This was a very cool hotel… loved the decor, complimentary glass of good wine on arrival, great bar with good bartenders… It's just rather loud due to the highway on one side and the construction on the other side. Also, I didn't appreciate housekeeping knocking on my door at 9:00 a. M. Asking when I'm checking out. I felt rushed. Other than that, good stay and I wish I had time to use the pool because it looked very inviting.

Our stay at the hotel was less than stellar. From the start, no one came to clean our room. They did not ask if we wanted it cleaned. We had dinner Saturday night at the hotel restaurant were the Bison steaks had gristle and hard to cut. This costs $69, over priced and over cooked. Not to mention we received the wrong side dish. The grilled octopus was also over cooked and tough. The bathroom in the lobby needed soap replaced, toilets flushed, and garbage dumped. I was excited to book this hotel thinking we would have a exceptional experience (reading the reviews) but I was sadly mistaken. I can't see why so many praise this hotel because I saw nothing like the reviews. Yes, the staff was friendly and accommodating. For the money we spent I am so very disappointed.

Prime location for the SoHo district. Amazing staff with an elegant atmosphere. They have a heated pool however it was far from heated which was a huge inconvenience. They should invest in a hot tub or two.

Had a lovely stay at the Epicurean, which is a very nice, very chic, very stylish hotel in the heart of SoHo. Very much enjoyed the atmosphere and spacious hotel, while the rooms were lovely and the decor from the Autograph Collection was very enjoyable. If you're staying in SoHo, even for one date night like I did, definitely consider the Epicurean and check out its rooftop bar, Edge, and the restaurant, Elevage (both highly recommended).

First stop on Tuesday's surprise birthday tour of Tampa Bay was the Epicurean Hotel, Autograph Collection directly and conveniently located across the street from Bern's Steak House and their attention to detail was outstanding! Their staff went above and beyond to make sure all of our requests were fulfilled! As you arrive in the luxury hotel lobby you are graciously greeted with a complimentary glass of wine! The hotel decorated for the Christmas holidays was beautiful and an interesting tour of their antiques and memorabilia. We were a little disappointed that the rooftop bar is only open on the weekends now, as it would have been an excellent location to watch the sunset! Please remember to support your local businesses and restaurants during these strange and unusual times, they all can use our help! Buen provecho!

First of all, the decor is amazing. The rooms themselves and the balcony is gorgeous. Vanessa at the front desk, not only acknowledged our Anniversary, but also took time out of her day to take like a million pictures of us. She really made us feel welcome and at home. The hand written letter and the bottle of wine in our room was also a nice touch. Every interaction with the staff served to enhance the quality of our trip. Elevange was amazing as well. The food and presentation were great, as was the Whiskey and Wine list. Dorothy our server took excellant care of us.

HORRIBLE Experience. Made NYE reservations. Not told on website it was a $125 per person tasting menu only. Checked website today and still regular menu. Got there and told this. Now it’s 9PM and we have nowhere to eat. Total crap.

Live local and planned a 3 night stay. The room had no remote TV guide to view programming/channel lineup. No movie rental ondemand. Room service screwed up entire dinner order. No fan system in bathroom. All of the disposable bath products & lotions were attached to the wall with refillable dispensers. The last thing in the world I want to do is pump or touch a dispenser that some other guest touched three hours before I did. Unless they are replacing the pump after every guest this is completely non-hygienic. Forget eco-friendly. Hygiene is more important. My final thoughts as I checked out after the first night and didn’t complete my stay… I was perfectly willing to pay a luxury price, $340 a night for luxury accomodations. Not even close. I was very disappointed in lack of even standard hotel offering.

I have had two events at the Epicurean and very impressed with their staff ambience and quality.

Can I give this place 20 million stars? Seriously, top level service, amazingly spacious and clean rooms. Wine (if that's your thing) for days, and scrumptious food they'll deliver to your door (long gone are the days of cold, gross room service). Try the pancakes and thank me later. The $20 for valet is 100%worth every penny, I never waited more than 3 minutes for my car to show up. Stop reading this and book your stay, then enjoy the pool, rooftop lounge and restaurant. Swing by and get an old fashioned shoe shine and retire to a room that's probably nicer than your house.

It is the place to go in Tampa if you love good food, good wine, good service all in one great location.

While this hotel is well done and the staff is very friendly (excessively friendly at times) do not stay here if you have the highest lifetime Marriott status because you get none of the usual perks you would normally expect. I had to ask for an upgrade and was told the terrace room was not available, however, when I checked online, it was available. There is no concierge lounge and no free breakfast. Parking is also not waived for status. I just didn't feel like my loyalty mattered at all here and I could do without the extra attention and just get the perks I expect.

Stayed this past weekend for a girls trip! Krissy checked us in and gave us all wine! Walked us to our room! She was just as excited to have us there as we were to be there! Krissy is a Hyde Park expert! She told us all great places to eat and drink! Even gave us sprinkles coupons! Can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful stay at a great hotel, the staff was very attentive and couldn't be more accommodating. The food in the restaurant was delicious including the room service. We wanted to get a massage at the spa but they didn't have any open spots, still found a great place less than a mile away. Will definitely consider staying here when I come back to Tampa.

Nice room. Plenty of room. Staff helpful & friendly. Some things were expired like creamer for coffee in the morning. And bathroom could have been better.

Stayed there overnight to have dinner at Bern's (restaurant across the street). Hotel was very nice. Check in was quick and we were escorted to our room. Room was very comfortable and well decorated. The room bathroom had a barn door which doesn't give you a lot of privacy when you're in there. Probably our only room complaint. There is no self-parking at the hotel. Valet only. A little inconvenient but since we didn't need to drive anywhere so it wasn't too bad. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would probably stay there again next time we want to dine at Bern's.

What an awesome hotel. So unique! The staff were so friendly and helpful. They have complimentary bicycles, which can be such fun to ride along the bay.

We ate at the restaurant in the bottom floor of this hotel and it was top notch. Very unique and creative options and all high quality. Amazing wine options and overall great ambience. The hotel is trendy but classy at the same time, smaller in size boutique hotel, but every detail well thought out with a great artistic flair.

Amazing experience from the moment I dropped off the car at valet the host were checking me in on IPADs, taking my bags to my room, and handing me a beautiful glass of Pinot Noir! The room was lovely with a great shower w/ waterfall head in addition the the regular head, barn door, wine selection in the room, and very clean with books to read about Bern’s etc.
The breakfast room service was delicious & quick!
We hosted a corporate meeting here and every person in attendance was very happy!

I was there for a 50th birthday party I helped planned and also attended. I absolutely loved it. Audrey and her staff were the best. The set up and clean up was the best. I would recommend this venue to everybody. Thank you guys for you hospitality.

I loved every minute of my stay here. The pool is a bit noisy from the freeway traffic, but easy to overcome with headphones. The staff is friendly. The beds are comfortable. This is what one expects from an Autograph Collection Hotel.

A must go. Check out lobby bar for great craft cocktails and nice wine list. Upstairs, roof top bar is open after 5 for a scenic view. If you are looking for a stayover, rooms are boutique style and upscale. They have events all the time in their theater style test kitchen.

Beautiful hotel, very Modern and located perfectly for a lot of great places to go. Very clean, smelled good and quiet. I don’t have any pictures because we were having too much fun but let me just say the steak eggs Benedict was so good I ate it all! This restaurant is inside the hotel. Mimosas were a nice finishing touch to end our stay and addition to our breakfast. Highly recommend!

I know this gorgeous hotel is known for its fine cuisine but I love Photographing Weddings at the Epicurean. It has a ride venue as well as many different reception options. It is Chic Asad very unique.

We love this place — location is great, food is great, staff is always friendly and helpful and the ambiance is just what we’re looking for- I really struggled with how many stars to give because the only problem they have is with housekeeping. Every single time we stay at the hotel, housekeeping wakes us up. Most Morning housekeeping starts at 10am but at this hotel, weekend housekeeping starts much earlier. Today, for example, they woke us up starting from around 7:30AM. The housekeepers are loud and have conversations in the hall the entire time they are cleaning. Today, they yelled from room to room as they were walking back and forth — with no regard for who might be in the rooms sleeping. We listened to them for hours today. I asked them to please be quiet — but it only lasted about a half hour at the most before they started talking again. The disappointing thing is — my husband reminded me that the same thing happened to us the last time we stayed at this hotel. To give a further example, since housekeeping woke us up all morning long today, we were so tired that we went to the front desk and asked for a late checkout. We are Marriott Gold Card Members so we were given until 4:00 pm to check out. We decided to take a nap at 1:30pm. Would you believe housekeeping knocked on our door at 2:10 asking when we were leaving? All they had to do was abide by the “red light” that we had on our door OR communicate with the front desk — but they didn’t do either.

A modern, upscale hotel with a particularly foodie slant. The rooms are spacious (for a hotel) with high ceilings and trendy accents: barn-style suite for the bathroom, counter well for the ice bucket, artistic lights. There is a full closet with lots of space. There is the expected mini-bar, though this one is stocked with more wine than normal (as you'd sort of expect) and the prices are a bit steeper. If note, the semi-instant coffee is $3. I've very rarely made coffee in my room, so that's not a big negative. Beyond the room, the amenities are also nice: a couple restaurants, wine store, free computers and printers on each floor of you need them. The location is also nice with walking ages to a lot of Hyde Park. It can get rather busy on the street, but I never had issues with noise.

Best hotel in Tampa, excellent on premise restaurant, bars and room service. Rooms are nicely furnished, comfortable and clean. Great location on South Howard near many other bars and restaurants.

This place. Ah this place. If a hotel could feel like home, this is it. Best staff I know. From the bar and kitchen staff, to the peeps in the wine shop. The valet is always super friendly and helpful. If you're coming in from out of town, and want a culinary/wine experience… um yes.

A must experience restaurant where one can also get an old fashioned shoe shine. In addition, there is a dinner theater where cooking lessons are taught. We enjoyed the Dinner for Two Entree which was a well seasoned whole snapper that included yucca, tomato and avocado, as well as black beans.

Gorgeous hotel with superior service. The hotel also had an amazing dessert shop and wine store. The rooms are well styled and the designs throughout the hotel are interesting. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

One of the best hotels in Tampa! Great spa, amazing pool area, and several wonderful places to eat at right inside the hotel! The spa will be your best spa experience ever! The people working in there are so nice and make you feel like you are the only person there! A great place to go if you are in need of some extra pampering!

The customer service is top notch! I needed a recommendation for a florist in the area to send flowers to a guest. Not being from Tampa I needed help and Morgan was eager to assist and just a pleasant friendly person that was instantly willing to assist. The art of customer service is a struggle today and nice to see that people like Morgan still get the personal touches make all the difference!

I've been here a few times and the ONLY time I seem to get good service is when they aren't very busy. I gave them another try tonight they were understaffed on the rooftop bar and I gave the bartenders several chances to notice my friends and I. She took care of the guys who were there after us, her co worker walked up to us who I noticed came up from the downstairs bar. She was awesome but was trying to rush to get us a drink that she dropped a glass and ended up breaking it. She left and didn't come back (hope she's ok) won't come back here. Awful service and even the manager was behind the bar and seemed totally clueless.

Dined in the restaurant and did the porterhouse for 2.
Dinner reservation was seated on time. Waiter was good. Slept well. Happy I booked the deluxe room with the walk out to patio. Cute calm space. Even though there was a wedding party and did a Saturday night stay it was not over crowded. 30's trendy crowed. Did the self guided bike tour. I recommend and will return. Good location.

I really like this hotel. The area really needed something just like this. That said there are a few areas that could use improvement. Furniture in the Bar and dinning area are a bit uncomfortable and the service although good is a little too casual in it's approach but the cost is not. I feel like it is having a hard time finding it's identy although they are making an effort.

Upscale, modern and CLEAN. Close to restaurants. Their service is pretty awesome. Valet parking only. Wish we stayed longer so we could enjoy all of their amenities.

We live in Tampa and generally frequent the Epicurean for delicious meals. Due to the unfortunate situation of Hurricane Irma, we ended up getting rooms at the hotel. Everything from the reservation process to the minute we checked out was so smooth. Although they had a "skeleton" staff for the last couple days, you wouldn't be able to tell. They were so well organized, helpful and incredibly inviting (even to our pets! ) the whole time. In a situation like an expected storm, the Epicurean team was TOP NOTCH. They kept us informed, entertained and made us feel safe. A huge thank you to this local staple for keeping the community safe in a dire situation. I can't say enough good things at this point. An infinite 5-star rating for the staff!

We had an amazing weekend stay at Epicurean. Every staff member we encountered was courteous, welcoming, and accommodating. We enjoyed their wine tasting, meals in their in-house restaurant, and a treat from their pastry shop. The pool was a nice place to relax. The room was beautiful with a terrace view. We plan to make this our annual anniversary trip. Thank you all!

The Epicurean was the first and last location we looked at for our small intimate wedding. I wasn’t more than 10 steps in the lobby and said, “This is it”. From that moment on the entire process was worry free. The staff was very kind, prompt and polite. From Bonnie who first showed us around to Audrey who oversaw all the event planning. They kept in touch with us and were able to accommodate some last minute changes. They were very thoughtful during the entire planning process and event. All the staff constantly made sure that we had everything we needed, and ensured our day went stress free. They were very transparent during the whole process when coming up with the contract and schedule details. Audrey was on top of all of our needs and made a lot of great suggestions which made the event better than we could have imagined. Thank you so much Audrey and the rest of the Epicurean Staff for helping plan one of the biggest days of our lives, we are truly grateful for all the work you put in to for this special day.

So, I am still here. But not what I expected overall. I was at another Marriott property close by and I got use to all their amenities. The breakfast does not open till 7am, it would be nice to see earlier, 630am at minimum. I don't remember the girls name but she was great front desk staff, quality lady very engaging and helpful. The valet this morning at 730am, only had one attendant and there was about 5 of us waiting, this unacceptable. I tried calling down to front desk to get car, but it just rang and rang. The shower pressure is lacking. Not big deal for rain shower, but switching to shower on wall there issue.

The Epicurean Hotel is, in a word, fabulous! Our room was lovely, the restaurant, though noisy, was such a treat. We ate in the bar, which offered everything from the dining menu. After dinner, we went to the pool, enjoyed our swim, then lounged poolside while shipping cocktails. Extremely easy check-in, and the champagne that was offered after checking in was a nice touch! We were celebrating my SO's birthday, and it couldn't have been more fun! Most definitely, we will be back!

Beautiful & unique rooms! Staff is accomodating and wants to create the best experience for your stay. They have a restaurant, bar and dessert cafe on site and you can't beat the location. Since this is standard with hotels, I won't knock the review down a star but for the price of rooms here, I was slightly disappointed by the lack of complimentary options in the room. Water bottles and flavored coffee are extra. Regardless, our stay was great. Quiet rooms, Blackout shades and comfortable beds = an amazing night's rest. I would stay here again!

The hotel was wonderful… from the valet parking & the remote check in by the bellman / front desk clerk on the iPad in the elevator, on the way to the room to the comfy, eclectic room decor; there was no need to even stop at the Front Desk when we arrived, other than to get the wine sample offered (which was a nice touch)! Service was superb, getting us the much-needed room type we wanted to accommodate our party of three. Saturday night we headed up to the top floor to check out the rooftop bar (called, "The Edge") ; again, even though busy, service was superb & the atmosphere of the place was pleasant. The server & bartender went out of their way to improvise & make drinks for us when they were out of Kahlua at the bar, which worked out well. Great hotel which we'd highly recommend. Nice neighborhood too, with what looked like lots of neat places within walking distance to eat or drink.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around… Upscale hotel set in a very neat little area of Tampa. The amenities and services offered are hip and there is some amazing food and wine to be had in this hotel. Rooms are comfortable and modern with a small selection of wine bottles to purchase in each one. Definitely a pricier option in Tampa but one of our favorites for a date night or weekend getaway. Note: parking is $15 and valet only.

The hotel is beautiful, the food was excellent, the dinner server was great and the bartender was top notch. Overall, we are very pleased and would probably stay there again and recommend it to others. My only complaints are that my husband contacted the hotel several times in advance with special requests since this was our first stop on our honeymoon. I have to assume a lack of communication between staff since those special requests were not taken care of when we arrived, but only after my husband had to ask for them several times while we waited. One of those, a request for a special table at dinner was never met, unless said table is the tiny two person table backed in a corner. And, since check out was at 12, why exactly did room service need to open our door at 9 am?

Hotel looked nice but I was only there to go to the edge bar. Just a really cool bar on a freaking rooftop. The view is great, atmosphere is awesome as well.

Hands down my favorite Marriott property. Foodie themed (if the name didn't give that away). Highlights include food theater, interesting dining options within walking distance, walking distance from Bayshore drive, complimentary bicycles, wonderfully appointed and themed rooms, shoe shine, fantastic staff, and of course a wine tasting upon check-in. Take the bikes and check out Hyde Park — a 3 minute pedal away. 10/10!

The services wasn't great, but the way their management responded showed a class above what you typically find in companies these days. :) **I arrived because I landed in TPA from LA. A few of my flights were cancelled to my final destination so I figured I'd spend the night in Tampa. Not being from around here I choose this hotel because it was the best rated on trip advisor with the short search I did for 4 star hotels. When I arrived, I was treated as I didn't belong, because I was just here to stay one night and wasn't interested enough in their wine and food events. My room was gorgeous and very steam punk modern themed, but the staff were generally apathetic about my stay and treated me as if I didn't belong. I choose valet and tipped my valet $5 to park and $5 to retrieve. A standard in LA but apparently high of a tip here. Then when I went to get my car from valet, it smelled so bad of smoke, that I had to drive the highway all the way to Naples and around town before the smell left the car. It was a rental and there were no smoking signs clearly labelled in many areas of the car. I was travelling for work and I must say, I will strongly recommend everyone I know who is just passing Tampa or staying at Tampa for a good time to find a Marriott or a Hilton. Don't go here. Very over priced for what I received. I left in shock.

Great hotel for overnight stays or dinner and drinks. Edge bar is nice with a good menu and views with over the back of Tampa. Restaurant food is also very good with an interesting menu with new tastes to try. Rooms at the hotel are decorated brilliantly. All in all very good experience.

An exceptional property, with great attention to detail… From the wine check-in to the friendliness of every single person there, to the excellent food, this is a solid Marriott/Autograph property. The proximity to the world-famous Bern Steakhouse is unbeatable, and you'll also be walking distance to tons of other food and drink spots mere blocks away.

The Epicurean is comfortable, clean, updated, and provides all the amenities you would expect from a Marriott brand. However, compared to the other Autograph collection properties, I think it's character and charm somewhat pales in comparison. The Bern's Steakhouse/Wine theme happening in the rooms is clever, but it ultimately seems like a dressed up Courtyard. The hotel is conveniently located to South Tampa nightlife and Bern's, but there is awful highway noise from the crosstown expressway that seems to permeate the whole place. The wine selection is excellent (coming from Northern California I was sincerely impressed), and the restaurant breakfast was great. Overall comfortable.

I would definitely stay at the Epicurean again. I went with my husband for a weekend anniversary getaway. The room with very comfortable although I wouldn't have bothered with the patio room had I known it wasn't a private patio (allowing anyone on the 2nd floor to pass by our room). The food and drinks at the hotel restaurant and bar were fantastic. We especially enjoyed ordering drinks and lunch poolside. The proximity to Berns was also a huge advantage for us!

The location is fantastic! The atmosphere is excellent and the employees very attentive. The design of the hotel is awesome!

I really dig this place for when I'm in Tampa on business. It's clean and modern to start, but a combination of the amenities and the staff really make for a pleasant experience. The restaurant makes good food and had a selection not typical of a standard Marriott. There's a great wine store off the lobby and the restaurant bat is well stocked including a number of rye whiskey bottles. The rooftop bar is a great place to meet coworkers and friends when staying at the hotel.

We hosted a surprise birthday party at the Hotel. We had it outside on the second floor terrace under a tent. It was really beautiful with a combination of high top and regular tables. The bar set up was nice and the bartender was great. The coordinator, however, was not very helpful. When we asked if we could speak with Chocolate Pi about the desserts we wanted, she originally said no and that we would just get whatever they decided to make. Eventually, we contacted Chocolate Pi and they were more than happy to accommodate us. When I pointed out a discrepancy in prices between her wine list and the one for the restaurant, she was rude and dismissive, giving an answer that later turned out to be untrue. We had hot passed hors d'oevres for the event, but they did not book any servers to work the event. Instead, another one of the event coordinators served the hors d'oevres by herself, wearing casual jeans and a long sweater. Everyone at the event was dressed in professional attire. She could not keep up with the amount of people at the event, but she was very nice. Overall, I would give it an average rating because service fell flat. The food and location, however, were wonderful.

The beds are so amazing and the fun, luxurious waterfall shower makes you never want to leave the room. Spacious accommodations in the King-sized bed room. This is a great hotel to stay in and enjoy Hyde Park in Tampa.

Dropped my wife off at her hotel room after having brunch at Elevage. Brunch was excellent. A wonderful three course meal of sausage gravy and biscuits with an egg on top, shrimp and grits, and a cheese tray. It also didn't hurt to see a few celebrities enjoying the patio seating for brunch. Always nice to be able to eat at a restaurant that attracts people who could go anywhere they want. The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were elegant and contemporary with all the amenities. I wish I could have stayed and enjoyed it more.

Checked in, had a misto at pastry shop, and had a great massage, all before dinner. Rooms, staff, and amenities combine warmth and modernity. We'll be back.

Lovely hotel, beautiful decor, and extremely friendly staff. We held an event here and it went wonderfully.

Nice modern design. Large rooms with super comfortable beds and a stunning bathroom. The only complaint is that my room was on the fourth floor a few doors down from the entrance to the rooftop bar. Too many loud drunk people up and down the hall from 10pm — midnight and the door to my room didn't block much of the noise.

That's the newest hot spot in Tampa. Check out the roof (even though no smoking is allowed) but its pretty cool place to hang out. They have great drinks as well.

There’s no separation between restaurant and resort at the Epicurean Hotel. Built in partnership with the legendary Bern’s Steak House, the unquestionably boutique 137-room lodging sits at the edge of the Hyde Park neighborhood. Hand-polished Venetian plaster finishes the walls, and custom-built furnishings fill each room. From the wine store at the entrance and in-house patisserie to the justly celebrated Élevage restaurant led by James Beard Award finalist Chef Chad Johnson, the hotel wears its culinary trappings proudly. The most interesting amenity might be the Epicurean Theatre, a demonstration kitchen offering classes for wine pairing and Thai cooking, local restaurant competitions, and events featuring celebrity chefs like Norman Van Aken and Simon Majumdar. It is extraordinarily lush in every respect.

I cannot speak to how much we enjoyed our experience at the Epicurean for our wedding weekend in Tampa. We secured a wedding block for our out of town guests, and the hotel subsequently became the "Home Base" for all weekend festivities. Firstly, Brandon Marshall and the entire customer service experience was accommodating, warm and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable recommending the hotel to our guests. Of course, the entire staff made the stay an incredible experience for our wedding party and guests. Management went beyond the call of duty to accommodate our guests and to make us feel like valued guests. The Epicurean is a provided us with a premier experience we'll never forget. Thanks again.

A few months prior to our arrival we asked to have an early check in as we needed a place for our toddler to sleep (anyone with kids knows that a noon time nap is crucial l). Called to confirm this at 8 am an was again told it would be ready by 12. It's 2:30 and we are told that they decided to shampoo our carpets today and we still do not have a place for our kid to sleep. For the price and pre planning attempted, I not impressed with the customer service.

The hotel is wonderful. The rooms are brand-new and modern and sleek the shower is amazing the beds are comfortable the staff is very friendly and helpful the only issue I've had is the restaurant is disappointing. The food is okay but the prices are very high and the portions are tiny. I spent $50 and left hungry.

I had a great experience my first time at the Epicurean back in February, so much so that I booked another stay and it was as pleasant as the first stay, so now I am booking another one. I like the clean fresh look of the place and how easy it is to register when I first arrive. The staff is always very friendly and helpful when it comes to knowledge about local restaurants etc. And, the rooms are extremely comfortable and spacious. I highly recommend the Epicurean Hotel in Tampa, Florida.

This place competes with 5-star Hotels and is surrounded by great restaurants, nigthlife (try the hotel's rooftop deck) and service was wonderful wow, WOW the best customer service I have ever had and I travel all over the world for my company. I stayed here for 5 days including a weekend. I am from Los Angeles and am use to great quality. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated, stocked wet bar with great wine and a beautiful shower with rain showerhead. Clean and Clean! Everyone showed a smile and took pride in the property including the friendly hardworking cleaning staff! Oh and did I mention the extremely comfortable beds.
