There was a minor mistake with an order that I had made with TH for some saltwater flies. Once I realized the mistake and notified them of it, they were very quick to fix and offer great options for the resolution. I understand that mistakes happen, and it speaks volumes to me as to how one fixes them. TH will always have my business because of how they make sure to fix the mistake. Joe and Karlie get high marks from me because of this great customer service!

Awesome Guided Fly fishing Trip on Henrys Fork, Warm River to Ashton. Karly is an excellent skillful and passionate Guide. I highly recommend her. I would totally do this again!

Great dinner! The food was delicious. The service was fast and friendly. The scenery was beautiful. Everyone was so friendly. They were keeping everything very clean. No complaints!

Awesome food! French dip was the best ever. And then the staff … crazy helpful and charismatic! I wish I lived nearby to return often. But alas, I shall have to venture out again from WA state for a winter wonderland adventure.

So we are from Tampa, Fl and we came for Yellowstone and ended up at this fantastic lodge/restaurant, the Valhalla of Flyfishing. The food was excellent, the staff seriously excellent and the views are amazing. They jokingly referred to themselves as an “Alcoholic town with a serious Flyfishing problem”. Its a great town with very nice people.

The atmosphere was casual but classy. The staff was wonderful and provided excellent service. The food was OUTSTANDING! if we are ever in the area again, we will definitely go back. Heck we may go for breakfast tomorrow! it was that good.

The Chipotle Ranch breakfast wrap was awesome. The problem with this place is there’s literally no sign to indicate it’s a restaurant. It’s a nondescript building. I’ve passed by it dozens and dozens of times, wondering what it was. Always a bunch of trucks pulling fly fishing river boats parked in front of it.

Best guides, owners, lodging and fishing anywhere. Always a great experience and cannot wait to come back.

I hesitate to write this review simply because I want this place all to myself. Are you kidding me? World-class food, extremely friendly service and views that cannot be described. This is an amazing restaurant, with outstanding food (wow the halibut was awesome), and views second to none. This place is a hidden gem and not to be missed. I hope the owners keep this place as is. I travel the world and this place is highly memorable for me.

Wide open, vaulted ceiling, dining hall. Out door seating right on the river, absolutely beautiful place with amazing service. The Manu is right to the point, excellent!

This is on a beautiful location right next to the river. The establishment is great and the food is fantastic. I had one of their burgers with fries and it was delicious. I recommend the Bison burger if you are not sure what to order.

Food was good. Wife's steak was great, my bison burger was good, but it was missing the bacon that it should have had. This wouldn't have been a problem had the waitress come to us a single time after dropping off our food. Not once between when she dropped off the food and the 15 minutes after we finished our food did she even look at us, focused on the other tables it seemed. She passed by us for the table next to us several times, didn't even look our way. We sat there with our waters empty, and our meals finished for around 15 minutes before she finally approached us and asked if we wanted a check. Nothing more, nothing less, no sorry for completely ignoring is the entire time. So, again, we wait. Another 15-20 minutes for our check (this wasn't "customer time, " I had been watching the clock the whole time). Another waiter/busser asked if we wanted refills, which we declined, since she should be back with our check any minute now, right? Nope. We got fed up with waiting and went inside to get our check ourselves. We passed her on our way inside and she called for I think the hostess to cash us out for her. First time in years that we've stiffed someone (it was a ~$50 order and if the service was even OK we probably would have left at least 10 bucks). I don't know if we just don't look like wed tip (we're a little younger than most other patrons there), but to blatantly ignore your tables without apology is inexcusable. TL;DR food was very good, waitress was awful.

Outstanding food, service & view of the Snake River. We were staying in a nearby RV Park with plenty of food in our camp. But we had dinner there twice. Great place to meet the locals also, with their own fishing guide staff working out of the fly shop.

Ate lunch at the restaurant. Very friendly staff. Beautiful view of the river from the tables outside. The food was excellent — high quality for good prices. I had a chicken house salad and loved it! My husband's fish tacos and my boys' burgers (hand packed) looked awesome!

An excellent setting right on the river. There is a deck that faces the river which is very nice if there arent too many bugs out. I visit trout hunter regularly and every menu item I have tried is excellent.

Great breakfast and just what I needed at the fly shop. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Go here first then enjoy the fishing.

Bionic hot chicken wings were so meaty and delicious. The bison filet was very tender and grilled to medium rare perfection. And forget about the setting… Henry's Fork of the Snake River is stunning just feet from the sunny patio. The owners were on hand to make the night fun too. Thanks Jon, Jodi and Zeke Stiehl! Hope to get back and dip a line sometime soon! (Awesome fly shop on site. )

Amazing food! Had the duck and tenderloin and it was one of the best meals we have ever had! Not a long wait for such a high class meal!

Best Food in Island Park! Teton French Toast is to die for! Giant burgers! Homemade soups, awsome dinners and very tastey desserts.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting! We went during the winter season so it wasn't too busy. We were kindly and quickly greeted by our server. The beer taps were unfortunately down so no local brews but they usually have them. The portions were large and filling. Definitely a burger spot. Rest of the food is good but nothing compared to the burgers we ordered the special of the day which was the Jalapeño Popper Burger. Full of flavor and the mixture of the sweet and salty cream cheese and spiciness of the jalapeño. The Union Rings were crunchy and fresh. Be sure to get a window spot to see the swans and other birds in the river behind the restaurant.

Awesome place for breakfast! We always stop here for breakfast when we come to yellowstone every year. The portions are large and the food is excellent! I highly recommend them. Jimson family.

Wonderful food and service! We had 6 people in our group and ordered a variety of items off the menu — everything was delicious! Also, I have to thank the staff who were so kind to our son and daughter in law when they were employed there at one time. It was wonderful meeting and talking with them. We hope to visit again! (A few of us are from North Carolina and a few from South Korea, so not that close). Also, a few in our group have recently traveled through Europe and genuinely gave the compliment that the food here was the best they had tasted in their travels! Thanks again!

Their daily burger special is a great way to try new burgers and the burger pattys are huge and made to order.

My car broke down nearby and while waiting for repairs I lucked into a room at this great flyfishing lodge. Room was clean, comfy and had an amazing view of the river from a little patio. Restaurant was sending out nice meals that evening but was relaxed enough for my burger and beer at the bar. Good folks, good place — wish I could have stayed longer.

Great food, they were jam packed when we walked in and we still got served promptly. Ps: outstanding chicken wings.

This review is for the guided Fly fishing trip on Henry's Fork. Everything was very organized. After buying a day permit and my guide, Phil picking out a few flies for the trip, we were on our way. I wasn't sure what to expect from the trip since I am a novice fly fisherman. I parked my vehicle at the take out area and rode to the entry area with the guide. I enjoyed our float trip in the small boat powered by only oars and Phil. Wearing standard tennis shoes were sufficient for the boat. I knew I was with a good guide when he didn't hesitate to jump in the water to retrieve a lost oar. His knowledge of the river and knowing where to fish made for quite a successful day of catching a large number of fish! He was very patient with untangling lines and retying flys. He even paddled back upstream to try our luck again in a good area. I thoroughly enjoyed this trip and would highly recommend Phil as a great fishing guide!

Trout Hunter is a very special place for my family. My husband took both of our sons there on different occasions and my husband and I have enjoyed our many times there as well over the years.
Everyone is especially kind and helpful, which makes us want to go back each year.

Stopped in for lunch after the eclipse. Wonderful food. While walking out the house cleaning staff was gathered around the entrance to the restaurant making it hard to exit and three of them were smoking making a thick cloud of smoke. I started coughing due to an allergy to smoke and was told to "suck it". Lovely way to treat customers!

I am an avid fly fisherman living in Michigan and have dealt with many places before. Trout Hunter, by far, takes the cake for complete enjoyment of a trip. The fact that the lodge, shop, and restaurant are all in the same building was such a plus. The food was out of this world and the people that work there were sooooo pleasant and there was none of the pretension that typically runs in the fly fishing business. If you have the opportunity, by all means, give this place a go. I'm going back next year. BTW, get Phil as your guide.

These people are great. I got some great fishing info from the staff. They took their time to inform me about what section of the river to fish and how to fish it. I had a great experience and would recommend this flyshop to anyone.

Sadly, we went here for the trout but there was no trout on the menu. The halibut for the $26 was dry and flavorless. It was loud and average food at best. Not the best place for visiting or eating. Sorry, I had heard such good things.

Went to Trouthunter for dinner. The MOST AMAZING food I think I've ever had. I've been on many cruises and the food is incredible but this rivaled if not beat cruise dinners. Very beautifully plated. Friendly staff. Not fast food but most definitely worth a bit of a wait. The chef said they make everything in house except mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard. Incredible.

Trouthunter has had a special place in my heart since my first visit. They saved my fishing on the ranch on that occasion with good advice on flies, time to fish and tactics. They've done the same over the years since then. Even though I only get to do the trip across the atlantic every second or third year it still feels like coming home to see the river, Trouthunter and Last Chance. I now have my share of tales, some of them a bit tall, from that weird and wonderful place. Like running out on a perfect Hickory Burger in the bar when the gulls started diving on the river and we had a freak afternoon hatch of green drakes on a rainy day in June. I finished off that burger later after having some luck with the notorious Henry's Fork rainbows. Trouthunter has been there for me, a friendly place with the sort of attitude that makes me smile and my shoulders drop a bit more.

What a great place. I will highly recommend Trouthunter to my friends and family. Great accommodations, great food and world class fly shop and outfitter. Big shout out to our guide TJ. Had a great day on the Madison. Look forward to having him guide us again.
