It wasn't too bad but not what we hoped for. Bedroom was the living room area. There was an extra room at the front door that we did not use and a futon (couch that turns into a bed) that my kids slept on. Kitchen was full sized and a nice sized bathroom. The pool was okay. They do provide two beach chairs and an umbrella you can use although we never did use them. Each room has a small pool side patio that they tell you to leave your dirty soiled towels and they replace them with fresh ones the next morning. I put ours out one morning before 8 am but after 2 1/2days no one changed them. We stayed for 3nights/4days Luckily we had brought some of our own.

Funky, old time Florida place right across from the beach and easy walking distance to restaurants and harbarside shops. Recommend you try it but don't expect "fancy, upscale and modern". Extremely friendly and accomodating service. Family and pet friendly.

Location great. Friendly staff. Pet friendly. Simple room space but sufficient. Beds uncomfortable and need to be replaced, at least in Nice grounds and heated pool. Many great restaurants close. Across the street from beach.

I stayed 2 nights over the weekend. My room was nice, clean, and very comfortable. Kathy was extremely helpful. Some reviews complained about the beds… mine was very comfortable. I will stay there again if in the area. I was very pleased with the accommodations. I was so pleased that my furry child was allowed. We saw many other well behaved dogs.

Very nice, clean, quite and close to the beach. Rates are fair and amenities are great. Pool is comfotable and well maintained.

Wonderful experience! The room was comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds have a super homely feel with the use of the barbecue deck and pool. There are chairs and an umbrella to use on the beach (which is a few steps across the road) and even toys for the pool as well. There were adorable rocking chairs to sit in to sip my morning coffee. Great views and centralized location, close to everything.

Fun place to stay. Nothing fancy. Great location.

We have been staying at the Queen's Gate for twelve years. We love the location and the friendliness of the staff, along with some other regular guests at the time of our visit. The past eight years have been especially nice due to the relationship we have developed with the manager, Kathy. She goes about her business in a very professional manner overseeing the business as if it were her own, rather than just that of an employee. She has the ability of making everyone feel welcome, and I'm sure that plays a significant role in that many guests return on an annual basis. Over the years we have developed a friendship at Queens Gate that we hope will continue for years to come. Bob Carozza, PGA, PA.

My husband and I stopped with the intentions of staying 1 night and we loved the place, the people were so friendly and the atmosphere was just so romantic that we ended up staying for seven nights, we did not want to head back home to NY. If we ever go to Florida again it would be to this place for sure, it was centrally located to the beach the coconut hut for good music and drinks and dining plus tons of other places to eat, it was so close to lots of shopping and just so many serine places and beaches with the most gorgeous sunsets that I ever seen. There was a beautiful pool which I wanted to use but just could not keep myself from the beautiful scenery long enough to use it. The place smelled so nice each time we walked in and we had access to wash clothes if needed. We loved it! Thanks for making our vacation a great memory in our hearts.

At check in I was told that unless I needed them they wouldn't bother me… they kept their word. This is a quaint place with comfortable rooms that are up to date with amenities and furnishings. Easy access to beach and resort parking (right in front of the room). A great little casual meeting and bar b Que area next to the pool. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was very clean. Thanks Queens Gate… just what I needed from time of check in 12 hours of restful sleep… the beach was nice but the locally adjacent bars where fantastic. Maybe you could work on guest mingles night around pool and pit area. Loved the place… will be back.

Just came home from a visit to Bradenton Beach and The Queen's Gate Resort. While the rooms are small (we stayed in a double efficiency) and not as many ammenities as places we have stayed in the past, it was perfect for us. After all, we did not spend all that much time in our room as there is so much to see and do! The staff is very helpful and friendly, the location is great! Just a walk across the street brings you to the lovely, white sand beaches and a nearby restaurant where we had dinner, drinks and breakfast a few times, during our stay. We would definitely stay there again and were very happy w/ our experience @ Queen's Gate.

My parents, my brother and his family, and my family all stayed here for spring break in 2012. Our experience was great! The staff was friendly and attentive. We had the house plus one of the small rooms. The house was well equipped and we all met there for our meals. My family stayed in the small rental room, which was basically a 1950s architecture motel room that had been updated. It was perfect for my family of 4. There were other families staying there, so plenty of kids for my brother's little ones. Pool was a nice size with shade trees and tables and chairs. There wasn't a problem with noise (as I've read on some reviews), even though the properties on the island are packed in tight. Directly across the road is the beach. Technically, it's not private, but since there isn't really any public parking nearby, it is primarily used only by people of the surrounding 2 or 3 resorts. Traffic can be tough to navigate at times as there is only one road making it's way through the island, but if you want to stay at a beachfront resort, you can expect to shell out quite a few more bucks than here. The staff keeps a good watch on things, and as they are locals, they can give you quite a few pointers about things to do, places to go, where to eat. (She even printed off our airline boarding passes for us!

My wife and I have been going to Queen's Gate for the last 6+ years. Sometimes, twice a year. The resort is literally steps away from a private beach, that usually has very few people on it. White sands, warm waters, and complete relaxation. The rooms themselves are *very* clean, and smell wonderful. All of the basic comforts of home are there, and the staff/owners will definitely go out of their way to make your stay that much more pleasant. There are some modest smaller rooms, as well as multi-bed room cottages. We've stayed in both. There's a heated and very clean pool out in the back. We feel that Queen's Gate has great value and will continue to be our home-away-from-home in Florida.

Just came back from my weekend at the Queen's Gate Resort. The rooms are very nice. I got a chance to look at 4 different types of rooms as I spent the weekend with other members of my family. I booked the room with two double beds. First thing I noticed was that the room was very clean and smelled wonderful. The room is equipped with dishes, utensils, a small sink, a coffee maker and a mini fridge. The fridge is definitely not big enough to fit much, but it was very convenient anyway as we were able to keep some snacks handy. There is a flat screen TV with cable. The room is a pretty nice size with tile floor and pretty comfortable beds. My sister in law got the Queen Efficiency which is the same as our room except one Queen bed instead of two double beds My mother-in-law and sister-in-law booked the King and Poolside Cottages. Those rooms were equipped with a full kitchen with a stove full fridge, TV with cable, King/Queen beds with a separate room with a double/queen bed. One thing I did notice were that the stoves were very old and it was very difficult to cook things evenly on it. The resort is very quiet and clean. The pool had floats and other toys for kids. There are beach towels and beach toys that guests can take with them across the street to the beach. I had a lovely weekend and will gladly return hopefully very soon.

We stayed here for two nights. The motel is clean cute the staff vary friendly and helpful. The room comfortable good flat screen TV. Beautiful landscaping. Quiet location across the st from ocean and close to shopping and restaurants.

Had a great time on the island and this is a wonderful little inn to call home while staying. We will definitely be back next year and look forward to our home away from home. David and Robin Weddell Carpentersville, IL.
