Booked 2 rooms here to stay in the West Gate of Yellowstone for 1 night. Planned to eat at the restaurant that said it closed at 9pm. We checked in at 8 pm. Headed to the restaurant after unloading our bikes and washing up. Arrive at the restaurant at 8:35 and they have closed the restaurant! Even at check in they told us it closed at 9pm! No where else to eat near by and nothing to eat basically in the the store, fishing supply shack on site. If I was was fishing and staying here it might be a good spot. But if traveling And looking for just a place to stay. Would look elsewhere. View on the lake was beautiful and the people where friendly.

This was our second year staying here in the RV spaces. It is definitely in beautiful country and only about 20 minutes from the Yellowstone's West entrance. The cell service is good for Verizon. Their boat rentals are fairly priced, $110 for a half day, which was 5 hours. With the cost under $50 a night for full hookups this close to Yellowstone, we'll be back. The sites themselves are a bit uneven but not terrible. Stock up on supplies before coming as there isn't much around as far as groceries goes.

Beautiful place to stay right outside of West Yellowstone. Lots of stuff for kids to do on the property between the arcade and hot tub. Very great staff, restaurant and bar! Family friendly, highly clean restrooms and very warm showers!

We arrived latter then expected (11:00pm) and the girl at the front desk was very polite and helpful getting us into our room. We woke up to breathtaking scenery tucked into the mountains. The gentleman running the cafe for breakfast was very personable and very accommodating for picky eaters. The room was very charming with a rustic woodsy feel. Price was high but seemed to be that way at all the places we looked at. Overall great stay and will come again.

Slightly expensive. Although the setting of the place couldn't be better. It's a ranch so you get the rustic feel but it's between hills and a lake so a good place to stay at. A 30 min drive away from the West Yellowstone entrance.

Great view friendly staff… If you are looking for ample amenities this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a clean comfortable place to stay with breathtaking views of the mountains and Lake Henry this is the place. Great way to unwind. It's close to the West entrance to Yellowstone, where everything you would need is a short drive away.

Should be named Jethros wild ranch. When I arrived at 8:30pm to check in the place was dark. I had to walk around the trailers and property trying to find the owner. As a solo female I felt very unsafe. The owner was finally located around 9:30pm. The place is a dump. The only positive was the flock of pelicans on the lake. This may be great for cheap man caves wanting to fish, but the price should be about $60, not over $100. I've slept on cheap futons that were more comfortable. The people who work here are so accommodating and friendly! Lovely scenery.

Our family in 5 vehicles was on our way home from Montana and a storm closed the roads through Island Park. Luckily we found this place and called the owners. They came and plowed the road for us to get in. There were 10 adults and 19 children in our caravan and we all fit snug into the rental with 1 king sized bed and 10 full sized beds. A super positive adventure memory in what could have been a very bad situation :)

This is probably a great place if you are interested in fishing and boating. We were just passing through for the night. It is a very rustic place and there is no real parking lot — — you park in the dirt. The check in was a casual one inside the general store. The room was small but reasonably clean and comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked well. The main problem was the walls were very thin and the sound of the water running in the next room was inexplicably loud. It was tolerable for one night, but it wouldn't make for a relaxing lakeside vacation.

I have never stayed at the resort. But I often stay at a cabin nearby, and go to their convenience store quite often. They have a surprisingly well-stocked little store for when you realize you've forgotten something. The store is also a great place to buy flies and hear about how the fishing has been.

Great views, mostly friendly staff. Rv sites weren't spaced enough with grass overgrown. Bathrooms were horrible, and you had to pay for a shower. Overall not bad or good. Fourth of July firework display and music very nice.

We camped at the park for 4 months and learned they are in the process of making a ton of up grades to the park. Yes they need to tend to the landscaping more, but most of their efforts and money seem to be going into the buildings. Big plans are in the works and we think they will have a goldmine in a few years. Great location. Special appreciation to Isaac who helped us on numerous occasions, and a very hard worker. Tactical place to visit Yellowstone, very quiet.

Stayed in Mini 1. It is a 10 x 11 room, w/ coffee maker, TV w/ 4 channels, full bath. Very clean. This is tiny house extreme. Very cute and really liked it. Unfortunately the bed is absolutely horrible. My back has not felt this bad since I slept a fox hole during infantry training. Looking for an air mattress online.

Stayed three nights and the bathrooms were dirty and were not cleaned the whole time I was staying there. To take a shower you require quarters. $. 25 for two minutes. Also due to bathrooms not being cleaned there was no toilet paper so bring your own. At night you can hear elk and coyote in between the moderate traffic driving by all night. So if you don't mind a dirty bathroom, moderate traffic and having to pay for a shower then this is the place for you. For me, this is my one and only time I will stay.

We were really disappointed with our stay. The beds and pillows were horrible. One of the worst nights of sleep I've ever had. TV didn't work. Internet was spotty. Had kitchens in the room but no dishes to use. Gaps in door frame that let too much hallway light in room at night. Basically, I don't think anything has been updated in the room since the 1990s, including the towels. The room was clean and big. The property has beautiful views and lots of things to do.

So the ranch is nicely located and makes a nice impression, but the price performance is not appropriate and the "restaurant" is more of such a hoax.
Despite this criticism, the staff are very friendly and anxious.

Good setting, restaurant serves fine food.

Wifi won't work well, room is too cold, no normal parking lot, no microwave, or coffee machine, view is probably the best that this hotel had, but view not owned by hotel itself. So for all of that price is too much! Ah yes, you should arive before 9 o'clock.

I been coming here every summer for about 5 years. It has the best trout fishing anywhere in Idaho. Very large record size ones have been caught here. Great accommodations, clean rooms, with a very friendly staff. For fisherman that have a cleaning station right by the boat rental dock.

Awful. Misleading, overpriced, terrible food and service. Firstly, the room was incredibly overpriced, nearly $200 to stay in a basement, with an additional charge for ice! I've never heard of such a thing. Even though the place is supposedly famous for its trout fishery, the guy at the front desk had never heard of a trout! Unlike many places you have to have your own fishing license and gear. Threadbare towels (a total of 3 for a three-bed room) and filthy blankets, likely over two decades old. Carpet was filthy and covered in stains, with a thick, brown ring around the tub. Tub was so filthy my mother and I didn't even feel comfortable showering. T. V. Was placed in such a way that it couldn't be viewed from any bed. Fridge was inoperable and frozen over. View from our room was people's cars, and is so overcrowded we could barely get our car out. No roses, no ranch, no resort. We asked the proprietor why they call themselves a ranch, they said they USED to be. Avoid the awful excuse for a restaurant at all costs. The dinner menu consists of one item: Chicken Breast. They'll cook up a fish for you, if you catch it and clean it, and for $15. They had one employee in the whole restaurant, she was the server, buser, cook, and also the maid. Wonderful girl, but couldn't honestly be expected to do all that well for peanuts. Furthermore, she said their shipment of meat was over a month old. The burger I ordered (they did allow me to order off the lunch menu) was a hockey puck.

One star just for location. The roof was leaking, room is too small…

Pictures are old, staff was rude to my son. Called to make reservations they didn't get it right. Asked for pet room then they put us in another non pet room, screamed and yelled tried to charge us the penalty of $200.

This is the most awesome place. Really incredible scenery. Clean room. The staff is so cool, they were great. If they can make it happen it does. Friendly and happy. I had to go back the second time to get some fishing in. I caught a nice cut throat. They offered to cook it in the restaurant so the day was the best stay ever.

My wife and I absolutely love this place. It's nestled in the most gorgeous stretch of wild country, and is very rustic. It has all the basics you'll need, and the staff is quick to help. I haven't seen another place like it in that area, and I've loved every time I've been there.

This place was awesome had the time of my life. Fishing was amazing caught alot of fish the staff was great very helpful and kind and extremely friendly I'm all ready making plans for next year.

This was perhaps the worse experience I've ever had with lodging. I stayed in one of the "Plex" rooms, and about the only thing I can say good about it was that it appeared clean. A little short of a C note bought a tiny room in the basement with one window (in a well), a toilet and a bathtub. The room was barely big enough for the king sized bed and the TV (which had a pitiful selection of channels). Parking was both inadequate, and badly marked, the management was hardly what I would call friendly, although the old mattress set leaning against the front windows of the office did give a nice "white trash" sort of welcome. It took us two trips around the entire complex (and then asking one of the janitorial staff) to even FIND the office. A short list of things which were missing from this room, which I tend to expect from even cheap motels included: A clock, Kleenex, Microwave / Mini-Fridge / Coffeepot, Deadbolt or Safety Chain on the door, Accessibility to Ice (they claimed to sell ice but the only bag in stock seemed to have been there since roughly the last ice age, and let's not even get into the non-existent continental breakfast (which is pretty standard in this day in age) The drip coffee MIGHT have been complementary, I didn't bother to ask, the tea, hot chocolate and cappuccino machine certainly weren't. The hot tub did work (thank goodness), but I don't even want to think about the last time they changed the water.

We recently stayed at the Wild Rose as a jumping off point to West Yellowstone with a fairly large group of people. We had three spots. It took us about 20 minutes to travel to Yellowstone from here. It is nice because it is a bit off the beaten path. We had more kids than adults and the kids loved the swings and playing down by Henry's lake. We decided to leave a day early and the staff we more than accommodating for us to leave early even at the lose of some income. The staff was helpful from the beginning.

I recently discovered this beautiful resort and it feels just like home! The help is terrific and even their new employees were helpful and picking up the work quickly! The rooms are great and the area is beautiful! Keep up the great work Wild Rose.
