Reviews of Fontainebleau Miami Beach 5*
Absolute perfection. Best hotel ever! The only downside is that there’s no 24hr room service but everything else is great. Rooms are very beautiful. Exquisite views. Pools/beach are phenomenal. Many nice restaurants and shops available. If I could live in this marvelous iconic hotel I would. Highly recommended! Worth a 10 star.
Amazing! Very friendly staff and beautiful beach.
Valley parking is ridiculously expensive and unorganized and not trained to take care of customers. Wait time too long to get your car. No manager on site.
I stayed at this hotel for business, and it was so clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice and helpful. I was given the Trésor Ocean View Junior Suite room and I loved it! I will definitely be booking another stay soon.
Rooms were filthy! we had a cockroach and then they moved us to a room with a BROKEN FLOODING toilet and were rude about offering compensations! disgusting service.
Gorgeous hotel, excellent food and service. 100% recommended.
Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff are poorly trained and the managers and incompetent at best. It’s a nightmare to try and get around the place. You have to show your room key just to get into the pool and then every time you want to use the restroom, which there isn’t one within the pool grounds. The prices should be considered price gouging. I had a screwdriver drink…. $21…. Then they automatically tip on every transaction. I had a small steak, asparagus and my screwdriver drink and my bill was over $150. I don’t mind paying up for quality, but this is just plain stupid. The steak was good, but my asparagus was horrible. My “oceanfront” suite wasn’t oceanfront nor was it a suite. It had no amenities at all. No microwave, no fridge, no coffee maker…. Nothing. This place is full of false advertisements. I had a bag of popcorn I wanted to pop and relax and enjoy what little time I had to salvage a good evening. The front desk said that they had NO microwaves to pop my popcorn and if I wanted one in my room, they were going to charge me. What a crock! I will NEVER come back to this nightmare. This place ruined my stay, 100%. My suggestion is to choose a different place to stay if you are coming to Miami.
Outstanding service, extremely knowledgeable and went over and above in service. Can't say enough nice things about Mrs. Florence Boeli and her platform! Florence has an amazing reputation in her field because of her no nonsense attitude, her work ethic and core values. We recently worked with her on helping us invest in her platform. Although Mrs. Florence Boeli is known for good recommendation, she took our investment higher under her wing and found her the perfect place that was in her good range. It was a very good investment the platform was very helpful and every day profits to look at. They made our investment feel very comfortable and wonderful every way. From the start to finish the process went smoothly and effortlessly. Perfect work she did I really enjoyed the process because of the hard work of the team. Highly recommend Mrs. Florence Boeli and her platform for job well done. Don't be too busy to read my success story and pick the challenge by starting your own investment today. Do NOT stay at this hotel. Worst customer service, worst location, the hotel is super run down. HORRIBLE experience for the price we paid. Never again!
DO NOT STAY HERE Absolutely the worse hotel experience I have ever had. My mom checked in Thursday evening, they gave her an occupied room and corrected it immediately. Then the AC in the new room did not work, they fixed it in a timely manner but it didn’t work normal the remainder of the weekend. I arrive Friday with 6 of my friends — there 11 of us to celebrate my bachelorette trip — I go to the desk and ask for my wristbands. They let me know their systems are down and they’re unable to look up anyones rooms and tell me to come back at check in time, 4:30. I come back at 4:30, wait an hour in line for them to tell me the systems are still down and they will call and let me know when my two rooms are ready, I never got a call. I go back at 8:30, same thing. We never received a call telling us our rooms were ready so 7 of us had to sleep on the floor of my moms room that is already occupied with 4 people. They had to bring in police officers because there were SO many (rightfully) angry guests. We’re all miserable, then go to the lobby bar and it’s only cash. At this point there so many people without rooms including families with young children who had to resort to sleeping on the couches in the lobbies and the couches in the bar area. Saturday morning I go down to the desk to try once again to get my two rooms (that I booked and paid for in May) and they give me two room keys.
Worst customer experience ever. Computer systems crash. Ppl were checking in and getting room keys 8-10 hours later. Offered zero comps. Really bad management unwilling to use lost business insurance or whatever else they could’ve done to make up the hole. Joke of a hotel. Stay at 1hotel or Nobu.
I love the place is very nice the service excelente.
Centrally located… great atmosphere and nice staff.
Nice hotel, great atmosphere for the whole family!
Crazy disorganized, Rude staff, Ridiculous fees and costs for the quality — I hope I never have to come back. The only positive was the beach was pretty.
Always love this hotel the staff is number 1 in service and respectful! relaxing pool area 😎
Disgusting and dirty rooms with pee on the carpet (see pic)! Spent the whole day trying to deal with management and they won’t make it right. Really bummed dad this was a special weekend for our bride and this is so disappointing.
Horrible hotel and service, two reservations not booked, we had to sit at bar for our 1 year anniversary…. Then house keeping stole a bag of shoes and shirts from our room then Matt the head of security lied to us said no one was in our room while one hotel managers called us and said that’s wrong they cleaned your room two days…. So day later they investigate and Matt says we talked to ladies they don’t remember the. He lied about cameras, management should be fired and so should Director security be careful this hotel is to big and they can’t manage there own staff… Management had the liar call us back as she lied and promised she would! Stay away from they will not contact you and the concierge will again let you down!
Highly over rated. Their pool management approach shows no respect for their guests by removing chairs and closing entire sections in an effort to upsell their cabanas. $12 bottles of water and 18% tip on all food including take out is simply gouging. 👎
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and helpful service.
The pool side service was very slow. Rarely saw a waitress; had to walk to bar; beach was packed. Prefer the Loews.
Everything is beautiful🤩
Hotel well located and very spacious with the possibility of doing a lot of things all in a very fine luxury.
Room was dirty with cobwebs on the base of the bed and not enough sitting by the pool. Good customer service overall.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Lively atmosphere.
Room was clean, staff was friendly. However, staff will not answer the phone for any reason, can’t get concierge, can’t get front desk, they will not bring you an extra blanket… Be aware, I will never be back!
This place is absolutely awful. It used to be incredible. It’s fallen into disrepair, it’s disgustingly dirty, absurdly understaffed — I feel awful for the friendly staff working in subpar conditions. The opulence and elegance is gone. Miami Beach has lost a historic icon. It’s quite tragic, actually. Don’t stay here. I’ll never come back.
Was very busy and were some things we didn’t like, but as a whole, they did a very nice job! Book ur restaurants ahead and stay ahead of the crowd! Fun time. Beautiful resort! Staff very nice and kind! Worked very hard to keep masks on the guests!
I’m having a great time here. The hotel is very beautiful and chic and modern. The staff are accommodating.
Worst experience! We paid over 500.00 per night and the room was nasty! Old rusted kitchen area, AC didn’t work, nasty carpets, bathroom wasn’t clean used toilet paper rolls and dirty toilet upon check in, room service had a 2 hour wait everyday. Restaurants weren’t taking reservations on Valentines Day! We paid for a Ocean view room and had a partial view. When we complained to management he was VERY RUDE! Told us we could stay somewhere else after we traveled all the way from Seattle Wa! I then requested to speak with a different manager because of how he was speaking to me and no one ever called. We couldn’t get any seats at the pool / beach or service! Couples were fighting in the lobbies… we witnessed a lady have her luggage thrown over the balcony by a guy. Hot ghetto mess for what is supposed to be an upscale hotel …
We love this place. The staff the food and all the history here is amazing.
An expired peanut mix from the mini bar inside my room that caused my wife to get sick. It ruined our whole vacation. All of the items in the mini bar were expired. This is unacceptable.
The Fountainebleau hotel has something to offer for everyone. From solo traveler, businessman to families. Great location, great pools, nice beach property, amazing rooms, good food for all ages. But most importantly what makes this hotel apart from the others is their staff. They are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I would like to mention Maryivette from Front Desk. She helped me with my check in process and I got an amazing room with an awesome view. Thank you Maryivette for your assistance and prompt professional service.
The pool attendents picked up my $75 drink pitcher while I was swimming because they had to pickup. Mind you it was 6pm. Custer service has gone down. I had my belongings on my pool chairs while in the in the pool, when I returned there was a family sitting on top of my stuff and a
sat right next to us as if they were with us. The pool attendant did not tell them to move. How could you see me alone all day with my fiance and all of a sudden allow a group of 4 to join in my space?! Not even 6' it was 1" away from me yes 1"! I picked up and left the hotel, I waited over an hour to get my car from valet for $50 per night. Not happy at all with all the money I spent there, I left truly unhappy. I don't think I will return.
Best hotel and amenities great food and entertainment.
This place it's breathtaking! Very romantic, perfect for a long weekend away or for some much needed quiet time with the woman that makes your life complete! Highly recommended!
WONDERFUL WONDERFUL PLACE! Great Stores, wonderful Dinning, and The Guest Service is Outstanding. I miss You So Much.
Gorgeous place with crazy good ambiance and atmosphere. Great food, drinks and pools. Fun time — can’t wait to bring our kids back during our staycation over Spring Break.
Amazing property excellent staff, cant wait to come back, highly recommended.
I love this place. Great customer service. Great Restaurants.
Definitely overrated for the price you pay. Cupboard are too small if you stay for longer than a couple of days, cleaning not that great, valet parking very poor. We left the car the first evening and the day after it was full of white marks inside the car which is unacceptable! We asked for explanation and after 3 days they still did not get back to us!
This is really an amazing resort hotel. It’s very aesthetically pleasing and spacious grounds. I definitely want to come back again. The only downside is the cost. The hotel itself is expensive at $325 or so per night, $10 water bottles st restaurants, and $25 mixed drinks. Everything is amazing, but you do need to prepare financially.
Excellent service, delicious food, beautiful pool area and great beach!
Loved the pools. So many reviews about great service around the pool, but we were apparently in the “pay me no mind” corner. We were put in the oldest building, the furthest away, which was fine but the balcony was dirty and lots of pigeon poop also the chairs on balcony were very dirty, bathroom super small, probably the smallest bathroom in any hotel/resort I have ever stayed. Drinks were very expensive and weak. Loved Scarpetta and ate there twice. It’s a great place to people watch, oh and the signs by the hot tub say may cause drowiness instead of drowsiness, which my husband and I both got a good laugh from.
The best. Great bar, people athmosphere.
Beautiful location, excellent service. Samara at guest registration is incredible! Very helpful and friendly. Wasn’t a guest at the hotel, but attended a conference there and was impressed by the restaurants, the amenities, and the look and feel of the hotel. Would certainly visit again.
Awesome location. Service is quick and Friendly. Hotel is nothing but Luxurious! Love the warm welcome! Atmosphere! Something to do all day! Vacation is great!
The availability of almost every thing needed during a vacation under such a magnificent designed location makes it an ideal place to come to. Great ambiance ❤️
Rude arrogant staff. Overpriced food even for a five star!
No tea or coffee facilities in the room and the security deposit of $150 per night in case we damage their property!
I have stayed in many lovely 5 star hotels where customer service has been amazing.
The Fontainebleau is a beautiful hotel but sadly unless you are a celebrity you get treated like scum!
Definitely wouldn’t stay here again.
Great family place. Food was awesome. The only thing tht I was really disappointed with was rooms need to be updated. No usb outlets no Bluetooth and no refrigerators. Unless u have a suite. So I kind of felt unless u were spending $$$$ thts the only way u get those amenities. I’ve paid a lot less in regular hotels n gotten a lot more in my room. — с Nikki Ham.
Awesome hotel with great food, staff, rooms and a amazing pool area. Having a fab time staying here.
Really enjoyed the experience. We celebrated my niece’s 5th birthday! A very family friendly hotel with great customer service and fun for the kids and adults! Would love to come back!
Lovely people. Wonderful atmosphere. Great choice of food. Just love this place!
One of the most beautiful hotels in Miami. We had a wonderful stay. Room was gorgeous, hospitality was exceptional, the staff was just wonderful, food and atmosphere was superb!
Great resort for special occasions. Spent a very fun girls weekend here and we had a blast. Pool cabanas were awesome with great service! Luxury all the way and a fun atmosphere for those looking to dance, party and people watch.
Your the worst hotel ever Took my 86yr old disabled parents on their dream trip. Left them waiting 7hrs for a room. Lost their luggage for 4hrs. They are not kind to disabled elderly people. They do not care. Complained. But did not want to know. Shame on you.
Coming here should be a yearly event… you are worth it! The most accommodating resort I have ever been to. The best massages and facilities in the world! This place can’t be beat! I.
This is one kick-ass Hotel one of the best hotels I have ever seen and stayed! All the amenities are top of the line! Plenty of things to do and experience! Gym was great! LIV the Club makes this hotel top notch! Will surely come back!
My first stay at Fontainebleau was pretty pleasant, as it was a solo spa kind of stay a while ago. This one was with 2 of my 3 children (thank God I did not bring my oldest son to this trip or it could be triple worse! )
Staff is rude and make you beg for everything; I felt like I was always ignored or treated like they are making me a favor. And not even one single time in 3 days I felt I was in a iconic luxury hotel! After a long list of dealing with the worse and I personal hospitality service EVER, I had an awful night followed by a ridiculous situation at the beach (no toys and zero set up for the kids at 10am?!? Really?!? Oh, we are understaffed he told me … and told me : feel free to get a toy if you want …
No one says good morning or is polite. Without exceptions, everyone is cold, unfriendly or rude or all the above.
My night was a nightmare: loud music from next door room and drunk people trying to get in my room.
Worst experience ever. I will never come back and never recommend to a friend, unless they want to get drunk, party all night and don’t mind accepting lots of high charges pretty much for every single basic.
I left the room and I am afraid of checking my hotel expenses and find out they charged me for my late checkout or who knows what else.
What a disastrous experience. Can’t even remember the history behind this hotel, due to the poor customer service it is offering.
I had a great time with my friends this weekend, love the pool and the beach cabana. The only thing that I didn’t like, they should upgrade their room speaker with USB outlet and they should have Bluetooth system in the rooms for music. They still have the old school system… all the new phone doesn’t work. I also think at the pool area and the pool bars should have stander outlet to charge our phone. They provide the portable outlet but u need to leave your id and room key with them which I thought it was ridiculous since I needed my id to drink and my room key because it was four of us, but other then that it was great experience.
We love the Fontainebleau. It is located in a calmer and more exclusive part of the beach, which we love. There are many new and trendy hotels in Miami, but we still love the Fontainebleau for our staycation. The staff is so well trained and attentive. We also love the beach! It is big, so if you are looking for something very intimate, it may not be your thing.
Amazing overall experience tarnished only by room service. To be fair however, the quality of food in the entire area was well below the standard in my area of Texas. That said, you can't serve raw meatballs to children in a kids meal, especially when you pay over 100 dollars for 2 spaghettis and meatballs and two sandwiches with drinks. The others we traveled with had better experiences in the available sit down restaurants. The hotel is truly beautiful and really feels friendly. The room we had over in the new tower was spectacular and one of the best views I've ever experienced anywhere. Entire family really enjoyed the three days we spent here. There are a lot of fun things to do nearby and the city as a whole was really beautiful. It was a bit unseasonably chilly the time in January that we arrived but it was still a great stay and a great time.
This is arguably one of the best hotels in the world without doubt in my mind the best hotel in Miami. It has been restored from its former glory with no expense spared and it is breathtaking. If you are going to Miami Beach and you are a high roller this is definitely the place to go. The entire experience from check-in two the rooms themselves gets 10 out of 10. The outside pool area is luxury in the extreme the cabana are fantastic. The whole property backs onto the Miami Beach boardwalk which is very convenient and of course the beach.
This was our first time there and we absolutely loved it! Everyone very friendly and helpful when needed. The room was the nicest hotel room we’ve ever seen! And the view from the balcony… WOW! I felt like a movie star! We would highly recommend staying here! Thanks Fontainebleau!
Iconic hotel and beautiful location. Our room, a corner balcony facing the Atlantic, was beautiful. Unfortunately, with everything that this hotel has going for it, the service was disgraceful. Shame on management for degrading this spectacular venue. In-room service got our order wrong, even after verifying the order. Rooms don't have coffee makers, or fridges and getting a coffee maker delivered to the room was an exercise in complete frustration. And our room was not attended to for linens, towels, TP and bed making. You literally have to beg for everything and the first answer is "no". Shame on the management of the beautiful Fontainebleau.
We visited for our wedding anniversary. We are fairly young and it offered something for all ages. Our suite was gorgeous and quite. There are eleven pools to choose from. We ate at Vida for breakfast. It's a restaurant inside the hotel. It was amazing. We hung out at the main pool, but then ventured over to the adult only pool for a day party. There we enjoyed a great DJ and met some awesome new friends. The only thing we did not like was each time we exited the pool area either to visit the restroom or grab food the security guards ask to see your room key. Obviously we were hotel guests, so we showed our keys. But we did suggest to the staff/security to offer wristbands to future patrons. For lunch we ate at another hotel restaurant called Pizza and Burger. The pizza was big enough for two people to share and tasted delicious. We look forward to staying here in the future and bringing our family. Overall we would recommend the Fontainbleau hotel to other patrons. It's a wonderful establishment.
I was invited to a 30th birthday and had a blast. Everyone there was friendly and well mannered. Great pool area, beach, and bars. I ended up losing my phone and driving home, luckily someone turned it in and the hotel notified me. So thankful for the person who turned it in and staff making sure it got back to me. Can't wait to visit again awesome place.
Rude staff pretty much 8 out of 10 times except for concierge.
Room with nice atmosphere, different between Saturday night and Sunday evening. Nn do the maximum why the bartender at the request for a vodka lemon gave me a glass of ice with smooth vodka and two slices of lemon… I think it's pretty serious… In general both the Mojito and the Daiquiri nn were at the height of the location.
One of the best choices we have made! I went to this hotel for my anniversary and the whole experience went perfect. Our stay lasted 2 nights. The staff made us feel very special and would ALWAYS go above and beyond to help us. They even surprised us with some champagne to celebrate! We chose the pool/ocean view room of course and we are not really morning people but the sights made us want to go out, explore and do more! Most of our time was spent at the beach and pools. The pool had so many little nice spots and excellent tasting drinks! I went shopping down the streets in the day and at night, we found a club nearby with amazing Djs and chic crowds. We danced the night away! :D.
5 Star resort with 2 Star service. After multiple issues (the door to our room being left open on 2 different occasions by their staff, just to name a few) we talked with Bruno, the Hotel Manager. He was very courteous and seemed willing to help. He told my wife that he would not require us to pay for our room upgrade. However, when we checked out of the hotel the following day the charge was still there. We knew he wasn't there yet as we checked out at 6am so we assumed he would take care of it when he returned. I sent Bruno an email the following week thanking him for talking with us and detailing our experience. He said he wanted to build a relationship and invited us to contact him personally for a future stay. It has been close to 6 weeks since our stay and we still have not been reimbursed for the room upgrade. I have also emailed Bruno 3 times asking for information on a future stay as my wife and I are planning our summer travel plans. No response yet. We had high hopes that the negative aspects of our stay would be acknowledged and management would do what they told us they would do. I'm not sure why they are not honoring their commitments or returning emails. I was willing to give them a second chance and build, as Bruno suggested, a relationship.
I would say this is one of the best hotel on Miami Beach. The facilities are top class, beautiful building, great pools, direct access to the beach with amenities, very helping staff and great ambiance. Food & drink is expensive though, they will charge you $6 for a bottle of water. But overall excellent experience.
I have not stayed here recently because I decided to try something new. I stayed at the Grand Beach Hotel close by and it was a HUGE mistake. I left several messages for the manager at the Grand Beach Hotel and he will not call me back. The reason I am writing this review here is because I have stayed at the Fontainebleau several times and it was always outstanding customer service, outstanding food and just overall a pleasurable experience. If you are trying to make a decision on where to stay, do yourself a favor and do not stay at the Grand Beach Hotel. Fontainebleau is far more superior.
Great view of basically everything you want to see. Alert and prompt valet. Kind front desk employees. Magnificent rooms especially top floor ocean view. Relaxing environment and down right a very enjoyable place. Great pools. Close to everything.
The Fontainebleau Miami was awesome, we were greeted nice and got an ocean front room with 2 bed at the Chateau. The smell of the place as you walked in the lobby was very good the atmosphere was very nice elegant. The elevators are fantastic the hallway leading to our room was very nice, smelled nice and very clean. The room was super awesome. The only about it is that the snacks, water, wine in the room have s charge of you pick it up after 20 sec which I believed should been explained during check in. In addition there was an added charge for others things which I believed should have been explained and disclose during check-in. So no surprise bill/charge during check out. Other than that the place is awesome, they have 11 swimming pools (I only experienced 5 if them). The parking was expensive overnight at 48, but that is I guess expected at this place. There is a public parking next door which only flat 20 for a day. Also, service charge of 18% is automatic on every charge around the place such as restaurant, spa, drinks by the pool and etc Overall, it is a very good experience even for an overnight stay.
Hotel and staff were outstanding! Beautiful ocean view room. The only negative was the shower. No latch to keep it closed. Should be an easy fix for them though.
Nice Old Town clean Dear.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. A historic place. Just cool.
Nice hotel with large facilities, pools and disco included the only thing that does not have a large place to have breakfast with the amount of guests in high season that hosts so if you want to stay here, I advise low season for prices and use of the facilities In its entirety.
If you are looking to stay in one of the apartments, there are definitely better options in Miami. You are obliged to use the valet parking when you park. There is nothing very close to walk.
No slippers. The bathroom does not even have accessories from the series: comb, toothbrush, etc. Only shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.
Shower cabin with built-in wall shower, you want to wash partially, it will not work. The bathroom was very…
Lack of smart button. You have to run around the room and turn off the devices.
Voss Water, I haven't drank much worse. The minibar is expensive.
Sunbeds on the beach for free, and umbrella $25.
At arrival I even was not removed. The dust on the wine-tree is weekly. The lamp was not included since the bulb had been burned for a long time.
Creepy Wi-Fi which is always tight and slow.
In the lobby club, in the evening go to the hotel as a disco. A huge number of ladies of light behavior.
Check in went fast with very friendly service. Our room had an amazing view of the beach, and pool area. It was breathtaking! I only gave 4 stars because when I went to use the bathroom (right after checking in), there were pee stains on the toilet. I would never expect that from any hotel upon checking in, never mind a 5-star hotel! I called the front desk and they promptly had someone at our door to come in and clean up the bathroom. Later on, we had called the valet from our room to have our car brought up. The valet told me the car would be there in 15 minutes and we ended up waiting 25 minutes. The pool area and beach are beautiful and had a great atmosphere.
Don’t let any of those bad reviews fool you. This is by far the best hotel ever! Me and my wife had the time of our life! We don’t want to leave! Very impressed with the restaurants, beach service, bar accommodations. Just an all around perfect time.
Very nice hotel, however the parking is paying!
Recommended Nice place. But no beach view. Not recommended for lunch. If to stay and take a few drinks.
I give 5 stars because this IS A 5 STAR HOTEL…RESORT? Even with a black light search, room was very clean. Staff is friendly and courteous. Totally recommended!
Excellent Hotel, the Liv with a crazy atmosphere…
Beautiful rooms great breakfast and fantastic already beach. The only thing that is a crap is the bowling alley that is inside we paid to be in hallways because everything was private. (LIV the name of bowling)
On February 14th I was a victim of discrimination in this hotel by some of the valet parking staff The fact occurred in this way: We were in the car line waiting for our turn when in a disrespectful and evasive manner, one of the employees of the Valet parking catered to the people who were behind us first because they had a sports cart, not just to tell us to move our car.
It's a lack of respect and abuse towards customers is discrimination because they don't have a fancy car. The manager in charge of the area was made a complaint we do not know if he made the call of attention to the employee.
The most pertinent was that the employee would be called to make us apologize to us as customers.
We went to admire the pool and architecture. It's maraviollosa.
It's a great place! I'll definitely be back here!
Great cocktails! Clean pools staff helpful and friendly.
I am so glad I didn't listen to any of the negative reviews. I went with my friend who I had not seen in months and we had the best time. We arrived hours before check-in time for our room and not only did the person doing our check-in help us with any questions we had, he also told us everything we needed to know and even upgraded our room for free. Our room was available early and we were allowed to immediately go to it. We had no issues with the room and it was very clean. Half an hour after getting to our room some waiters brought us a bottle of wine and some chocolate covered strawberries. Our room didn't come with the computer, but we didn't mind as we had our phones and the desk ended up covered by all of our stuff anyway. The restaurants and spa were amazing. The spa was very professional even though my card kept declining at check-in due to my bank wanting to make sure it was me authorizing the purchase and not fraud. Even though we have not paid yet they still allowed us to go enjoy our service on time and all the amenities and was told we could figure it out later. Everything ended up fine and we had a great time. We will be back next summer with more friends!
It collapses the entrance by the valet parking.
Beautiful Hotel. Excellent service. One of the best beaches in Miami.
Best Hotel in Miami without a doubt! I have never Been treated so well by staff in my life! all the employee's I had contact with deserve a award! And the views are out of this world! Also if you go during the week of art Basel you will see better art here than anywhere else! So many awesome pics of the hotel and art I couldn't even post them all!
Expensive, noisy and big. At the Hotel club Justin Beaver and similar come up, of course at exorbitant admission prices. No place to spend the holidays, but the biggest boost of stars and starlets and all those who stay in Miami. The show by the pool is worth seeing…
The overall look of the hotel is beautiful. The staff is friendly and the pool is just perfect. If you like beach activities, this is the place to be as they own part of the beach. The staff is really nice considering that they upgraded my room as the bed was dirty. If you are in Miami with a decently large budget, this is definitely the place to stay.
Fun place with lots of amenities, but they nickel and dime you for everything. An umbrella on the beach is $25, an iced coffee is $7.50, and a strawberry daiquiri is $23! Housekeeping also left a lot to be desired. There was literally the previous guest's toenails all over our floor when we checked in. We called housekeeping and they sent someone to vacuum but we found more toenails the next day! Ughhhh. The front desk compensated us by removing our room fees, but still — for a 5-star hotel no one should have to deal with that. Disgusting! Last thing — there were lots of smokers at the hotel, including people who smoked at the kiddie pool! Pretty gross and the hotel staff didn't say anything to them. Overall though, it's a very kid-friendly hotel and they provide a baby bathtub and shampoo for your little one (in addition to a crib), which is very nice. The hotel is in a great location, and despite the smoking, poor housekeeping, and overpriced ridiculousness it's still worth checking out.
Paid a fortune this holiday season for a stay at the hotel. Can't even get a seat at the pool starting at 8 am, beach is the same issue. Don't bother coming here. Overpriced and service is disappointing. Waste of money. Just spoke with the manager. He suggested that I split my kids up and go to different pools because the kids pool has a lifeguard. What a great recommendation. Avoid this hotel.
To make a long story short we decided to take a road trip for Thanksgiving this year and ended up making a reservation for a few days at the resort. This was after my wife spoke to a staff member who assured her it was a very family friendly hotel and there were a handful of amenities that would cater to children. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised by the courteous valet and bellhop. The hotel was beautiful and we were very excited. We had been traveling all day so we went to grab a bite to eat, apparently our travel clothes weren't posh enough and earned us less than stellar service, the pizza was very good though. Next we attempted to take our son swimming only to find out that the pools closed at dusk, it was about 7 pm at the time I believe. Upon inquiring as to why, the lady told us, it's so drunk people don't jump in the pool, among some other reasons. This was very upsetting but we were going to try and make it work anyway. So we stopped by the concierge to see what we could get into, since the pools were closed, remember the lady on the phone assured us this was a family friendly resort. He politely says, with a two year old, nothing. That was his answer, NOTHING. I went back to the front desk and politely asked to just check out as this is clearly not a place for a family, mind you this all took place in about two hours time. We were not trying to get over on the hotel, or make some fuss about the price.
This Líndo and excellent Hotel. I have No words to describe it, with incredible beauty, and tremendous cleanliness. It's expensive, but the good thing costs. I recommend it.
Very good night atmosphere. Excellent treatment of the bartender Cristian.
Very impressive. I really like the pool with sea view.
Prices of course bite, but the most offensive thing is that rooms without a balcony and windows do not open:
We got a free upgrade to the suite, this was not the newest however very spacious and maintained despite the age. The outdoor area was in top condition, unfortunately the Liv was closed due to conversions but that was not influenceable. It's not exactly in the center but in 5 min ca. You're already in the center.
Me and my girlfriends had the best spa day here! The staff was so friendly, they were always there to help with any needs and provide us with reminders on when our next treatment was starting! The pool and lounge area were well maintained and the snack room was perfect. We were able to go to the hotel pool and bar as well to kill some time. Overall great experience!
Great place very relax and quiet but also very entertaining.
Great spacious grounds. Very well maintained beautiful pool area and right on the dream beach.
Very cool facility with huge pool area where also a scene of Scarface was shot.
A hotel world. Millions of options and pools. Super comfortable room. The bad the AA in the room.
A lot of fame. Very big. But the old and worn rooms. It's No big deal.
I wish I could rate this place 0 stars. Sure, the rooms and restaurants are nice, but you can't sneeze in this place without being charged for it. They have weighted refrigerators so if you touch something for more than 10 seconds, you're charged — which leaves you stuck with the option of filling your sink with ice to keep anything cold. Because that's what you want to do when you pay $2K for a week's vacation is slum it like you're on a senior trip. Then there's the ambiguous rental policies on basically anything outside but some chairs (I said some. That's right, not all chairs are complimentary). No worries, folks, you can rent a shaded cabana for only a small fee of $500 a day. No signs telling you that they need reserved, first you sit down in them and get kicked out. It's part of the fun and the excitement that Fontainebleau provides. Overall, if you have so much money that you could literally burn it and not miss it, this place is for you!
Went on a girls weekend here and loved this hotel. It was clean, all of the staff we professional, friendly and helpful, and the spa was fantastic. A huge hotel but with many amenities. I wish the pool side beverages and water bottles were a little less expensive. Also had a fantastic meal at Hakkasan.
Deplorable reception
The only thing it spineless C of the tip and if c not enough they see throws it to the head
Nice pool nothing to say.
The staff is terrible!
Hotel Super Expensive We have them a surprise when we arrived paid the car parks every day has 47 dollars we paid the room cash with a deposit of 1500 euros cash it my not made despite I tried to make them understand that I had paid. All its to tell you that it is big thieves it even called the police!
Miami Beach : classe et service.
My husband and I have stayed in many hotels and resorts in major cities and by far we loved this resort the most and look forward in returning soon! The architecture is amazing as it feels timeless and rich in its history it holds. The night life is superb and so are the restaurants and bars! Being that this is a 5 star luxury hotel, you get what you pay for. Thanks.
Amazing pool and spa experience. This place is gorgeous. The pool is huge, they offer drinks and food, and the do creates a fun party atmosphere. Lapis spa is beautiful. Top notch service and options. I did a relaxation day and a hot stone massage, it was worth every penny.
Huge hotel, with several towers, a lot of choice of rooms, lots of pools, staff ready to look after you and help you, very nice beds to sleep and an amazing view of the ocean and the City of Miami Beach!
Super Location and very in. We were in one of the restaurants, Hakkasan, Michelin star Cantonese cuisine. We were driven by the staff. Excellent cuisine and fabulous restaurant ambience. Experience to do.
The lobby was beautiful and jaw dropping. With several interesting and lucrative stores to check out it's easy to see why the hotel is so highly rated. The service was quick and efficient. Our room was very nice although on the small side for a two bedroom. It was not very sound proof and I often heard people talking in the walkways outside of our room and it made me a bit uncomfortable. The experience was all around amazing.
Very good hotel for young people who like to party or who would like to experience the nightlife of Miami. The restaurants are excellent, the reception very nice, the pools and the beach are tops and the rooms very beautiful.
Only snag, the insulation is not always at the rendezvous in the rooms and we waited very long for the check-in (3 hours)!
But I would definitely go back.
Iconic South Beach landmark from the architecture to the food. Their attention to detail and handcrafted excellence makes this a must stop vintage Miami Beach destination. From the 20's to the 2000's, Fontainebleau is still king hosting the best clubs and notable restaurants in town.
Beautiful atmosphere. We enjoyed lounging by the pool and taking a dip when it got really hot. Noisy neighbors and thin walls. Celebrated my 9th wedding anniversary with my husband. Expensive food and drinks but they were delicious.
Stayed in The Tresor Suites. Room had a fantastic View and was super clean. Also had the privilege of meeting a gentleman named Casey Cauliflower who handles the VIP experience. Saying he was extremely professional and accommodating would be an understatement. He even sent a handwritten letter up to our room. This stay would have been fantastic by itself but he made it truly a five-star experience. Can't wait to go back. Never staying at the W again.
The best d the best ummmmm maximum.
Ideal services but you should assume that it is costly and far away to go to the shopping area of south Beach between 5-14 th avenue. Swimming pools and access to beach optimum.
Although it has a convenience and unquestionable quality in the services they offer, generated a lot of discomfort the fact that, in a place where they have high prices initially, followed sacandote money on things as basic as parking, internet, etc.
Great place for food, swimming, beach and night life. Wished room cleaning service was better for my stay. My room had a slow shower drain that would over into bathroom. Which was never fixed by staff when I brought back it to their attention at the start of my stay.
Excellent hotel. It has it all. You open from 10. Solve you any problem very fast. You have receipt of packages that lead you to your room. Bowling is awesome. Always a star. I was Calvin Harrisnen beside the pool. The only drawback is the prices. They are extremely high. It is not for the middle class. It is for super high class. (Not be q to me here)
Very good, but actually it is a little expensive but it is worth.
The best hotel that I was in my life. Quite good and not is very expensive :D.
Too big, loud and unorganized. But the drinks at the poolbar are good. Unfortanly there are no possibilitis to sit outside. At the poolbar as well. There are too much people at the pool. So its not the best place to calm down. But if you are in miami to make party: its the best hotel. But in this case of this huge hotel; only one bar is not enough. The food at the restaurants is very good. Also the rooms are realy nice and confortable.
Great reception nice room in Sorento tower. Food has been outstanding. Coffee shop service was spotty. 8.00 mocha was sort thrown at you no whip cream. We I mentioned to cashier he immediately fixed the problem and presented a mocha with whip and chocolate sauce. What was up with the other server?
Still has the charm. The pool area is fun for a day party. Good thing is if you have kids they have a nice pool area for them as well, so it's all still family friendly. Beautiful and well appointed rooms.
One of the nicest hotels in Miami. Pool area is great. Restos are amazing, clubs are happening (liv). This is the place to be.
I went here with a few buddy's to check what all the buzz was about. Upon entering we were frisked by bouncers not once but twice. We were then taken down to the cashiers were we were told it would be $250 dollars to enter on a Tuesday. Needless to say we were all unhappy with the disappoint by the staff we decided to leave this disgrace of a property. I will never return again. Gross!
The worst hotel I have ever stayed in! If you have any class or care about value for money then stay away! When we arrived there were several bus boys chatting who didn't offer to take our bags, and even after we checked in clearly we did not qualify for a porter even though lots of other people had them. The restaurants and the lapis spa are all average but massively overpriced, except hakkasan which maintained the same high standard as all it's other branches. They really do the bare minimum at this place and charge you for anything extra. A disgusting way to do business.
The best hotel in which I have been and point. LIV and the pool party in to donate them the best ever…
I have been there for work twice and it is the classic example of American luxury. Immense structure in which one gets lost, all comforts, Mammoth Hall, vast outdoor space full of pools and places of refreshment and plenty of courtesy of the staff. All this of course at a price and also expensive. Also be careful to lift the appetizers above the minibar which after 20 seconds will bring them into account;)
It's a very nice hotel to stay. The rooms are big, clean and modern. The pools are amazing and the best is that you need only 1 minute to go on the beach. But book during the week, not at the weekends, because it gets really loud.
I am staying at the Fontainebleau hotel and it is very expensive. There is a club called Liv in the lobby. When I arrived apparently I was coming I through the wrong entrance, I asked well where do I go to get in the bouncer pointed at a wall and told me that way when I asked if he could be more specific he got defensive and started cursing at me. His supervisor came around and said what's going on I told him he guided me where to go to get in. When I walked around the security that was there told me they were closed. I said well why didn't the guy who told me to walk around tell me that and he had no answer. Then when I said well we pay good money to stay here, he said the club was not affiliated with the hotel and brushed me off. Personally if your going to claim you are not affiliated with the hotel and treat their guest like trash then you don't deserve to be doing business there in the first place. Why have your place of business somewhere but treat the people in that place like their trash and say your not affiliated with the place you do business. I make good income I was dressed nice and paying 300 a night to stay in the hotel why not at least treat me with common courtesy. Then when I am upset about it the security tells me to act professional. How do expect me to act professional but don't expect that from someone running a business out of your hotel. My company is paying for me to stay here but I rather pay to stay in a motel 6.
Really a scam, the hotel very nice and everything, but it is very expensive for what it is does not have very good service, and matters are worthy of defrauding us with the escrow that we never returned. The truth I liked the pool, the smell and everything, but not you can throw out of the pool at 6:00 pm when you say at reception that is open until 9:00 pm, the same is with the beach. No vuelvo mas.
Very nice hotel pleasant atmosphere. My complaint is the valet parking at $41 a night. Best thing to do is public parking 2 blocks north on Collins that charge $1 per hour from 8am to 6pm after that it's free during the week. On Friday and Saturday park before 9pm after that they charge a $20 flat rate for the club goers. And the $150 (Per Night) deposit for the room that they charge upon check in plus the $22 Hotel fee per night and resort fee of $26 per night. If you're on a tight budget these unexpected expenditures can ruin a vacation lol. Must say that the staff was very attentive to all my wants and needs. The beach is literally 20 yards from the pool area, amazing layout of the property. I'm definitely planning on coming back in the near future.
Fontaine bleu is a wonderful place to stay but the service is horrible absolutely horrible. My family and I went to the hotel to check in like At 12am and we we're rly tired. So they gave us a key to our room with no directions at all and our room was a penthouse. When we got they're people we're dancing and smoking in OUR room. So we went back. And we yelled at them saying it's 12am and we're freaking tired. So if I we're you don't go they're. It has bad service. And it's way too expensive for nothing.
This is not the hotel to stay at if you are trying to be frugal and save money. Be prepared to spend money if you really want to enjoy yourself. There's a reason this hotel comes up when you search LUXURY and not affordability. Best Hotel ever. Seriously. Pool is amazing. Bar (inside and pool side) are magnificent. Food is wonderful! (Try the French Toast). I love this hotel, I’ve only stayed at the Tressor and the Sorrento suites and they are worth it. (You will get access to the private pools). I suggest asking for a high floor room so that you can really enjoy the view. The views are breath taking. The staff is so attentive. I called at 6am because the aux on the radio wasn’t working and they came quickly with a whole new radio and some complementary Voss water. I love this hotel. If I could live here I would. There is not one single negative thing to say and I always find something to complain about. Always. But not with this hotel. It’s pure perfection. Like heaven on earth. *I don't recommend this hotel for a family vacation. I believe its more suitable for those interested in partying and having a great time in Miami. World renown Club LIV is in the lower level of the hotel. You will likely meet several celebrities. I've stayed here 3x and each time I've met celebs (plural) whether it be an actor, rapper or a professional athlete. Also, if you can't get a suite don't even bother staying here. There regular rooms are nothing extraordinary and def overpriced.
I don't no where to start but let's start here. My brother surprised me and my husband for hour anniversary to the fountain blue on miami beach and it was the worst experience ever. First off it was all paid for online… what a rip off. We get to the hotel Friday night and it took us about 40 minutes to check in cause this girl didn't no what she was doing and she's telling me it was computer problems when the girl next to me took about 6 people right away. Unreal the help there is awful! So we finally get in the room and it was suppose to a suite OCEAN FRONT ROOM : (lmfaoooo it was the ugliest room and it was looking at buildings lol so I call down stairs n I had to hold for about 10 minutes till someone picked up the phone lol so I got a manager if u call it a manager… and I told him that my brother paid $1, 400 for to days and we were suppose have a JR suite so he's like we can move you so they move is to a pool front and side ocean and the A/C doesn't work lol so this is 3 times moving Omgggggg so I call and tell him we are checking out of this dump hotel and he's like we can move you tomorrow to a ocean front room. It was saturday and no one called us so we checked out of this rip off place and the food was a rip off as well… we order room service and 2 hamburgers n appertiser and a Pepsi that was so small n they Charged me $86.00 dollars lmao rip off n we go down to breakfast buffet for 2 people it's $78.00 unreal… and also valet parking per night is $42.
The Hotel was lovely, most the staff was pretty rude except my bartender Jodi. She was amazing. She made the stay so much better. Positive attitude and happy and funny person. Best bar tender ever. I reccommend everyone go to the the Fontainebleau bar and ask for Jodi.
Let me start by saying I'm not some retired lady accidentally misplaced in a "party" hotel. I'm a 22 year old female looking to have a wonderful time at Miami beach. Simply put I will NEVER return to this hotel again! Period! The success of this hotel I'm sure was based on customer service and treating people the right way. Unfortunately the success of the hotel has seemed to lead to many of its employees having the absolute most arrogant and dismissive attitude towards its guests. And while no doubt many important people including celebrities visit this hotel it's the everyday people that built and sustain this place, and I absolutely don't accept it and neither should you. Loud I mean Loud music you can hear from the 12th floor until 5AM EVERY night. But I guess that's okay when you make an estimated 45 million from your club. Forget about the rest of your guests. Want a drink by the beach wait almost an hour between drinks and be completely disrespected while you pay 14 plus service charge for a drink and wait and be deliberately ignored by the arrogant wait staff that believes the effort of the people who worked hard to build this hotel somehow reflects on them. The rooms are modest for the money at absolute best AND hope you like SECURITY because be prepared to show your room key and PHOTO ID multiple times with no "thank you" just to get to the pool!
Un loc deosebit. Super frumos.
My girlfriend and I spent Memorial Day Weekend at the hotel and Miami beach We had an incredible time! The beach, the spa, food, bars, jetskeies, privacy. Everything on premises. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Hell Yes. Going back.
By far the best hotel we stayed in! We came with for a week, for a family wedding, and had the most memorable time in Miami Beach. All thanks to the awesome staff of the hotel. We will be back:).
An OK resort hotel. Some rooms very tired, we asked to move rooms as our first was pretty poor with rusty fittings in the bathroom and damaged furniture. Room service does not do a turn down service. Rooms are not well cleaned; bins left filled. Melted ice in ice buckets. Girls on the reception desk to Avida are not welcoming or very helpful. This hotel needs to send it's management team to Dubai to see how service really should be delivered. I'm seriously not impressed, not at this price anyway.
This hotel is exquisite. The service is impeccable, and they make you feel as if you are their only guest. The concierge desk is amazing! On a recent weekend, I accidentally left my daily contact lenses at home! The concierge, whose name I unfortunately did not get, directed me to a close optical place, where they were able to connect with my home optometrist, and supply me with lenses to hold me over! Ricardo, in the concierge desk, directed us to a great South Beach restaurant on a night when we weren't sure what we wanted to eat! The service at the pool and all the bars and restaurants is superb.
Amazing place to stay! Was upgraded to a full suite for no extra cost! The entertainment here is top notch and the rooms are beautiful! Everyone on staff was extremely helpful and friendly. If you are thinking about booking a room here DO IT NOW! You will not regret staying here.
Outstanding service and food was delicious. The beaches were wonderful there was no creeping going on because my girlfriend ikes to go topless and wear a thong so that all went well and uneventful We highly recommend it would come back again for sure.
The hotel is beautiful but the service is very poor. Be aware that there is an 18% service fee attached to every food and beverage item therefore the staff is very slow to give you service since they are not "earning" their tip. I've stayed at many luxury hotels and have always given 5 star ratings, but sadly I will not be recommending the Fountainbleau to any of my friends and family.
I never write negative reviews but this time I have too. This Hotel is a money trap, greedy and down right ridiculous! They take all the coffee makers and refrigerators our of even the suites! So you can't bring left overs back to the room, you can't go to the store, and you can't make coffee! You are forced to go down stairs and spend a FORTUNE on every little thing you buy! Then they have prices on the food menu that will make you have a heart attack when you get the bill! Everywhere on the resort! You are trapped! Then they put these big fancy beds all around the pools and if you want to lay on one its $350.00 to $800.00 per bed! What a joke! They don't even come with the fancy room. Actually you get NO PERKS by having a suite! They promised us one suite then gave us another once getting there. The worst thing to me is, this place was built by the history of the old movie stars hanging there and they erased the history of them and do not have one single hallway of fame to dedicate to them in memory. NOTHING! Its crawling with young half naked people and no one even knows who Dean Martin is or that he use to hang there. This place would have been nothing more than a fancy hotel without the people who were there in the past. They have nothing there to dedicate to them! They need a room of all the history of the people who made that place. So in my eyes the place is COLD. Money hungry. Cheap with the guest. But a fortune to eat and stay. Service was TERRIBLE!
Don't stay here. My husband and I stayed here in December, 2014 and had bad experiences from the start. First our reservation was lost, so we had to wait two hours until they found it. When we got to the room we found the sliding door to the bathroom was broke and the shower handle was loose and actually fell off and hit my foot, causing a deep bruise to the bone. We called the front desk and after repeated calls, maintenance finally showed up as we were checking out. My medical bills were $300 and the hotel would never call us back. You would think they would offer some type of credit or something in the way of correcting the situation, but they refused and on top of that, the front desk manager hung up on my husband. This place used to be great as we have stayed here before, but after this I would never return.
We've come each year for many years and we've stayed in the same 1 bedroom apartment, 3411. This year, it's been re-decorated and it's even nicer than the last time we were here. At the current price scale, this property wants to be taken seriously. Think Four Seasons, think Mandarin, think Ritz Carlton, think Setai. And the facilities are there. What isn't there yet is the attitude of the staff. There's a sense of "nickel and diming" that you can easily fix. Clearly, good as you are, you can be better.
This was not my favorite hotel experience. I treated my mom to a mother-daughter weekend getaway to the Fountainbleau and for the amount of money I paid, the service was very lackluster. We ordered room service and they forgot my soup spoon, I found a piece of unraveling string in my lunch, it was a miracle if we were greeted by our server within 30 minutes of sitting down and the room wasn't anything special (I upgraded to an ocean front view and our room ended up overlooking the roof with a glimpse of the ocean out of the corner of my eye). I will say the staff themselves were nice and friendly, but the actual service was some of the worst I've experienced.
This is a beautiful resort hotel! If you are looking for a place to truly relax and you want to be surrounded by beauty at every turn; look no more! The staff are professional and friendly, the food is wonderful, and the views are amazing! The prices for anything at this hotel are not for the faint at heart. Better brings your life's savings because you will need it. Average dinner for one person is roughly $80. If you go to the spa better bring at least $200 or more and the list goes on and on. If you are poor do not bother attempting to go there, you will only be able to afford to drink pool water and eat napkins. If you are middle class you better take at least $5000.00 with you if you truly want to enjoy yourself without having to worry too much about it. You do not have to leave the hotel for any reason, shopping, spa, dining, pools, beach, club, is all inside of the hotel. Yes it is worth the money. You definitely should go! For at least a week. Oh yeah, if you want better service, tip the people and they will help you more, if you aren't into that sort of thing then yeah you may find the people a tad unavailable. And do not remove anything from the candy bar in the room it has a sensor that will charge your credit card crazy prices for candy. Not good.
Excellent, I would like to work in such as.

-5 out of 5. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at! Currently trying to get in touch with the hotel but it’s impossible. They hang up on you or don’t answer. I was charged $55, $10, $9 for the room bar when I never used it. I picked up the bottle in the refrigerator and put them back and it automatically charged me I guess (still figuring it out if I ever talk to someone). We originally picked this hotel because the pool party but when we got to the pool all the pools were opened but the adult only pool. And we were told “they decided to close it because the weather”. Allllll the pool can deal with the few clouds that day but not this pool. We tried to leave to go somewhere else but they wouldn’t refund us due to this misinformation. Spent $300 at the steakhouse and it was so bad. Legit would never recommend this place to anyone. I’ll probably have to dispute the charges with my credit card. Communication with this place is nonexistent. Daysinn would have been better.
