Amazing experience! Quaint, cozy hotel. Our room was big, with a fireplace. Bathroom is big and comfy. Staff was amazing! So helpful and friendly. Food was so good!

The best honeymoon I could have imagined. Staff was amazing, and great atmosphere with a lot to do within a 30 minute drive.

My Husband and I celebrated our 2yr Anniversary there and thoroughly enjoyed! It was a great place for the peace and relaxation we needed! The customer service was great and the food delicious!

Paid $700 a night for a $100 a night experience. Don’t stay in the honeymoon bungalow. Water was warm, not hot. We mentioned it to staff and were told they would call us with an update. No call came. Towel rod fell out of the wall immediately after walking by it. Toilet paper holder was also coming out of the wall. The cleanliness was not what I expected. There was still construction dust behind the bathroom door on the floor and I got nice little surprises of someone else’s Bobby pins they left behind…so they didn’t really do a good job at cleaning. Back door isn’t hung correctly, so you can’t dead bolt it. They should probably reconsider the four poster bed, because if you want to watch TV from bed, there’s a giant wooden post in your view. There’s a cheap mosquito net hanging above the bed that gets in your way, so that’s fun. I hope you like a night light, because there’s no curtain to block the outside light if you stay in the honeymoon bungalow. The kitchen is good at burgers and French toast, but the mahi was dry. We got massages and essentially overpaid someone to apply lotion, even after requesting firm pressure. The only reason I’m giving it two stars is because the resort is in a beautiful area and it was quiet. We came to celebrate our 15 year anniversary and it was a bust when it came to our accommodations. We live 30 minutes away and planned to make this a yearly trip, but we won’t be staying here.

Was a great stay. Clean neat and helpful. Close to downtown Helen and other area cities. Easy drive to so much. And hiking right here on the property. Food was great too. Thank you. We will definitely be back.

What a gem! A wonderful, romantic escape in a beautiful location. Would be perfect for anniversaries and weddings or just a pampered ladies get away. Hospitality is above and beyond.

From the moment we arrived until the time we left, our experience was TOP-NOTCH! Every single staff person was accommodating and so kind. Our spa services were so relaxing! Each meal was delicious as was the bar service! The room was comfortable and nice! My husband and I have found a new destination spot close to home. We will be back again soon! This is a hidden gem!

We took a spur of the moment trip to Helen and booked a night at the Valhalla Resort. We absolutely loved they are pet friendly and Ace loved being there. From the moment we walked in, we felt important and special. Judy was amazing and helpful. She treated us like royalty. Our dinner was amazing too! We will definitely be back.

Wonderful experience all the way around! From the champagne welcome, to the amazing staff we were blown away and will certainly return on our next trip to Helen. The rooms were well appointed and we had a fabulous view from our balcony. The restaurant on the main level was amazing, and probably the best in the area. Highly recommend!

Everything about our stay here was fantastic! The staff is very friendly, the food was amazing, and the hotel was very clean. We had our pup with us & I wasn’t sure what to expect with the pet friendly room, but it was so clean you would never know there had been a pet in there before you. I love the ease we had vacationing here with our pup. The balcony gate off your room opens up to a pet yard so you don’t have to walk them thru the hotel & lobby all the time. They also provide you with dog bowls and treats in your room❤️❤️❤️❤️ I really do appreciate the staff being so sweet to my pup as well, he loved all the treats❤️❤️ love that all the rooms have a fireplace. This is a great place & highly recommend!

I want to highly suggest the Valhalla Resort and Spa in Helen, Ga. The resort was excellent! We were very spoiled on our 25th Anniversary. The managers of this resort understand hospitality and service. The staff were excellent and made us feel like family. The food is excellent and the spa services are great. Every room has a fireplace and a sitting area. The rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom had double sinks with a rain shower. If you want a quiet retreat not far from home, this is a great place to go. The town of Helen, Georgia is cute too. Enjoyed our trip. We will definitely be back.

The staff here are outstanding! Everyone went out of their way to be accommodating, and always went the extra mile. The grounds are lush and clean and the food excellent. Special mention goes to Edward for the stellar ‘old fashion’ and Else for one of my top 5 massages! Every single person working there is a gift to Managment… keep them!

We did not stay overnight in the resort, just had dinner in the SkyBar. Great good, drinks and views. The service was awesome and the owner was actually sitting a couple tables from us having dinner with friends.

My husband and I have never stayed anywhere so welcoming! All of the staff were amazing. The food is amazing! We had some of the best salmon we had ever eaten! Solasta spa was beyond relaxing. And they personalized our experience with an anniversary card from the staff. We will definitely return one day! — with Joshua Davis.

The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was gorgeous. Alicia was an excellent server/bartender. And the deep tissue massage from Eska was amazing and much needed.

Everyone was so friendly and attentive. The food and beverage service were top rate. We enjoyed our visit and plan to return!

Friendly staff, beautiful view, perfect getaway!

Our weekend at Valhalla Resort was beautiful. The staff is AMAZING from valet to housekeeping. The upstairs bar staff were so friendly and attentive. The thoughtfulness that went into the decor from fresh flowers to champagne greeting, chocolates and the AMAZING bedding is top notch and pictures don’t do the views from the top floor justice! A little piece of heaven!

Great staff, beautiful property and view!

We are currently at Valhalla Resort Hotel, in Helen Georgia. We are in the Presidential Suite, which is very reasonable. The staff here is wonderful and accommodating. Everything here is subdued and quiet and is an adult only venue. The surrounding hills and landscape is beautiful. The main restaurant, Caledonia, is great… well prepared food items and plentiful! There is a golf package for the adjoining Innsbruck private course, if anyone is a golfer. Valhalla is a neat getaway and I highly recommend it!

I had an extremely relaxing pedicure. Blakely took her time, visited with me, didn't miss a detail and I have a great pedicure.

This resort is a beautiful place and the owners are fabulous people, not only to work for, but also are generous and kind. I have worked here since March of 2018 and the owners are wonderful to work for! This resort treats their guests with the highest service and respect. If you are looking to enjoy being treated to the best resort, dining, beautiful views and outstanding suites this is the place to visit.

Thank you for a wonderful spa morning and lunch this past weekend. The staff's customer service and hospitality were superior in every way. We were finishing off a ladies' weekend and this was the perfect ending. The food was out of this world. Best I've had since moving back stateside. Hope to be back soon!

I took my wife for a birthday weekend dinner at the Caledonia restaurant at the resort. We arrived, we’re seated promptly, and were spectacularly attended to by a young man named Drew. He was the perfect server. Polite, sociable, and attentive to every request. It sounds odd but he was “around” the perfect combination of checking on us and allowing us to enjoy each other’s company and our food.
And our food? Amazing. Absolutely amazing. After discussing with Drew the 3 course pairings, we decided to be adventurous and let the chef surprise us. And we were not disappointed. Being very conscious of some food allergy concerns, the chef arrived with an amazing scallop appetizer that I, having never had interest in scallops, found truly breathtaking. I won’t ruin the surprises for others if he wishes to recreate it for someone else but the menu was wonderful. The wine pairing was delightful.
Then we had our entree, a surf and turf variant, with a cut of beef so well prepared you could almost chew it with your lips and a seafood portion prepared in a fun new way. Both exquisite. The wine worked well with both.
Finally, our desert arrived, an homage to a popular candy bar, if you will. It was wonderful, and the wine pairing was perfect.
We could not have been happier with our dinner, honestly, even if we had gone with a “regular” menu item. We were absolutely delighted that the chef had created such a wonderful meal and met with us at the table side.

Hidden Gem! Amazing Resort! This resort was absolutely beautiful! Breathtaking views and top notch service! Everyone was super nice from check in to check out. Our room was huge with a mountain view and fireplace. I would highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

Tried the Caledonia restaurant, what a joke. Two other couples in there on a Saturday night. This “5 star” restaurant is in the lobby of the hotel. I ordered the special which was a short rib. I was soon informed one of the other two guest must have eaten the only one they had so they offered me a prime rib in place of it. You know how close a prime rib tastes to a braised short rib. It doesn’t but they put it in the same dish. First dish came out refrigerator cold. Second dish came out with my graciously cut 3/4” prime rib. What a joke. Thankfully they took that dish off the bill but my wife and I still spent $150 on dinner and a bottle of wine which reminds me, the service. If our millennial waiter, who didn’t know how to open a bottle of wine, If he didn’t say sorry 100 times during our meal, I’ll eat my shoe. I understand what they are trying to do here but it’s a joke. One and done for us.

Outstanding adults only resort and golf course. The owners are fantastic. All suites in a German style castle. Impeccable details, superb spa and world class chef. You will not be disappointed. All minutes from Main Street.

This review is technically for Skybar but I will say we went to the wrong entrance to try to get into the gated community and I called the hotel asking for directions. The receptionist could have easily told us to drive around but they sent someone out to let us through the gates and lead the way! The food was amazing! The bartender, I believe his name was Zack was great. We had the ceviche and a few different sliders to taste. You MUST try the chicken and waffle slider. Seriously, it's amazing! The drinks were superb as well. We finished off with the key lime creme brulee. We can't say enough about how awesome everything was! The view is beautiful as well. We hope to be back!

Luxurious hotel but reasonable room cost. Extremely friendly staff. Rooms were immaculate and the best part is that they allow pets, or else we wouldn't have stayed here. The restaurant is super awesome and Dean is one of the best chefs I have met. If you stay there, do try out his five course dinner, you won't be disappointed! Loved everything about this hotel and will surely visit again.

This resort was absolutely beautiful! Very romantic atmosphere… AND THE service was 5 star! Everyone that we came into contact with from the gate on up to the resort was were the most pleasant people ever! My husband and I stayed in the junior suite which was huge! The views from the balcony were breathtaking. We ate breakfast in their main dining area and the food was delicious! Worth every penny for a quiet romantic getaway. I can't wait to go back!

A mixed bag with this establishment for sure. It is new, so I will give it some benefit of the doubt there, but it definitely needs improvement in the hospitality arena especially. I took my daughter for a few days of stay, and the check in was very easy, and the staff was very friendly upon check-in. I could not help but notice though in the coming-and-going during the day and evenings of our stay, how the staff never really spoke. Check out was especially strange. I was a single female with a daughter, several bags in hand, and the male staff downstairs never offered to help with our bags to the car, and the girl at checkout never asked whether we enjoyed our stay or not. I find this very odd for a new establishment. If I were management, I would very much work on this, as there are numerous options for mountain getaways around the Atlanta area, Highlands, NC being one which I at one time frequented often, and no matter where you stay, the wait staffs are flawless. The good point about Valhalla I will note is the property is stunning, truly. If a better hospitality staff is put in place, this would be a 5 star resort, no question.

Beautiful views on the drive in. Greeted by Michael for our valet parking. Greeted by Carla at check-in and luggage delivered to our room on top floor. The room was furnished beautifully and accomadations were cozy with fireplace and balcony with great mountain views. We dined in room with awesome room service. The food was fanominal, our hats off to the chef! We started with soup and shrimp brechetta, followed by the 8 oz beef filets that were so tender. We enjoyed desserts very much also. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend it to everyone.
