I don’t have a whole lot of good things to mention about our stay here unfortunately. This may be a good place to stay if your just needing to stay one night and need somewhere cheap to stay. We got two rooms. The cable did not work in either of them, the shower didn’t work in one of them, and the rooms just really need a thorough cleaning. Just a few simple cleaning techniques and some new caulking would do the rooms some good. Don’t count on a delicious breakfast here either.

Price online was good breakfast bar very limited found some bugs in the room like a spider and a huge flying crawling insect rooms were pretty clean.

Great place to stay pool was nice, breakfast could of had a little bit more. It was great in the decent sized room and the air conditioner worked well.

This is a very well managed, clean, and inexpensive hotel. I was impressed, especially with the staff!

We have stayed here numerous times and have always enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very clean and the hospitality by owner and staff are amazing. We have stayed at other hotels in Chanute but to us this is by far the best. Mark and Becky Zeller.

When I arrived I was given a room that was not made from the night before. When I got my new room I asked for anbaggage cart and directions to the elevator. I was informed that they did not have either. After making multiple trips to the room, I finally settled in. The first thing I noticed was that one of the two beds was severely caved to the center. When I took a shower, the faucet stop did not work so there was very little pressure. The breakfast was sparse and the bread and bagels were stale. The coffee was luke warm and the fruit was bruised and old. The hotel was fairly clean and I did sleep surprisingly well. For my needs, traveling for work, it was fine but when the Holiday Inn Express opens I will be taking my business there.

A group of family members stayed here for a funeral, and while the staff was helpful providing a room for getting together, the rooms are not clean — stained carpet and bed spreads. Light bulbs burned out, bathroom sink drains that won't open or close, guests have to pry the drains open. Signs are posted in the rooms informing guests the cost of everything in case they want to steal anything! As if anything in this place is worth taking! At check-in we informed them of a pet and requested a king room for more floor space. They happily gave us one by the back door so the pet could go in and out easily. We were informed of a $250 fine if the animal was brought into the lobby! At checkout we were charged $20 PER DAY for said pet, and told we were never supposed to be in that room, but the manager had reluctantly allowed it — WRONG. Sure hope the Holiday Inn Express opens soon!

I was asked for a $100 deposit for any damages that may happen… for 2 nights it would be $280… told the front desk clerk that that was outrageous and as I left he told me if I get the money then come back.

They had a great room. I found it on my GPS. They gave me dicount. Easy to find with GPS.

Average super 8 probably 1 of the best motels in town at least until Holiday Inn Express opens.

Even though we arrived later then we expected, the service was excellent. Thank you.

The room was nice, and the location is easy to find. The only negatives I had were the basic breakfast options and the thin walls.

Pets allowed. No bueno. People bring the worst pets to places like this. Yappy dogs. Bunch of jagaboos.

Recently remodeled and refreshed on the surface but once looked at more closely, major issues. Doors not installed correctly, appliances not installed properly or working at all, sink fixture broken and "unrepairable" according to the staff on duty (fixed it myself). General shoddy workmanship not done by professionals. Unkept linen and tattered curtains and towels. The list goes on Several people staying in other rooms reported similar issues. They were once the only game in town, but no longer. Do yourself a favor and save 30 bucks and stay across the street.

The location is near the district office I sometimes visit for work. Fast food and Walmart are nearby for convenience and the rooms are adequate for overnight stay.

The service and cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. The bed wasn't very comfortable hence the 4-star rating. Super 8 is still the best option for a place to stay in Chanute, KS.

Decent hotel, esp for a small town. The bed was very uncomfortable, but the service was great. It met expectations for a $50 something per night stay. I was impressed with the service. Very friendly and accommodating.

The room was very clean and keep nicely cool, the only problem was the lack of internet, as it had gone down. We requested extra pillows and got them in a timely manner. The room number was a bit conveluted, but we made our way. It was on a quiet road, close to other hotels. The swimming pool was outside and closed.

Wi-Fi not working. Management is aware and can't get it fixed. Stayed for four nights and two of the nights I went to my room only to have to go to the front desk because my room key had been deactivated. This had happened to other guests while I was there. Two mornings I went down for breakfast about 830 am (breakfast was to be available until 9am) and they were out of wake mix. Beds are very very firm — I prefer a little softer bed to sleep in. I have to come back next week and am going to try and get into a different hotel.

Room was nice and staff were friendly.

First of all the front desk clerk was rude and very unhelpful with the check in process. It took over 20 minutes to complete the check-in supposedly because of shift change. Next we was suppose to get a queen bed, it was full-size. I know the difference. Then our hvac unit did not work. You could not adjust the coolness or hotness of the unit. The button right worked but the temp control on the left did not. The floor was dirty, had not been vacuumed from the previous guest and there was also cobwebs above the bed. I filed a complaint but the Asst. Manager basically called me a lier and was unwilling to make my unsatisfactory stay more tolerable. They said that we called the front desk about the HVAC isses and that the clerk came to the room to assist us which is a bold face lie. I have stayed at several hotels and this is by far the worst. The cleanliness and the customer service is by far the worse in the US. There is a hotel across the street from Super 8. Stay there.

This is another one of those lodging property owned by a foreigner who thinks they can come over here and Americans aren't going to care if the property is clean or taken care of. The guy at the front desk said they used to have an excellent manager here for years but she quit and the owners decided they could manage it themselves along with the many other properties they also own. Obviously that isn't working out for them. I stayed here one night and was disgusted. Floors hadn't been vacuumed in my room, carpets were stained, pillows smelled like hairspray and hairs in the sheets (obviously hadn't been washed! ). Bathroom was mildewed. A lady told me about the hotel downtown so switched my reservation after the first night and was very glad I did.

Ive recently been at super 8 in chanute and had a wonderful experience. It has always been the best experience and I was told it was the best hotel in chanute and have to agree. The other review that was made on here must be confused with a different motel because this one does not have an ozone machine at all in the building and I dont believe they ever have.

Was checked in by a woman who was evidently new. Couldn't figure out the computer and it took forever. This place hasn't had any money spent on it since it was built probably 15 years ago or so. Mauve everything. My room smelled like smoke so I went back to the front desk and the woman said she could put a ozone thing in my room and I said I wanted a different room. She said they were full but it didn't look like it. She put the noisy machine in there for awhile finally I put it out in the hall. Still smelled like smoke. When I went down for breakfast at 9 they were out of almost everything — even apple juice.
