Visited Keefer's Island Restaurant inside Shilo Inns. Food is incredible, service and management is surprisingly bad. Not that they're rude or anything, but during one visit our waitress had to get us change from her own purse. That's just how poor the management is. During the recent visit they had this elegant restaurant inside, but we're blasting the most terrible live country music right outside the window. Sung by a guy that couldn't sing more than one note. Totally monotone. Sound balance was totally nonsensical, the bass was drowning everything else too. Not that the music was appropriate anyway, even if properly balanced. We're always the only ones there. It feels kinda creepy being totally alone. Again though, the food is actually great, I really want that place to succeed believe it or not. Maybe if a professional takes the helm someday, it'll be popular.

The rooms were nice and spacious. Good location near the airport as well. They will pick you up at the airport, too.

The reception area may seem dark but the receptinists were helpful and kind girls. My room was bigger than my expectations, the food service was great and my bed sheets were so clean that I did not have anything itchy on my body the next couple of mornings. The hotel is built on a convinient place has a back door to go out for a walk and see the water falls. I had a great time in Idaho!

Had SUCH a fun time bringing the kids here! So kid friendly, especially getting a room on the first floor with access to the grassy area outside your own sliding glass door and a GORGEOUS river and temple view! A family of geese were frequent visitors to our back porch and we were a couple doors down from the very nice indoor pool and spa! The sauna wasn't working and we called and someone cane and fixed it right away! The only reason I didn't give five stars is because of the breakfast. The buffet is very low quality with few healthy options. I'm used to Holiday Inn express kind of breakfast quality and this was not even half as good. We will be back though. Nice room with kitchenette area.

The staff was absolutely amazing! The staff went way out of their way to make sure we had an awesome visit. The location was just incredible.

Spacious rooms, indoor pool and jacuzzi. Great place to stay. Will definitely be going back when were in idaho again.

Went to the Tuesday trivia night and had a good time. The food and drinks were good and the event was fun. Would definitely go again.

I went for an event, the fly tying expo. There are usually more vendors. But this year there were more demonstrations of walking flies. But I still liked it.

A good value. It had all of the amenities and a great room. It was only a few dollars more than the cheap motels. Well worth the extra $7.00

Rooms were large and would have definitely paid more for what we got. Checkin was friendly and quick. Location on the river is perfect and definitely worthy of several pictures.

The shilo was an amazing experience. Everything from top to bottom was clean and the staff was amazing. I went to stay and eat there and both were just amazing. Bartenders and staff were the best parts of the stay! They know how to cheer someone up while at the bar.

Was in town for a funeral. The room was cold and the heater took a long time to heat it. The morning breakfast was really nothing to write home about. Actually, we couldn't finish it what we did get cause it was so bad. I was very disappointed that the hot tub was also out commission. I was very sad to see that for a Silo Inn it was very run down. The staff were great and very accommidating.

I stay at this particular Shilo on an almost weekly basis, so I am quite familiar with it. Other reviewers are correct to criticize the internet here. It isn't great. Ultimately, I end up relying exclusively on my cell's mobile data plan during my stay here. Additionally, some rooms are showing signs of wear and tear and would benefit from some TLC. However, the friendliness and care of the staff here really help it to feel like a home away from home. Particularly Sharon in the evenings and Christina and Ariana in the mornings at the front desk :) I always look forward to my stay here when out of town on work!

Room was nice and clean and staff was friendly. Great pool and hot tub area. Very happy with our stay.

Indoor heated pool open 24/7. Nice facilities and clean rooms. Breakfast is amazing. All in all 9/10 experience at a reasonable cost.

HUGE fan of Shilo Inn! We have stayed in Idaho Falls a few times and honestly this is the best we've stayed at for the value! Pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, nice gym, laundry room, great breakfast, and best of all giant guest rooms! What would have been a boring night at a normal hotel ended up being a really relaxing, fun night thanks to all the great amenities at Shilo!

Nice, large, clean, king bedroom with couch, table, iron, microwave, mini fridge, and 40' TV. Room smells nice. Friendly staff. Nice lounge with pool table and darts. *Beer selection could be better. Good free breakfast (not the best). Pool and spa was closed for repairs until 12/19/17. : ($62. Can't beat it.

Our house keeper was so nice she cleaned our room very well and made sure we had everything we needed her name was rose. She was very sweet to and Christina she was working the front desk. She helped with all my questions and was very helpful. This is a great place and I am going to make this the number one place I stay at.

I have never stayed here. However they host great events! Good food, good drinks, good time.

Late to check in. Great room. If I would have known better would have gotten a room with river view. If you get breakfast go early. We went at 930am and most of it was gone or it was cold. Could have been our timing so benefit of the doubt. I would recommend this place to others.

The bar is dope. Small enough to get drinks super fast. Music wasn't too loud. Crowd was alright with nothing too crazy happening. A good place for a chill night of drinks and dancing. *side note: drinks are kinda pricey. Nothing too crazy, but I have been to cheaper places.

This hotel used to be nice. What happened? Wow, it was probably the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. It was incredibly dirty and smelly. The toilets in the lobby were all dirty, I mean poop and pee all over them. The floors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in ages. The balcony we paid extra for was "out of order", really I think it just wasn't safe anymore. The staff was all very nice. It's really too bad.

The hotel room was very spacious and bed comfortable. The hotel isn't new by any means so the overall cleanliness was only acceptable in my opinion and unfortunately also had a dank, stale air/ old smell. The breakfast buffet was ok/decent, but the older waitress was less polite than expected about ordering food. Overall decent experience although a bit overpriced for a simple one night stay.

Staff was kind. Bed comfortable. Card reader to my room failed they had to use computer to open the door the 3 times I left the room and came back that day. I feel like it could've been handled differently. Other than multiple trips to the front desk. The stay was good and the restaurant food was good. Great view as well.

I ate lunch there. Have a maximum power of good relaxed. You can talk and hear others. The food is not something special, this rich, but not something that I will miss.

Our room was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our air conditioner wasn't working initially, but was repaired quickly after notifying hotel staff. The pool area is nice and you can see the river from the windows. The only issue we had was with the laundry room. The four of us were on day 5 of a road trip, so we had 2 loads of laundry to do. Each machine costs $1.50 in quarters to use, but there's no change machine at all, so we had to walk to the front desk to get $6 in quarters. Additionally, even on the highest setting and not overloaded, the dryers only halfway dried our clothes. We had to go to a nearby laundromat to finish drying them, which put our road trip an hour off schedule.

Nice hotel. Excellent restaurant and free breakfast. Rooms were ok at best. TV didn't work properly.

The staff was extremely friendly and my room was very clean. I had an excellent room with a look over the water and an outdoor patio. The hotel was easy to find, the interior was easy to navigate, and the noise level was quiet. The hotel had a bar/lounge I didn't attend, but was nice to have the option, as well as a restaurant which served breakfast for me in the morning. I do wish they had a better selection for breakfast but it was fresh and hot with waitresses to fill my coffee. One of them is extremely gorgeous. They have a 24 hour pool and I can say I would stay here again. Keep an eye out for the redhead. You'll know.

It is obvious that the hotel management is working on updating the hotel rooms. I give our room a 4 star rating. Dog friendly hotel. It was great. However I gave you a 3 star overall due to: guest entrance on the out side of the building really is not a good reflection of "You are welcomed to our hotel". 1. The door mat is very, very old and tattered. I tripped on it when I entered. Toss it. Get another one that better represents the image you are trying to recovery. 2. The garden beds are not maintained. Weeds and grass growing in flower beds. Water sprinklers are shooting water all over cars. 3. Gravel from the decorative rocks on walkways. Tripping hazard. Really, get a broom. 4. Paint chipping on building, metal vents. 5. Hotel maintenance staff hanging mops on rails outside. Really. Want to add: you might thinks about blocking this area from the entrance with a real nice fence to conceal that area from guests view. 6. Flowers in giant pots at guest's entrance are so small it really looks ridiculous. Invest a few dollars here. The drip system on ground, not in pots. 7. Staff in morning dining area, very friendly and polite. 8. Clerk at morning shift should work on being friendlier. She didn't even smile when handing our meal tickets. Might encourage her to say, Hope you folks have a great day. Or, how was your stay with us. Or, let me know if there is anything I can assist you with while you are staying with us. 9. Rearrange furniture in lobby.

After we checked in and had settled into our room, the hotel checked another guest into our room. They were given a key to our room and only by hearing someone trying to open the door were we able to avoid a very embarrassing situation. We talked to the front desk, all that was said was " we are sorry about that", While they were working on somthing else. Nothing mentioned about how how to make it up for us or make our stay nicer. Not what I expect from a 120+ dollar per night place.

Hotel looks a little dated, however the rooms were big and still at a good standard. Great customer service, clean rooms. Breakfast could be better and include more than 1 drink. Otherwise my stay was good.

My sister got rufied at the bar inside the hotel. The bar staff saw the guy rufie my sister and are trying to cover it up. They lied to police about it happening and have been really shady about it. I'd give them zero stars if it were an option. We won't be back to this establishment. That's for god damn sure.

We attended an event in the convention center. It was nice. The room was clean and organized. Very spacious. The food was delicious, though portions were small. Overall it was very nice.

A great place to stay. Large rooms king-size bed wet bar. Stayed on the fourth floor facing the snake River with the balcony. Got the romantic package which included a dozen red roses bottle wine and some chocolate truffles. Front desk was wonderful especially Ben called ahead of time and got the romantic package and had emplace it all in the room before my girlfriend and I arrived. They give you breakfast vouchers so you can use in the restaurant the next morning great food definitely stay here again thank you Ben.

Rooms were Fantastic! It was so nice to walk into a clean room, that was up to date with the current trends. The rest of the hotel was pretty ghetto, however. I felt the whole time while staying I was going to hit my head on the ceiling. The hotel smelt like cigarettes, and was full of drunk people. I still had a great time and enjoyed my stay.
