Great location! Within distance to everything. Located smack in the middle of a lot of history. Valet will handle parking for you so no worries with that. Nice gym room to do a simple weight routine and lots of cardio equipment. The pool area needs work. Sauna was broken. Rooms were spacious and nice. Bed and pillows were very comfy. I enjoyed my stay and even a few friendly ghosts welcomed my visit. Hubby and I were here bringing in my 50th Birthday and the hospitality and love was the best! I jus love Savannah, GA.

Very good experience, Margie was very nice, she noticed it was my birthday and upgraded our room, and was very communicative with checking with us via text messages, and when I went down to get coffee this morning, there was another representative Marie, she was very nice and built rapport with me, thank you so much for welcoming us. She sent a goodie bag up to my room with a signed birthday card. I am already looking forward to my next vacation. I seen the reviews about the $30/day for valet parking, I just did a little more research and there is a parking deck on Montgomery St (Robert E. Robinson Parking Garage) it was $10, this is where we parked. I have nothing but good thing to say about this hotel.

Have only been here one day and night and the staff are awesome! Valet are very friendly and the front desk staff very helpful. We had only been here an hour when we received a text asking how are stay was going so far! I am very impressed with this establishment and will return for future stays.

Very good location! Just a couple blocks to the Telefair museums and popular Broughton street for lots of restaurants and shopping. Just about everything is a short walk. Our room was very clean, the staff at the front desk was welcoming and friendly, free cold water in the lobby was awesome after a hot day and the free breakfast was pretty good! Valet parking was the only minor issue — some valet staff were nice, some were not — worse of all they brought our car to us with a dead battery that they had to jump. They must have left a light on since it was a new car. But it didn't ruin anything. I would stay here again.

Doesn't even deserve one star! I will NEVER stay at this hotel or probably even another Marriott hotel EVER again. This stay was by far the worst stay I've ever experienced in my entire life. I don't even know where to begin. Day 1: We arrived at the hotel and had no problem checking in. We had two connecting rooms (2 queen bed suites). I paid for both rooms (3 night stay) upfront upon arrival. They advised I would have a $60 pending charge per room for the entire stay that will not go through if there are no incidentals. One of the rooms was not fully cleaned prior to our arrival. There was a glow stick on the ground, used napkin under the desk, macaroni on the floor, one of the condiments packets was opened and used, the sheets were dirty (visible spot on both bed sheets although the beds were made) and the shower seemed to be grimy. There was fresh towels, soap and new trash bags, but it seemed the room was only half-cleaned. We went to the front desk and told them about the room, asked for it to be re-cleaned and specifically new sheets. We told them we were leaving for dinner in about an hour and the room would be free then. The manager said "I'm sorry. That's embarrassing. We will get that cleaned for you. " After dinner, we get back to discover the room is STILL not fully clean. The macaroni and glow stick was cleaned up, but there was still the same dirty napkin on the floor, exact same spots on the sheets and the used condiments packet was still there.

I tried booking an event in their large meeting space. While the rates were very reasonable and the events coordinator was very pleasant, their service was far from it. After taking a tour of the space and confirming that it was available at my requested time, I emailed the coordinator, Venus, asking for paperwork so that I could formally and officially reserve the space for my event that was about 5 months away. I hadn't received a confirmation email in the week following my initial email. Relatively paranoid that the deal had fallen through, I called the number she provided me and left a message 2 or 3 times over the next few weeks without any call back or acknowledgement of my attempts to reach her. 3 weeks after my first email, I finally get an email asking to call. This time she picked up, and said that they would start making the paperwork for me to sign. I was a little annoyed that it would take that long for them to just tell me that they were about to start the paperwork (which I assume is the same for every event they plan? ) that I had asked for 3 weeks prior, but I decided to let it go. 3 weeks later I finally receive the documentation, but it is extremely bare bones and I am not provided with any instruction on what part of the paperwork is for me to fill out and what part I should leave blank. I sent an email asking very politely what areas I am to fill out several times over the next month before I decided to take my business elsewhere.

The hotel was beautiful and a great location. My 3 star rating was due to the shoddy room service. We stayed for a total of five days and only had our room attended to for two. We had to ask for new towels on multiple occasions. We spoke with the housekeepers twice about our room and we're reassured that it would be taken care of. But to no avail. The room remained untouched. The front desk was friendly. The breakfast was wonderful. But we will think twice when booking again due to the inattentive and absent housekeeping.

Decently priced. Hotel was clean. There were loud kids running up and down the hall screaming until midnight, but I also had a room right next to the elevator (unfortunately). Overall it was a good place to stay. It’s in walking distance of everything which was a major bonus! Walked to River Street multiple times. My biggest disappointment was the breakfast. I was hoping for a decent hotel breakfast. Hotel breakfast saves money on vacation! They had one pan of eggs and some greasy sausage.

Great hotel! Shoutout to Sierra for her extra efforts in getting our room arrangements completed. She was friendly and helpful and made our stay in Savannah so much more enjoyable. Valets were also courteous and helpful. Would gladly stay here again.

We stated on the second floor around the corner from the pool. The room was clean. The pool with the kids was a little small. The kids were picky and did not like the choices for breakfast. Everyone was friendly and all was clean.

Beautiful rooms, large bath area with separate toilet area. Very clean and well maintained. Fairly quiet and no noise from outside heard. Breakfast is very good and well stocked. Halls are clean and airconditioned.

Walking distance to everything. Very nice and clean. Fantastic staff that took my bags early and after checkout while I explored the city. And I have stayed at Marriott's country wide. Top experiences with hotels I have ever had.

Nice rooms. Ours had separate rooms for the toilet and shower, with a nice seating area with a couch and desk. Good included breakfast as well. Walking distance from everything which was convenient. We got a parking pass from the city instead of having the hotel valet our car. Parking garage was one block from the hotel which was great.

Excellent location. Walking distance to great places to eat. The staff were nice and accomodating. Not as clean as I would have liked. I got to my first room and there was hair in the bathroom floor, the fridge was grimy and something sticky in the couch. I asked for another one. The second was better but still not great. Water pooled in the shower. Might be time for a remodel.

We got here on a Saturday night. There was a large stain on both the fitted sheet and the top sheet. They line up, so it's not likely that it didn't come out in the laundry, but more likely it is from whoever occupied the room before us. Housekeeping did not come to our room for two days, even though we were gone most of the day both days and made sure to not have the "Enjoying a little extra sleep" sign on our door. So after two days of no housekeeping, (we arrived on Saturday and now it is Tuesday) we went downstairs and specifically requested that they do our room while we are out. We came back to what looked like a clean room. The bed was made all tidy, but when I pulled back the covers, both stains were still there! I called the front desk and told her the situation (about how we arrived to stained sheets and the same sheets are still on the bed) and asked if when housekeeping does a room if that includes new sheets. She said, "Only when requested. "

Great staff at all levels. The valets we're awesome! Excellent location for getting around Savannah on foot. Downside — Our "suite" was not even close to being a suite and the heated pool was way too hot.

Nice location and people were nice, especially the door/valet. Was disappointed that the room wasn't ready at our appointed time (4 PM) and this also happened to over 10 others. It was a real mess. Other than that it was a nice place.

Bed was not cleaned from previous guest. Manager was not accommodating. Valet parking attendant asked if I would park my own car, because he didn't drive stick. Very poorly run place. Would be nice if it was managed correctly.

Room not ready until 2 hours after check in time. Lobby full of people waited for rooms still at 9:15 at night. Couldn’t regulate temperate in room, and website says valet available. Valet is your only option at $26 a day. Valet staff was very nice, but I won’t stay there again. Does represent the Marriott brand well.

There were over 100 late check outs so we got 2 of our room at 4pm and then the other 2 at 7pm. When we finally got our room there were no towels. We had reserved 4 king bed and due to the booking issues we got 1 king and 3 double queens. It was super annoying, but I'm sure it was just because of the late check outs.

I loved this hotel! The staff were very friendly and courteous. The enjoyed the breakfast each morning and the coffee is nice and smooth. As far as the room goes, it was lovely. I loved the separate shower/toilet in the room. The bed was absolutely amazing! One of the best sleeps I have had in awhile. Overall I would recommend this hotel and will be staying again on my next visit to Savannah.

Nice modern rooms. European style. Very comfortable… stayed at 2 different places… The small vanity sink drains slow. It's not a clog… It's the drain design. It needs to open better. Main bathroom is fine.

Great location. Easy access to everything! My family enjoyed the room layout and felt we had a great time in Savannah. The room service was late cleaning our room on one day, but overall, the room was clean and the amenities were accommodating. We will stay here again when we visit in the spring. We all agreed that $26 is steep for valet parking, but that price point is typical for most hotels in downtown locations. If I wanted to stay in the burbs, I could have avoided the parking fee. No complaints from my family.

Very nice, great location for visiting Savannah. Close to all the things you've wanted to go to and I mean within walking distance, the only down side was there was no safe in our room. We had 505. Great room its a corner room so yo get 2 windows. Only complaint would be the car service which did well parked me in a good spot but when getting my 40k dollar vehicle out did not remember to disengage the parking brake. Wasn't happy with that.

Nice comfortable hotel. Breakfast is commendable during the week. You get fewer choices on the weekend. I have never been a fan of hotels charging their guest to park their vehicles. For the rate of $250 for a weekend day parking should be free.

Five stars. We had a great experience at this hotel! We stayed on our way back home following hurricane Irma. It was a horrible daylong drive and the hotel was completely full with tired families. Every employee we encountered, from the valet parking to the manager, was very helpful, efficient and accommodating. The room was spotless clean and the kids enjoyed the extra space. The heated pool was just what we needed after an all day ordeal. Overall a very nice hotel made wonderful by the the people working there.

The room was nice and comfortable. The breakfast was good but seemed to have the same thing each morning. Had different experiences with the staff, some was very pleasant while others seemed like I was a bother. The guys at the valet station were very professional and quick both coming in and leaving.

This was an amazing hotel. The rooms are very large and modern. The staff is very friendly and breakfast each morning was great. The pool is a little on the warm side while the hot tub is only luke warm, not hot. You can easily walk to River Street from here. We will stay here again!

Very cool room, giant shower for two, big Jacuzzi tub with seat (felt GREAT after a day at Tybee) and the neatest mirror with built in light in the bathroom! Comfy bed. The pool is outside on the roof top. Pretty neat. Every employee was super sweet and attentive. Only complaints, room was next to a service room and you could hear the door slam every five minutes. And be prepared to pay for and tip valets every time you come and go. Great service though.

Generally nice hotel. But, our shower hose sprayed out the sides all over the bathroom floor. Our air conditioner broke and we spent a hot night with fans in the room. The toaster was broken at breakfast and the line for any toasted item was very long. I asked the manager about it and he said that a new one was on the way and delayed and I couldn't understand why a nice hotel like that could not just pick up some simple toasters until the new one got there instead of making guests with plans wait forever. The cereal was all sugary. The rooms were spacious.

We we're traveling with our two daughters, and had a king bed with a partial wall then a pull out sectional, semi separate rooms for us and the kids, so one girl slept on the pull out and the other on the other bend of the sofa. They hate sleeping together so it was perfect. Continental breakfast was good, just make sure to get down long before it closes, as it was full and even though we came down at least 10/15 minutes before it closed we didn't get eggs because they weren't refilled (I heard another family running into the same issue. ) Pool/spa we're simple but great for the kids to get wet and cool off. Location. Was great for walking and exploring.

The staff here was very friendly and helpful, they even drew us directions to the river on the free maps they had. The room was really nice, breakfast was great and there was plenty of food to chose from. The only problem I had was that the door to the room was a little hard to open, but the staff fixed it for us immediately.

Great friendly staff! Cannot say enough about the staff. When we arrived on a saturday (very busy) there were no carts available for luggage and Tom from valet helped carry our luggage to our room! We requested a crib for our room and not only did we get it, we even received a confirmation call from the front desk to make sure we got it! Also read a review that said valet was slow and we did not have that issue or car was always returned to us right away. Stayed in a double queen suite with our 3 kids we had plenty of room. Some reviews have said bad water pressure but we found the hotel to have great water pressure! Our room was cleaned promplty the next day and the house keepers were so friendly. The kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was also good, the area was clean and well stocked! We really enjoyed our stay as well as the location!

Early check in was requested — we were told it would be within the hour, turned out to be over 3: (couldn't even park the car there. The first day the housekeeping staff asked what we needed, we replied towels, we were handed towels, no one ever went into the room to collect the soiled ones! The next day the towels were exchanged & the beds were made.
The trash can had no liner & was not emptied the entire stay. Had to ask for coffee — no new soap, shampoo — etc. The valet parking staff were very nice. The room service was not in line with the price of the room. For a 4 day stay & the price of the room we expected better service.

The room was very nice and clean and the price was one of the lower price points in the area for a hotel where you are close enough to walk to all the main areas of the town. Our room had a king bed, TV, mini fridge, bathroom that was separate from shower so both could be used at same time, a couch, and a desk. Very modern looking and nice set up. Breakfast was included (typical hotel continental breakfast). Valet parking was $24 a night, but a garage was a block away, and was only like $5-10 a day depending which day (s) you stayed. Our only issue was one of the elevators went down so we waited awhile to use them, no big deal really though, but we had an issue with our door not unlocking when we tried to get in (even the worker couldn't get it open), so we had to wait in lobby for about 20-30 minutes til they could figure it out. Then the next morning coming back from breakfast our key didn't work, so we had to get new key cards, but they worked just fine when we went back. All in all, nice place, and no major issues. Good area of town with easy access to everywhere important, within a 10-15 minute walk. Would stay again for the price.

Our stay here in historic district Savannah was delightful, right up until the end. The problem? When we went back to pick up the car to leave, the valet informed us that our key had been inadvertently given to another customer, who was no longer in the state. Neither the hotel manager nor the apparent valet company manager (contracted through the hotel) seemed to want to take responsibility for this and we sat waiting in the lobby for two hours while the valet was talking to his manager via phone before they even came to give us their "solution" which seemed to involve driving out of state with an employee to my residence two hours away to pick up the spare key, then driving back to hotel to retrieve car… All before we could leave with our car. Finally after three hours a locksmith was called who could cut a new key, who was great and arrived promptly. The hotel manager (Bryant Young) agreed beforehand to pay the locksmith, but when work was completed and it was time to pay, could only manage to come up with half the bill. The remainder was apparently expected to come out of our own pocket! Heated words were exchanged and lawyers were threatened before the front desk miraculously came up with the remainder and we could finally be on our way, only a mere 6 hours after discovering our key missing. Truly shocked at the extremely poor handling of such a simple problem of a car key. Never ever staying at this hotel again.

Loved my stay at the SpringHill Suites. Cool modern style to the room. Comfortable accommodations. Friendly staff. Quality breakfast. Easy access to all Savannah favorites. We were right across the street from the Civic Center, centrally located in the historic district. I'd definitely love to stay here again.

The hotel itself was okay not too much to talk about… We had the king bdr but most likely a queen bdr, why because the head board didn't fit the bed, there were little to none pillows for the pull out bed… Cleanliness could be a tad bit more better, there were half cleaned spots on the tables, also I believe there should be enough little garbage bags in the trash can just in case you have a trash flow… Staff was okay as far as I can say. Sometimes you have to make the best of what you have, plus if it's the holidays you want to make sure your guest is well acclaimed and are happy!

Would love to give 5 but the flag holder above 206 is loud. It sounds like something is going to come through the window. I will say something in the morning. They'll need to fix that for the next guest. The staff is wonderful and the kiddos like the pool. Other than the loud flag holder, it's a great place. Great location.

Good stay, the room was clean and cozy. Was a bit disappointed in the gym, but was only staying two nights. Thought it was a little off the housekeeper tried to come in twice while I was working in the room but probably just being professional. Would stay again.

Many things are right, but the service our upstate NY bus trip with 27 guests, was truly lacking. Our rooms were not ready, after our tour guide who called ahead and was assured they were ready for our 4pm arrival. We were seated in the dinning room, and our tour guide was given bottle drinks to hand out. We sat for 11/2 hour. During this time, our tour guide and bus driver had to bring our luggage in from the bus, with no help from staff, into the lobby. The hotel Manager was not on site, nor available. We had dinner reservations and left the hotel. We returned later, and we had rooms and our luggage was in our rooms… Poor service continues, the tour guide and bus driver had to bring our luggage from our rooms back on the bus… most of us on this trip are seniors and handling our luggage has always been part of the hotels service.

I was very lucky to grab the last room of the night! It was comfortable and modern. We slept very well. The breakfast is wonderful and there was an assortment of things to choose from. Complaints: There wasn't toilet paper in the room, the toilet flooded on first use, & one of the towel hooks made of a heavy metal fell on my husbands foot and he blead. (not too badly) Other than this the overall experience was pleasant.

My friend is up from South Florida to visit me here in Savannah. The hotel is clean & contemporary. The breakfast that's included has eggs waffles sausage juices cereals and coffee. To valet the vehicle here is 20$/night but that's not too bad considering what is required to maintain a meter w/o the safety of a private garage. Pool & jacuzzi. Just a shower in our room which we were fine with. The w/c is separate than the shower. Overall we are pleased.

I love staying here. The clerks are always so nice, and the beds were great!

Stayed here for two nights recently with the family and my daughter's soccer team for a tournament in town. The lobby and breakfast area are nice, I really like the layout, pretty open. They could use a little more seating, but otherwise good. We had a double-queen room, it was in the corner near the stairs so I think it was a little larger than most of their rooms. In any case, the rooms are fairly large with a separate sitting area and desk. It's not totally isolated from the sleeping area, however, it's a little separate which makes it nice with kids who go to bed earlier. The hotel is clean, modern, nicely decorated and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The location is pretty convenient to the historic district and restaurants, only a few blocks away, and in a reasonable neighborhood (some parts of Savannah are a little run-down and sketchy). Would definitely stay here again. Positives: Clean, modern hotel with a nice breakfast area and lobby. Large rooms with 2 queen beds (not doubles) and pullout sofa. Negatives: Cold in the hallways. Paper-mill smell in hallways sometimes, but rooms were fine always.

Very bad renovations. Even though the room is finished… the TV was halfway between the wanna be split wall so no matter where you were you looked at thw TV sideways… the bathroom small like a airplane… with sliding door that is designed with no lock at all and you can see who was in there through the badly designed closed door position. No parking at all. Have to pay valet. Even though they parked our in front of the building… air conditioning sucks wouldnt get below 78 degrees. And it smells like poop because they have a drainage problem… will not come back. Who ever is in charge in renovation needs more experience because watching a half a t. V. While smelling poop in upper 70s isnt any fun. We mentioned the smell to front desk and the lady with a bad attitude said it was the paper mill smell, which is 4 miles away? everyone slept horrible and breakfast sucks. I warned you all… youre going to regret not listening.

I stayed here twice on a stopover during Christmas 2015. The hotel personnel are great. Although, they seem to be under staffed. The hotel was at the end of a renovation. The low rating is due to many things that are broke in the rooms and the hotel. Broke items on both stays included, microwave, coffee pot, TV, etc. No ice maker on the second floor. Limited availability of luggage carts. One would think that the hotel just got renovated, things should work. This is a good location with a very pleasant staff. Whoever was the project manager on the renovation needs to complete the punch list and get the hotel in working order.

Looks like a beautiful hotel but a family member had something very valuable stolen from locked compartment in vehicle. Very disappointing and not expected from a Marriott. There is no choice but to valet. If you don't they tell you that you can't park at hotel. Be very careful!
