Had to check out early because I physically could not breathe in the room anymore with my husband and baby. Was placed in a room where there is clearly some kind of health hazard as it is obvious carpet was ripped up and placed back down due to some kind of water damage. My husband and I could see the stains from the water damage and what does water damage lead to… mold. There was an extremely musty smell, I’m not sure how cleaning ladies go in there and think it’s okay, or anyone for that matter. I’m disgusted they would allow anyone to stay in this room (106), especially considering all accommodations in the area have been completely booked for the weekend, leaving us with no other option. I never once experienced the musty odor and breathing problems I just had to go thru at any other hotel I have stayed at. I feel robbed having to pay the same as everyone else knowing the room is pretty much uninhabitable. I panted on my way out telling an employee there, and go figure the moment I stepped outside my breathing became a lot easier. Will never return or recommend anyone to stay there. Edit: Manager called us and was more concerned with why we didn’t complain sooner than having a health hazard in his hotel (I did not know for sure the room was causing my problems until I spent over 24 hours in there and then left — but I guess the manager wants people to complain and jump to assumptions right away versus trying to be understanding and trusting that the Hotel would know better than to put people in hazardous rooms). He also accused of us smoking in the room — I have a 5 month old daughter and he knew because he helped me get into the room with my luggage. That is absolutely degrading and disgusting and I can’t believe he is the Manager and has no problem accusing people of things, especially a breastfeeding mom who tries to keep her stress levels low. I will be calling the Health Department and City in the morning.
