Reviews of Artmore Hotel 3*
Me and a friend booked the hotel through a 3rd party site, when checking into the hotel the "manager" Donel tried to charge us the full amount even though we paid through booking. Com. We called booking. Com to verify that our payment went through and it did. We put a representative on speaker to talk to Donel and he said the payment did not process on his end but the representative from booking said it did. Donel then told us to "put the card in the machine and JUST pay for it". After we told him no, he then told us there is no rooms available. We then asked to talk to another manager and he told us that "he is the manager". We were left to find another hotel at 1am. Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable.
This hotel was the worst. Our check — in was for 4pm and our room wasn't ready. Waited for over an hour for our room to be cleaned. The receptionist was basically running the whole hotel by herself with a line out the door. She was getting frustrated and couldn't explain why our room was taking so long to be clean. Instead she was bragging about her many degrees she has and that's why she has this job. Just ridiculous what we had to go through and still didn't get a room. Plus the parking garage is a nightmare. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!
Beautiful older hotel! I’m a huge fan of History. Right by all the action here in Atlanta. Staff was absolutely wonderful.
It’s okay. More like a 3/4 star hotel. It’s dated. Lot of things not currently working like the water filling station in the workout rooms. Bathroom door jammed. No laundry bags. Nice staff and clean tho if that’s all you need. Vallet was full so we had to use a caddy corner parking deck $16/day that was for a Friday night.
Had a lovely night stay. Great atmosphere and very romantic.
Rate was 3 times the original Priceline rate after all was done. Charged a $75 pet fee per night. Parking was an additional $20. Less than stellar greeting and no enthusiasm from staff. The girl training was better than the person training her. We won’t stay here when back through ATL.
I do not recommend this hotel. I stayed here for one night in April 2022 and the valet attendant caused $2, 200 worth of damage to my vehicle and withheld the information from me. The hotel repeatedly stated that this is not their problem and they will not help at all. They referred me to their parking company which also refused to help. No one has ever apologized or accepted any blame. This hotel is run very poorly with absolutely no customer service. Kaya, the general manager, is very unreachable and not willing to even speak with me about the damage. And their parking company, 180 Parking is the same exact way. Very disappointing. I recommend to stay away from this hotel.
🚩🚩🚩WARNING! 🚩🚩🚩 I have never had such an awful experience attempting to check in at a hotel in my entire adult life. Not only is the front desk staff member rude, he is very unhelpful. The hotel room key card machine is broken, and seems to have been broken for some time, according to Google Reviews. I booked a night for my Birthday via HotelTonight and the front desk staff member accused me of not paying for my reservation. He also repeatedly mumbled under his breath that I shouldn't book a room if I can't afford it. At that point. I had called HT and the agent on the line confirmed that I had paid for the booking and offered to fix the issue with their site jot recognizing my payment. I decided to cancel my booking and walked out. I was there for less than 30 minutes and knew this was no longer the Artmore Hotel I had enjoyed staying at years ago. For anyone hoping to enjoy a stay at the Artmore Hotel, I warn you to just not put yourself through the potential humiliation that I experienced earlier tonight. Happy Birthday to me. 😥
My wife and I stayed here this past Monday. I have zero complaints. We loved the Loft Suite, the roominess, the bathroom/shower, and the bed was super comfortable. Every staff member I met was kind and helpful. We will definitely return since we hated to leave. The location is great too. Anyway, that’s my honest review based on our stay.
Rooms aren’t worth what they charge. Leaky bath tub faucet and parking is atrocious. Night auditor was walking around in just his socks and no shoes.
There is no parking here. Public parking is across the street to the left, but there is little to no signage.
Ms. Kiki, head of housekeeping, was a delight and so sweet to us after a "manager" named 'Donald' was excruciatingly rude to us and other guests, causing some to walk out behind us. 'Donald' was hiding in his office, and we had to walk around the hotel looking for someone who worked there. After we found someone in housekeeping and asked them if anyone was working in the lobby, Donald walked out with an attitude and said "Does this look like a hotel lobby to you? If you stood at the desk (where he was *not*), I would have come out to help you. " After about an hour of "refusing to book" us and a very heated conversation, even though we had a reservation, he eventually booked us in and apparently quit. His attitude set the tone for the evening, and I really hope he is no longer employed with you as his attitude is embarrassing and unfit to represent a hotel.
There is no vending and no drinking water available in this hotel. There is no store within walking distance to get a bottle of water. The business center is about 90 degrees. There are no disinfecting wipes and no water in the gym facility. No desk in the room, which is only an issue because the business center is 90 degrees. These things have very simple solutions. If they were done it would be a GREAT place to stay. It is the most convenient hotel for SCAD-Atlanta. Staff is awesome.
The hotel is very nice, clean, & comfortable. Justin is an awesome bartender, super nice, professional, & an all-around fun person!
Hotel is very nice & retro. Tameka took such good care of us! Justin, the bartender, is worth the stay! Great service & conversation!
Awesome location and very clean.
The staff was friendly and helpful to our needs. The building is nearly 100 years old with a courtyard that almost makes one forget they are in the middle of a major city. The Spanish architecture is lovely.
At check-in 3/20/21 @ 8pm, Otha was incredibly rude, yelled at paying customers about no parking and he snapped when asked where he reccomend and then proceeded to scream he would just cancel our reservation. While he was trying to sell parking permits, which the spots are incredibly small and tight, the garage door wouldn't open, he then proceeded to scream at the customer because it would not open and told him to find other parking… after selling him a parking pass. We did cancel our reservation after trying to find other parking but we couldn't, but based on HIM and the awful attitude he had towards everyone in the office as well as leaving 6 customers in the office for 20 min with a sign up to wait, we drove 4 hours back home. I've worked at a hotel before, I understand things get crazy, but the refusal to be anything but a jerk to everyone is unacceptable. I will be making complaints to everyone and urge you NOT to stay here and save your money for ANY other place.
This is a very Historical Hotel & it is truly a Beautiful place to stay, A definite must see to those whom haven't…
Privacy Quiet and just a beautiful relaxing atmosphere…
The room is very small, but what's worse is there is absolutely no where to park.
Enjoyed our stay here for one night for a nearby musical event. Very nice place. Room was clean and nice and love the Aveda products provided. Also, love the lighting in the bathroom. It's nice white light that I love. Had a little bite to eat and a glass of Justin Cab with my husband and our friend down at the hotel bar. Would of loved to enjoy the ambience of the courtyard but rain had been in our area for the short time we were there. Rooms are a great size for the double room we had. Had a mini kitchenette and Keurig machine for your cup of coffee. We will definitely keep this place in mind if we are in the area again.
Great place, love it, very clean an great staff.
Loved staying here. Great room, more like an apartment, lots of light in room. Lounge area felt very homey. Much better than a corporate stay on business. Sequoyah was such a delight, as were the rest of the staff. Thanks for preparing my dinners, Reggie. Definitely would plan to stay here again, 1/2 block to MARTA & a home away from home.
What a wonderful experience! I cannot day enough about the staff at the Artmore Hotel. They made us feel so welcome and allowed little extras that made a world of difference. Our suite was well appointed and had everything we needed. Jared at the front desk was very nice and our housekeeper was super friendly and helpful. Thank you!
These people went above and beyond to make sure our sons wedding went off without a hitch. The courtyard was swept and pressure washed and then swept again Sasha was amazing. The pictures came out beautiful. Thank you so much.
Very good experience, loved every minute of it.
The room was BEAUTIFUL! Staff was super nice as well.
I'm totally blown away at this little hidden secret in Atlanta
I have stayed in some very high dollar hotels but I have never been treated so kindly by this group of people.
THEIR STAFF, IS BY FAR, THE FRIENDLIEST & MOST CARING, I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED
I brought my two grandchildren here for a joint birthday stay. They live in Augusta and I'm in Atlanta
We were treated like VIPS
Seriously, I was like, wow!
I'm a picky person. I like clean, I like respectful folks and these people are incredible
Thank you ARTMORE!
I LOVE YOU GUYS
WE WILL BE BACK!
I was on support for H&M at Atlantic Station for two weeks. All employees were the best. Treated very well by all. While we were there. A film was being with Robin Givens. I def, would recommend. If you like history and older buildings, you’ll love this place.
Easy access to marta, restaurants, midtown… breakfast was very good. Rooms are comfy. Bathrooms are older but that's part of the charm. Excellent drinks at the bar.
Quirky older hotel with lots of charm and a great location. We will definitely stay there again!
I feel a star rating is a little unfair in our case. We stayed here as a close hotel for Dragon Con. The location was wonderful for us since the Marta was almost right across the street. We were not a fan of the mandatory $24/night valet parking, but there were not other viable options for us, given the reports of break-ins from other reviews, so we had to eat that extra cost. Nevertheless, our check-in experience was speedy and courteous. The somewhat narrow halls were lined with art about music icons. We found our room to be quite small, though we had a large bathroom. Since most of our time was going to be outside the hotel, the size didn't bother us at all. Sleeping will be a bit of a pain for anyone who is a light sleeper or needs the environment to be quiet to go to sleep. The air unit was right next to the bed and was a bit loud, plus the walls and ceiling seemed quite thin, and being on the first floor allowed us to almost distinctly hear conversations from outside in the courtyard. I would relate this to visiting someone's home where the tenants are still up rather than a hotel that is built for blocking sounds. We did have trouble with the room keys on two occasions but the staff was able to help both times. We did not take part in the optional breakfast or the bar built in. Aside from getting to sleep, the rest of our time here was very nice.
This hotel used to be amazing. Every year they keep taking away more amenities and changing the rooms to have less features (no jet tubs in the suites, no full kitchens in the suites … seriously, why the hell is it a 'suite" if it is just a room with a bed and it has nothing special in it) and charging more money. Been a customer consistently at this hotel for the last 13 years. Starting to be very disappointed and probably looking elsewhere in the future. I hear they are building a nice hotel on the other side of Center Stage in Midtown so maybe I'll look there instead.
The Artmore Hotel was lovely. The front desk staff was helpful and quick. The decor was unique and welcoming. Our room had an unexpected extra dining space and plenty of room for 3 people staying 2 nights. The only complaint comes with the valet service. The space out front of the hotel was minimal and we were told by staff to go find our own car in the valet garage on one occassion because valets were no where to be found.
We stayed here on a Saturday night (8/18). Woke up to a call from the valet manager telling us the back window of our car was broken out and the car had been gone through. When I spoke to him face to face and asked if this happens a lot he told me, “This is only the SECOND time. ” We were also informed that because it was a full size truck, it didn’t fit in the garage, so it was left in an unsecured parking lot (no gate, no cameras, no warning when we handed over the keys that’s where it’d be). When the police officer showed up to file our report, he told us that in fact it was the 14th time he has been to this hotel THIS MONTH and ELEVEN of those calls were for car break ins. I confronted the valet manager about them paying for our window, since the car was left in their care (with no other options presented) and all he could offer was the valet slip that states they are not responsible for basically anything (even though they did not leave our car where they told us it would be) and to wave our $24 valet charge. I get it, big city, can’t control the crime, BUT when you only offer valet parking for your hotel, a service they we are paying for on top of a room, you need to be sure your patrons vehicles are secure. If we would have known during our arrival that our car was going to be basically left on the street, we would have made other arrangements and probably not be shelling out hundreds of dollars for a new window.
The room I stayed in was quite quaint, but it had a gorgeous view with a very comfortable bed in a surprisingly quiet location. I enjoyed roaming the hallways to see what all celebrities & quotes were depicted on the walls, & all of the staff were incredibly sweet & courteous. They bent over backwards to make sure I was completely comfortable & had everything I needed when I needed it, even to the point of sacrificing their own comforts, which I absolutely did not anticipate nor expect. Some aspects of the building need a little updating but, for the most part, the Artmore is very modern & elegant with prices that don't bludgeon the bank account — especially since you're nestled in the heart if the arts district. I loved the Artmore & would not hesitate to stay here again.
DISCRIMINATION! I don’t know about everyones else experience but my family was treated as unwanted guess from the beginning. The hotel is located in midtown Atlanta. I believe they are only used to certain type of customers. They believed we where trash so that is exactly how they treated us, when in fact they where all unprofessional Very rude staff! From valet to house keeping they didn’t want to park our car. They where rude about our room. My family and I stayed and was discriminated against. They did not even try to hide it! No courtesy we where treated as unwanted guest. I guess they only want certain type of people in this hotel. When you treat guest or people Period that way you can expect someone to be frustrated.
A unique property with fantastic staff! Even though the computer system had crashed the check-in was handled very well by employees who are clearly competent. The room was very nicely done with everything I would expect and impeccably clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was very decent. In while I am new the staff especially Quarry, we're absolutely fantastic. Even grabbing and item for me I forgot to take with me to my room and having the car ready for me when I came back to depart in the morning. I'm hoping to have her return trip to Atlanta soon and I absolutely would consider this my first choice.
My husband and I love the Artmore Hotel. We stayed in a suite our wedding night after getting married in Piedmont Park. The room was spacious and clean and the staff was amazing! A group of family and friends came after the reception to have drinks in the beautiful courtyard around the stunning fire. It was a perfect night to remember. We appreciated the kindness and person ability of the Artmore Hotel team (Especially Michael Ruiz) and have stayed there twice since. Highly recommend!
Conveniently located, clean, and cute boutique hotel in midtown. We stayed one night to attend a concert at the center stage venue just down the street. A lot of good restaurants were within walking distance and public transportation was on the same street. The hotel itself was clean with a lot of fun celebrity decor and a cute courtyard with a fountain that has a fire at night to keep warm. We didn't partake but there was a bar and restaurant on site with good options. Valet parking was $24 and the shower had no walls, just a curtain separating it from the rest of the bathroom so it can get a little messy but the water pressure was too low to for it to really be an issue. Not a lot of vanity space to put your toiletries in the bathroom, but it served our purpose well enough. Overall a little pricey for the hotel itself but you pay for location and the quaint experience.
Very beautiful artful and tasteful hotel. Great meals and the bartender made some of the best drinks I've ever had. (Did not skimp on alcohol either). The only shown part was the parking. Didn't know I would have to pay upwards of 25 for parking. Also I was told I could take a picture of my parking ticket and I did but then I was told they needed my parking ticket when I checked out which was another $10 fee. But the starti was extremely relaxing and breakfast was decent not included either though.
I wanted to love this hotel but can’t. While the staff is friendly, rooms are spacious, and location is great, there were two major flaws. First, the curtains didn’t remotely cover the window, and there are bright lights outside at night, so I did not sleep well. Second, though no event seemed to be happening, people seem to linger a lot in the hallways, and you can hear every single word while in the room with the door closed. This happened both nights — Monday and Tuesday too, so not when you’d expect a partying crowd. Maybe it was a fluke, but I will stay elsewhere next time. The small curtains alone are a deal-breaker.
My room was a suite on the 3rd floor in a very lovely duplex layout. I loved that the entrance/sitting room was on the 1st floor which offered excellent privacy away from the bedroom which was on the 2nd floor up a set of switchback steps. There was a nice little walk-in kitchen off the sitting room with a regular sized refrigerator, full-sized stove and microwave. The bedroom upstairs was huge with plenty of room to do floor exercises. The ceiling was attic-like so it did slope down rather low in the corners so tall individuals might have to watch their heads when getting out of one side of the bed. The windows in this room we're skylights with views of a few nearby high rise buildings but for the most part it was sky. The staff was very friendly and made my stay pleasant. The MARTA station is one block away and it took only 15 minutes via the train to get back to the airport. If I ever have an extended stay in Atlanta this would be one of my preferred hotels.
Last minute reservation at an amazing price! Older hotel with an art deco flare! Amazing nostalgic decor and valet parking. Clean and great atrium. Didn't give it 5 stars because the shower just sprays water onto the same floor as the rest of the bathroom with no containing it. The floor soaks everything so be careful. Also, there's not a vending machine area on each floor. Other than that, bad fluffy and amenities in the room were sufficient. Will stay there again for sure!
The first impression was extremely good. We were greeted happily.
The hotel room was extremely cool. We looked directly at the street in front of DME hotel.
I would recommend the hotel to others, because it is different from other. It's older than other hotels.
Visit: 21.4-23.4.2018
My daughter and I stayed at the Artmore in the spring. We loved this hotel so much we did not want to leave… The staff was wonderful, especially Felicia. We cut time and had breakfast in the morning there and boy we were not disappointed… so many choices and the grits was the best we’ve had in while. The place was so inviting. The bar, the courtyard with the fire pit ambience was too perfect to describe. We rented a car but left it in valet because we took the shuttle to the main shopping plaza. The art museum was a walk away. There is not enough pages to describe how wonderful our stay was. Just stay a night and you are sure to be a returning guest like every other first time guest. Oh, we loved the art decor of all the favorites like Micheal Jackson, Billy Idol, Madonna and my favorite Marilyn Monroe even in our suite in black and white… Fantastic!
Service was very good. Fantastic — large room — well worth the money. A bit of a hiccup on check in, but it was promptly handled — and we got in our room by the 4pm check-in time. (others were complaining — about showing up 2-3 hours early. WHY? Check in is 4pm? Take a chill pill! ) We also liked the unique old-school quality — non chain business. We will come back when in the area.
Great hotel but very old school. The rooms were very modern and renovated but still old in a sense that the floors are creaky. The design of the room was really awesome and I like staying there a lot. I would totally recommend this to anyone who wants to stay there for any reason.
We have 5 kids and had to be on a movie set late at night and early in the morning. The hotel was beautiful with old world charm you can only really appreciate if you like historical buildings. Everything was clean, in working order, the staff was friendly especially Waquin. I had several very exhausted children who had never filmed before, the staff was so accommodating getting us anything we needed. We were so tired we didn't get to enjoy the courtyard. Maybe next time :)
Not a bad stay overall, despite some aesthetic issues. My room was really small, bathroom was incredibly tiny, walls were very thin, floor was rather creaky, toilet ran constantly, paint was chipping/peeling in a lot of places, sink was detaching from the wall, and the smell of the cleaning spray was headache-inducing. Outside of those things, the hotel was pretty and clean, staff was friendly, and it was in a good location. The major bummers of this place was that you definitely cannot stay here if you are in a wheelchair and parking is expensive. There is a big flight of stairs to get in the hotel and then the elevator is located down a long narrow hallway the furthest spot from the front desk. The parking is valet (you really don't have a choice) and is $25 a night, which is beyond absurd. I didn't know that valet was required or I would have been much more prepared. Having someone walk up and start tugging on your door handle is really disconcerting but once I knew what was going on, I did appreciate that he got the door and bags for us each time we came or went. Our valet guy was really nice, rushed around to help people, and seemed genuinely interested in making his guests happy. Someone, possibly him, did mess with settings in the car, and did play with our CD player, but unlike other reviewers, we didn't find anything missing. There was only ever one person working and there could be a long line at times.
This is my second time staying at the Artmore and as usual, the staff have been exceptional. My room was very close to the lobby and bar this time and so could hear noise when there was a gathering of people. For me this isn’t a problem as I like to hear people having fun and sleep very deeply but word of warning to light sleepers, I’d recommend requesting a room further away. Room itself is fine, comfortable and clean. Big shout out to Lea who runs the bar and kitchen some days — she makes me feel so welcome and like I have a personal friend I can chat and have a laugh with when I’m on a solo work trip. Thanks Lea!
Despite a significant error in rooming which was fixed after the first of 4 nights, I did appreciate the kitchen, spacings, and kitchen of our third floor loft room. The pop art style/thematic of the whole place was appealing, and the little stylings of old films, colored lights, and classy colors were more characteristic than a chain hotel. The service and cleanliness were not outstanding and immaculate but I did appreciate the subtley creative atmosphere. Wasn't 5 star but I don't have much to really complain about.
Absolutely loved this place. Beautiful artistic decor. Friendly staff. Gorgeous rooms. Valet parking. And all door a great price! I'm in love. The fountain with the fire on to was my favorite spot. This place is definitely my most favorite cozy spot! Love The Artmore!
Love the decorations! The hotel is very conveniently located. The staff is very friendly and amenable. The interior of the rooms is just as nicely decorated as the lobby. Very comfortable beds, very clean, very well taken care of hotel. Would highly recommend it. Also, the courtyard is just stunning.
I have enjoyed the cocktail bar here on several occasions. It seems empty, but I like that. I gave a $30 Loaf Deal to a friend to let her try it out. She called ahead to see if she had to print it or could use her phone. The Artmore manager informed her they would not honor it because "they did it last year. " Well, too bad! You should have chosen a sooner expiration date. The expiration date is still over a week off and by Georgia law, even if it expired, you owe the paid value of $15 for 5 years. So you put out this deal to bring in diners and then decide to drive away business by behaving like crooks? Smart. Lucky for me and my friends that there are plenty of honest places in Midtown to get a good cocktail.
At check in the room I booked was not available. The desk clerk never mentioned this and sent me up to a room with 2 double beds. I booked a 2 bedroom suite.
When I called down to discuss the fact that this was intact not the room I booked, I was informed the room I reserved was not available.
The clerk did not offer any rate change or compensation for the error. I inquired about a rate change and was gives $25 off my rate.
Furthermore, the room was dirty. There was hair all over the bathroom and red/brown smears on the dead bolt, window, and bathroom cabinet.
I have emailed the hotel twice about my experience and never received a response.
Outstanding! The hubs and I love this place. The room was modern and well appointed. It came with a wet bar, microwave, and mini fridge. It had a nice desk, and the pop art decor was awesome. It was super clean, and the staff were very nice. The architecture and courtyard we’re on point for being in the Arts District. Location was convenient to the MARTA, and there was a nice lobby bar/lounge on the first floor. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place!
Weekend with family was great but not my experience at the Artmore unfortunately. Staff was so so overall. We were forced to valet park and I removed everything from the car except a second purse which contained some very nice items. The same valet person that parked my car returned it to me the next morning. My purse was gone. I contacted the front desk at the hotel and was told there was nothing they could do since they sub-contract the service. Yet they charged my room bill $24 for parking. I also contacted the valet company and they essentially did nothing. I trusted the hotel to have honest staff and to at least address my issue. They were quick to do nothing. I always give good reviews so this is a first for me.
Great hotel but very old school. The rooms were very modern and renovated but still old in a sense that the floors are creaky. The design of the room was really awesome and I like staying there a lot. I would totally recommend this to anyone who wants to stay there for any reason by themselves or get a hooker Etc.
With brightly colored stucco walls, unique architecture, an incredible courtyard, and a dreamy garden tent, the Artmore Hotel is as charming as it gets. The ambiance leaves you feeling engulfed in an exotic location and almost makes you forget you're right in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. The photo opportunities are bountiful, the staff pleasant, and everything worthy of 5 stars. We can't wait to photograph here again!
The staff at the Artmore were welcoming, friendly and helpful. This hotel was a unique and fun stay in a beautiful historic building. The rooms were clean and fresh. Parking is valet only which is why I’m giving it 4/5 stars. However it is in a great location in the heart of midtown Atlanta. I do believe the hotel is haunted, I had a true paranormal experience on the third floor. I was previously a skeptic…
Overall it was decent, for the price however it was disappointing. The bed was firm and had a cardboard box like feel (with a thin mattress topper or something on it). The Wi-Fi however was great, I got like 70 mbs down consistently so that was a plus. There is a single cramped elevator with like a max capacity of 4-5 people and it is used not only by guests but hotel staff to go to the lower floors for work. So take the stairs when you can. There is a decent kitchenette in the room so if you had any leftovers or anything you can use that.
A old style, full of character hotel, situated in a modern urban environment provides a great place to decompress at the end of the day. The rooms have a few more noises than a new place would but it just adds to the charm. Welcoming staff and clean rooms.
My wife woke me up at 1 AM telling me that she had just kicked a cockroach off her legs (in the bed). I looked up and sure enough, that one had friends. I jumped out of bed thinking that there was gonna be a fight, but it turns out the roaches are more accommodating than the staff. One of them even hung out long enough for us to get pictures and video. We took this evidence to the desk requesting a refund. The night manager was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. Refused to facilitate a refund, even though I showed her the video and she acknowledged that there were roaches. I'm still fighting with Hotels. Com to work out a refund because Artmore is trying to block it. This is by far, I don't say that lightly, by far the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. I would avoid this place at absolutely all costs, unless you are a disgusting segmented Godzilla sized bug monster. Apparently its the place to be for those.
I've stayed in quite a few hotels in my time, but the Artmore has been without a doubt one of my best experiences. Painstaking detail in the design of every room, reasonable prices at the bar, great views, and friendly staff. 10/10
Room was okay, though temperature in the room was frigid @ 66° and I couldn’t figure out how to turn it up. Breakfast was meh, not worth $10 but edible, and acceptable considering there are no other breakfast options in walking distance. 2 out of 3 front desk staff was surly bordering on rude. The barkeep is awesome though, the art in the hallways is pretty cool, and the courtyard with fountain is lovely.
The Artmore Hotel was very historic looking from the front. Lobby and guest common areas were excellent and friendly. The central courtyard with water/fire fountain and natural setting was beautiful. The building is old and could use some renovations. Overall, this was a pleasant stay for one night.
Two blocs from MARTA, so it's easy to get to from the airport, and the MARTA is only $6 for a round trip ticket. It's not a fancy place, and the rooms could use some updating, but the bed and pillows were great. My room (210) had a little kitchen, coffee machine, microwave, fridge and freezer. The $10 breakfast was not very good. Eggs were greasy and not very many options for someone who doesn't eat a lot of carbs. I would skip that next time, but I would stay here again because it's a good price and close to MARTA.
I had an unfortunate event of having a malfunctioning door lock in my room. However, the concierge was quick to answer my call and send someone immediately to my room to address the issue. My lock was fixed and good to go in less than 30 min. I am pleased with the response time and quick resolution from the folks at this hotel. The room was also very clean and had a lot of room.
Super chic style and amazing location. Whenever some friends of the family of mine come to town they always stay there and love it. Lobby and bar have nice atmospheres, and I have heard good things about breakfast.
VERY nice customer service, from every single person we interacted with. Great duplex room with skylights and comfy bed. Spacious and clean. Breakfast was a pleasure surprise-Not just a skimpy selection of toast and juice — instead there were eggs, grits, French toast and more! Also an easy drive from the airport. Great great great :)
Loved this hotel, half way point between Florida and Ohio. The hotel has was a great balance between preserving it's history and a few new touches. Rooms were clean and spacious. Hotel staff were all wonderful. Thanks for a good night sleep too.
Best stay since New Orleans several years ago! The two story Suite is amazing and the patio absolutely breathtaking! Hotel staff was wonderful… incredibly accommodating! We LOVE the artwork and decor! Can't wait for a return visit to have more time to relax on the patio with a glass of wine! Thank you for an incredible stay!
Nice hotel. Good location. $100 surprise "incidental" fee, not cool. When I told the guy at the front desk there was no such thing mentioned when I made the reservation, he just stared at me and then said, "so do you still want to check in? " Ummm, I drove three hours and have already paid for the room, of course I still want to check in. Then I call 2 days later to see where my money is, because the guy also told me it "goes right back on your card, " and was informed it takes 7-10 business days for the refund. What a joke. Hold 100 dollars for 7-10 for one night in a room? I won't stay again. There are PLENTY of other nice hotels in the area. Oh, park yourself in their lot for free. Skip the $24/night valet fee. They are just going to park your car 15 feet from the door anyway in an uncovered gravel lot. Might as well do it yourself and save.
Very polite and wonderful staff. Great breakfast. Awesome jazz on Friday nights. Rooms were small older but very clean. It is a historical place so we expected that. Overall we loved it.
Stopped by for a few drinks after visiting the High Museum. Nice place with a relaxed atmosphere.
Went for my birthday last year and the area was so beautiful very convent to all of Atlanta attraction. They were so nice, they also keep me up to date. On the current events available in atlanta. I plan on coming back for my birthday this weekend and part take in the event provided from them about st patricks day. Hands down best hotel.
Room was spacious and had a kitchenette, nice surprise. Cool décor in the hotel. Good location.
Tiny elevator, uneven floors, but cool bi-level layout. Like a little condo. Pretty cool with great view!
Great food at atmosphere. Pricey however. Did not stay only attended the bar and lounge area.
Our original room had two floors which they call a loft. It had three sets of stairs in the room itself so in order to get to the upper level room, where the bed and bathroom are, you have to haul your bags up. (All loft rooms should come with a valet for the bags). And that is a big issue. There are lots of stairs in this place, starting with the entry, and there are no bellboys. Couldn't drop a ten dollar bill on someone for help if I wanted too. Back to the stay. I thought, ok this is kind of cool but shortly after hauling the bags up we discovered the thermostat did not work so they moved us to a smaller room on the floor below. Then I say "they moved us" I mean figuratively because… When we went downstairs to work out moving they handed us our keys at and left it at that. No offer of help. Oh joy, new room has thermostat issues. We finally figured out that the AC comes on about 6 minutes after you lower the temp. Weird. No really — about a 6 minute lag. Shower in the morning — shower vacillated from normal to scalding hot to freezing cold 3 times during a short shower. I actually screamed. Went down for coffee and there was none. They very nicely took my wife to C level where we were given two cups of burnt coffee and rancid cream to go in them. I'll never forget that first sip. Also, when we woke up on day one there was a strange loud buzzing coming from the ceiling. Never did figure that one out. It lowered a little during the day.
I got surprise charged $20 for "valet parking" of my car. My car was moved 4 feet and didnt leave the front of the hotel the entire night and following morning. Clean beds but poorly built doors and rooms.
Located in midtown Atlanta, The Artmore ended up being a pleasant surprisingly nice hotel with an upscale, classy feel at reasonable prices. Nice setup and decor.
Parking for hotel guest $19.90! They charge you $10.00 for the worst breakfast They try to charge me a extra $7.00 a night for " change in room charge" what ever that means. Nobody could explain the charge, they took it of the bill but charged it to my CC anyway. I recommend to change the name of the hotel to "The rip off hotel"
I haven't even made it there and the staff has pissed me off. Booked my room via Booking. Com and found a better rate 60 min later. Called Booking and they refused to make adjustments and hotel refused to make adjustments. Horrible customer service. If I could cancel without being charged I would. I need a room for the night so that's what it's going to be. Shop around for better pricing. Staff is unbelievably uncooperative.
Hl yup type yloutsoY km :) h Uh.
Very pretty hotel but the staff here are downright rude and poorly trained. I hope the owner of the hotel reads these reviews, because there's a consistent issue here. The staff need to be replaced, or trained better. Simple things like leaving a message for someone staying at the hotel is a chore. Will not be staying here again. I would find somewhere else if I were you. It's okay if you need a place for just a night.
Let me first start by saying I have yet to arrive to my room. I booked my room over a month ago by phone and requested to pay by cash. I spoke with a super nice girl and she was very helpful. One month later I realized my boyfriend would not be getting off work early and called to make sure we could check in late (around midnight) and that our room would still be available. I spoke with another lady on 02/20/15 and was told that would not be a problem. She asked if I would still be paying by cash, I told her yes. I then called again on 02/26/15 to make sure they had the notes in the system as the weather has been bad and I did not want to drive 2+ hours and not have a room to say in. When I checked my bank account (02/27/15) I discovered a pending charged for an amount I didn't know about. After calling my bank I discovered The Artmore charged my card without permission and when I called to ask about it. I was told they could refund my money but it would take 3-5 business days. And that there was no note of me paying by cash (yet she could read notes back stating I had said I would be paying by cash and arriving late). April the front desk manager kept telling me she was sorry for the miss communication. How do you miss communicate when I called repeatedly? I am beyond mad. If I could cancel my room (and not be charged) and find another place to stay I would. I don't feel like they wanted to fix the problem.
The second start is for the hotel, it is amazing. The staff not so much, I have included my orbitz review of this hotel: Well, I came to the hotel about 10 mins before check-in, as I was intending to make the room ready for a romantic tryst later in the evening. I was told the room would be ready in about 15 mins, which seemed reasonable. Then some D-list VIP came in behind me, and as I was sitting by the counter I heard them told the same thing, about 15 min wait for the room. After that person and their 10 bags left the counter I immediately heard the attendant call the housekeeping service and instruct them to make up the new person's 2 bedroom suit. One hour later that person got her room and 15 mins after that I got mine (after a full 1hr and 15mins of waiting). Honestly, if they would have told me it would be that long, I would have volunteered to clean the room myself. When I got to the room, it was fantastic. It is such a shame that the staff of the place, minus the bartenders, are awful to the point of embarrassment. In addition to wasting over an hour of my time, they double charged me for the room and now I am having to address that matter with my bank.
It is a small, independent hotel and it definitely feels like it! The management seems to have no idea about how to go about guest satisfaction. During our stay, there was what seemed like an impromptu wedding being held in the center courtyard. This resulted in the blasting of R&B music for hours on end for all the guests to hear in their rooms. Even when we called down to the front desk to let them know that we could hear (not sort of hear, like front row at the concert hear) the music, management did little to solve the problem. Small things that usually go a long way during a hotel stay were missing during this experience. There was no concierge, room leaflets to discuss local eateries (pizza, take out etc. ). We had no robes. There was dust on the curtains. There was one elevator for the entire hotel to share. We could hear staff stomping down, and loudly complaining in, the halls. We also lucked up and happened to stay during a cheer leading competition. The room above us kept us up with what sounded like flips and other gymnastic routines that shook the ceiling. Again, we called the desk and asked politely if there was anything that could be done. More niceties and still no action. This was supposed to be a Valentine's surprise for me from my partner but ended in her disappointment and my rage! It's a cute idea, having a hotel in the middle of Midtown but this was poorly executed. Save your money and your time and go elsewhere.
I am not sure where to even begin with this review. I was looking for something special for a mother/daughter weekend with my daughter in Atlanta. I decided instead of going with a large chain hotel like I normally do, to try something different-and I am SO glad I did! Everyone that we came into contact with from valet, to front desk, to bar — was wonderfully cheerful and helpful. All the employees seemed to genuinely enjoy their job and that says a lot. The energy and ambiance is amazing. There was a jazz band out in the courtyard on Friday evening and yoga in the courtyard in the mornings. This hotel has great charm and class and was immaculate. I can't rave enough about this hotel. It was close to The Margaret Mitchell house which was on our agenda. Also, right across the street, you can catch a bus to Atlanta Station. Looking forward to staying here again in the future. I can't thank the staff enough for the hospitality. I highly recommend that you check this place out while visiting Atlanta.
Best place in town if you're wanting to visit the High Museum. It feels very "South Beach. " Overall, arty clientele. We've stayed here several times.
Staying at the Artmore is an exquisite experience! Staff are extraordinary in their courtesy and service. The facility is gorgeous and the location is perfect — easy access to the interstates and centrally located to the magnificent downtown arts scene, particularly the Woodruff Arts Center and the High Museum of Art. Da Vinci pizza is one block away for fabulous artisanal pies, and mass transit is across the street to whisk you to venues beyond easy walking distance. The Artmore is a destination hotel, not to be missed.
Great hotel. Wonderful staff — very friendly. We stayed in a loft which was perfect for our family because our two young girls could sleep upstairs while my wife and I lounged in the living area downstairs.
The lobby and downstairs seems awesome but it took me 20 minutes to get the water working properly in the shower. Also, seems to need some major work done on the rooms. My bathroom fan shook the entire floor in addition to seeing clear signs of water damage. The location is fantastic walking distance to just about everywhere. Drinks in the lobby were reasonably priced with good staff.
