Friendly staff. Rooms are clean. Breakfast of pancakes, waffles, cereal, toast, english muffin or bagels, fresh coffee. Location is convenient.

Dirty and gross. Bad smell, loud, not worth the $150/night.

If you want to experience the best part of montana with the greatest people on the planet, go to the Sandman hotel and meet the Hill's "the owners". It's an amazing place and super clean rooms. I've been going up there every year for 15 years and always can't wait to go back!

We recently stayed at the Sandman Motel and were very happy with our choice. The rooms were very clean and the owner was very friendly. We had joked with him about the sun coming though one of the windows when the sun came up in the morning. When we came back later in the day the window was covered with a picture of a sunrise! We thought this was hilarious and a great special touch that shows just how attentive they are to their guests! I will definitely choose to stay here again should I make it back to Libby!

Very nice and clean rooms. Comfortable beds nice hot powerful shower. A bit pricey but overall a nice place.

We stayed in a pet friendly room. It was really clean, but dark and sparse. Although it did have a microwave and minifridge. They had a nice non fenced dog walking area and exterior outlets to plug in your diesel truck in the cold weather.

It was a great motel lovely owners; however my room did not have a landline phone in it!

The motel was directly off of highway 2 running through Libby. Given the proximity to the highway the room was surprisingly quiet. Besides quiet, the room was quite clean, simple, and the mattresses very comfortable. Before checking in the staff had already brought us the cot that we had requested, and were punctual regarding the maintenance of the room. The price per night was reasonable, and the staff were very nice folks.

So this is an awesome example of a "hidden gem". This small town, family owned hideaway is by far the best place around to rest your weary bones. Clean rooms with comfortable bedding, priced very conservatively, and the owners are honest, hard-working, and as down to earth as they come. Should you find yourself in the area and in need of lodging, don't make the mistake of overlooking the Sandman. -Happy Travels-

Nice clean rooms. Access to a BBQ is nice since local store is close by one can cook your own meals. Dog friendly is great. Awoken by upstairs patrons both nights. No central area to eat breakfast, you have to take food back to your room with multiple trips. Location of table in room is poor, blocks pathway through room. Microwave is nice but mine was a very old model that was low power, water and popcorn is about it.

Rooms were dated, but clean and have new beds and flooring. The teal bathroom needs an update but was functional. Breakfast was very sparse. Overall we were pleased and would stay again.

Nice hotel in a small town. Near Kootenai Falls which are spectacular.

Small business oriented. Friendly owner. Great logo. Let's you know the owner is from Australia. Kangaroos are the theme all around the property in sculpture form & wood cutouts along the fence. Clean rooms. Wood floors.

I had a horrible experience at this motel. The service was absolutely ridiculous the room was nasty there was hair everywhere and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. It had a bad smell and for the ridiculous price it Its not worth the stay at all. You would think for someone who has expensive prices and is very rude you would think their prices might make up where the rest of the service lacks. But no I don't recomend going anywhere near any of these branches.

Extremely friendly and very accomodating! Nice rooms that are very clean. Very peacefull atmosphere despite being in the middle of town. We will definitely stay here again!

I have not stayed at the Sandman, and will not be staying there in the future. I recently made a confirmed reservation for a busy weekend (the STOKR bike ride in early May). 6 days after I made my reservation, the manager, Derek left me a voicemail message that my reservation would not be honored because they are fully booked for that weekend. When I called back and spoke to the manager, I found his attitude unprofessional, particularly since he blamed the mistake on his employee and did not take responsibility himself. His attitude could best be described as "disinterested" which does not bode well for actual hotel guests who might have special needs or complaints. I would recommend that Libby visitors avoid the Sandman, because there are several other motels in town where I know that the staff are reliable and professional. In particular, I have experience with the Venture Inn and the Huckleberry House bed and breakfast, which were good and excellent respectively. The Sandman is not worth the risk. (Note that I have no personal experience with the motel's "Facilities", but Google requires that I select a rating under every heading. I stand by my "poor" ratings under "Quality" and "Service" which are based on my personal experience with this motel).
