It's all about location location location … so I can see why rooms are expensive. They are outdated though but accommodating. For the price spent on the rooms, there is no complimentary breakfast, not even coffee. The outside bar by the pool where everyone gathers during the day closes at 6:30pm 😳 like where does one go for drinks or entertainment in the evenings. Dinner was ok, service good but food was bland and expensive. I wanted a cup of coffee after dinner and was told that they would have to make a whole pot just for me, as if it was a problem/inconvenience. They ended up making it as I was just as persistent as them about not making it. Lol!

A beautiful setting, charming exterior, virtually on the beach, 2 lagoons on the property with gorgeous flowers, a number of turtles, and even a small resident alligator…whom we never saw out of the water! Adorable poolside bar, comfy beach chairs, lovely beach for shelling and relaxing. Maintenance staff friendly and helpful. Rooms very basic but comfortable beds. Overall we had a wonderful stay!

Great beach, good food, reasonable price.

Just finished a week here and the resort, staff, room, beach and pool were all wonderful! Smaller place that after a day the staff knows you, and you know them. Clean and laid back. (We never ate at the restaurant, so I cannot comment on it. ) We wouldn't hesitate to come back and highly recommend!

We had an awesome time! Nice Tiki bar, food was very good. Breakfast was excellent at inside restaurant. The restaurant was not open for dinner yet because we were there in September and they're not open until season begins, so was a bit disappointed in that. We went to Island Cow restaurant twice, food, staff and atmosphere was perfect! We will return! Rooms at resort were clean and beachy. It's all about the beach so we loved it! Next time back will bring our fishing poles! Be there soon! 😎🌴🏖

We had a great stay. Room was nice and clean. On site restaurant needs some improvement. Simple breakfast took over an hour both days and they we not even busy. Poolside bar was perfect, Melton is an awesome bartender!

Absolutely love the location, pool and people at this resort! We have been coming for a couple years and would only update the rooms. We really only sleep in them so they are fine. Beds are comfy. Highly recommend!

The check in was painless! the rooms were great and the beach was excellent! the tiki bar, the shrimp quesadilla were delish and the service was excellent! but the company was exquisite!

Clean comfortable rooms close to everything. Staff is friendly nice tiki bar. Beach is private and has some great shelling.

The room was good and clean and it was on the beach. But when we checked out they charged an extra 100.00 almost for resort fees it might have been different but we didn't use house keeping because of covid. They told us that they wouldn't come in until we left.

Nice comfortable place. The front desk went above and beyond to fix a small problem. Speaks volumes on how they value their guests. Could not have been happier with our stay.

My family & I just spent six days here & we had a great time. All the employees were very kind & courteous. Rooms were clean, pool & bar were wonderful. Nice touches like hammocks, ping pong, beach chairs & towels. Would not hesitate to visit again.

My cousin and I just stayed for a girls trip. The walkways to the beach were beautiful! The grounds were kept so beautifully. There were always groundskeepers doing something to upkeep. The house keepers were awesome. Always made sure we had everything we needed ❤️ I will stay again, looking forward to it!

This resort is our go to place to stay on island. Consistently a good value for on island stay. Comfy rooms with everything’s we need to make our stay enjoyable. Well maintained and easy access to the beach. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

Please note this is a motel and not a hotel. The room door open to the outside with guess walking by your windows making it noisy at times. The rooms were average and a little on the dirty side. This place was once a Holiday Inn but they drop it for does not meet their quality standards. Prices high for what you get but it is all about the location to the beach that makes it worth the price. Do not expect 4 or 5 stars at this motel for it is a 2 to 3 at best.

Second visit to this hotel on the island. I've gone to extend my trips to Sanibel. It's people are friendly. It's super well cared for. The bar and restaurants on site have decent drinks and food, and it's not over priced. Go online to find early bird discounts on rates. You won't be disappointed. ❤

I love the atmosphere of Sanibel Island. Our room was nice, but we kept finding black hair everywhere, which is a little gross. Not sure if I would go back again but I liked it for a one time stay.

Booked as a last minute getaway, and was not sure what I would end up getting. Hotel websites and their pictures can be so misleading! But it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. Up to date and very clean rooms. The pool area and snack bar were very nice as well. Has access to the beach just a short walk from the rooms. Overall a very good experience. Look forward to going back!

(Waterfront) We stayed at this little hotel between a Monday and Thursday. It was quiet. It is not your big city 5 star hotel and it's to small to stay on premise full time with a larger family but it is cozy and clean with a true island feel perfect for a place to shower, sleep and take a dip in the pool and beach. This hotel sits adjacent to a residential neighboorhood and private beaches so you get the feeling of privacy without the noise of traffic and tourists nearby. Yet, this hotel is 1 mile from everything such as cafes, restaurants, coffee shops etc… so it gives you the flexibility and easy access to come and go do other things. We would definately come back.

Nice little hotel style place to stay with the family with a nice pool, the corn hole and ping pong table adds to the already awesome walk to the beach you can enjoy with family and friends. Many shells to collect and comfy hammocks available to all with wild bunnies for the kids to chase around. Great time there and definitely will consider staying here in the future!

We loved it so much we extended our stay. Staff friendly and accommodating, rooms clean and comfortable. Beach loungers and towels provided, and the lush greenery, poolside bar and laundry an added bonus. Will definitely stay here again.

This is a hotel upgraded. I love to have a room with ocean view and walk distance. Be ready and bring your umbrella cooler. The hotel will provides the chairs. The restaurant is good only breakfast and dinner is available. Lunch at the pool (fast-food only). No life guards so it gives you the freedom to bring your own kayaks, and beach toys to have fun at the ocean.

Stayed in a renovated room. The bed was super comfy. It was very clean. The breakfast was excellent but the service can use improvement. Loved it here. Nice quiet place. Will definitely return.

Pretty nice. The "private" beach is really just an extension of the regular beach, so the resort amenities are where the real value lies. Hammocks, poolside bar, and location are the best parts. It's a motel style resort, so do not expect frills and thrills… It's basic but clean and sufficient. I would stay here again.

Just got back from a 4 day stay at the Sanibel island beach resort. The grounds were meticulous and views were stunning. With access to a private beach with lounge chairs and beach towels provided it made for a stress free beach day. Each guest was given a wrist band for the duration of their stay to ensure only hotel guests were using the beach and amenities. The rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The tiki bar was slightly over priced for the portions given but the views and proximity to the beach and pool made up for it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sanibel island and would love to return in the future!

I use to love spending my money at the tiki bar as an outside patron. We have been going there for over 20 years. Now they don’t want my money because I’m not a guest. Silly business! Silly new management! Losing out on easy money.

Great place, although their grounds need some upkeep. The path to the beach flooded often and the water would stagnate and fill with rotting weeds. I advised wearing some throw-away sandels when traveling from the hotel to the beach. Tiki bar at the pool was nice, and the restaurant was run very well. Great and modern menu and casual/fine mix atmosphere that is popular these days. I had a good time and the price was good considering the location and the area's vacation desirablity.

Great location and my room was recently redone, modern AC unit, nice decor but all-in-all the amenities don’t live up to the $500/night price tag. Essentially this is a nicely redone motel, not a resort with the expectations that creates. I’m on a two month bucket list tour of the Gulf Coast, about 1/2 way through so I’ve stayed at a lot of places for comparison and this one underperforms the price tag.

Nice place. Great staff and perfect location on the beach. Fun tiki bar and pool is nice and warm on a cool spring morning. Nothing fancy about the place, but we will be staying here again next year when we visit with our family for spring vacation.

Great place to rest. The access to the beach is very good. Sanibel in general is an amazing place.

Hotel has just been taken over and is now listed as a resort. Prices are up, but rooms are the same tired decor. Bathrooms small. Comfortable and good location, right on the beach. Restaurant on site. Have stayed here for several years, and hope that next visit will see upgrades to justify price increase.

Nice beach with lounge chairs for guests, and our room was recently remodeled. It was a nice place to spend time in the beach.

Bait and switch pricing. I booked my stay thru Concur our company travel agent and chose this hotel due to price. The two day stay was nice but since I was on business I didn’t even get to the beach for a walk. Upon check out they add a $25.00 a day resort fee. Not knowing what this was I asked, they said the pool, tennis, ect This fee made me feel I was taken advantage of on the room price.

Best resort that we have ever stayed at in a long time. It was a beautiful island, a beautiful beach and nice people. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. The resort provides beach towels, beach chairs and multiple activities like ping pong and tennis etc. The rooms are clean and have very comfortable beds. Only negative I have is that their Wi-Fi is public and the newer I Phones show as a Unsecured Network and want connect. My wife had no problem with her iPhone and I had no issues with my old MacBook Pro. Overall this is an excellent hotel and we hope to be able to come back. If you have never been to Sanibel Island its beautiful but be prepared to spend big bucks when going out to eat. There are no fast food restaurants or cheep places to eat on the island. Although everywhere we have been have great food.

Beautiful and clean but otherwise pretty lame for the price. We thought we were getting a room with a Gulf view but we did not. Each person is charged a resort fee… and everything shuts down at dusk! (We showed up at the pool and tiki bar at sunset and learned that it was closing. ) No hot tub. Also rooms are noisy.

Everyone was great, the place is beautiful, rooms are clean and just renovated it. Would come back. I got a extra night I loved it.

Easy beach access, and their tiki bar is open to even non-guests. They make a great margarita, and their food was excellent. They had neat sand sculptures on the beach as well, but I don't know how often they contract those.

Nice hotel in a prime location right on the beach. Pool area great, especially the hammocks invite you to linger. Room well equipped but a little in the years but clean. Rental bikes a bit expensive, as well as room rates — however, the price level is on Sanibel ISL. Higher overall. Staff helpful, but not always friendly. For short stays a good hotel.

This was one of the 8 hotels that had a room after Hurricane Irma in all of SWFL. I have stayed here many nights in the past so we were excited. We were told they ended the FL residence and AAA discounts because so many people need rooms. I just looked and the rooms are now $50 cheaper a night then they were 4 days ago, when we were there. We planned on staying another night but we felt like we were being taken advantage of. The hotel was maybe a 1/4 of the way full so it wasn't like it was supply and demand it was just demand. Like I said I have stayed at this hotel many times the past few years including when it was the Holiday Inn. My family have spent 3 Easter weekend's here in the past 5 years and we have never felt like we were treated unfair. It is sad to say but this will probably be the last time that I will stay here.

We have traveled here twice and had the best time ever. Everyone was very nice except the restaurant people and beach snack bar. Very unorganized. Kept getting our orders wrong. More worried about flirting with the patrons that doing their job. Beach very nice.

Outdated rooms! Don't listen to the posting saying "modern. " Our first room had bugs, which looked like bed bugs, but the manager insisted they weren't. A couple minutes later they treated the room with homedepot bug spray… You can hear anything and everything from the room because of the "modern" single pained windows, covered in dead bugs and dust. The only thing really enjoyable about this place was the access to the beach. BEWARE OF THE RESORT FEE! I didn't book on the website, so I was not aware of it! $25 a day.

A lovely little hotel situated very near the beach. If you want a view of the Golf, ask for a second story room, as the first floor has a better view of the pool than the golf. The food is quite expensive at the hotel's restaurant, so be prepared to eat elsewhere if you're strapped for cash. The hotel has a pool, some hammocks, some seating on the beach, as well as a few outdoor activities that you can freely make use of. I recommend it.

I booked the resort for three days and omg what nasty place, no room service, bugs in the room, A/c. Not working and 400$ per night.
Will never recommend this place at all.

I have stayed a few nights each year while on vacation. The rooms are always clean and ths staff is always friendly. The bar tender this year was not friendly. He didn't speak to anyone until he was ready to take your order. He didn't even say hi I will be right with you. We really loved the pool and beach. The prices have went up since they changed ownership or the name. I wouldn't call this place a resort. It's a hotel and is now overpriced.

Nice place to relax. Enjoyed our stay. The title resort/spa is a little misleading. No really anything to do on property after 7pm the tiki bar/ pool closed at 7 pm on a Saturday. No island music. Area is clean/ rooms are nice a little pricey. We have stayed in 4 star resorts for the whole weekend for just a little more cash. They offer rooms over looking the gulf for a couple hundred dollars more which I would of been furious if we would of booked because you would need a set of binoculars to see the gulf. Staff is nice and accommodating. I felt like it was a nice place to go but the website made it sound like an all exclusive resort living. And it's not. Like an updated Holiday Inn. Restaurant was over priced for quality of food. I ordered a cheese board for $18 which was literally 6 small size pieces of salomi and shaved pieces of Mozzarella and Parmesan two small olives that wasn't even edible. Could of made the whole plate for less than $5… would we go back… sure but at least I would know what to expect and we would of ate of property…

This place is so beautiful. I looked at all the other resorts and this one is the best. Great location, best beach, food/drink bar right on the beach. Palm trees with hammocks hanging just for you. Lawn chairs for you. The landscaping is amazi g. I got the Suite and it is perfect. The staff here is so nice. This will be the place I always come back to. It wasn't fancy. For the price of a room facing the pool I expected more. The room was kinda small to fit two queen beds but it was comfortable. The photos I saw online showed the place to be fancier than it really is. They showed the area to be beautiful and updated. I think those photos were taken a very long time ago probably when they first opened up. The pond in the back by beach and pool area was half empty and green with algae. The pool was a bit green and cloudy too. It was raining that day so maybe the rain made it that way who knows. The beach was nice but the sand was really full of shells don't go barefoot. If you like shelling then this is the place. They even give you a draw string bag to put them in. I thought it was a quaint old Florida hotel with very nice flowering trees and palms. But still not worth almost $200 a night.

Good hotel. Clean and exterior well ammenagé. You will pay $25 for the pool and be able to go to the beach, they call CA of the resort fee. This should be included because we choose the hotel because of the photos that show these attributes. No lunch except coffee and muffins.

Home: Very professional and efficient.
Room: OK including curtains well occult but Internet connection (wired LAN) defective in our room (112). No Wifi, too bad.
Bedding: Frankly not terrible.
Bathroom: Obsolete plumbing and very average finishes (as in Egypt, IE).
In summary: Very good service and beauty island with profusion shells. Good value for money seen the place.
