Asked them to not let house keeping into the room. She went in and the dog ran out. She has been gone for over a month. They wouldn't even let lost dog signs be put up. Disgraceful for a motel that says they are dog friendly. Where is she?

The room was upgraded and clean, but I wish it didn't have carpet. Unfortunately the bathroom was not upgraded. We paid a little more to get breakfast included, but the breakfast wasn't worth it. It was just there to tick the box.

It's ok… if you just need a good night sleep… the ice maker didn't work for the two days I was there.

Room waa clean that's all that was good about and front desk help in the evening was good ref not working.

They had nice rooms and nice people that worked there noby was rude it's a good place to stay last minute and for a good price.

Our stay started with a room without a working toilet and no towels. But they quickly changed our room and apologized for the event. The rooms are clean and beds are very comfy. Despite the error of being given a bad room first, this was a very nice place with a friendly staff.

Nice room. Everything clean and comfy. Beds and Pillows very comfy. Buttt im pregnant and my only complaint is that I get restless legs bad and have to take a warm bath before bed to calm my legs and the water in the bath only got a little warmer than luke warm so they need to get the water heater over on that end turned up or something.

I'm not one to typically stay at an econolodge, but this one had great reviews so we decided to try it out. We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, comfort and price! This will be our stopping place to and from Florida from now on.

Set my phone on the towel rack and the rack came loose from the top so my phone slid into the toilet, then the toilet overflowed! Told the man up front we used the towels to dry the overflowing toilet he replied with "don't use all the towels and wring them out in the bathtub"! So, if you don't mind paying them to clean their faulty plumbing mess, have your phone repaired due to their faulty bathroom accessories, and appreciate being woken 2 1/2 hours before checkout then by all means be their guest! The only maid there was the best part of the 3 rooms rented! Oh yeah btw… fleas in 1 non-pet room and 2 different prices for 1 room!

The place is very nice and very clean for an econolodge. We got a pet friendly room which had laminate floors. They let us have our room at 12pm, well before the check-in time. That was really nice because we had been driving a long ways through tons of traffic due to Hurricans Irma.

We evacuated to this hotel during hurricane Irma. The owner is a good guy. He took very good care of his guests, including making sure everyone had some bottled water (very hard to find at stores) for the ride home. The hotel is comfortable and offers pretty strong Wi-Fi. There is a washing machine for the guests on site and it is near a coin laundry up the street. There are many restaurants and a gas station nearby.

If you need a basic place to crash, this is it. Vending machines and laundry machines outside for use. Rooms are simple, pets allowed. Air conditioning left off until you personally turn it on. No really good area for pets to relieve themselves. Service is fairly poor, couldn't formally check out, did the bare minimum when checking me in. Didn't feel super welcome, but was polite.

This is certainly the best option in the area (north of Highway 98) and I've stayed at this location on several occasions. The rooms are always clean, the paint is recent and whoever is on duty will actually listen if you have something to report.

The room was nice. The beds were very comfortable. Very pleased with our stay.

Over all its a nice hotel. Close to interstate 10 for travelers. Food, fuel and shopping nearby. Only about 30 minutes to the beach. Would stay again.

This is clearly an older motor lodge. But it has been updated recently with nice modern decor. The rooms are larger, unlike the newer lodges along the interstate. One could easily fit an additional air mattress on the floor in a king room. The room is super clean, equipped with a fridge and microwave. Nice huge TV. Bed is fine. Bathroom is satisfactory. Sink/counter area off the bathroom is huge. Breakfast is basic, but there is a good discount for guests at the steak house (which has a breakfast buffet) that is right next door… I travel this route frequently. This Econolodge Will be my go-to stay over every time.

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star! Even reported to bbb… highly disappointed with the owner aND choice hotels corporate! Would NEVER recommend anyone to stay at ANY choices hotel chains! The manager was very rude and I was charged $90 for a room I never got to sleep in! Wouldn't even give me my original booked date for a room the next week even though he had some available! What a total rip off! Very bad and poor businessship! Only in it for the free scammed money!

Rooms were very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Very impressed with thia hotel and would recommend.

Nothing fancy, just the basics but CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE! Isn't that what it's all about? I'd rather no pool or hot tub but clean and well maintained any day. Thank you Econo Lodge Defuniak Springs!

I had to call a cell phone when I got there because no one was working the desk to check in. Same thing when checking out. The room had no soap or shampoo and the microwave didn't work. House keeping knocked on our door at 9 am after we didn't get there until midnight waking everyone up. Awful experience.

This motel is the real deal with comfort, quality and upkeep. I've stayed at higher end motels that didn't look like this. The pictures are exactly what it show and concrete wood tiles are awesome. I just wanted to say it's quiet and awesome and just try it.

Very Nice. I paid the same price the night before for a clean yet antiquated room with no extras. This room is clean and modern. More than I expected for $65.00 per night.

Terrific stay! I am so pleasantly surprised at this Econolodge! This has to be the cleanest motel/hotel bathroom I've ever come across in all my years of travel! Due to an early morning appointment, we had to drive all through the night with no sleep and 2 children. They slept on the way but the adults couldn't, obviously. Normal check in is at 3 pm but after explaining our circumstances, the lady at the front desk had compassion and told me over the phone, "Come on over, we'll take care of you. " What a relief! Such a pleasant attitude at a time we most needed some compassion! She made sure our room was ready (they had been booked the night before) and the a/c was nice and cold, on a hot day, upon our entry to our room. And SUCH A COMFORTABLE BED! Better than the $135 Holiday Inn (a different city) we stayed in a few nights before even! I would compare the sleep with my sleep at Hampton Inn. I usually only stay at Hampton Inn but there wasn't one around and this facility had the best reviews. I see why! And, with military discount, HALF the price! There was no coffee maker, microwave or mini fridge in the room but they do have some rooms with them if you need them. We didn't, so that was okay. But, she asked if we needed one and explained not all rooms had them since this is economy lodging. Very well kept property! Very clean! Maintenance man stayed busy the entire time we were there doing preventative work. Great attitude! Fix it before it breaks. Love it!

What a great stay. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. For $75.00 I recieved a very clean room, large flat screen TV, microwave, fridge, iron, jump start coffee. Off the main road and far enough from the interstate made for a very quite rest. I highly recomend. 2-20-16.

Very nice, clean room and bathroom! Very good breakfast! Staff was friendly and attentive. Would definitely stay there again. Great value for the price!

The rooms were very nice with wood tile floors and granite bathroom counters. The rooms were clean and the gentlemen at the service desk was very friendly. Great price for the quality. Waffle House and Walmart are both very close by for those who are on the road.

The room was pleasant. Now for why I guve this place 1 star. They gouged us for price. They even told us they are normally only $79 but they are charging us 160 because they are the only place with vacancies. We have always stayed at econolodge because of their value and clean rooms. Not sure I can stay here again.
