The best and only place to stay.

Beach chairs & umbrellas supplied were in good condition & enough for everyone staying in the units. Have maintenance personnel on site to take care of any problems in condos. Grounds are kept in beautiful condition with huge variety of blooming plants, bushes & trees. Condos I have stayed in are in excellent condition & well appointed. Recommend Sanibel Moorings without hesitation.

Spent a week and loved the location, beach, and accessibility to so much on the island. (Downside is the $6 toll every time you enter the causeway, but we made a Walmart run and purchased most of the essentials for the week. ) the kitchen was well stocked with all of the essentials for cooking, coffeemaker, toaster, and full size appliances. We loved the friendly staff and will plan on coming again!

One of the coziest vacation spots to stay. Pick some souvenir shells at the beach, you shall definitely find something memorable. The waters are shallow and water recedes many meters into the several times a day and it's interesting to a look at the sea Flora and fauna on the beach.

Had a fantastic stay at The Moorings! All the staff members we came into contact with were extremely helpful and friendly, especially Andy. They advised of the previous Red Tide at check in and thankfully it is past that area and posed no threat to our stay. The condo was fully equipped and beautifully decorated. The beach was just steps away from our door and we were able to enjoy the ocean as well as the beach with provided lounge chairs and umbrellas. We will definitely be making this an annual trip!

This is our second year visiting Sanibel Moorings and honestly it will probably become a tradition. It is absolutely gorgeous! This place has everything you need for a beach vacation. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the view of the Gulf is unbelievable.

The staff here are top notch. They go above and beyond to ensure a fabulous vacation. The grounds are gorgeous and the facilities are in excellent shape. Highly recommended!

We've been here two days and we love it. The resort is a botanical garden so there are many beautiful species of tropical plants and some of them are labeled. There are two pools, a kids pool and a regular pool at one of them, and we haven't walked to the other one yet. We arrived 2 hours before our check in time, but we were welcomed with open arms to use the facilities and park in the lot. There is assigned parking so we always have a spot near our condo. The photos on the Sanibel Moorings website do not do this place justice at all. The one we are staying in has updated kitchen and bathrooms, and the rooms are bigger than they look in the photos online. Going out to the beach is so easy, it is a short walk from the courtyards to the beach, but the patio bricks have a rough texture, so flip flops are recommended. There are beach chairs and umbrellas out on the beach for resort guests. The waves are minimal at this end of the island, bit you can catch better waves up at public beach accesses on Captiva island. There is also an area to rinse feet off on the way back to the courtyards. We used the on site grills last night, and they are direct line gas grills, and are decent as well. Our condo is very clean, smells great, and the furniture is comfortable. We are already considering making this an annual vacation, because it is such a beautiful place. I've only posted a few photos, to avoid posting personal pics.

Wonderful spot right along the beach. There's a pool and grills. Would recommend. Rooms are very comfortable and large enough for an extra person or two. Plenty of greenery around for lizards and other wildlife to be found in.

We recently were married at Sanibel Moorings in the beautiful gardens. The resort was amazing. I wish we could have stayed longer. The condo we stayed at was well kept and clean. Our condo overlooked the ocean so we were able to stroll down to the beach within minutes. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Kari, our wedding coordinator made everything easy and stress free. Please be advised if you want to have a beach wedding you will need to notify a month in advance as we weren't aware. However, that did not take away from how gorgeous everything turned out. We will definitely be returning.

It was a nice condo with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Nice beach but the water is murky and has no waves. Lots of sand dollars and starfish you can find with your feet.

The renovated rooms are really nice. Enjoyed the pool and the beach!

We’ve stayed here many times and always had a great experience. Staff is friendly, amenities are great, and condos are beautiful. We usually stay on the gulf side but this time we were on dockside. Still lovely and short walk to the beach. The grounds are gorgeous and the price is very reasonable for this area. You won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful surrounding. Wednesday Garden tour was great. Parking is little less but otherwise the staff and place is awesome and well maintained. The condos are again amazing. The place is worth visiting. The sunsets and sunrise are awesome at Sanibel. Spectacular place overall.

I can’t comment for the stay, but we did the Botanical Garden tour with a guide and its was just amazing. They open to the public Wednesday morning at 9:00. You should reserve in advance.

This complex is next to where we stay, band the year we took a tour of there impressive plants and trees, some of the best on the island.

We loved our stay here! We brought our dog and our cat with us and the office staff was super friendly about our pets. There was ample areas for dog walks and our cat loved the screened in patio. We bicycled over to the lighthouse one afternoon, it took about 15-20 minutes, not bad at all. The beach access is very convenient and there is umbrellas and chairs provided at each access point. We will most definitely be returning to Sanibel Moorings! We stayed in condo 231.

The resort is great, staff is very friendly and wants to help. The condo was very clean and has everything you need. The only issue was the lack of information around the late check in process. Make sure to go to the lock box at the main office first.

Nice place they take dogs and have boat docks. No place for trailer good luck with that one.

Sanibel Moorings is absolutely amazing! My husband and I got married there this past weekend. Kari was amazing and did every thing we asked of her plus much more! The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The couple small issues we had with our patio door maintenance was there to fix it immediately. Our condo was clean and beautiful as was the rest of the resort. I would highly recommend the Moorings for vacation and a wedding destination!

Paradise! Our condo was lovely and steps from the beach. The grounds were amazing even after hurricane Irma! I can't wait to go back.

We were presented with everything great and great on the first day free kayaks, canoes, pool and Wi-Fi.
Then we wanted to rent a bike but then we should pay $10 for one hour per bike. Clear for 4 hours it is OK again.
The kayaks look good but we couldn't borrow from 5pm to 17:30 since the office closes at 6pm.
And very unfriendly staff.
That's really awful.

Great place with easy access to the bridge and activities on the island. The beach access made this place very good for my family although access to chairs and umbrellas was a bit challenging on the weekend. Condo was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Would definitely recommend it to friends/family.

Great place to relax or spend time with the family. This place has everything to offer. We always stay in unit 322, one of the best units on the island.

Very nice condo resort and grounds with an ideal beachfront location on the quiet east end. Our unit was beautifully updated, clean and comfortable. Pool was quaint, featured loungers and umbrellas, and is surrounded by botanicals (bring bug spray! ) I didn't rate it 5 stars because the $25 parking fee is unreasonable when one of the 2 adults occupying the unit, is working in town, requiring two vehicles. There were plenty of available guest spots and I'm not fond of being charged extra for "open space" when I'm already paying to rent the unit. The only thing that could've made the unit better would be a stackable washer/dryer inside to dry towels, instead of having to go to a common laundry room (this was only a problem because of the excessive rains the week we stayed).

It's a nice little place in Sanibel that my best friend and his family go to every year. Accomodations are nice. The area surrounding the buildings is kept very clean, and the beach is pristine. We found sand dollars and starfish in the water.

I was here (sadly for only) one night in February. I was coming back from the Keys before heading home. Sexton and his team make the place fantastic. The lobby is a great multipurpose space. The rooms are bright and clean and comfortable. Although the rooftop is a little small it's great for relaxing.

Great place to stay and relax. Beautifully kept, quiet, near enough to enjoy the shops, far enough away to get away.

We had a great week at Sanibel Moorings! We loved the gardens and wildlife on the grounds. The condo was clean, pretty and functional. The staff was very helpful (the microwave needed to be replaced) and when we had a few questions about the area. We'll go back!

Great Place. I would highly recommend Sanibel Moorings for your Florida island resort vacation.

I've stayed at Sanibel Moorings for the past decade for at least one weekend during the summer. I always look forward to it and have always had a relaxing time. However, this past time was a stark departure from the previous visits. When I walked into the master bedroom in the apartment, I found a cockroach snuggled in-between my bed sheets. When I told the front desk about it, they casually blew it off as "Oh well you know, it's Florida, " as if Florida were some back water 3rd world wilderness. There is also a $40 beach chair fee, which is a waste of money if you don't wake up at 8 am and reserve seats for yourself.

We are Florida residents who decided at the last minute to take a short vacation with the kids. This is our 2nd trip to Sanibel, but our first with kids. I did a lot of research and finally narrowed, my choices down to Sanibel Moorings or Cas Ybel (which we previously stayed at). As it turned out Casa Ybel was not available this weekend and would have cost us much more than Sanibel Moorings. So we took a chance and decided on Sanibel Moorings. I was about to book online when I noticed the online booking was not registering the current deal they advertised stay 3 get 1 free, so I called the office and was greeted by a very helpful employee by the name of Mason — he helped us find just the right room for our family and budget. After speaking to Mason on the phone I was sure we had found the right place. We arrived on a Fri and left on a Tues (Aug 2012) this is the off season for South Florida. The unit we stayed in was IMMACULATE with all the items you could possibly need. Very, very comfortable and clean. One nice perk — the advertised FREE WI-FI — actually worked and worked QUITE well — great connections and speed. The whole complex is extremely quite and at the time we visited was populated mostly by families. I couldn't have asked for a better stay. We are so happy we chose Sanibel Moorings, the stay exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend Sanibel Moorings. We will be making Sanibel Moorings an annual family event.
