We made reservations online months in advance to save. Price of hotel was more than expected and when I asked about it they charge me MORE since I threw a fit. Rude employees, they said I tried to trick them. Do not stay there- I called and asked about pricing BEFORE and I asked AGAIN when I checked in TO VERIFY cost As I checked out we had more expenses and when asked to see my bill she added 75 more since I threw a fit. Seriously.

This hotel is dirty, run down, musty smelling and noisy. I would give it one star for location. Every staff member we interacted with (meaning IF you could actually get someone to acknowledge your existence-that wasn’t easy) was annoyed by having to do their job. One word responses are the most you will get even if you are super polite asking to buy a cocktail or to valet your car. When we pulled up, three valets were lounging on a podium ignoring guests as they struggled to get luggage from their cars. We won’t stay there again.

Clean the rooms! To be a 4 star hotel you should really have furniture that isn't soiled and have rips and tears. Overall I would give you a 1/2 star. I have had to stay in some bad motels, this was worse than any.

When I checked in, there wasn't any water, and driving in was a cluster with one side completely blocked due to construction. Then while I was checking in I was informed my dog would be an additional $170 to say in the hotel, this is more than the cost of the hotel room. This is despite the carpets having stains and the whole hotel having a musty smell. I had arrived late and was only staying the night, so I just paid the fee. The next morning when I tried to call for my car, I did not get a response. It was found the valet on duty was sleeping and I didn't get my car until the next guy came on duty and the other guy was woken up. You would think having paid $40 to park my car for less than 24 hours would have meant better service. Breakfast was not provided either. Overall this was not a great experience and I would not recommend staying here.

Very vexpensive for what you get! I mean I don't mind paying for a well accommodated for stay but didn't feel like this place was it. Only Valet parking which is $45 night. Breakfast reminded me of a complimentary breakfast at a lower end hotel. Just wanted coffee one morning and it was $3/cup and not even hot. The room was small. Not much water pressure in shower. Bathroom was very tiny, dim lighting, light switch on outside of wall. Toilet didn't flush well and toilet paper holder fell off wall! For what we paid $900+ for 2 nights will look for somewhere else next time.

I enjoyed my stay, but the checkout experience was horrible. After I checked out, I proceeded to valet to have my car retrieved. The valet attendant on duty handed me my car key (picture attached) and told me to go to the front desk and request to speak you a manager on duty. I followed their instructions and was told you were going to be contacted. I waited 15 minutes and no one showed. I called the toll free guest services number, and the woman I spoke to said someone hung up on her while she was attempting to reach you. She called again and then was told the hotel was too busy to handle my issue. Needless to say, both my and family’s frustration increased. I was on the phone for 30 minutes I returned to the front desk and agent handed my broken keys to a young man with a white shirt and told him to, “…handle this…” He apologized and told me to email him with the cost to replace the key. He did not have any cards, so he wrote his email on a piece of paper. He asked if I had another key and he would get my car. Thankfully, my daughter brought her key and we were able to leave one hour after we checked out. The young man who spoke to me said he would pay to replace my key. I paid $388 to my dealership. Replace my key. I never saw my reimbursement and I never heard back from the general manager. They care about taking your money but they do not care about correcting service failures. I will never stay there again.

This hotel was a LIFE SAVER after one night at the original hotel we booked for our weekend was a truly sketchy/scary experience. The staff was very helpful, even the overloaded valets (because EVERYONE was there for the 4pm check in time). Our room was clean and spacious, the shower was glorious after half a day on Tybee Island, and every staff person we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. A couple of downsides, there was a lot of space under construction outside, and the ice machine on our floor was out of order, so my wife had to go to the ground floor to get ice. We did find out from the valets as we were checking out that the hotel is doing some renovations (which is why there was no accessible pool while we were there), including putting in a new pool, so we will look forward to that on our next visit. We will definitely book here again! Not sure what all the negative Nancys are going on about in other reviews, but we very much enjoyed our stay. However, I can agree that it would not be our first choice if we were traveling with younger children, but for us adults, it was great.

Absolutely disgusting and astonishing lack of professionalism with the Hotel Staff. We couldn’t check in until 4pm on the dot (as per hotel “policy”) and then when we finally checked in, we arrived to a door that didn’t close and no sheets or pillows on the bed. Called and requested bed sheets and pillow to be dropped off. Came back at 2am with no sheets and no pillows and called down to request them all to have the front desk tell us there was nothing he could do and hung up the phone. Went down to the lobby to inquire of the lack of response to the request for sheets and pillows and was met with complete disregard and disrespect and was told that the guy working the desk just started his shift at 12 am and was “the only one working” and couldn’t get sheets and blankets for us and we could go down to the basement to get it ourselves. After continuing to press for appropriate accommodations, the man wearing a spider man tshirt refused to help and even threatened my husband to meet him outside to fight and would bring his shotgun to shoot him! We ended up having to call the police out of concern for our safety. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism in all of my life! Our lives were literally threatened by staff for asking for a simple request of sheets and pillows!

Horrible check in. Waited over an hour for our room to be ready. Every time we asked about our room, they kept telling us they were waiting on house keeping. Will never stay here again!

I was excited to stay here but after a horrible check in, I would not recommend this hotel! Since we walked in, staff is not friendly and the young lady checking us in couldn’t answer even basic questions about the charges on my card. She then failed to mention that certain rooms have a different elevator so we took up all of our luggage just to come back down again to have to access another elevator. Then we go into that room and it’s dirty! So here we go again hauling all our luggage back downstairs! Then valet parking, which is another $45 parked our vehicle then blocked it for another 20 minute wait and an attitude! We had a tour to go to and had to go through all of this! The stress and headache was unacceptable! Hotel Indigo, a known and national name should train their employees to understand customer service!

Don’t stay here unless you like noisy rooms and an unapologetic staff. We were awakened at 2 am by someone on the patio below our room screaming and cursing at someone on the phone. After listening to it for about 10-15 minutes, I called the front desk and asked them to go out and make this person stop or leave the premises. We had to be up at 5 am to get ready to go to our daughter’s college graduation, so we were trying to get some sleep. After an hour of listening to this woman scream and use the most foul language, I finally got dressed and went down to see what could be done. I was literally ready to call the cops (yes, it was that bad). As I exited the building, I was met by the front desk attendant who said this woman had finally left (but by this point I was wide awake). In the morning we went to the manager who basically told us that their patio was open to whoever wandered in and that once they were there they considered them a patron of the hotel and there is nothing they can do about their behavior. It was absolutely ridiculous and we will never stay at this hotel again!

We had an issue with our air conditioning. They couldn't get it to work but moved our room. Never had any issues with cleanliness of the room. Staff were nice as were the valets.

I’ve read through some of the reviews & it seems my disappointment with the front staff is very common! I watched closely & it seems the way you are treated is based on the color of your skin! That’s not the worst part. After returning home from staying 3 nights, it seems I now have a case of scabies! And of course, no one in customer care will answer the phone.

So we were very excited to stay at the Indigo. We arrived at three Friday the 11th of March 2022, and immediately were greeted by unfriendly, unenthusiastic, none engaging staff. They would rather talk to each other or look at their phones. When ask questions the expression of annoyance was loud and clear. Saturday morning when asking for extra towels, they never showed up. We were told when booking in February that we’d have a parking pass. When arriving back from the wedding Saturday they had clearly over booked and there was no place to park. We had to park five blocks away yet charged for two days of parking in their deck we could only use once. This could be a great place, it’s a great location with great restaurants and hotels. This one needs staffing work, we won’t be back.

We got a king Suite and it’s huge! We love it! Location is great! Right across from the riverfront!

While this place has a great location, the rude and racial comments of the front desk staff do not make it worth it. The staff could use training on learning how to deescalate a situation, staying neutral and calm. The racial slurs came at us like a tornado. I’d like to add, the person making these racial comments was a person of color while my party and I are all people of color as well. Not worth the comments for a mediocre room. I’d recommend taking your business elsewhere with a nicer place and staff who will treat everyone with kindness and respect.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay here. The staff was extremely friendly. Alexius was super helpful and very personable. Such a wonderful personality at the front desk. It set the mood for our whole stay. Will definitely be staying here again on our trips to Savannah.

Trash in hallway, no garbage bags, no towels, broken elevator, no rooms upon check in, no parking after we paid to park, rude staff. Bar tender was nice.

Staff was nice. Rooms are small no fridges. No valet. Self Parking is $30 a night. Our first room was on the first floor next to a covered seating area. We got no sleep because people were out there smoking and drinking all night. Cars revving engines. The phone was broken to call and let someone know. The staff was accommodating when we requested to move rooms the next night. We packed up and when we got to the new room we noticed the room hadn’t been cleaned and beds were slept in. We went downstairs to get yet another room. This one we slept in fine. But woke up to it covered in water. Condensation all over our clothes. Electronics. All of our belongings were wet. We left and we’re given one nights refund as we had no desire to stay there again. Hoping this helps you make a smart choice when booking a place to stay. This is not a 3-4 star hotel by any means.

After reading many reviews about recent bad experiences I was worried we would run into problems and tried to cancel before we left. Didn't have any luck as they were rather difficult to reach. Decided to stick it out. Positives — The location is great very easy to walk to many food and bar places and right near river street. Even got somewhat of a view from our room. There is a parking garage which is only for hotel guests. Yes, you have to pay but that's everywhere in Savannah. The hotel staff was very upfront about their cleaning situation which I'm fine with as I knew right away. No secrets. They are not cleaning rooms in between and if you need anything you can ask the front desk. Easy enough. The room was clean enough. Not perfect but alot better than other hotels I've stayed in in the area. There is also a breakfast option available $15 a person and a bar. The negative — Refrigerators are luck of the draw which is kinda weird in a tourist town. This is a very noisy street. One of the main through routes for large trucks which we still heard all night even on the 5th floor. The other noise was the air conditioner, it made sleeping quite hard as the plastic cover rattled and shook and was only made a little better by stacking soda boxes on it. Room was smaller than the average and the sink was in the main room. I hope this hotel does get a facelift. The carpet is atrocious. Many places it's just squares that are detached from the main and filthy.

Very nice views and located close to everything!

Great location, great staff and nice clean rooms. They just cut corners too much. We talked to staff about phone not working. No frig in room, no bathmats, and no room service. I understand no room service due to Covid, but was told we would get a frig and fix phone. NEVER Happened. Parking was $28/day. The spaces were only meant for compact cars. SUV'S dont fit. Ice machine not working on our floor. Breakfast buffet was reasonably priced. But food was cool.

Great location front desk ladies are super sweet and nice bartender. But whoever manages this hotel needs to find another job because they surely don’t care & don’t know how to manage and especially when rooms aren’t ready for guest to check in at 4pm and guest aren’t getting into rooms until 8pm, 9:30pm etc and some guest canceled and some actually had to find other places to stay because of bad management. A good manager would have been here with sleeves rolled up helping anyway they could even if it came down to them helping get rooms cleaned. We have never experienced anything like this staying at a hotel.

The location couldn’t be anymore perfect, it’s a cute hotel, they could do so much more with it design wise. But after we went to our room we noticed that the toilet was dirty (dry blood on it), and there was bags of trash in the cabinet under the coffee bar sink. There are so many options of different hotels to choose from in this area, but my boyfriend picked this one cause of the reviews he saw. He went to talk to Alexis at the front desk, who is the BIGGEST SWEET HEART, seriously give that girl a raise, and she immediately apologized and gave us keys to a new room with a discount and informed us that the situation will be addressed. Also, elevator A, the safety inspection certificate expired in 2019, so if the elevator sounds dangerous, you should be nervous. But overall the hotel is super cute, but management needs to pick up their game on making sure the cleaning is done properly considering COVID.

The hotel and accommodations were very nice, the room was clean and comfy but my issue is that I was startled awake at 3am with a random man standing in my room staring at me and I could NEVER get an explanation from the hotel how this happened. This person could have raped me, killed me or my family, or kidnapped my kids. The front desk clerk assured me they would call me back and explain what happened once they figured out how it happened but I never heard back from them, management has never spoke to me either! My door was locked and the dead bolt was on so he clearly had been given a key to my room. My stay was months ago and I have been calling the hotel, emailing the hotel, leaving messages, and I called corporate and NO ONE has ever reached out to me. I was never refunded for anything. This was the first and last time I will stay at hotel indigo, I usually stay at the Hyatt regency and we will return there. My stay was actually at the end of august but I have been trying to communicate with the hotel and corporate since then so I finally decided to post my review. I was assured they would get to the bottom of it and they never did. The management and corporate never return phone calls so I’m over it. I disputed the stay with my credit card company but they said because I stayed the next night after the incident I couldn’t be refunded.

Great front desk staff, excellent concierge. Was told there were no king rooms available and the young lady at the front desk gave me a twenty percent discount on a double queen with a beautiful view of the parking garage and an overflowing dumpster. Floors in the room had obviously not been swept and the room is small. No fridge or microwave, and I had to ask four times to get a trash can brought to the room.
I've been in a lot worse hotels but but there's no bang for the buck here. First time here, great town, and plenty of other hotels in this price range.

Awsome staff, awsome location.

The hotel is filthy! We tried 3 rooms before we found a room clean enough to stay in. Unfortunately we had paid in advance so we were stuck there. I wish I had the capability to post pictures here. The chairs in the lobby are disgusting with stains all over them. The stairwells were not cleaned the 4 nights we stayed there. The steps are duct taped together. My husband about fell up the step because his shoe got stuck between the floor and the duct tape. The carpet is coming up in the hallways creating a tripping hazard. There was a comb and piece of paper that laid in the hallway the last three days we were there. They charge $29 to park in their garage and you can not come and go.

Truly enjoyed our time at the Hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is amazing between City Market and River Street. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone.

We are staying at the hotel tonight which is May 3, and I do Understand that they are only operating at half capacity and with less staff than usual. But her outside patio in the area surrounding it is absolutely disgusting. No one has cleaned or picked up there is trash everywhere, beer bottles and garbage everywhere. It’s really gross and we paid over $100 a night for this room.

We love this hotel. The Customer service is great but Alicia is amazing. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you again for everything.

Staff is friendly, especially Charlie the valet service supervisor. He was very helpful with our luggage and gave us great recommendations for area restaurants. Rooms are a little snug but it’s in a historic building.

Rooms to small, coffee but no. Cream. No laundry facility or frig available in the room.
Rooms were fairly clean, for the price of the rooms should have free breakfast.

Perfect location. Front desk staff very nice. Clearly management is lacking. They do not do a good job cleaning the rooms upon your arrival. There were stains on the bed linens and dirty towels. Stayed from Thursday — Monday in the Indigo Loft Suite they never came to clean the room not ONCE! We even saw housekeeping in the room across from us and advised that we were leaving out and needed the room clean. When brought to their attention we received the sincerest of apologies and some extra clean towels. The garbage piled up… We were there for a reunion and therefore we were out and about. I really didn't have the energy to get upset. I will be following up with a letter to corporate. HORRIBLE… Never again!

Great location! Friendly staff, from check-in, to valet, to restaurant. Excellent concierge, who was happy to help and very friendly.

The location was perfect, and there is also a trolley stop right at the hotel, and about a block from city market. The room was clean but missing a lot of normal amenities. Bed was uncomfortable and the room itself was very noisy. Not from the road we expected that but other guests, even a non stop barking dog.
Also a heads up there is only valet parking so expect to pay 34 a night for that. There is no where else to work but blocks away. There is no mention of it anywhere but since being in Savannah it seems most hotels downtown are this way. Lesson learned.

Friendly staff, beautiful lobby but the room for 3 adults was very cramped, much happier when we stayed at the Hyatt and the Hilton.

We just got back from a long weekend. The location was great. Front desk ladies were great. Valets were on top of it, very helpful. Room was decorated great. Room was not swept good but was clean. We checked in Friday and Saturday was out all day and room was not touched. I told front desk she said she would call. We came back still not clean. I called housekeeping and the next day, it still was not cleaned. I saw in earlier comments this has happened a lot so obviously it is not getting addressed. They told us someone would contact us, still not a word. I am very disappointed in the lack of customer service because we would love to go back in the fall. I think they should have given us a complimentary night so we would come back. Hopefully this will get addressed soon because it is a great hotel. I didn't know anything about free Mimosas! lol.

We had a good stay. The hotel has a good location, nice clean rooms, and a good atmosphere. Downsides were that the lighting was a little hard to turn on/off and the air conditioner didn't seem to work when we weren't in the room. They have nice perks like free mimosas and were very friendly about everything. I'd consider coming back when we visit as the hotel was very good.

Love the location, but the hotel itself is special. The staff were very helpful and professional, especially the breakfast servers and their supervisor. Everyone made you feel welcome and comfortable… and then they spoiled you with care and enthusiastic service! The breakfast was delicious too with crisp bacon and scrambled eggs. Will definitely return.

This is tough, it could have been 5 stars. The location is awesome, so that by itself is a good reason to stay here. It looks modern, but it looks like some things could be replaced or cleaned better. The service was good and friendly for the most part. The room was pretty spacious and looked nice. We got a handicap room and the bathroom didn't work for us. Plus it was right next to the elevator. Btw, the elevator was slow and squeaky. I would give it another try to see if we just got unlucky. Oh, $30 parking you should know about, but even the public parking was $20 day so to get valet service it wasn't unreasonable.

Hotel was excellent. Clean & inviting. Staff were friendly. Perfect location for walking to River St. & many shops & eateries. Saturday is a nice surprise. Food trucks are at the square when you exit the building. Just a few steps away. Be aware of room service from Tap Room. Almost $30 in room service fees. If you're looking for a burger, Five Guys is a few steps away. Save yourself the headache.

I loved this hotel! Great location. Walkable distance to shows, food, stores, bars, etc. Beautiful building that lights up at night. They serve you champagne when you check in and have detox water out during the day. They have patio section with comfy sofas but no pool : (big rooms. Nice and clean. Had a great view of water and the bridge in Savannah. You can see huge cargo boats passing by. They also have a good sized fitness center. Only reason not five stars was no pool and with a nice hotel like that some breakfast arrangement could have been made but hotel is in vicinity of some good eats! Would definitely go back!

Second time staying at this location and the last. We arrived at the hotel at 3:15 for check in and finally got a room at 5:30, Our shower wasn’t cleaned and hair was all over the bathroom floor, reported it to the manager who said it would be taken care of while we were out for the night and it never was. Same manager the next morning when we left and I told her that no one ever came. $75 credit issues for $300 + room. Would have much preferred a clean room for full price.

Solid 4 stars. This is not my first stay at a Hotel Indigo. I like them because of their decor, their staff, and their locations all of which are outstanding. This property happens to be right in the center of the historic district in Savannah. Here you are surrounded by all kinds of restaurants, attractions, and transportation. The City Market is right behind the hotel and River Street is two blocks out the front of the hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The room did not have a small refrigerator or microwave, however. During the stay I had received multiple bites, which I worried were from bed bugs. I called the hotel and spoke with the reservations manager on-site who immediately took the room off the market and called for service. I felt so bad for having to make them go through this process, but they couldn't have been nicer. Turns out Savannah has these bugs called "noseeums" and, as the name suggests, you don't see him when they bite you. The bites occurred on River Street, NOT in the hotel room. Nevertheless, the hotel notified me upon completion of the room review and even provided me with a copy of the report from the exterminator company. I like that they took this seriously. Parking is $30 a day, unless you want to try to find your own parking. Room 705 facing River St.

The hotel is very nice this including staff as well… They have a restaurant & bar & the food & drinks are good as. Recommend if you have a corporate discount use it. & it's right across from the river walk; in the heart of Savannah's activities…

Hotel is a great location close to the underground parking garage. Easy to get in and out of and be right in the heart of downtown Savannah. The rooms were comfortable just not much of a few since we were riverside. The staff was courteous but didn’t give an overly welcoming feeling when coming and going.

Very clean hotel. Room was clean. Beds are very comfortable. We had 2 adults on the sleeper sofa and the wife said it was the most comfortable sofa bed she's ever slept on. Staff was very friendly. It is pet friendly but you'd never know there where animals in the hotel.

It was a nice place. Service left a little to be desired. My party experienced misinformation regarding early check in times. While waiting to check in, another separate party was misinformed regarding charges as well. Loft was nice and clean. Location is great. It may have just been the day we stayed. Would consider trying again for a better experience.

The amenities were nice and the location was great. The room was quite narrow which made it a little difficult to walk through quickly. The parking at $30 per night. Seemed high but it seemed to be par for Savannah. No continental breakfast or anything. Some little muffins or something would've been nice. I don't know that I'd stay again; I'd probably stay farther away and walk for less money.

The hotel has been updated beautifully. My only issue was our room wasnt serviced the entire time we were there. We had to go get fresh towels etc. Ourselves. This didn't seem to be due to the cleaning staff not doing their job but rather poor cleaning schedules or an insufficient number of cleaning staff members. We will stay here again because it is so convenient to some of our favorite places in Savannah.

I've loved our stay here. Did have a plumbing issue in room adjacent but they were quick with service. They also made it right for the inconvenience. Would definitely stay again. Very convenient to everything on River Street & The City Market.

King Suite: 5 night stay This was our first trip to Savannah and we came down for our honeymoon. First impressions of the hotel was what a beautiful job they did decorating this older building. I love the modern yet traditional feel. Valet and check in went smooth and fast. Room was gorgeous, big open window, mini kitchen, living area, and nice big shower! Location was perfect for walking between River St. And City Market. The whole staff was always warm, friendly, and welcom…ing. I definitely am giving them A+++ for customer service and hospitality.
Our cleaning ladies on the second floor really made the experience even better! They were always attentive and smiling. Just a pleasure to talk to on our way in and out of our room! Always had us laughing! The bartender is amazing and makes some tasty drinks to start the nights.
The hotel restaurant inside was ok, would have liked more options especially for the dinner menu. Food was good but over priced for the quality. Overall what a great experience, thanks!

It's a nice hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Its located in a very convenient location, walking distance to quite a few attractions. I would happily stay here again.

The staff was amazing and the room was beautiful. Most comfortable bed I've ever slept on at a hotel. Great location as well close to everything in Savannah. The bar here was great as well. Highly recommend staying here.

Very nice rooms at a reasonable price for the area. Love the suite layout of the rooms and the decor which includes hardwood floors, premium vanities, sliding barn door, and very luxurious shower. The location is also amazing. Walking distance to everything in the historic area. Didn't like the front desk employee. She never even said hello and was absolutely miserable at check in. Really started out on the wrong foot. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and would return myself.

If you're looking for southern hospitality, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Our experience with this hotel and brand was very disappointing. Customer service was just plain bad. We had 2 issues — one with billing and one with housekeeping. It was difficult to get anyone at the desk or on the phone who was capable of helping. When you call, you go through multiple recorded prompts, then when you get a person, they tell you they can't do anything, but offer to take your name and number and will have the appropriate person get in touch with you. We did this numerous times over the course of 2 weeks with not a single call returned. Finally found out that all those calls were taken by a call bank (they answer as though they are on site). After jumping through lots of hoops we did figure out how to get a hold of someone at the property. We were then put on hold, bounced around to multiple people, and always ultimately to an answering machine. Again, no calls returned. Housekeeping issue was never resolved and billing issue had to be fixed by the bank. There are plenty of nearby comparable hotels with excellent hospitality. We've liked The Marshall House in the past and would highly recommend taking your business there instead.

Front desk was brusque but curteous. Cleaning staff was very friendly. Rooms were beautiful and clean. Room service was reasonably priced. Don't bother with their parking. There's a garage on the same block that's much cheaper.

Very nice Hotel, very comfortable rooms and good location.

Pros: Nice looking small rooms, professional staff, downtown Savannah. Cons: No free parking or options given, street parking or super expensive valet parking, small rooms, no refrigerator (unless requested), no microwave, no complimentary breakfast unless you include it in the stay and even then it might not show up in the reservation. Not a good value for the money and I was disappointed. Verdict: Greeting guest with a hello is not going to cut it without follow up! Not business travel friendly. Checked out early and got a King suite the size of a one bedroom apartment for half the price with free parking, a hot breakfast and friendly service in a convenient location near downtown… at the Comfort inn and suites.

No thanks. Overpriced. The computers were down at check in. 30 minute wait to check in and the clerk let two people bud in front of me. Parking is $25 so we parked elsewhere and walked two blocks in the cold and wet. By the way, breakfast is not free. The TV needed a maintenance man to fix it. The room decor was tacky… plastic orange nightstands that looked liked something out of a cheap online catalog store. And I expected "indigo" decor. Not so. The carpeting was a bright teal, not indigo blue. The room's closet door couldn't open fully to put a suitcase in on the valet — architecturally, there wasn't a great deal of thought placed.

Fabulous hotel. Clean and had great lighting. The staff was very helpful when my wedding party checked in. The free mimosas were an added bonus that was unexpected. The laundry service also fixed our musicians dress coat which had oil spilled all over it for 10 bucks. This place is great!

I honestly cannot imagine a more perfect hotel experience. First — location. Absolutely perfect for River Street and accessing all the mayhem of bars, clubs, and shops in the heart of Savannah. Second — The building is gorgeously historic and appropriately modern. They restored this building but it feels like it fits right into the area and feels old when you're in the lobby. Third — The rooms are spacious and super comfortable, room service is fantastic and all the staff were beyond helpful and nice. Fourth — THE BAR. They saved us! We didn't realize drinking in Savannah starts really early and ends by 1am. The hotel bar took care of us when we ventured out too late and needed to catch-up. I can't imagine staying anywhere else!

The room is well-designed and snug if not a little on the small side. The mirror has it's lighting in it's frame, which is neat, and the sink is nice and big and the temperature is easily controllable. The switches are kind of awkward because the light for the bathroom is on the same switchboard as the mirror, which is not in the bathroom. A plug for a phone charger is easily accessible on the bedside table.

This is my first time I have been here since their renovation, and I must say they have done an excellent job. The rooms are nice, well kept and modern and the lobby is very inviting. All the employees I have encountered were very friendly and helpful as well.

Had an amazing stay at hotel indigo it was great place to stay after a long night on the town Bar to bar until I literally could barely walk I stumbled into hotel indigo and I didn’t even have to ask the lady at the front desk if I could stay. They made me feel like I was at home and coincidentally I also don’t have a bed. I found my way to the conference room and found a nice table with a satin black table cloth which was perfect for blocking out the harsh light of the Georgia sun once I was curled up under the table like a raccoon in a trashcan I was beyond cozy. It was the nicest place ive ever stayed! When I woke up from my drunken Hibernation the nicest elderly man which was setting up the tables and he kindly asked me if I needed assistance and by this point I’d regularly be thrown out of such a nice place I was still really feeling the peach daiquiri so I stumbled from the elegant conference room to the astonishing lobby I slept so soundly in the oversized velvet recliner and then I got complimentary coffee. Thank you so much to Staff at hotel indigo I owe you my life.

I am currently staying here and am extremely disappointed. I had to wait 15 mins for valet to come over to me and tell me "here is ur ticket, it's gonna be awhile". I opted to move my own stuff since I have a special needs kid who has special food requirements. Once we checked in, I asked if we had the fridge I requested for the room and the answer was "oh man! I hope we didn't give them all away". Thankfully, I did get a sick, but had to ask 2 times for a crib. Our room also had no toilet paper. The housekeeping man was very nice, the customer service person, not so much. We normally stay at the Hyatt but felt we should give hotel indigo a chance since we love hotel indigo in midtown ATL… we won't be staying here again and I wish I didn't even have to stay 2 nights here… which really sucks… bc I really wanted this to be our new "Savannah stay"

Very nice hotel. I loved the shower & big screen tv, & the bed was very comfortable. My only complaints were that there was no mini fridge in the room for me to store leftovers from a meal out, so I ended up eating far more than I should have. I also did not have a room service menu — I was fine with just going downstairs to the restaurant, but it would have been nice to just eat in my pajamas. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Tastefully redecorated and renovated hotel with high class service and amenities. Only issue was at the bar. Was in the bar with a wedding party ordering drinks after our celebration and the bartender was vocal in letting us know that she was close to closing with a sour face and made us feel kind of unwelcome, while still accepting our orders and tips. While I understand her situation, I think she could have handled it better. After a couple minutes a manger showed up and completely resolved the situation. She was super friendly like the rest of the staff and got us a round with a smile on her face. I'd stay a again, but that bartender could use a little training.

Great Hotel! Beautiful renovation. Rooms are a little small but the beds are very comfortable. I would love to have the name of the bed, comfy! I highly recommend this hotel, the staff was super nice and helpful. Brittney at the front desk was a delight. The location is perfect.

Awesome experience! The staff was overly accommodating, kind, and so fast to respond to any questions. The hotel was beautiful. The rooms were clean and very contemporary. The double queen studio was so spacious and perfect for 5 people. Definitely recommend and would come again.

I had a fantastic stay. The rooms are on the smaller side of average, but well appointed. Beds are comfortable, shower has good water pressure. The staff are friendly, and the little bar in the lobby had great service and food! A friend with whom I was traveling had some issues with her room and the staff bent over backwards to make things right for her. While the (noise-related) issues were annoying, I was glad to see the problem addressed so seriously. The staff could have easily taken the "not my problem" stance. The new general manager even gave out her direct phone number for my friend to call if she had any more issues. Well done, Hotel Indigo!

The staff is very kind and accommodating. The rooms are very nice, clean and have everything you need! The location is great and it's nestled up against so many great shops and entertainment! Hotel Indigo is top notch and animal friendly! My family and I definetly recommend it and we will stay here again!

You won't be disappointed. Right in the heart of the city. You can take open trolley tours of the city, or horse and carriage tours. As an animal lover, however, I could see the sadness in the eyes of those beautiful animals, as I observed them on my walk through the city. I digress. Hotel Indigo is an upscale place with restaurant, bar and concierge. Book your stay here!

Hotel indigo is centrally located in the historic district. Across the street is the upper level of Savannah River Street and within a block of Market Street. It is also next to Club One, which was featured in the movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil". The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are a hardwood floor with luxurious feather pillows and comfortable beds. The room has a Keurig, but fresh hot coffee is available in the lobby as well. It is also within walking distance of the public parking deck but I recommend their valet service. All staff was really out of this world.

The room was very nice, it was set up much like an apartment. My main issue is that our room was on an exterior wall facing traffic. Couldn't get a good night's rest for all of the traffic sounds outside. Overall is a very nice hotel tbough.

We stayed one night. The room was cozy with a nice view. Everything in the room was very modern, lots of outlets and USB charging ports throughout the room and a nice Bluetooth clock radio. The hotel itself is perfectly located within walking distance to lots of restaurants and sightseeing locations. Parking is overpriced, but you can get a visitor parking pass at the visitor center that will let you park all over the city for much cheaper. It was a very nice stay and I would absolutely recommend it.

ONE PRO about this place: Staff was friendly. HOWEVER — a few major cons: Upon entering the room, the room felt damp and smelled of harsh chemicals and cleaning supplies. The Air conditioner blew out hot air on a cold setting. When going to sleep the sheets and bedding seemed unwashed, although pillows were comfortable. My biggest concern: Upon waking each morning, we all woke up with red, itchy bites on our bodies, including our children. I chose Hotel Indigo in Savannah without hesitation after once staying in a Hotel Indigo in Sarasota that was amazing. This hotel experience couldn't have been further from that experience. ***I would also like to add that when reviewing Hotel Indigo on their main site, Intercontinental Hotels Group, they had me re-edit my review at least six times to eliminate my mention of itchy red marks or bed bugs before they finally submitted the review.

This is a nice hotel. The location is excellent. If you are a tourist or here for a convention at a local hotel, just about everything you want is within walking distance. The hotel staff is friendly as well. I can't give this hotel five stars because I've stayed at hotels just as nice for the price (though you are paying a premium for the location). Also know that there are no refrigerators in the room. (Small gripe, but I didn't think about that before bringing back leftover food. )

Great location! But, it stops there. Outwardly hotel "appears" to be clean, but it's not. Comforter on my sister's bed had old blood stains. MOD did give us one night free for the "inconvenience ". My sister however was very disgusted by the experience. The rooms are NOT cleaned properly Perhaps housekeeping isn't given enough time. When housekeeper came she didn't clean sink, shower, floors, or even take all of the dirty towels, replace with sufficient towels, or replace coffee mugs. Basic housekeeping items, and this was done at 4 p. M. Always try to give an honest review for travelers like myself. If you don't care too much about cleanliness, it's a great location.

I loved the location. We were so close to everything — River Street, the market, top rated dining. The view from our room would have been even more breathtaking had there been less construction. We could see the bridge from our beautiful, tall windows. I'm a huge fan of natural light, so I loved having such large windows. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The individuals working at the valet were extremely friendly. We did have an issue that frustrated me. We had booked a room with a single queen bed. We arrived later than we had anticipated, and I had called ahead to let the staff know. When we got there they were out of the room we had reserved (which nearly made me break into a rendition of Jerry Seinfeld's spiel on reservations), and told us that we would be given a free upgrade to a suite. We were staying for three nights. We had popped back into the room the next day to change to go to the beach when we received a knock on our door. Apparently we were being kicked out and put into a room with a single queen bed. They had made no mention of this when we checked in. I was livid. I didn't care about the room. I cared about having to pack up quickly, which put our plans on hold, and checking out only to check back in. I'm on vacation. I don't want to have to worry about this! After I nearly had everything packed, we received a call. The staff apologized and told us we could stay.

The con artist they have remodeling the place Bryan Tate is a low class loser to say the least he owes people money from all across this country he needs to be publicly humiliated. Stay somewhere else. He only knows how to kiss ass… hahaha… Indigo or not they all are subpar dumb asses …

Basic run down is that it is not a nice place by any stretch but it is incredibly convenient because of it's location to river street and the city market.

The only positive thing about this hotel is the location. Otherwise, the accommodations are sub-par at best — rooms are tiny, towels and linens are rough, sheets/beds are lower-end on the hotel spectrum. Breakfast was a joke — not refreshed, messes everywhere, no one to attend. Staff was the worst part — the ladies behind the front desk acted like they had better things to do. Charged me the wrong rate and then complained about having to change it — took nearly 30 minutes. Long story short: stay somewhere else. This place is worth no where near the rates they charge.

This was probably one of the worse hotel experiences. I never complain but I was really grossed out at seeing hair on our bathroom sink and all over the sheets. After talking with the manager who was unapologetic, they came and cleaned the room and even though they were "clean sheets", still had to take my sticky roller to get hair off the sheets. Also had issues with the room keys. Had to have our room keys reprogrammed twice. The person would not let us into our room at 1am when the keys were not working. They finally let us after one of the workers came up and we identified it as our room with a passport. This was a huge disappointment considering it was a hotel with a block for a wedding with several people from out of town.

This hotel just sold and the staff is truly pitiful as they know they only have 2 months until the property changes hands and they will not have a job. They charged me for my reserved suite yet chose to fill it with another guest. They were full and I had to wake the clerk from his much needed beauty rest upon arrival. I sat in my car with my fiance and my 9 yr old daughter and 14 yr old daughter for 3 and 1/2 hours until finally a manager shuffled us into a standard 2 queen room. No clean linens, no maid service at all for three days. Did not even empty waste baskets. They (the maids) were at it by 8am and used the hinge lock on the door as a door stop and everytime they went into or out of each room they would allow the door to slam which rattled entire hall and was extremely loud. My rate wound up being $75 a nite more than my reservation said and you pay $20 per day on top of the room charge for parking And after all this they overcharged me by almost $300.00 after departure and noone in management will answer or return my calls. Check out the Hyatt or the Bohemian instead because the Inn at Ellis is disappointing at best.

We stayed 2 nights April 4th and 5th and we got rooms 204 and 205 both nights. The rooms were nice and clean, but the maids did not leave clean towels, coffee, cups or ice bag the following day. We got locked out of room 204 3 times, 1 time they had to take a crow bar to get us in our room, the last time we told them we couldn't get in they said they would have it fixed by the time we got back from supper, 2 1/2 hours later it still wasn't fixed, we had to wait out in the hall another 40 minutes before we got back into our room. Finally when it was time to go home, we found out our car battery was dead, my husband asked at the front desk if there were any local mechanics, they clerk said she didn't know of any, so he went to the Connoisseur and she didn't help him either. Thank God for USAA who we called and they came right out. Angie Stambaugh.

The Inn at Ellis Square was close to everything. The rooms were a little outdated, but I guess that is part of the appeal of Historic Savannah. Even though they appeared to be busy that weekend, checking in and checking out was a breeze. Also, the entire staff was very helpful and pleasant. And, price wise, compared to the rest of the places in Savannah we stayed here for a steal.

This hotel has a wonderful location, just a block from River Street. From the outside, and from the pictures you see on line, you would think is a nice hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel is disgustingly dirty. Don't be fooled by the lobby. It starts with the elevator and continues in the rooms. My husband and I just came home from spending a week in the hotel. During that time the bathroom was never cleaned, the room was never dusted, nor was the floor ever swept. All the housekeeping staff did was make the bed and give fresh towels. Friends of our stayed there at the same time and they observed the housekeeper "cleaning" the coffee mugs. You did not get clean mugs. The housekeeper rinsed out the mug, then ran her fingers along the rim and then put plastic wrap over the top. Think twice about staying in this hotel.

We booked a package deal to stay in and see historic Savannah for our 25th wedding anniversary. This was over Labor Day, so hotel prices were at a premium. We paid approximately $240 per night for two nights at the Inn at Ellis Square expecting a charming, historic, somewhat upscale experience. This inn, however, is much more like an inexpensive chain hotel. It lacks the amenities of even a moderately priced inn and the amenities of a nicer hotel. The rooms are small, moderately clean, and have older (not antique) furnishings. The service is mediocre. The breakfast is that of an inexpensive chain hotel. Though we had a lovely time in Savannah, the Inn at Ellis Square was quite a disappointment.

Cons: -Tad expensive and parking was $16/day (including the day you check out) even though my reservation email said $13/day. -Standard room is very small. -Reservation included 4 people, but we only had 3 towels in our room. -No fridge/microwave. -Lumpy, uncomfortable pillows. -Weird smell in room. Pros: -Near River Street, City Market, and DOT fare free bus stop! -Bed was comfortable. -Staff was friendly and always helpful. -Free breakfast. (Oatmeal, grits, cereals, waffles, yogurt, eggs, biscuits, sausage, etc. ) -Ice machines throughout hotel; helped to keep our bottles of water cool. -Concierge service. -Bellmen waiting outside for your arrival. -Free Wi-Fi -Smoke free hotel My family had a decent stay here. The name of the hotel was a bit misleading; as others have stated, this is a Days Inn hotel. The hotel is in a fantastic location which is why I give it 4 stars. We used the city's free bus service daily and it dropped us off less than a block from the hotel, which you can appreciate after a day of walking and waiting in the hot sun. It rained a bit while we were there. The first floor of the parking garage floods, so if you're traveling during the rainy months, park on the upper levels. We'd stay again, but maybe in a suite. The standard room was just way too small to share with 3 other people.

I have stayed at this hotel the past three years in a row as a part of a Girl Scout group visiting Savannah. After this last visit, we will never stay there again. Upon arrival, while I was wearing a Girl Scout t-shirt and we had identified ourselves as a part of a Girl Scout travel group, one of the men working the front desk carried on a great length with great sarcasm on how Girl Scouts were their best customers and SO courteous. Breakfast each day was always some pre-formed round egg "thing" (sort of like a miniature omelet) with one hot side that varied between biscuits, sausage, or crescent rolls. Several people in our party chose to go to Panera for breakfast instead of partaking of the free breakfast at the hotel. We were staying in a suite that was supposed to sleep six. The beds were all double size. We had six in our party and every day we had to ask for 2 additional towels. We tried hanging towels to conserve water as suggested, but they were taken every day. One day we got back from Tybee Island after 9:00 pm. We called to ask for towels as we only had 4 in the room and were told housekeeping was closed and they would see if they could do anything for us. An hour later, we called again and finally had the towels brought to us. There were issues with the billing for the rooms and parking. The room itself was not in very good condition. Not worth the amount of money we paid per night. The refrigerator was leaking when we arrived.

We were not able to check in until after 4pm on a Tuesday! We got there at 12:30 and ALEX indicated our room would be ready in about an hour. When our room wasn't ready until AFTER guaranteed check-in time, ALEX was rude and unwilling to try and make amends. He simply just told our group to go away! The bar wasn't even open to have a place to relax while we waited. The room was comfortable and clean, but lacked things like a full length mirror, toiletries and cups at the sink for brushing your teeth. Shout out to December, one of the housing keeping staff, she was the ONLY one in the hotel who truly wanted us to have a nice stay. Last time in Savannah stayed at Mulberry Inn. That's where I will stay again next time! They know customer service.

We stayed at this hotel for Mother's day weekend and we absolutely loved the location of this hotel. City Market, River Street, Bay Street, The Lady and Her Sons (Paula Deens) and much much more dining and entertainment were in walking distance. WE LOVED IT AND WILL RECOMMEND FOR ANOTHER STAY! The only thing is we would have loved to have had a Jacuzzi and pool to get in when wanted to. But other than that, no complaints.
