JUST A PSA Best Western Parkside Inn is a horrible business! I made a reservation, in case we lose power so I had a place to take my kids. These people just called me and said they can’t reserve to me because I’m a local. And because I made it a day ago “it can’t be due to power issues” and told me they were canceling my reservation and I wasn’t allowed to stay there with my kids and that I’d have to travel to a different place. So I wouldn’t do business with them.

Horrible people. Turned my kids and I away when I reserved a room because of the snow storm!

Very nice will stay here again.

Very disappointed in this hotel. Not only was the front desk clerk rude & disrespectful, they do not rent to veterans with local identification.

We just needed a clean place to lay our heads for the night. Very friendly and helpful front desk service. Clean and comfortable beds. Would recommend and stay again.

My husband and I travel frequently from Illinois to WV. We always stay here because this our favorite hotels! We love the fresh baked cookies at check in and the plentiful breakfast in the morning.

Within 4 hours of checking in, one of our rooms was SWARMED with what appeared to be termites. A HUGE pile of them appeared out of nowhere, on the carpet, the walls, and they were even on the beds. These bugs embedded themselves back into the carpet! I repeat, THE BUGS ARE IN THE CARPET! I am completely disgusted and mortified for our guests! When I called the front desk, they brought a can of bug spray to “clean up”. I immediately checked out and never even received an apology.

Very nice hotel. If it's recently remodeled, they did it right because there are no signs of an old motel underneath that I saw. Room was perfectly clean. Bed was comfortable and sheets were soft. Noise is definitely a distraction with the roads right in front. I would not recommend parking here with a large trailer. There is some room to park large vehicles in back but not a lot of space to get back there if the parking spots in the ends are occupied.

Room was clean, employees were very helpful and polite. Would recommend anyone in Frankfort, Ky. Area stay you will not be disappointed.

There is restaurant to eat near, and room is beautiful and is very good.

Clean hotel with a solid breakfast. Stayed here after our Buffalo Trace tour. Looks like updates have happened recently and the indoor/outdoor pool is a cool idea. Didn't get a chance to enjoy it though.

Very nice hotel. Great breakfast room, helpful staff, and a quiet clean room. The design of the hotel is attractive. It is a white building situated on a small hillside built to fit right in with the architecture of area horse farms.

Best Western Parkside Inn is a great place to stay. I award them only three stars because they no longer allow pets. My large family has a reunion at Frankfort, KY. Every year in early August. The Best Western Parkside Inn has been the motel of choice for the family for over 25 years. We had our 55th reunion a few days ago. Different branches of the family travel from various locations within the United States. My branch drives in from Louisiana. For the last 2 years my family has stayed at The Bluegrass Inn just up the road because our dog is no longer welcome there. For a lot of people the family dog is a member of the family, as is my own. I would pay a fee for the privilege of having my dog in the room with me, as I do at other motels. I hope that the mangement or owners of The Best Western Parkside Inn at Frankfort, KY. Change their policy regarding pets so that we may once again have our pets there with us. I do hope to be staying there next summer.

We had the suite room 250. The A. C, was crappy. The pool was dirty but the breakfast was pretty good condition that we left…
Wifi was on point, ask Remy… lol.

It appeared to be newly renovated driving up and our check-in took less than 5 minutes. We took the stairs to our room and my wife instantly noticed how clean the stairs were and how good it smelled. The room was just as clean and it definitely had been recently renovated. The shower had great water pressure, the a/c worked great and it was overall a great experience. The only negative was the television. It was quite small compared to all other hotels we've stayed at and the quality of the channels was awful.

Spent one of my most stressful weeks of my life in a room like this! But it was wonderful! Nice desk to study my State Certification Course on! Very comfortable bed to lay my head on for about Two/ three hours a night. Great Buffet Breakfast! Very tasty! Super nice staff! Ten minutes from everything I needed, by the way wasn’t much, but it was there! I’m going back when I can enjoy it more! Try it! You’ll like it!

The staff was very helpful and the room was excellent. On the way out, the printer was down, but Curtis was very helpful and made sure to email me my receipt. They even had a nice little military discount. 5 Stars!

The service was great. The person at the desk presented us with a gift bag and called later to make sure we found our room. The hotel was beautiful. Lovely Kentucky style.

This was a very nice hotel. The staff was very courteous and friendly and the room was very nice and clean. Also, it was in a great location for access on and off of the Interstate.

Great Hotel, great location. Was very pleased with the room. It was very clean, beds were comfy, breakfast was great.

Overall experience was good. They had a wonderful breakfast. The rooms were clean and the pool was nice and well kept. The only negative was the beds were very uncomfortable. I had to use pillows to sleep on and the kids and my husband also complained about how hard the mattresses were. They need to be replaced with quality mattresses.

Room is nice, big and clean. People are super nice and helpful. Parking was a little thin at check in because there were lots of construction vehicles but they were gone by the weekend. Really nice place.

Nice hotel, good location from Louisville, great breakfast. Trouble with refrigerator and TV cable plug. The pool was nice as well.

WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF IT WERE POSSIBLE! My son wanted to stay in a hotel and swim in their pool on his 10th birthday. We live here in Frankfort so my wife booked a room at the Best Western through Expedia. She called today to make sure it was ok to have a couple of friends come by to swim and was informed that our reservation had been cancelled because we live locally and they don't rent to locals. To make matters worse, they weren't going to even call to tell us, they were going to wait until we got there to check in to tell us. Needless to say, I will NEVER consider a Best Western, locally or anywhere else!

Staff was wonderful very polite and helpfuel, room very clean, shower was not the greatest water kept switching from hot to cold during showers and the beds need to be upgraded. Breakfast was awesome.

Always happy with Best Western hotels. Only a couple bumps. Pool could of been a bit cleaner. And bring indoor pool. Expected it to warm. But it was cold. At other locations. There are 2 waffle machines. Only 1 making a very long wait to make one. A lot of empty areas of food. Example. No fresh fruit. Had to ask. No whip cream. Hard boiled eggs. But young lady was fast in our request on items needed. Thank you.

I visit this location once a year or so, and it always seems to be well run, this a friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is adequate. It is well located for the main places I have to be in Frankfort, and I recommend it to anyone who wishes to place to stay in the state capital of Kentucky.

I wasn't expecting the Ritz, but I was disappointed in some little things that could've easily been done better. I checked into a room with a King bed. The bed only had 2 standard sized pillows, one firm and one soft. I travel a lot and 4 tends to be standard, but not a deal breaker because I was alone so 2 was adequate. Taking the sheets off, I could see that the mattress sheet looked wrinkled in the middle as if someone had slept there and the sheet wasn't changed. It didn't look dirty, but it did look odd. Soap was left out at the sink and in the shower from the previous guest. I opened the shower curtain and a used hand towel fell out. Bed was springy. Carpet was old. They did update counters (granite) and had flat screen TVs, but they have those crappy sanitized remotes so I couldn't fix poor aspect ratios on some channels. They give you earplugs because of noise (interstate and train tracks), but I couldn't hear either that much.

Wonderful service and staff! Hotel is very clean and up to date. The bed was very comfortable and the size of the room was nice too. I will be traveling to Frankfort in April for another meeting, and will definitely be staying here.

Overall a good stay at the Best Western. The room was clean and cleaned every day of my stay. It was conveniently located next to I-64. The staff was always friendly and the breakfast was good.

We were really impressed with this hotel. We don't typically stay in a Best Western, but we're glad we did. We received a free upgrade to a ginormous suite … enough space for one heck of a slumber party. The wet bar spanned a full wall. So it could be one heck of a grown-up party space. ;) The breakfast buffet was better than most with a bunch of extra touches. Instead of just waffles, they also had whipped cream, raspberry sauce, and toppings, including colored sprinkles. …Instead of just milk, they also had almond milk and soy milk. The fresh fruit was abundant, biscuits were fluffy, eggs were not runny (that's my husband's contribution). And nothing ran out; too often at other hotels we find ourselves hovering, waiting for gravy or biscuits, which often arrive at different times. The entrance area was very impressive for an inexpensive hotel. Though we didn't use it, we noticed the pool area was very nice with lots of tables and chairs. We didn't wander elsewhere. The bed was very comfortable and room temp was steady without our having to tinker with a thermostat. The only two negatives were the pooling of water during a shower and some neighboring noise — — the suite's living area was adjacent to a "public" restroom. The hotel sits aside a highway, but I personally enjoyed the hum … with memories of growing up right by the Indiana toll road.

Staff are nice and included breakfast is decent. Rooms are clean and easily accessed. For a lower price I'd add another star, but this rating is based on the cost.

Bed bugs! Was laying in my bed and a bed bug crawled across my bed. Was truly a bed bug and immediately went to front desk with a picture. They gave us a room on the other side of property and comped us for the weekend. They were super nice and very concerned. I stay here quite a few times a year and have never had issues. It is Always clean and well kept. I just hope management takes care of this issue ASAP as this is a huge problem and I’m quite freaked out and would like to keep staying here in the future.

Nice room with fridge and microwave. Nice shower head and good water pressure. Great noon checkout allowed for morning activities and a shower before leaving. Would stay again.

A clean and comfortable room serviced by friendly and helpful staff. Convenient on/off access to I-64. Convenient to many restaurants and shopping centers. Highly recommended.

Awesome staff and great hot breakfast. Pool was amazing and we were only there a few hours to get off the road and get some rest before going on to our destination in Myrtle Beach. Everyone treated us well.

I will say this place was clean and nice. The mattresses are a whole different story. First of all they are tiny, barely even full size. They were the most uncomfortable matresses. I have slept on matresses that were sold out of a back of a truck for a 100 bucks that were more comfortable. We were on our way through and just stopped for the night. There would be no way we could have endured 2 nights. My 15 year old son ended up sleeping on the floor because the carpet was softer. If you are looking for a good night's sleep this is not going to be it.

Rooms were clean, staff was helpful and polite. Not fancy, but acceptable for our needs. Lobby was clean, and we were offered fresh baked cookies in the evening. Breakfast was acceptable, there was something for everyone, nothing fancy.

Came in to town very late and exhausted and was greeted by smiles on friendly people. Room are spacious and very clean. The beds were firm but comfortable. Breakfast offered good options from biscuits and gravy, make your own waffles, yogurt, cereal and baked goods like bagels. If you're in the area to visit the Buffalo Trace Distillery, I would highly recommend staying at this Best Western.

We checked in for soccer tournament for the weekend. We had my mom with us in which she wanted her own room. The staff made sure my mom's room was close to ours. They were very pleasant and accommodating. When we got in our room we had the king suite the room with the pull out couch the air conditioner went out the second day. I notified the front desk and they had the maintenance man come up immediately and check it. The air conditioner was replaced while we were at the soccer game and when we got back the room was cool. We could have stayed closer to the soccer field but this hotel has always gone above and beyond to accommodate us and they did just that this time as well! Keep working as a team because you all did amazing! The rooms were very clean and the breakfast area was always stocked. Thank you for all of your hard work to keep this place looking good!

Stopped here spontaneously on our 16 hour drive just to sleep for the night. It was super clean and quiet. The pillows were a little flat but the beds were fairly comfortable and the room was huge. Breakfast was hot and kept full. The pool looked cool even though we didn't stay long enough to use it. This motel definitely surpassed my expectations.

I would rate our 5 night stay 2 star based on following:
Friendliness and ability to communicate with staff, 1. Blonde girl at front desk super sweet, and evening turn front desk clerk great. No one else in hotel could speak a word of English, and knocking on my door daily at 7:30am to clean my room, only to NOT clean my while we are gone for an hour to breakfast is quite aggravating. Had to ask for towels daily and throw our dirties in hall. Out of 5 nights, our room was cleaned once.
Breakfast 3, food ok, but crowded and didn't refill pans.
Pool, 2. Neat concept, but full of bugs and hair masses.
room nice enough, but again never cleaned and the shower would switch from hot to ice cold in 30 second cycles, and I mean ice cold!
I think the major downfalls could be fixed with better management.

Thank you for a great experience! We loved the indoor/outdoor pool. We had a great time with the ice cream sandwiches. The breakfast was excellent for the price range. The hotel staff was very helpful!
