Three words, maple cinnamon waffles! The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The beds slept well. The breakfast was huge for a Super 8. The outdoor pool was an added bonus!

I visited this hotel a few years ago and I was not very impressed. This visit is much better! The guy in front has been super nice and helpful. Hotel rooms were clean! Decent breakfast, Wi-Fi was pretty good too!

Rooms appeared clean at first. Then discover dirty wash cloth in bathroom shower.

Breakfast was horrible. The best thing was the toast and tha t wouldn't even good. Found a grape stem behind the side table. Jade a microwave but there was no were to plug it in. I had to sit it on the table and use one of the plugs made into the lamp.

Fairly clean, shower water pressure was weak. Bed is hard in a comfortable way.

Happy with the remodeled surroundings. Suggest leaving more than 1 each bath towels. Hand towels too small for drying hair.

I will never be staying at this hotel again. Ihighly don't recommend it to anyone! Half the electrical outlets in my room didn't work, there was holes in the wall, the carpet had stains all over it, and the room smelled. The bathroom was dirty as well and it looked like it hadn't been clean in quite sometime. Not to mention, my room was put right next to the breakfast room so I could hear every thing going on. Being woken up at 6 due to people screaming and being loud was not my ideal morning. I was very unimpressed with this hotel.

Great rate for a clean room. The night shift clerk was a bit rude, but probably why she's on the night shift. The evening clerk wad very helpful. Would stay there again.

Luckily they lost our reservations. The gal at the front desk was very nice, but the smell was odd (not of her, of course, but of the motel) and unpleasant. It just didn't smell clean, if that makes any sense.

This place has gone down hill big time in the past couple years. We stayed here for work. One of my coworkers got a bunch of bug bites all over him on our last visit. Needless to say our company wont be using this motel in the future.

Stayed there two weekends before 4th of July and was very dissatisfied. We reserved a King suite and when we showed up, it wasn't a suite at all. It was just a king bed in a normal room, it smelled horrible of mildew upon arriving, and the floor was wet by the air conditioning. We asked to be moved rooms, and was put into a queen suite, which was actually a suite unlike the king. Still had a slight smell but nothing unbearable. However, it had a major ant problem, and a TON of dead ants around the window. Also, the shower was never cleaned from the previous stayers. Asked for some sort of relief on the price and only got $10 off, after taking a "decrease" in rooms, and still having issues. For the price, might as well go to Microtel or Appletree.

This motel has the best staff! The room is clean, there is plenty of parking, they are very responsive to your needs. Aside from the proximity to the pool area, where some guests were playing their music loud, we didn't have a problem. The management asked them to turn the radio down, and they did. We were pleased with this motel.

Room was clean but staff unfriendly. Not rude at all just all acted like they hated their life. Rooms were clean but very outdated.

Great desk people. Housekeeping tries. Bed bugs, ants, smells, ill working A/C system and more. Pictures don't even resemble the real hotel. I will NEVER NEVER goback to this Super 8.

Called to make reservations for 2 nights while being out of town for work. Desk clerk wasnt very eager to go out of his way to help me or answer my questions. Biggest deal breaker was when I asked if they had any rooms available he told me "he would check" put me on hold for 30 minutes! in the mean time I heard employees (clear as day) in the back ground swearing, laughing, and making rude an very unprofessional jokes an remarks. Was very dissatisfied with the experience. Then wouldn't answer after I hung up an tried to call back to speak with a manager.

Rooms weren't clean and smelled. No elevator.

It's OK, old and worn out. Price is cheap, desk clerk was friendly. But… two employees refused to go ask the teen basketball team upstairs to quiet down at 930 PM when asked.

We stayed a night with a group of people. We liked the friendly environment of the staff, the pool was fun and clean, spacious rooms. You can't beat the price in that busy location. Kids loved waffle maker, free morning breakfast, Wi-Fi not bad though. Don't miss Riverside park and free Zoo if you have time. It's a few minutes drive. I would like to thank new Owner Mr. Mannan and his manager for professional customer service and support.

Thanks to manager for going out of her way for us n letting my nephew swim. He is 13 rambunctious and getting bored after visiting family in the country and still had a lot of energy. Thanks to all at the supper8 staff and management ros where clean nice comfortable. And all where friendly n courteous. Good choice of cereals n waffles (fresh) made in waffle iron, orange juice coffee. Im glad it's not stail donuts like s places. Overal ratings out five stars I'd give 5+ 8-)

It might be fine if you're passing through for the night but if you are staying any length of time I'd recommend not staying here. There is a Microtel across the street I hear is decent. My non-smoking room is between two smoking rooms and smells awful. When confronted about it all the staff had to say was, "sorry. " Guest laundry is nice when it works. My load stopped half way through because the machine busted. Fortunately, the manager was actually quite helpful and fixed the problem promptly. The internet is fast when it works, but that's rarely Also, stay away from the breakfast. I don't know why you're in Independence, KS in the first place, but if you must — stay elsewhere.

Good place. A/C could not keep running at 101 degrees F. Desk maid found me a custom chair (crippled, hip shattered) and a room close to the door.
