This was the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. The lack of basic customer service skills I not only witnessed but also recieved was unbelievable. An orientation on professionalism is needed and extremely overdue for the staff of this hotel. I was disappointed with the room it smelled strong of cigarette smoke it felt very dirty and the toilet seat was stained yellow. While the room did not meet my expectations based off of other reviews and the photos online, the staff is what ultimately drove us to leave and find a room somewhere else. I honestly hope whoever is over this hotel reaches out to me to hear the full story because I am still in disbelief of my experience. If not, all I can say is I would stay as far away from this hotel as possible unless you like unclean rooms and being treated like dirt.

Front desk service was outstanding! Judy and Dana, both were Very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very clean and spacious. It was a nice surprise to walk into our room and see 10 ft. Ceilings, and a large stone fireplace in the corner. Highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely return to stay on our next visit.

By far the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The beds are super comfortable, and the rooms are very clean. The staff is the best part! they are so kind and caring very helpful. They truly want to make your stay the best. Thank you for being so warm and inviting to my family and I.

First time I have ever visited Helen, Ga. First time I have ever stayed here what a amazing time I had with my best friend Liz & her husband Rodney. The stay at this place was the best I have ever had. Everything was clean and the stay was very quiet. The breakfast was Awesome. I will be back and this is where I will be staying every time I visit. I have not been on vacation in 3 years. The staff very friendly. That hot tub was really nice. I plan to vacation here now several times a year. Thanks for making us feel like family and this will be my home away from home. ♡ Thank you for giving us a little extra room we greatly appreciate the extra space.

A wonderful stay! The hotel and rooms are so clean and well kept! The beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast has a great variety and cookies are offered in the afternoons! The hotel is centrally located and so easy to walk to and from.

Very comfortable and the staff was very nice. The hot breakfast was great also. We loved the park across the road by the river. It is a short walk to tubing companies, put put golf, restaurants and downtown.

Called in advanced to confirm that I could have a late check out cause I wouldn't be checking in till 1am. Was told to call before 11 to front desk to remind them, that's when the manager on duty told me no and that I had to be out in less than 15 minutes! I was on a business trip not vacation! Rudest people ever! Will never return and will continue to tell others how horrible this place is!

I took a room with two double beds and a sofa bed. Super comfortable and spacious. Two people can be accommodated on the couch. The hotel is centrally located. Very good breakfast.

Great place to stay. The room was decent, it’s in a great location just outside of the downtown Helen proper. The amenities are good, but I was pretty surprised at the breakfast. When I’m eating a free breakfast in the hotel lobby there are expectations the food may not be the greatest. But the eggs, grits, and biscuits were impressive. The bacon looked like it may be a little lightly cooked but was actually fantastic. Even the orange juice in the dispenser was great. I’d definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

I have never in my life been kick out of a hotel! Judy is the most rude person I have ever seen I my life. This lady Humiliate me In front of everyone! All because she thought she smelled smoke. Nobody had or was smoking anywhere in that hotel! She started assuming things that she had no idea what happened. I have NEVER had anyone talk to me the way I was talk to on Easter Day! People stay away from her. And housekeeping didn’t help. I asked for new sheets and for her to be made up and she didn’t do it! My sheets had black spots on them when we checked in. I really feel discriminated against this weekend. I never come back here again. I am so stress right now. Country Inn, you don’t need someone like Judy working at your Hotel. The owners will be hearing from me very soon! THIS HOTEL IS EVIL! Don’t take your family here! Judy has to many problem with a lot of customers that stay here! Please book some other hotel!

Very friendly staff it was a wonderful place to stay for the money indoor pool was amazing and kept clean. We even had to get out of the pool for a few minutes so that they could test the water. My children and I were very ecstatic about everything.

I really like staying at Country Inn & Suites. I find it to be one of the most consistent hotel chains around the country. This one didn't disappoint. Everything was clean and all of the staff was very personable. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Big Daddy's restaurant was practically next door, and everything in the village of Helen was within a reasonable walking distance.

This hotel was extremely clean, smelled great, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We got the room with a fireplace and it worked great! There was a mini fridge and microwave in the room, plenty of clean towels, and they even had a sanitary remote for the TV. Great experience all around and will be staying here my next time visiting Helen!

I was disgusted by the below review by Alicia Watkins. I also stayed at this hotel during Easter weekend. We were roomed near her. She was NOT kicked out because someone thought they smelled smoke or because she was black. No, Ms. Watkins was kicked out of the hotel because she and her husband/boyfriend were smoking SKUNK WEED! No doubt about it! The entire hotel hall reeked of the smell from their room. It is unacceptable that anyone would be so selfish, oblivious and inconsiderate that they would stink up a place so as to disturb other guests. Children were staying at this hotel. There is no doubt that their room would need to be professionally fumigated/cleaned prior to re-rental. Again, she was NOT thrown out because she was black. She should be ashamed of such a false and twisted accusation. She was thrown out because she was doing illegal drugs, smelling up the place and causing damage from the horrific smell. Furthermore, we overheard the conversation between Ms. Watkins and the hotel management. The hotel lady was professional and respectful, and in no way, race ever entered the picture (until her review. )

I booked the Jacuzzi suite for our anniversary trip. Not only did it take way too long to check in but the hotel was run down and dirty. The lobby stairs and hallways looked like they hasn't been vacuumed in months. The room itself would have been tolerable if not for the fact that it too was dirty. The mystery stain on the bedspread was the final straw. I do not recommended this hotel at all.

Great hotel, with friendly staff and clean rooms. They appear to have gotten a new mattress in the handicapped access room we use, because it was much more comfortable this year. Pillows are still kinda hard, would like to have feather ones available like Staybridge Suites. Walk in shower still confounds; we have to turn off the regular overhead shower head and just use the handheld wand because the overhead shower head just squirts out under the shower curtain and puddles on the bathroom floor because it cannot be tipped any further down. Breakfast bar has eggs, sausage, bacon, four kinds of cereals, grits, oatmeal packets, four kinds of juices, milk, a waffle maker, bread for toast and sweet rolls and muffins. Coffee and hot water for tea available all day in the lobby, and they have cookies at night. There is also a pool and a hot tub.

Our stay was fantastic! The staff was all very friendly. The rooms when nice and clean and had all the amenities that we expected. The hotel was in a great location. Breakfast they had in the morning, which came along free with the stay, was delicious and lots to choose from. The hotel is located in walking distance from just about everything in Helen. The staff was knowledgeable enough about their town to be able to share different sites and their opinions on different restaurants according to what we were looking for. Which was very helpful. We enjoyed the entire stay very much, and would suggest and refer this to any of our friends and family.

Excellent stay. Friendly front desk clerks on all shifts. Emily on 2nd shift was helpful and nice to converse with. The hot tub and indoor pool were at perfect temperature. The breakfast was really good; the best we've eaten.

To Spend A couple Of Nights… The Rooms Are Well-Taken, And The Location Is Excellent.

Hotel is very clean and rooms are very nice… Great location also! We had the King suite and it was very roomy. Special thank you to Judy and Joanne for going above and beyond for us, we had such a great time and will be back for sure!

June is the best, She goes above and Beyond to make sure the guest have everything that they need for their stay here. Very nice cozy room with a fireplace even though I don't need it right now. Oh and the breakfast. It's not a new place, but they are doing some remodeling. After a long day of Adventures in town you can relax on the porch rocking away in one of the many rocking chairs or relax in the indoor hot tub by the pool. Great place and nice little town.

Super close to downtown. Front desk worker gave us some really good places to go for our bachelorette party!

Zero stars 1) Ridiculously overpriced for the quality of hotel 2) Poorly maintained air conditioning units incapable of drying the air; what you get is a cold, damp room 3) NO INTERNET SERVICE! ; management kept blaming it on Verizon but the reality is that they are not capable of keeping up with the demand; maybe pay a little more and get a better plan?

Called and asked for an early check in for a getaway weekend and was told they would make a note and do what they could. Got there at 2pm for a 3pm check in, room wasn't ready, no big deal. Went in to town and returned after 4 and were given our keys. When we got to the room the door was open and hadn't been cleaned. Was told it would be at least another 20-30 minutes. Had to lug everything back downstairs and wait in the lobby until it was finally ready. If you can't do an early check in that's fine, just ensure the rooms are cleaned before you hand guests keys. Also came to breakfast the next morning with over an hour to spare and they were out of all hot food, we were told it was too close to the end of breakfast for more food to be prepared, so we ended up having to have breakfast elsewhere. I paid $140 for a room after a discount, the room was ok but for that price I would have expected more and better service. We won't be staying here again.

I booked this room about 2 weeks in advance to our stay. After hearing the rates for the room I told the lady I was going to look around. I was on a budget and I was just going to surprise my mother with a get away before chemotherapy has her too ill to travel. She quickly stopped me and told me to hold on she was going to see what she could do. I didn't ask for a discount, I was just explaining I needed something a little cheaper due to reasons and the price was about 30$ more per night than what I seen online. She gave me the room for the quoted price on Google and I booked with them. Upon arriving, hotel was very clean, employees were very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay and I especially like that in the pool there's an extra hour just for adults. When we left I had purchased some very pricey goodies from a local shop and they had been taken over by ants. They were everywhere. After the front desk learned about the issue they sent housekeeping in and actually refunded my money for the goodies. The only things I didn't like we're that the Jets on the hot tub were extremely violent and not relaxing. The only option was off or full blast. And also breakfast ends at 9.30AM. I think it should last a little longer. I did have a great trip thanks to country inn and suites and I will visit again! Thank you!

Excellent staff in a beautiful location. The breakfast was generous and delicious. The room was generally comfortable, though the Wi-Fi in the hotel was too slow to be practical.

I made a reservation for a room around 4:00 a. M. Valentine's day morning. Despite the time of night, the attendant was very polite, and made it very easy to reserve a room. Check-in was very easy, and again, staff was very friendly. After checking in, I found that there was complementary coffee and hot chocolate for guests. The entire building was very clean and well kept. Facilities such as the pool and hot tub were also very clean and well kept. I especially liked that all of the inspection paperwork for the pool and hotub are posted for guests to see. Our room was again, clean and well kept. The complementary breakfast was without a doubt the best I've had at a hotel. The freshness of the food, the extensive variety, and clean dining room (despite the renovations going on) made for a great breakfast. And again, they had their 96 health inspection score posted for guests to see. I defiantly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Helen, GA.
