I raved or did music, we started chatting as she ran my information.

Excellent room, fantastic customer service, greeted with a smile. I stay here whenever I come back to Annapolis… its the best. So comfortable, so friendly. I want to acknowledge Al Mullen. The best customer service I've seen in a long time. Great sense of humor and very acccommodating. I'll be back!
