I’ve produced shows many times here over the last 15 years! This property has just elevated itself to the next level! The staff is on point, kind and courteous, the result of good training and good management. The remodel was quite amazing! World class property! Room service… the Floridian and the NY Strip were perfect after a night of fun. Ballroom was beautiful, very flexible and accommodating space. The Culinary staff will not disappoint, from your extravagant wedding to your most important meeting, the Proffessional staff will impress. Food was amazing btw!

All of the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was amazing! I would highly recommend the hotel to everyone!

Love, Love the Tampa Marriott! Would definitely come back here! Life time Platinum with Marriott so I’ve seen a lot of hotels! This one is right near the top. Multiple bars and restaurants! Pool has an adjacent bar. Starbucks up front, and a super friendly desk staff to help you or answer any questions. JW Marriott across the street, and one block to Amalie Arena.

Just get a room with a balcony facing the water. Great room, great view.

We have stayed here several times and love this hotel. The historical aspect is very interesting to us. The location is fantastic and the staff is absolutely wonderful. The rooms are quite large and we have enjoyed the restaurant and bar several times. We just had all of our out-of-town guests staying here for our daughter‘s wedding. Everyone loved it!

One of our favorite places to stay! In walking distance to several great restaurants and bars. The rooms have fantastic views and the mattresses are amazing! Pool bar always has the absolute best service hands down. We can’t wait to come back!

This is honestly the best hotel in Tampa. Never had a bad time and always has amazing service.

Left my Fitbit charging in the room — gone. Wouldn’t even let me talk to housekeeping — this was the final straw after the worst customer service ever. Very expensive room got a lot more expensive after the loss of my Fitbit.

Very nice place right on the water. You have to choose water view though. Service is great and the anchor and brine outdoor bar is relaxing. A bit pricey but worth it in our opinion. Long overdue date night.

We had an emergency with our airlines and we made reservations here. 3 hours later we were able to get things straightened out and decided to head home. We only had the reservation for 3 hours and they kept ALL of our money. I get it, things are really tough! TRUST ME I GET IT! But us booking a room at 10am and canceling at 1pm didn’t cost the hotel a nights stay. Capacity is way down right now due to COVID I’m sure the room would have gone I booked anyways. We are Marriott reward members and will not be returning to any Marriotts anywhere.

Beautiful hotel and decor. My boyfriend and I stayed here from the wk to the wknd. We loved the outside bar area. Great relaxing scenery near water, yachts and palm trees. The room was nice with awesome views. We watched boats and yachts take off and come in from our balcony. We were able to walk to various restaurants, bars and eateries. Only complaint was the rug in our room was wet. Don't know if it may have been dog pee from a previous guest as I did see dogs here or what. Also the area is being built up all around with upcoming buildings so construction noise was prevalent. My boyfriend reported it upon checking out and a small portion was taken off the bill. Overall a magnificent hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Worst outside service ever. I literally had to get my own drinks from bar on a tray and serve our table. Not that busy but lousy service. That aside view atmosphere and music great.

Their bellhop team is outstanding—Brian Eichler took amazing care of our entire team when we came for a conference. It was the best hotel experience of my life. The hotel is well located, the rooms are beautiful, it is impeccably clean, and the view is exceptional. This is a must-visit property!

My husband and I had a great stay. Beautiful place. Nice, helpful workers. Had an issue with breakfast taking a very long time to be delivered up to the pool. Spoke to someone in Food and Beverage. He went above and beyond to make up for it and took great care of us. The bartenders at the pool bar were awesome. Really, no complaints. Looking forward to going again. Next visit already booked.

Very, very nice rooms and pretty good rates, and very nice amenities. The pool is nice, even though the nicer chairs are rentals ($50?! You're insane). Internet is fast, elevators are even faster, overall it's a very nice experience. Just be careful when ordering drinks at the bar, because $6.50 per bottle of Miller Lite will add of quickly.

So disappointed in my experience here. Got to the hotel and was checked into a flooded room. No apologies and had to wait 15 min to get to our next room which did not have a balcony and therefore we missed our lunch reservation. Needed to print out tickets for a concert and my sister was sent to a ups store full of caution tape and was told she couldn’t come in. Ordered room service and was told 30 min and 50 min later we called and was told it would be another 15 min. They said we could cancel and we were still charged… concierge level was open at weird hours and was advertised like an open bar, but was not. No explanations from anyone and no follow up from the twitter account either. Have stayed at many marriotts and have family who is rewards members and cannot believe how much money I wasted…

Hotel and accommodation were great. Had a small issue with drain in shower that was reported and offered to fix immediately. Very attentive to requests. Located very conveniently near restaurants and event spaces. Would absolutely stay here again.

Very cool hotel right on the water. Very big lobby with a restaurant and bar with a high ceiling. There are several meeting rooms and outdoor seating areas. You are within walking distance of Amalie Arena, home of the TB Lightning of the NHL. There are also concerts and other events held there. The TB Convention Center is directly across the street, with the light rail car right there, as well.

I arrived at 8:30 am and went in to find out where I should park as I was checking in later that day. Not only was the gentleman at reception very helpful, but he checked while we were talking and had a room available. He allowed me to get my room and I could put my belongings there. Always nice to know its not sitting in your car while you are at a convention. I also received a water view room even though I booked the opposite. It wasn't needed, but it was nice. The room was impecable. Very obvious that the staff are very thorough. I opted not to have my room serviced while I was there and they have an environment program for bonus points or planting a tree, I went with the tree. Every member of the staff I interacted with was very pleasant. It was a really great experience. If I had to pick anything that wasn't ideal for me personally I can only think of two things. The pillows were was too soft/squishy for my personal taste and the blanket on the bed was designed for sub zero temperatures. These are personal things and a stretch just to find something.

but Bed was veryyyy hard… not comfortable. Keurig didn't work. Hallway had a funky smell. Needed air fresheners to smell like the lobby.

Everything was perfect. Our room was spotless, the staff beyond friendly, and the location couldn't have been better. The location is beautiful (right on the channel) and is also very walkable. We were able to walk to and from our cruise terminal, but I wouldn't suggest it to anyone with a heavy load because it is a 15 minute walk. Breakfast the following morning was tasty, fast, and easy as well.

Its was an awesome place to stay. 25th floor overlay looking the bay. Newly renovated rooms. Will stay again. Only complaints… we ordered room service for breakfast. Normal stuff bacon, eggs etc. Also ordered 2 fruit cups. They sent 2 oatmeal instead. 8 bucks a piece. Couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. And it was a waste since either of us will eat oatmeal. 2nd complaint. Who ever cleaned the room, took all our toiletries I had laid out on the counter and put them inside my bag. Some had lids that were not closed so my stuff spilled out. Why not leave them where they were.
Will definitely return. But they need someone to answer phones to accommodate their guests.

This is a beautiful property. The amenities are varied and can accommodate nearly any taste. The hotel is located on the Tampa river walk and has a very spacious terrace overlooking the river and many boat slips. There are quality meeting spaces of varying sizes to accommodate nearly any activity from business conferences to weddings and reunions. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is a bit expensive and is valet only.

We had the balcony water view which was very nice, we stayed 3 nights. I'd give it a 4.5 star since there was an issue with our ac, our room felt muggy and uncomfortable at night. We called after 2nd night to ask them to fix-not sure if they did but on 3rd night it was slightly better.

We had a conference here. The staff that worked there are super nice and professional. If they see that we needed help we didn't even have to ask, they were already asking how they can help us. Very beautiful hotel in Tampa. Afterwards we had lunch at their restaurant downstairs and the food did not disappoint! We were able to eat out on the patio which was water front view. Will definitely be back if I need to rent a room.

This was our second stay here for concerts at Amalie Arena. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly and helpful. I loved the Keurig in our room however the box where the coffee is kept was completely empty. We tried to call housekeeping, no answer-front desk, no answer. We were told by the valet to call their extension before we came downstairs and they would have our car waiting for us. I called from the room and finally a woman answered and told me the valets were not taking anymore calls at this time. (? ) — No idea what that meant but we waited downstairs for our car. Love the hotel and location-but customer service could be stepped up a bit. Also, did try to use the app to chat with someone that could help us-guess what-no one ever came on to answer chat request.

My friends and I booked a two night stay at the Marriott Waterside for a wedding we attended. Because I needed early check in, I called 2 weeks before and they said I must call in the week of to ask if it was available, but they would make a note on my account. The week of I called and the front desk said to check back the day of and they would make a note. I called back the day of and there was no note on my account, from any previous time I called. I also explained that my name was on the room but, I was not the one who booked it and asked if I need anything to be sent or anyone to call. After 2 reminder calls, I was emailed a credit card authorization form to forward to the room holder and she promptly filled it out. She then tried to scan the form back and was told that was unacceptable. After a back and forth on her end she was able to get it resolved. Or so we thought. I got to the front desk and they informed me I had to put my credit card down (even though the room was already paid for) for incidentals and I wouldn’t be charged. At that point I didn’t care and just needed in my room. The hotel then did that to every person in our room. The Marriott put a $150-200 hold on all 4 of our cards, which totaled to double what we paid for the room. On top of that all 4 of us were constantly back and forth to reactivate our cards because apparently just walking away from the front desk deactivates them.

Visited for a mini stay-cation. We enjoyed everything. The view was amazing from the 21st floor. The location was perfect walked to bars and restaurants. The pool are was busy by 11 am on sat morning. Even received nice complementary bottle of wine from one of the house keeping managers! Will definitely be visiting again and often!

The hotel was beautiful and within walking distance to some great locations. The check in service was great and we were given a room on one of the best floors. We overlooked the water and could see the boats going in and out. It was breathtaking at night and so nice to wake up to in the morning.

Great location. Right next to Amalie arena. Pool area is exceptional. Spent a whole day there with my family relaxing by the pool, enjoying the views! Barbecue for lunch was delicious. Rooms were lovely. Balcony had nice views. Very comfortable beds. Free guest laundry facility near the pool. Starbucks in the lobby made it perfect!

This past weekend, we booked a room as a gift for my niece and her husband for what very well may be their last anniversary. Her husband is extremely ill. The entire experience with Tampa Marriott Waterside went above and beyond all of our expectations. Everything was handled as if the staff was taking care of one of their own. I cannot find enough adjectives to describe how they made them feel. I will be forever grateful for your professionalism, your concern and your care. On our jaunts through Tampa we are always looking for great places to stay, so why not somewhere on the water and close to the action at Amalie Arena. Very clean and well kept as you might expect from the Marriott brand. The pool area a bar amenities through the hotel made it very easy to catch a libation while we were running around. We'll definitely be back!

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times for the bar exam. My only complaint is that they double their normal rate for those two nights, but supply and demand I guess : (The hotel is easy to find, easy to get to, the valets are always super friendly, helpful, and smiling. The lobby is large and bright. Check in is always quick, but I use mobile check in. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. My most recent stay I was in one of their newly remodeled rooms. It was beautiful! The bathroom was gorgeous! I ordered room service breakfast which came on time and was hot. There’s not a whole lot you can say about a toasted bagel and eggs. They did cooked my over easy eggs correctly. The concierge lounge was closed for renovations, but they made accommodations with one of the restaurants in the lobby, which had an extensive breakfast buffet.

The hotel is spectacular and gigantic. It's from magazine. Pure luxury and super accessible. Nothing negative. Steps away from the marina and is in the same downtown. The food is good, the staff very attentive, all clean and shiny. Highly recommended.

Waterfront location. Lobby is very open, easy to get around. Lobby bar small, but good service. Two restaurants. The sports bar food was pretty poor. The waterfront restaurant was much better. The room was very comfortable. Two queen beds, standard amenities, but on the cheap side. (Paper cups for in room coffee service). Hotel has discontinued the spa. Walking distance to Tampa convention center, but not much else. No other nearby restaurant or shopping offerings. 20 minutes by car to anything worth going to. Staff were all pleasant, though not winning any Excellence in Customer Service awards.

Beautiful hotel! Unfortunately, there is renovations going on. Smelled adhesive and heard a lot of pounding in our room, 1830. Was very dizzy and ill for the whole day on Friday. Parking fee of $30 per day should be automatically added to hotel bill, as valet is the only option. Had to locate the cashier outside, pay in person, and then wait for the car to arrive.

Very nice lobby upon entering. Pool area was nicely done and relaxing. Hotel currently going through renovations but we were able to stay in one of the newly finished rooms and very clean and with nice finishes. Only issue was not being able to use the concierge lounge since it was closed due to renovations. Standard buffet breakfast. Outdoor patio deck looking onto the river was very relaxing.

Very beautiful hotel on the water in downtown Tampa. The prices are very high end, parking charges are "big city" ridiculous, but it is VERY convenient for any event or race going on at the convention center. I was a bit disappointed this time because of a couple of issues. We were not informed until we checked in, but the hotel is under renovation. It was impossible to nap or hang out in our room to visit until the demolition ceased at 630pm. No discounted rate of course. The new rooms are very nice. Usually with a beautiful high end high priced hotel, the clientele are mature and courteous. Unfortunately, while trying to get a very important night's sleep prior to a race, the commotion in the halls at midnight was rude.

They are currently renovating the upper level rooms and although I didn't stay up there, several of my colleagues told me those rooms were beautiful. My room was nice, clean and well stocked. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were places to eat nearby and getting transportation was easy. Uber was a short wait. Nice facility and nice stay.

Clean and comfortable. Good location near the convention center. About average for a Marriott. They didn't follow through with special requests for the rooms of me or my colleague. Pool was closed one day for a private event with no advanced notice. Water on my floor was shut off for several hours with a notice being placed under the door late the night before.

Each year we stay several nights here due to its excellent proximity to the arena. However our last stay left a lot to be desired. We dropped our car with valet and received a slip that said it would be $25 for 1 night. Okay, a bit high but okay. We then got to our room, and went to put some drinks in the fridge as we had done each year prior, only to find the fridge was chiller that didn’t function. We went down for dinner before the game. My chicken tacos were awesome! However the $10 a piece Margaritas had barely any kick. Lastly upon checkout and calling ahead for our car from valet, we had to stand in the valet line along with 30+ others to pay to get our keys. Upon paying, the 25 bill was mysteriously $30 and with a grumbly crowd behind me I didn’t press the issue. This stay was very disappointing and we now have to re-evaluate our stays for future hockey games.

Very nice, clean and good service.

Most of the stay was great, except when we arrived to our room the patio furniture had not been put back outside even after the hurricane had passed for days. So we had to place it on the balcony. The valet also took over a half-hour to get us our car as we were checking out, even though we called ahead of time to have it ready. Besides that the balcony view was nice.

Valeted my 2016 Maserati and car was returned with two small paint chips. I immediately confronted Valet and they left for 5 minutes. When they returned and claimed scratches were already there and that it was written on my valet ticket. Only problem was that the initial ticket was filled in black and this new writing about the scratch was written in blue. Neither Valet or management had an explanation for this. Car had 8k miles and was detailed that morning and I assure you there were no chips. Their dishonesty made me very upset and the managers agreed to review the security cameras. Management was able to confirm that scratches were not noted initially. To this day they still haven't paid me for the damage/claim. Horrible experience and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Only reason I give the hotel 2 stars is because they subcontract their valet services.

Our stay was very nice. The location is right across from the Convention Center, and it's a very short walk there. We had a city view and everything in our room was working well, with polite staff from check in to check out. Unfortunately, when we checked out we had to leave our luggage and some more delicate items in storage until we left earlier that day. When we retrieved our cart, a couple of our more delicate belongings had either fallen off the cart or been mishandled, resulting in some damage to the crafted items. Other than that, our experience was very nice.

Overall, Marriott Waterside was great. Nice rooms, view, and location. Showers and beds were better than I expected. Locationed right next to the conversion center means driving / parking is going to be more difficult, but the Marriott staff did their best to navigate traffic through their pickup/drop off zone. The Starbucks downstairs isn't fully stocked, but their is another Starbucks right across the street if the one in the Marriott doesn't have what you need. In the end, I will definitely be using this hotel for any events at the convention center and I would recommend others to do the same.

We picked this hotel at the last minute we needed a place to stay as we were passing through Tampa. We are so glad we picked it. We had 2 young boys that enjoyed the pool all night. The staff was amazing and friendly. They made you feel like you were in a 5 star hotel. And for less than $200 a night you cant go wrong.

It was such a beautiful hotel to stay at! Very classy, yet laid back. The staff was very nice and helpful, loved the breakfast bar! Their pool was amazing, its a salt water pool, which yields more health benefits. I would highly recommend staying if you can afford it.

We visited Champions (a sports bar) for lunch. We got a table quickly and the wait staff was knowledgeable. Our food came quickly and tasted good. Their Cuban sandwiches are decent. Decor was the usual for a sports bar. The televisions were a bit loud, making it difficult to talk to my company but that was expected.

Just finished a terrible weekend. Hotel completely unprepared for the weekend and they had a complete communication breakdown across all major operations in the hotel. Valet was completely broken all weekend. 1+ hour to get inside the hotel. So bad the Police showed up to assist on Friday and help clear traffic. Check out was just as bad with a guest who was dealing with a lost car and despite our call down ahead of time it took 1 and a half hours to get our car. No reservations at the Waterside Restaurant for the weekend. A policy change the even the Hotel GM was not aware of. Huge line waiting to collect cars and inside valet they were sorting through a pile of 50+ sets of keys on the floor. Staff completely overwhelmed and not enough of them this weekend. Assistant GM was working the luggage desk. I am a current Platinum Status and lifetime Gold with 500+ nights and 1.6 million points. I have have traveled all around the world and stayed in all Marriott types and this is easily the worst experience ever. Ready to drop rewards program over this weekend as it was so bad. They even screwed up the pool as they had two security guards and two Marriott Rep checking an out of date paper list. I was turned away once but finally got in. If there is such a fear of other hotels using the pool then get a reservation computer and a key swipe instead of using such an outdated process. Terrible experience. I would rate lower if I could.

Hotel was nice however we stayed in a handicap accessible room and the room was great the service was fantastic the balcony was good in the beer was good however the handicap accessible room was not the same quality as the other rooms we had seen. The shower head wouldn't stay up and it kept falling down while using it. Other than that the customer service was excellent and the facilities are nice.

Amazing awesome view. Friendly staff, helpful. Beautiful lobby. Wi-Fi is free as long as you sign up for a free rewards number. If you sign up for it once you're already here like I did, you just need to call down to the front desk, give them your rewards number, then they'll have you select the cheaper option when you connect to the Mariott Wi-Fi, and they told me they waive that fee because I called down with my rewards number. Just did it and it worked for me. Just make sure you call. That's kind of annoying, but at least I only have to do it once and now I know for future marriott stays. One complaint. The rooms aren't as nice looking as you'd expect with the beautiful lobby etc. Just a heads up. Doesn't bother me. But could bother a lot of people I know.

Nice little marina and outdoor patio. The gym was above average with almost all equipment needed. Great location. We were on a cruise and it was a great spot.

Has very nice channel and water views. Valet parking $24/day, but was sometimes disorganized and always slow. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were warm probably because air vent was facing towards wall by balcony door not center of room. Shower had good water pressure, but towels were not soft. Location was great with lots in walking distance and fun on game days for Lightning hockey. Housekeeping started at 8am and was very loud in hallways. Overall a good experience and would recommend.

We stayed here several time while looking for a place to live in Channelside! Never disappointed staff was Fabulous, roomso were very spacious. Right on the water at Riverwalk, Evening Entertainment and Great Food and Drinks! Love it!

Nice location. It's in Florida. Attended a town hall meeting with the company that is buying the one I work for currently. First walked in and was greeted by someone from the hotel staff and asked who I was with and told me exactly where to go. Would have been nice to be banned a card with the Wi-Fi login information since I was using one one their conference rooms. Otherwise very nice place.

We were in town for the gasparilla run, and on a recommendation decided to have lunch at their sports bar. The service was wonderful, the meal was very good. Basically it's bar food, but it was very good. You kinda know what you're getting when you go to a place like this. It was a little on the expensive side, $74 total for 2 kids into adults one picture of beer. You can tell by the layout of the place that this would be in awesome place to watch any sporting event!

Stayed on the 18th floor facing the water. Excellent view. That's about all the good really. Overall experience was lacking especially for the price. Pay for nearly everything including bottled water thats already in the room and Wi-Fi. Food on site was very overpriced. Rooms are fairly small as well. Its not a bad place to stay but it is definitely not worth it especially for a full rate room.

No Wi-Fi in the rooms unless you want to pay $16 A DAY! Wanted to charge us $3100 for four nights when our reservations said $1300… No pool access because of reservations… No hot tub. The restaurant was horrendous and the front desk advised me "we aren't tech savvy here" when I asked about the Wi-Fi not working in the lobby. No continental breakfast… Room was stay standard and view was ok.

Beautiful lobby, the view was amazing. The room that I was in was great and the acoustics were great. Didn't lack a lot just a good hotel. Needs more parking though.

I went to the Waterside as part of a music conference. The meeting rooms were very well tended to, and bathrooms were spotless. Easy access to water in every meeting room was greatly appreciated.

The Hotel itself looks very nice. In reality the walls are paper thin, the staff disinterested and the parking a nightmare. The appearance and quality just don't match given the cost per room. The "waterview" is really just the view of an apartment complex next to a canal, its not worth the upgrade. Expect long waits and hefty prices at the valet. If you book them for a private event they will bring food whenever is convenient for them so plan lots of extra time for some guests to be watching other guests eating. Again, nice appearance but the quality just isn't there in the service or the actual room (toilets run, you can hear the elevators through the walls (make sure you ask not to have a room that ends in 9… if you do your room backs up to the elevators and you will hear them all night and morning so good luck trying to get a good night sleep). I think this would be a great hotel for people who feel spending a lot of money is the same as getting something of quality instead of actually getting quality for the price.

We stayed the first week in June, and it was absolutely wonderful! My mom took me and a friend, so we got the room with 2 queen beds, 1 bathroom, and water side view! When we stepped in the room was beautiful! Carpet looked new, bathroom was clean as a whistle, beds were soooo comfy, and view was breathtaking! We were on the 12th floor, so we could see the rooftop pool, and we swam in it each day, it was soo clean! Each night we ate at Champions, the sports bar on the first floor, and the food was amazing! Checking in and out took only a few minutes! If you are planning on using Wi-Fi bring cash because it does cost. We had Busch Gardens tickets, so we were gonna go, except we didnt know how to get there, so we asked the staff if they knew the way, the woman kindly said “No, but i'll print directions! ” And she did just that! We will definintley return very soon -Brooke, 11 year old from Alabama.

I have stayed here twice in the last year, staff is very helpful and a delight to talk with. The views of the bay are great. I will stay here anytime I am in tampa.

EXCELLENT! Love this place! Only complaint I have is wish they had fridges I the rooms. What theu have are more like wine coolers. Rooms could be a little bigger for what you pay. One of the more expensive hotels in the downtown area. Family friendly.

We stayed at the Tampa Marriott for a conference in July. The positives are proximity to the conference center, the view and the pool area which is lovely and comfortable. But as for the rest, I was highly unimpressed. I have stayed in conference hotels all over this country and have traveled in the US and abroad for pleasure, so I have a wide range of hotels to compare this one to. First of all, people at the front desk were often curt and unfriendly. Second, the rooms are very small and the beds uncomfortable. There is no microwave and the mini-fridge was hidden behind a false set of drawers on the right side of the dresser, so we didn’t even discover it for two days. Coffee maker is provided, but only two cups were ever left and two coffees. If we wanted a cup later when we came back to our room, we had to hunt someone down to ask for it. Creamer was powdered. Even lower cost hotels generally use real creamers these days. It all seemed so chintzy for a hotel that is supposed to offer some level of luxury. Third, in the lobby, there were two nice containers of cold water infused with fruit every morning. But when we came in from evening events at about 9:00 pm, (it was HOT and we were thirsty) the water was already taken down. I guess that is to encourage you to buy the 4.00 bottles of Fiji water in the room. The Starbucks in the hotel is far more expensive than the one directly across the street at the Embassy Suites (2.75 for a cup of coffee vs. 1.

Horrible! Key cards fail regularly. Loud banging noises from A/C. Charged my room for parking and I don't have a car! Not to mention, the pillows smell like urine! Not sweat, but urine! Don't be fooled. It looks nice and the soap smells great, but you'll get more relaxation on a couch.

Terrible room, it never cooled off. The staff is not helpful and I have been charged twice on two separate credit cards. The elevators suck, your better off taking the stairs, if you can find them after the third floor. They do not help you park overnight for cheap. Also I was not there for the stupid hockey game, I was merely an active duty guy passing through and it looked like a cool place on the map, guess I was wrong. Do not bother calling the credit card people for this hotel, you will get a voicemail and never a call back when you leave one. Marriott. Take your money and run — should be their motto.

The service in the bar was good — but the beer was cold. The room was fine, but after a long day. We got back to our room at 7.55pm and the room had not been made up.

Instead of asking if I have a reservation, staff assumed I didnt and told me they were totally book. (hhmmm) Rooms are clean and nice but no fridge nor microwave. Rooms were kind of small. Arrived for an event and valet parking was chaotic and $24 each night. The elevators took forever and if you are on a higher floor they are full because two were out of service. The communication between staff, luggage/baggage staff and valet about policies were inconsistent. It took over 40 min for them to bring my car so I could put luggage in and park. They never gave the guys my ticket and key, too concerned if I checked out yet. They hold more than needed on credit card and took few days to adjust and charge the correct amount.

Second Stay. It will not be my last. Great service, great rooms, good food and excellent property.

Pros: nice, clean reasonable price, friendly staff, 15 min from the airport. cons: everything is extra, internet is an extra $13-16 per day. No shuttle to the airport, cab cost is $25.

This place is amazing. The staff went out of their way to make our stay a memorable event. When we checked in they asked if it was a special occasion. After telling them it was our 25th anniversary they immediately upgraded us to a king suite on the 21st floor. It had two balconies set up for breakfast with a magnificent view of the channelside area of Tampa. Additionally, they brought us chocolate covered strawberries and champagne within one hour as a gift. They were courteous, professional and friendly. The accomodations were first class all the way. The price was reasonable and I would highly recommend this hotel for a guaranteed wonderful stay. Thank you Marriott.

I was very disappointed in my experience dinning at the Waterside Grill. I was attending a conference being held at the hotel, which is quite beautiful. A group of us went into the Waterside Grill for a working lunch. We ordered simple food, sandwiches from the menu. The restaurant was not very busy, but it took more than an hour for us to get our food. The food we did get was unimpressive. I noticed that one colleague took a single bite and left the rest of his meal on the plate. The corned beef I ordered came luke warm. The waiter dropped food off the serving tray and it landed under my chair and he simply left it there. The waiter never checked to see if we needed refills on our beverages and overall seemed completely uninterested in our experience. At the end of the meal I asked to speak with a manager to voice my concerns, but my complaints feel on deaf ears and it was obvious to me that he couldn't have cared less.

Hazel was wonderful. It was our 39th anniversary and she made it amazing with her kindness. Everything was perfect from the room to the service, food and view. It is located right on the water. No detail too small for Hazel. Ask for her and she will take care of everything down to the last detail. All the staff were friendly and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable, nicely decorated. We will be returning on our 40th next year.

They're running a tight and friendly ship. Valet service is immediate and on point. Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy products in bathroom a plus. Eco friendly and a gorgeous view. Wifi is $9.95 / day or $14.95 for high speed. One con: the business center is not 24/7 and also charges money to print.
