We stayed for 2 nights and it was wonderful! Cannot find a better beach, so good having beach chairs and an umbrella right there! The best part, EVERYONE is really friendly, thanks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We loved our stay! The rooms are very quiet. We didn’t ever hear anyone walking by or any noise between the rooms. The beds were comfortable which is so important! The beach was so convenient and a huge bonus the chairs and umbrellas were included. I don’t have a single complaint and we will return!

Nice size rooms, friendly staff, clean, private beach and amenities such as umbrellas and beach chairs are always a plus. Our go-to place!

We got here on thursday and have been having such a great time! rooms are clean and comfortable the staff frim the front desk to the maintenance crew and cleaning staff do a great job. its a short walk to the beach and also to the Kokonut hut which mskes great food and great drinks! we love this place so much we will be back in August. 5 stars all around.

This was my family’s first vacation out of New York. The staff and manger were amazing. The rooms were perfect for us and the atmosphere was phenomenal… We were sad to leave and can’t wait to come again.

The private beach being able to use the beach umbrellas from the chairs that was a definite plus the pool was always clean housekeeping was always attentive and the front desk clerks were always positive uplifting we had free breakfast Wi-Fi the parking was great.

My husband and I absolutely love it here! This was our second time staying here. Hotel is absolutely spotless and staff is first class. Beach is beautiful and staff provide umbrellas and lounge chairs. We highly recommend it and this will continue to be our go to on AMI!

Love it! only thing between us and the Beach is the street. Cross the street and you are on there amazing beach. We got the studio king with a sleeper sofa, table for 4, microwave, mini frig, sink with dishes, and a coffee pot with coffee, Common area with 4 Bbq's and picnic tables and heated pool. Great place to stay has all your basic needs.

We just returned from a 5 night stay. It was absolutely wonderful! From check-in to check-out everything was wonderful. They supply umbrellas, lounge chairs and beach towels for guests. We stayed in the seahorse building and we had a small stove and full sized fridge so we cooked some there. They also have gas grills which we used as well! our room was spotless when we arrived. Thank you for taking such good care of us! we can't wait to come back!

We arrived Tuesday July 28th for 3 nights. Room was small but perfect for the 2 of us. Matthew was very friendly when we checked in and gave me a great recommendation for a restaurant for dinner. Everything was so close and we were glad we brought our bikes. The pool was quite warm. Not sure if it’s heated or not but it wasn’t very refreshing in the 100 degree heat. We had a problem with our a/c and the maintenance guys were incredible. Super friendly and replaced our a/c within 15 min of my reporting it. Only problem we really had was the refrigerator stunk really bad. We think that maybe someone before us put bait or something in it. We put a few drinks in it but took them back out because we didn’t want to have to keep opening the door. It was very bad. All in all our trip was fantastic and we would definitely stay here again! Room was VERY clean!

We stayed at Silver Surf for the first time and we loved it! All of the employees were very nice and helpful. Meagan at the front desk was our favorite though. Room was great and accommodating. Private beach was amazing! Everyone was so nice. They have chairs and umbrellas for our use and the beach employees were super nice and helpful. You could rent wave runners and sail boats. We can't wait to come back. Their logo… "You're going to love it here" was definitely true.

We stayed here for what was originally a one night last minute stop over on our favourite island, but that soon turned into 2 nights as the silversurf was so lovely. Jason on reception and all the staff we encountered were really lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The beach towels, chair and lounger usage on the beach, sun umbrellas and the private beach access were all amazing and very handy as was the use of the heated pool. We easily fitted 2adults and 2children 1 of which was in a travel cot and it was so nice to be able to see the ocean from our window. We will most definitely be coming back!

My husband and I went there for our first ever vacation with no kids! The to go breakfast wasn’t good but, the room was clean and comfy beds. No hassle by staff… friendly people and right next to the beach. It really was everything we hoped for. We aren’t fancy people. It was the beach feel we was looking for… my husband and I agreed this will be our vacation spot each year from now on!

Loved this resort! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beach access is amazing and it’s in a great location at the southern end of the island. We will be staying here again.

Had a very enjoyable stay at Silver Surf. For a 2-star hotel, accommodations were quite adequate and comfortable. Loved being able to walk straight to the beach and have towels, chairs, and umbrella provided. Kind front desk staff personnel. I would highly recommend and would enjoy staying there again in the future.

We were just here, over the weekend. The entire staff was so accomodating! 3 generations stayed. Everyone loved it! From the private beach, to the heated pool! We were not charged for a late check out, either. Beach towels, chairs, etc. Were all provided. Thank you for such a wonderful weekend!

Great place. A hidden gem. The staff is amazing and always willing to help and to provide their guests with the best experience. Rooms are clean and have all that you may need. Beach is right across the street, includes beach chairs and umbrellas. Super convenient. It was my fiancé’s birthday and they made everything they could to make it a great one. When we walked into the room they had left balloons and a glass that had happy birthday painted on it. Kudos and special thanks to Jason. Thanks for everything Silver Surf. We’ll be back for sure!

Quiet little getaway with private beach access. Loved it here and will go back and have been back. Free use of their chairs and umbrellas on the beach plus a grilling area at the motel for everyone to use. Prices fluctuate according to the time of year it is. You could stay here for any amount of time you wish. Continental breakfast served in the office each morning. They also have a website you can book your room on.

A wonderful clean place to stay with friendly staff. A little dated but VERY clean and family oriented, with a nice pool and private access to the beach (see photo). Very good price for the value! We stayed here for our 21st wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. They take pride in the place and it shows.

Staff was very hospitable. Absolutely loved the beach and the fact it was for Silver Surf residents which meant no overcrowding. Will definitely be back next year. My new vacation spot. See y'all next year.

Welcomed here, for a late check in, after travelling from Orlando airport, via the I4. The journey took over 4 hours, so we were tired by the time we got there. The reception staff were very welcoming, and also recommended somewhere to eat. The room was one of the older buildings, on the left as you go in from the road. It was very clean and had everything you would need. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom, although small, had a good shower. I would recommend this place, not too expensive and just a stride away from a great beach. The beach has loungers supplied by the hotel, and other services, such a jetski and sail boats. Thoroughly recommend the hotel.

We even extended our stay because we liked it so much.
— Private access to the beach, where you could enjoy a lot of peace and quiet during the day. One or the other dolphin can see — on the beach there are free sun loungers and parasols in sufficient quantity — location: On a beautiful not overbooked island. No mass tourism.
— Breakfast: For American conditions quite good u. Also available to go — rooms clean and very nicely decorated — in addition to the direct seaside location, there is a swimming pool — free and ample parking space The only drawback is the very thin walls, through which one hears a loud conversation already. The hotel does, however, write a night's sleep from 10pm.

This is a great place to stay! Located directly across the street from a beautiful private beach the Silver Surf has regular hotel rooms and rooms with kitchenettes. We stayed in a resort room for a week it was the perfect size for a family of 3. The staff were super friendly and the pool was clean. The only thing I did not love was the TV, it was small to begin with and the cable did not format correctly to the TV making the picture even smaller. Once the kids are asleep you might be better off with a book. Anna Maria island is very busy and has a lot of traffic streaming on to it so plan accordingly when traveling there!

Perfect sized rooms with everything you could need while staying a few nights or more. Large, private beach right across the street, very freindly and helpful staff, peaceful location. This is a great spot for families of any size, and the other people staying here are really nice as well.

Very convenient location across the street from their private beach and an easy walk to several beach front restaurants. Rooms are a tad dated, but very well maintained. A fresh water pool is available as is a modest free breakfast each morning. The staff is awesome.

This hotel has exceeded our expectations. We were greeted very friendly and even received cookies for greeting. The room was clean. Besides a TV there was still fridge, Mikowelle us crockery/cutlery! The car can be parked directly in front of the room. The room was very quiet! Beach towels as well as sunbeds with Parasol are also included!
Breakfast is served at the front desk with delicious homemade muffins. There are also bagels, toast, coffee machine and juice.
We would love to come back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days in this quaint quiet motel. With the best beach ever-"Caribbean" type waters where we could see our feet in waist deep waters! Super clean, convenient, across from beach (beach, road, motel). Motel provides beach chairs, towels, umbrellas free to all guest and there are plenty for all guests. No need to arrive early to get one. They also have other rentals (jet skis, pattleboards, etc. ) Very nice pool and provides continental breakfast. We loved our stay! Thought it was worth every penny we paid!

The Silver Gulf Beach Resort was a great stay. Just the right size for a soccer outing at IMG Academy. Nice clean King size bed with cookies upon arriving. Fridge and microwave came in clutch for bottled water and warming up my 3 year olds milk. Overall great experience — will look to see about repeating the stay in the future.

Cannot say enough great things about our stay at the Silver Surf (Dec. 1st). From even before we arrived they were always polite and helpful over the phone. Never visiting the area I did not know what to expect and we usually stay at your typical Hilton like hotels so I was a bit unsure. Def used the reviews as guidance and wanted to make sure I wrote one as well because this place deserves praise. We were on a weekend getaway from our 5 kiddos and it couldn’t have been better. Julie in the lobby was wonderful and super helpful. The private beach access was so nice right across the street. They even made our room romantic for our arrival as I requested. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. We will def return for a longer stay. We really enjoyed the relaxed casual vibe from the area and would like to see more of it. We ate at the Beachhouse Restaurant with our feet in the sand, Anita was a wonderful waitress, the place was great. We had a beach massage from Sea-renity spa and it was nice however we would prob not do it again. There was a lot of distractions being so close to beach access bridge and the road. Very convenient that you can contact them for services as well as water sports rentals right from the hotel website. Would prob go to the spa itself in the future. When looking for a place to stay you should not hesitate booking at the Silver Surf, you will not be disappointed.

Silver Surf has many rental options in their private beach that separate them from the nearby resorts/hotels (jetski, other water sports) along with massages on the beach. We really enjoyed our stay, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a little small, but was ok for just my husband and I. The beach is right across a 2 lane street, there are many great restaurants within walking distance, and bridge street is around a 15 minute walk and has put put, shopping, and bars. The free trolley runs the length of the island all day so there's really no need to rent a car. I would definitely come back in the future.

Just stayed for one night. This Resort is very clean and has a nice pool, beach access, and very nice grill area. Plenty of parking and elevators. The management is 5 stars and provide a continental breakfast with great nightly room rates.

Had a hot night! The AC, didn't work. Wanted to down grade our room. And with four adults. There would not have been any room. For 208$ a night. Having to pay for ice. And a hot ass pool… would not stay again… and… the beach is across the street on the pictures of the place, they make it look like your on, the beach… never again. Was clean, I give it that. But stains were on the box springs… ewww.

First time here and it's amazing! Staff is awesome, room is super clean and three steps away from the beach! We got beach chairs and umbrellas! You can rent paddle board, jet ski and also do parasailing! Free coffee and fruit as well at the hotel! We are def coming back again! Great job staff! Beach is absolutely beautiful! Water is crystal clear and you can swim in it! Lots of wonderful restaurants 5 min walk away! This is a secret gem and hidden paradise! Strongly recommend!

Absolutely amazing. I am a Florida native, and Tampa resident, and we "escape" to Anna Maria any second we get. Needless to say, we have stayed at a few different places in our early Anna Maria island days… until we found Silver Surf. We refuse to stay anywhere else on the island now. The place is 110% incredible. I wish I could praise a certain staff member by name, but they are ALL amazing. Krista, Jackie, all of them; my god. Paradise with AMAZING customer service. If you're thinking about staying here, skip all the other reviews and just book it. They are THE best.

We have been twice and our first visit was fabulous but our last visit we found that some of the office staff were very rude to us. We also constantly had sand in our bed as if no one ever changed the sheets. Also found that the staff that work on the beach were rude as well. The beach is beautiful and the hotel is nice. But restaurants on the island suck nothing that 5 star!

We are still staying here as I write this. Everything has been great so far. We love the private beach and the staff has been really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was an ok continental and a bit crowded. Pool is nice and refreshing. In a king room with the couch pulled out it was a little tight to get the bathroom. Great hotel!

Rooms were nice. Staff was awesome. The only issue I noticed is that there were what looked to be roach/insect droppings on our bed. The maids that clean the rooms are really nice, friendly and helpful. The pool area was nice, as well. The private beach was nice but had to walk across the road to get to the beach and then were treated kind of rude by the jetbski rental people that are out there overlooking the guest and supposedly accommodating them. They treated us as if we didn't belong there. I will definitely consider going back but plan on exploring other options, as well.

Found this neat place thanks to Groupon. We were very satisfied with the many accommodations here, and the beach is right across the street! They have lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach for their guests to use… The rooms are clean and have a partial kitchen along with grills on property for guests to use as well… The staff was more than accommodating. Enjoyed our stay and hope to go back soon.

This was our second time staying here for our anniversary. The staff always sets the room up so special with rose petals and candles and even a card. So glad we took the gulf view room with a big screened balcony this time. Huge room with full kitchen. Can't say enough about the friendly service, one of the ladies even offered to bring me a jacket when her shift ended because I forgot to pack mine. If you're looking for high end rooms and furnishings, this isn't the place for you, but if you want a clean and comfortable lodging with friendly staff, this is it! The private beach across the street with FREE chairs, umbrellas and towels is an added bonus.

Nice hotel. Traffic was a little busy when getting to cross the street. Other than that the room was clean and nice. They offered a small breakfast. Loved chairs and umbrellas were free at the beach.

We arrive Sunday for a getaway and fall in love with this Resort immediately. The rooms are comfortable, very clean and the service is very helpful and always with a smile. Their private beach is like we dream it. They have Jet Ski rental and massage options at your expense, but the treatment is of royalty. I recommend this small getaway resort in Ana María Island. Is like paradise.

Room is small, but location, location, location! This is like the perfect spot, right in the middle of Anna Maria Island. And you can't get much closer to the beach, unless you book a hotel on the beach. Silver surf is just across the street from their own private beach. They have chairs and umbrellas on the beach. The free trolley has a stop right in front of the hotel lobby. This trip was a getaway for my husband and me, but we've already decided to come back here with the kids, and book a bigger suite.

Great price, location, and staff! Room was nice and clean. I told them when I booked the room, that the trip was to celebrate a birthday and when we arrived they had a card, happy birthday cup, and balloons waiting in our room as a surprise. It was so nice and really set the tone for the entire stay. I will be coming back!

We absolutely loved it here! Fantastic room, we had zero problems with this place. Very clean, lots of towels, nice view. Everything about the room was exactly as I imagined it would be. People that work here are so kind and nice, we had accidentally left one of our car doors open (probably too excited to get to the beach), front desk called and notified me within the hour. We loved the private beach right across the street, very close to shopping and restaurants, and easy to rent jet skis, paddle boards, etc. Since it's located right on this beach. I would absolutely recommend this place, best hotel I've ever stayed in! I would definitely love to come back here.

We loved it there and was very impressed by the cleaness of our room. Loved the fact that there were lots of pillows and Towels. We loved everthing… the only bad experience was the lady at checkout! She was very rude… not to me but to the people in front of me… we checked out on July 10th. We Will be back! Janet and Les House.

Loved it. Our small cheap room had everything we needed and more. Was not expecting a small fridge or free umbrellas and chairs on beach but they have that. Bathrooms are small but still ok.

We stayed for three nights and I was not ready to leave. The decor was cute but the room had a few needed fixes. We had the king bed studio with a mini kitchen and dining area, pretty much had everything we needed. I loved the little private beach across the road. We didn't make it to the pool. It was a very nice location for the cost, stay 2 nights get the 3rd free $267 total. Anna Maria Island is a beautiful island with white sand beaches and regulations keeping out the big high rises protecting the quiet island atmosphere. Late check in and check out were no problem with request, staff was friendly.

I've been going to the Silver surf for 10 years and have had a great time every time, until this past visit. The night manager, Bill, was excellent and hospitable as usual. We were informed that we should not be out and about on the property after 10pm. A curfew for adults, really? The room was okay as usual, however this time my wife came home with bed bug bites all over her. The beds have never been that great, and to add bed bugs was a push over the top. The hotel's prices seem to rise every time I visit. $150+tax for a mediocre room is really pushing it with me. I used to pay no more than $100 at the same place a couple years ago. What really did it for me was the way I was treated when our party was heading out for breakfast. I have never had a problem getting a late check out, especially when the place is half empty. However this time they told me that if we were not expecting to be back before 1030 then we would need to check out and that we were not invited to use the private beach or facilties the rest of the day. Mind you we checked in at 8pm the night before! Severely disappointed with the place and I will not be vacationing there any more. It hurts my heart to say that, but after 10 years of loyal patronage to be treated like a 18 year old kid renting my first hotel room I simply won't stand for it.
