We ❤️ getting to decorate for events at LBKC! The staff is always so friendly and the atmosphere is stunning and relaxing. If you’re looking for a luxury location to vacation or host an event look no further!

They always say the first impression is the best impression. When you walk into this resort you are greeted and treated as though you've been there many many times. Every person at the front check in is helpful smiling and very accommodating. Tim is one of the greatest Managers we've ever encountered. What a great guy. Rooms, clean with lots of amenities in the room for you to feel all the comforts of home. Elizabeth at the latitudes restaurant is a warm welcome as well. Extremely efficient, making sure your cup is always full and you have everything you need for your dining experience. Carlos also works at latitude's restaurant and he's very accommodating as well. We decided to visit one of the off-site restaurants of theirs called tavern and whiskey bar. Miranda was our server. Extremely nice and efficient and made sure your experience was very nice. Now let's step outside. The swimming pool area offers toys for kids to play in the pool as well as toys for them to play in the sand on the beach. We have never been to a resort that was so accommodating for families. I think one of the nicest things outside is they have an ice machine and cold water for you to have ice cold water anytime you want with cups. Step down to the beach and you're welcome to buy a young group of people who find chairs and an umbrella in any area that you want to sit in to suit you. You can also order food and drinks on the beach which is also very nice as well.

What a fabulous resort on the beach. Beautiful suites with new facilities. Very clean and well kept rooms and grounds. Friendly staff and a good location on Longboat Key, close to St. Armand’s Circle, The Dry Dock and The Chart House Restaurant and Publix.

Gorgeous property, amazing beachfront, excellent tennis, friendly helpful staff. Very happy with our stay. A suggestion: provide bug spray and/or cortisone cream in room for bites — bugs are vicious!

Amazing resort and everyone who works here are wonderful. It’s low key and high end. Beautiful place to bring family or a romantic getaway. The rooms are gorgeous and very large. This is my third time staying here and we will be back!

Very nice staff, very clean, food was excellent. We go there again anytime.

The rooms are very spacious. Ours over looked a canal. We enjoyed the large balconies and wild life such as a dolphins, manatees and beautiful birds. The food and service was top notch. I had the chefs new mezetto wrap for lunch beachside. I look forward to returning very soon.

It was a perfect vacation spot and I wouldn’t recommend going anywhere else. Our room had been upgraded as a Christmas gift. The concierge, room service, and outdoor bar were nothing but amazing. Beautiful renovated rooms and stunning sunset views.

We have not enough words to describe how wonderful our experience is at this resort. Our suite is amazingly spacious and beautiful. In addition it comes equipped with all the amenities we need in order to fully enjoy our stay. The view from our balcony is totally breathtaking, overlooking the pool area and the beach. The beach is also incredibly beautiful and just a few steps away from our building. There is also a restaurant in the pool area that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, which we found very convenient. Overall we are having a great experience. I strongly recommend this resort.

Amazing experience, the suites are newly remodeled with all high end appliances. Smart TV and outlets everywhere for your phones.
The most breathtaking views from our balcony and the picture perfect sunsets. Definitely will return to this hidden gem. Not crowded, quiet and family friendly, excellent place to unwind.

We had been visiting this resort for the last 20 years. We will never return again. Service was terrible and rude. They have no housekeeping because of COVID and it took over an hour for us to get towels and toilet paper when we requested. They didn’t take our trash outside our doors for several days. It was gross. They wouldn’t even give someone a cup for water because of COVID but you sure could pay for a mixed drink. Couldn’t sleep several nights because of noise. Also the air conditioning was lousy. Pretty sure they turn it off late at night.

The resort itself is gorgeous. Fabulous customer care. Extremely courteous and helpful staff. Beach, pool, marina, golf, tennis, a labyrinth, pickleball, bikes this place has it all.

What separates a good hotel from a GREAT hotel is service. We had some unfortunate car problems an hour from the hotel, got terrible service from our car rental and no Uber or Lyft to be found. Finally called the hotel and THEY SENT A CAR to get us and we had chilled wine in our room after a many hours ordeal. Extra thank yous to Heidi for going the extra mile. We are currently in our room and happy. 10/10 will come back!

Beautiful grounds. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We had a suite that overlooked the lagoon. Fish were jumping and the birds were swooping in for a meal.

We’ve been going to longboat key club for many many years. We were looking for and found the perfect get away! The hotel the staff the amenities you’ll find no better Stop looking book your stay trust me you’ll love it. We try to get there at least 2 times a year. It’s the perfect place for my husband and I to go alone or with our kids and grandkids.

Great location with wonderful, condo style rooms. Beach is perfect. They are in the process of remodeling. A better visit once that is completed! There is no pool right now. However, as nice as the beach is a pool really isn’t needed. We loved it!

Where to begin. What an incredibly disappointing experience with this resort. My advise, do not use them for your wedding. We were not so lucky and unfortunately were mistreated, scammed and lied to. We booked this venue for our wedding in JULY of 2018. We thought we had found the perfect place. We were told they had construction going on to fix the front and that it would all be done before our wedding in June of 2019. So we decided to book our wedding on South beach, thinking we just found the perfect place. WELL! 3 months BEFORE our wedding, (after having the wedding planner THEY recommended send out all out invites), we received an email stating they will be beginning construction on the buildings to “get ready for their 2020 guests”. Sick to our stomachs, we did not want to spend one for our most special days surrounded by construction. They continued on with telling us this was a “last minute decision”. My husband owns his own part in construction and to try and b. S. People who know that this kind of construction takes planning and permits is sickening. Sickening that they would continue to let us get that far in our wedding planning without a word until 3 months before. They also continued on as if it was not a big deal, and that we could still stay in Building 1 that we were promised and had set up a year prior. We figured okay as long as things can still stay the same and we are able to go through with everything we had already set up in planning. THEN!

We were planning to stay at this resort but had to cancel because our plans changed. I canceled before the time I had to, and have the written confirmation from email earlier in the week to indicate that everything was canceled properly. Tonight I checked my card and found out that they charged my card with a large deposit anyway, despite the fact that I canceled. I called the hotel only to be told I was talking to the night clerk and would have to deal with it tomorrow. I cannot stress enough to avoid this place. There are many luxury properties in Florida so no need to deal with this kind of incompetence and/or theft. Update at 8:24 am Friday — still trying to get through to an actual person to get this charge taken off my card. All I can get is reservations, and they either leave me on hold or put me in voicemail. They will not put me through to any kind of person with responsibility. Update on 7/23 — refund has finally come through on my bank account. After the rudeness on Friday morning I am updating this to reflect that they did process the refund (funds they took in error from my account), but it took a lot of effort (time, calls, persistence) on my part to get this corrected which I still do not appreciate. I would like to comment that I also called their management company — opal collections — and that person wouldn't even return my call. So I can't in good conscience take this down & let it happen again and again.

I’ve been staying at The Resort at Longboat Key (or Inn on The Beach) for almost 30 years, it really is a little piece of heaven! White sand so soft it squeaks under your toes, speaking of toes, you can not beat The Barefoot Bar and Grill! Along with refreshing poolside drinks and super staff it just so happens to serve the BEST grilled cheese you can imagine! Gorgeous rooms and suites, stylishly decorated with all mod-cons, if you’re lucky enough to choose a Gulf view room you’ll have a front row seat to sunsets you’ll never forget! I’ve stayed at other resorts in the area but none have that home from home feel that you find at the Resort at Longboat Key, from the staff to the sunloungers everything you find here is just the best of the best!

This has been our 'go to' place for the last 26 years — our favorite place in the world. My children always asked — 'why do you keep going back to the same place? You only get one vacation a year and there are so many places you have not seen or visited? Well in 2009 we did a renewal of our vows and brought our family — my daughter walked out onto her deck A leaned on the railing and looked out to the gulf and beach — she turned to me and said 'I get it now' — it is a hidden treasure — in so many ways — amenities, views, service, golf, tennis, shopping, restaurants — you get just about anything you could want — our secret is that we come in September or October — the people are amazing.

Longboat Key is our favorite beach. It's quiet, tranquil and beautiful. We were excited to try this resort and the location, the view and the room were awesome! 10th floor of building 3 cannot be beat. We also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. Highly recommend the fish tacos — they are fantastic. There were two things that kept this from being a 5. We were never able to get hot water in the shower (even though we got hot water in the sink). We wanted to pay for dinner separate from our room tab and we were told we had to put it on the room because it's a private restaurant. I've been to many resorts and have never heard of this limitation before. Also — they put a 20% automatic gratuity on the bill. Our server was ok, but I didn't feel like he earned 20%. We were one of the only tables and had to flag him down to get waters refilled. They were empty a loooong time. So — adding options for guests on how to pay and allowing us to determine gratuity levels without requiring us to make a scene would be great. The staff was wonderful though and so accommodating. Pool and beach areas are gorgeous and we can't wait to visit again!

Excellent place to stay. Wonderful accommodations. Clean and very well maintained. However, be careful with the special package that include meals. There is a service charge of 20% included on top of your bill. Also make sure you get to the restaurant on time before breakfast ends at 11 am or before the sun goes down or you will be out of luck. We were not aware dinner ended at sundown, not a specific time but sundown & so we lost our meal plan for the day. The women at the desk were a bit rude & wouldn't accommodate us even though we thought dinner was available until 9 pm. We would have gone out to grab something to eat but everything was too far to drive & would have been closed by the time we got there. We wound up eating rice cakes and snacks for dinner. They also has some what of a limited menu. A bit pricey too. Do try going to Dry Dock Grill about 10 min away. Worth going out for.

This was a beautiful resort and we cant wait to come back again. Rooms were wonderful and thank you for the great pool bar service! PS Be sure to try the Breakfast Buffet, it was very good…
