I am in an upgraded suite and it’s the size of a broom closet. You have to walk sideways to get around the bed. The sofa bed just about touches the desk, so our daughter have to climb over it to get to the other side.

Great location and very clean and comfortable.

Small rooms, mattress are hard compared to other Hamptons, no closet, small dresser. Save your money and get better service at the Holiday Inn.

Great location, especially if Ybor is your focus. Good hotel parking (for a separate fee). Terrific breakfast. Room was clean and staff was both friendly and helpful with local information. Easy walking distance to lots of colorful eating and drinking. Not cheap, but good value.

Friendly staff. Stayed there after Paul Simon concert. The hotels car service to and from the arena was convenient and easy to use. Tony, the driver was knowledgeable about the area and came to get us quickly when we called him. He could not have been nicer even when being asked questions he must have heard many times before. Hotel room was clean bed comfortable. Would stay again.

Hampton Inn is one of the most consistent hotel experienced I've had from hotel to hotel. The staff at this location is super friendly, it is reasonable clean, and it's in a great, walkable location. I would give it five stars if it had newer accommodations and if there was a flat sheet between the blanket and bed (kind of a big deal for me, maybe not for you).

My grandma and I stayed here for a night before we left for a cruise. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Any staff we interacted with was incredibly friendly. Plus, the hotel is on the main street in Ybor and next to all of the LGBT+ locations! The morning of our cruise the hotel even had a free shuttle service to take us to the port. It was a very nice stay, and I would return here.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and in order. Shuttle service was unexpected but very appreciated. The driver was friendly and gave us tips on places to go and how to return to the hotel if the shuttle wasn't running after our event.

First off, the room is terrific. Comfortable bed, great air conditioning and quiet. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is included. Located in the heart of Ybor City. Within walking distance of restaurants, bars and movie theater The negative is the parking. There isn't enough of it. If you have someone with a disability this could be a problem. One of the staff moved their car to make room for us. Another parked in the space between disabled and was unapologetic about it. That is unconscionable.

Higher priced for a boutique version of this hotel. Just make sure that you bring a wine bottle opener because they give you a free sample bottle. They have a small store that sells various items from edible snacks, small amounts of alcohol (think 4pack vs 12pack), and impressive service, late check out, airport pick up and drop off, and heaps of other small items that make a traveler feel calm at home in their hotel room.

Great hotel in the Restavrirovanom district of PSI. Great service, a variety of breakfasts, free shuttles, there is where to go in the evening for dinner. I bet 4 on the paid parking, for the Wi-Fi, which you need to login every day.

The Rooms and Service was the best part of the hotel. Perfect room service and the housekeepers are amazing! The location would depend on your personal beliefs and opinions but based on mine, the neighborhood was fantastic. Restaurants all over the place, perfect clubs for the perfect group. My stay was just amazing.

This hotel was surprisingly nice. Close to the rail road tracks and they provided ear plugs. The hotel was safe. I really enjoyed my stay.

This hotel is definitely due for an update. The carpet in the rooms had a vinegary foot smell. Not ideal for a good night sleep. Yboar City itself is due for an entire face lift. Not sure what's going on there it's a bit funky and not in a cool way. I should add that I did stay there on the Sunday night. Although if the cheesy bars that did have stuff going on in them were out of control it would have been a hundred times worse.

What an odd layout! The main door is in the parking ramp, so it's hard to find from the street. Our room was clean, but the air conditioner was so loud it woke me up. Close to the port with free, fast transportation. And when I say fast, I mean it. The ride to the port in the shuttle was terrifying! Pretty sure the driver thought he was Mario Andretti.

I forgot to book a hotel for after a cruise, I got a fantastic rate at the Hampton Inn for a day of check in. The staff was awesome and offered an early check in and changed my room when they saw I had kids with me. I stayed in room 337, and I have zero complaints. The breakfast was really good; scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, waffles, French toast, cereal, oatmeal, and fruit were all offered during the 2 mornings I stayed. I didn't use it, but they offer a complimentary shuttle within a 3 mile radius.

Probably the friendliest staff we've had at a hotel. The concierge were knowledgeable and hilarious. Rooms were very clean and very well maintained.

We’re here on a trip. We have 6 rooms (on one tab). It took around and hour and a half to get us checked in. Then while we were at our conference the next day, one worker didn’t talk to any co-workers and thought we didn’t pay. Then proceeded to deactivated our cards. Found the paperwork but didn’t reactivate the cards. Saw her this morning, no apology.

Amenities are great. Shuttle, breakfasts. Room is fine, a bit dusty though and phone doesn't work. Only major gripe is the 40 degree freeze in the hallways. Oh, and the pool is way too cold to utilize. Nice people and close enough to Tampa General Hospital for those coming in for health issues.

The location was perfect and very close to the venue we were attending downtown. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind with anything we needed. The rooms also were extremely clean and very comfortable as well. I was very please with our entire stay.

We went to The Castle for an event on a Saturday night. The Hampton Inn is within walking distance of The Castle. Parking and check in was prompt. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a 24 hour coffee bar right next to the check-in desk. It was nice to come down to the lobby and get coffee anytime I wanted. We stayed in a room that had one queen bed and CityView. The room was pretty clean. The walls are thin so you can hear people on either side of you. I like how secure the hotel is that you have to have a key to get on the elevator, pool, or fitness center. The bed was comfortable not too hard or soft. The pool looks inviting on a hot summer day. The breakfast was pretty good except for the eggs. I made a waffle and had sausage and coffee with it. When in Ybor City we will stay here again.

Nasty green stained damp carpet, but otherwise I had a nice stay. Beds were saggy from use but still firm. No firm pillows. Nice furniture & vanity. Very loud a/c unit. Could not move showerhead against shower wall but good jet pressure. $8/night parking. Should be included in price of room.

A friend and I stayed at the Hampton Inn/Ybor city last week before cruise from Tampa. I chose this location due to its proximity to the port. It was a great choice! The hotel is older but was in excellent condition. Our room appeared to be recently remodeled. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was in excellent condition. The hotel's staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The shuttle drivers were excellent. They were very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel offers an excellent breakfast and also offers coffee service all day plus cookies and flavored water in the afternoon. There is a nice, clean pool and gym facilities. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Great location near Ybor nightlife and food. The shuttle service is awesome (hi Tony! ) and the hospitality was excellent. We had a corner room with a view of the trolley station and the Florida Brewing Co building on the other. There was a train that came through in the middle of the night — didn't bother me, but it woke the Missus. The AC was a little loud, but it worked beautifully. Definitely coming back the next time we cruise.

The only reason it did. It get a one is because I stayed in worst places as a teenager at the beach. Clientele was less than desirable. Location is low income. Hotel is low rent at s very high price. Rented a suite with king and they gave me a double. When I went to complain they said they had no king rooms. I told them that I would want my money back and book somewhere else. They found a king room.

Our stay was at Ybor City Florida, room 332 during hurricane Irma for shelter because we had to evacuate from our home with two Kitty's. Room was excellent very clean and people that work here very respectful. Morning breakfast was awesome and very professional. One personal at front desk should not have been working the front desk but other than that very professional and personal and pleasant stay. Would highly recommend to stay here.

Gem of a hotel close to great restaurants and shopping. The free shuttle is very convenient. We took it to the Amelie Arena for a concert. It will take you anywhere within three miles of the hotel. The free breakfast has a very large selection, eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, hot and cold cereal ", yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels, toast, and very good coffee. The breakfast attendant keeps everything topped up, and meticulously cleans the counter surfaces and the tables. The room was very clean, the beds were very comfy. The pool was very nice, with pool towels located nearby. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, Jasmine greeted us with a smile and recommended great places to eat near by. Will definitely stay here again.

Excellent experience! The hotel staff are helpful and friendly, especially Jasmine upon check-in! The room was clean and no issues we needed to call maintenance for which is rare… we usually have bad luck! This was our first time staying here and we will definitely come back again! We used the hotel shuttle both nights to go out then took an uber back to the hotel as it was after hours for the shuttle when we returned. The shuttle driver, Martel was awesome! He was friendly, helpful and gave us great info about the area as he drove us to our destination. He also gave us some safety tips as we ventured out for the evening. Thanks for helping make my hubby's birthday weekend extra special!

Hotel was nice but the neighborhood a bit shady at night. Staff were fairly friendly. Had one complaint to staff during our stay but wasn't really handled. Good breakfast.

Stayed here for a pre-cruise and post cruise stay. (For the 2nd time) and I must say that the location is perfect! Free shuttle to the cruise port is a plus! Free wi-if and breakfast and although a little chilly the pool was a plus as well. Lots of dining, music, and bars in the area, also if you like tattoos and cigars Ybor City is the place for you! And yes, I do enjoy the occasional cigar and well placed and planned tattoo. My suggestion: no names, unless it's your mom or kid. LOL Anyway, the staff went above and beyond both checking me in early and letting me check out late. The shuttle driver (and pool cleaning guy) is great too, please be sure to tip him as well. Thanks EVERYONE for a great stay.

We had a wonderful experience at this Hampton… we frequent hotels and this by far had one of the friendliest staff we have ever encountered… from Jasmine at our arrival offering a glass of wine or beer to Tony making my daughter fresh baked cookies! The room was spacious and clean! We took the shuttle to Ybor and had the pleasure of seeing Tony again! He was so kind to help my handicap father get on and off the shuttle bus! He was a genuine soul and picked us up after dinner within minutes of calling! Our stay was topped off with a delicious breakfast… the most amazing fajita eggs and maple sausage cooked by two of the kindest ladies! Both were such a pleasure. I would highly recommend this hotel! They certainly made us feel like we were at home!

Stayed 6 days. Planned on staying 6 nights but only stayed 1. Bathroom tub was dirty. Asked by staff if hard water stain. It was not as I removed dirt with towel and water. We did not use tub/shower after we saw that. Was offered to be moved next day to another room but did not feel comfortable staying there. Was not refunded for that night but they did cancel rest of nights. Hotel was not in the best area but was convenient to highway.

The hotel is located in downtown Tampa. Many restaurants are easy to reach on foot. The room was great and the facilities was great. At the bedside lamp even additional outlets were attached. A free gym was also included The hotel has a partnership with in addition a gym close to where you can train free of charge. The service was always nice and friendly. At the reception you got cookies passed directly. The breakfast was sumptuous.

Very friendly staff! Rooms were very clean. Outside pool was nice as well. I didnt like having to go outside in the 90 degree weather after working out. Would have been nice to stay in air conditioning. The entrance is located outside by the pool.

Very good location in Ybor city. Upgraded as Hilton Gold to a room with Jacuzzi (welcome after a day of travelling). Nothing really else comes to mind, if you have stayed at a Hampton Inn before you will know what to expect. This hotel offers free shuttle service to the port for when you're leaving on a cruise.

The hotel was clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We booked because of the location, close to nightlife, and right on the trolley line to Amalie Arena. It did end up being very convenient for our trip. Our only complaint, which is pretty minor, is that the air conditioning system in the room was pretty loud, and actually woke me up a couple times at night.

The hotel room was clean. The location is great, close to the attractions of Ybor and with their free shuttle downtown Tampa was quickly accessible. The highlight of my stay here was the staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly, from the front desk to housekeeping to the shuttle driver, each person greeted us and asked about our day and checked to see if they could get us anything. Anytime we asked for suggestions on things to do or restaurants everyone had something good to offer. It was a great stay!

Location is great, within walking distance of many Ybor City attractions. Free shuttle service is available to any location within 3 miles. Parking is available for $8, though the lot is small and a bit cramped. There are surface lots nearby for a lesser fee, as well ad limited on-street parking. Rooms are pretty standard, if a bit overpriced. You're paying for location and convenience here. Free breakfast with plenty of options. Service was friendly, they were able to help with anything I needed. Recommended as long as it falls within your budget.

Parking was a little confusing at first, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, stocked and suitable for the two of us. There was a large event happening when we stayed, and, despite that, it was very quiet throughout the night.

Older Hampton in need of an update… as a business traveler Wi-Fi is essential, this particular hotel he some of the worst Wi-Fi ever. Slow and unreliable.

The hotel is very nicely located it's got a small pool and a small gym the room is a typical hotel room with no frills or spills if you want enjoy Ybor City I highly recommend this hotel because of its location.

Stayed overnight for a concert, excellent location, very walkable to several bars, restaurants, & concert venue. However, price was INSANELY high due to Gasparilla happening. Otherwise, room was spacious & clean.

Great location — friendly efficient staff. Hotel is in good condition. Typical Hampton Inn with a great location in the heart of Ybor. If I had to find something to complain about it would be the free coffee. But since it's free I can't expect it to be great. I would definitely stay here again. Good location, a little ghetto nearby, but the hotel is safe. Nothing that special about it or unique. It's just a normal Hampton Inn. Good hotel for a good price that you can always count on.

The room is very clean and spacious. The complimentary breakfast had more variety than I expected. My only issue is that the curtains don't close and light from the street comes into the room… luckily I travel with an eye mask, but that's still disappointing (and puzzling why) the curtains don't close.

I strongly recommend the Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa/Ybor City/Downtown for aspiring entomologists interested in conducting fieldwork on Cimex lectularius (commonly known as bed bugs). The hotel, staff, and location, were all fine. The bed bugs and resulting need to throw out my clothing and luggage, however, left something to be desired. A word to the wise, bed bug bites can take a few days to appear… and when they do, they show-up in clusters (shoulders, arms, legs, hands, feet). In my case, they itch like nothing I've experienced. Kudos to the Hampton Inn for encouraging me to expand my field of study to include biting insects.

The room was clean and location was great but someone in housekeeping is thief. I left a pair of True Religion jeans and called the next day to see if turned into lost and found and guess what… they never showed up! Just sad.

I would have given this Hampton more stars, but two things lowered it down a bit. 1. The Wi-Fi is HORRIBLE 2. The water in the shower never actually gets hot. That's ridiculous and unacceptable. If you're one of those people who likes hot water in their shower, or dependable Wi-Fi in their rooms, then you better call and verify that those 2 items have been fixed. Otherwise, good luck with that. Other than that — great location in Ybor City, great staff, clean rooms, etc.

Very nice hotel if you don't mind having no hot water to take a shower. We called the front desk three times and they told us there was nothing they could do. Furthermore, the hotel was very clean, great breakfast and clean rooms but no hot water for my shower.

Hotel staff was very friendly, and welcoming. Hotel was in a good place just outside of Ybor city. Entrance was a bit hard to find, it was around the block from the front door. Also, the AC in the room was VERY LOUD. If you set the temperature at 70 and the room was 68, the heat would come on, and then it would switch back to AC when the room got warm. So the unit was running all the time.

Awesome hotel at an excellent location. Everything is within walking distance and the staff was great. Yuval at the front desk was great with local restaurant recommendations and made sure any request I had was taken care of within minutes. Loved the place so much I came back for a second weekend. Will definitely stay here again.

What a great experience! We drove to Tampa from Indiana on a Saturday night and planned on staying at the Hampton Inn and using the cruise and park program. Upon arrival at 6:00 AM on Sunday the gentleman working the front desk, Alex, was incredibly helpful. He allowed us to check in and really seemed to care that we were taken care of and able to get into a room. We offered multiple times to come back later in the day at 3 but he went above and beyond to help us out. The room was very nice and clean and all of the staff we had interactions with were very helpful. The shuttle service to the port and back was quick and easy. Will definitely stay here again next time we are leaving from Tampa.
