For a Hampton, this was disappointing. The one good thing about this hotel was the staff we met, as they were really friendly and helpful. A few other things were also nice, such as the pool, the warm shower, breakfast and great location, but overall, I wouldn't return to this hotel again and had to cancel our second reservation. When we first got there, we found hair and red stains (looked like lipstick) on the bed, so we requested another room. The sheets in the second room looked cleaner so we decided to stay there, but the carpet could have used some deep cleaning. When we raised the temperature from 60F to 70F, the room got a strong muggy, wet carpet kind of smell. We had already moved to a new room once and didn't think it was going to get any better by moving again, so we stayed put, but we regretted it in the middle of the night when sleeping through it was painful. Maybe it's our fault for not requesting a third room, but we also don't think we should have had to switch rooms that many times.

Great location! Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Hotel was cozy, not very busy. Housekeeping did not clean our room one day, but we received bonus points for the error. Ashley, who was at the front desk for the majority of our stay, treated us like family! She had great insight into local eateries and points of interest. I've stayed at many hotels, and by far, Ashley was the friendliest front desk person I've ever seen! Would recommend staying here! 4.5/5

Immaculate rooms. Real granite in the bathrooms. Extremely polite staff. Stayed there two days during hurricane matthew. Me and my son really enjoyed our stay. Prices were even reasonable. Check out the room that we stayed in. Our room had a view of the pool.

Shortly after check-in, housekeeping knocked on my door and an employees said she thought she left her phone in the room. She looked and didn't find it. 20 minutes later my phone rang (when I picked up, nobody was there). Moments after, there was a loud pounding on my door, like it was the cops or something. I opened it to find 4-5 employees at my door, to which I asked "what is wrong with you guys? ", to which a male employee replied "we are tracking the phone to this room", which is complete bullspit (how does the tracker give you the floor location? ) I let them in… again… no phone was found. They seemed completely unfazed by how annoying this was to me. I will share this review on other online platforms. Totally unprofessional and unlike Hilton properties.

Room was very nice and spacious. The staff was incredibly friendly. I arrived an hour before check-in and my room was ready. Very close to the airport with multiple restaurants nearby. Breakfast was the standard for a Hampton Inn, but still hits the spot, especially if you're short on time in the morning. I would stay here again.

THEN Kayla B took over from the front desk and got us the room we had initially booked, and with her manger’s consent, ONLY charged us for 1 of the 3 nights! She couldn’t have handled our situation any better! Will definitely stay there again.

So for what your paying for its great. Rates in general are inflated around the airport. But the Staff does make the current late winter rates bearable. I feel if you server biscuit with gravy you better have sausage in it. They do not : (other then that the daily weekday attendant (most awesome little women) is attentive to the seating area and will take any trash off your table to keep it that way. Love this. She does the same with the serving area. Think they need a better fruit cause this one all the canned fruit is bitter. Other than that waffle liver they have the make your own. As a HI member check in is fast. Staff there is awesome. Hot Tub was currently down but they did try to remediate and that was appreciated.

Great Hotel! Great Staff — very personable and friendly! Typical clean and comfortable rooms. Conveniently located near multiple dining options — all within walking distance. Will return — recommended!

I had just gotten back from a Carnival Cruise, and having spent a week on what was basically a pull out cot, my back was killing me and I was told a week earlier that our check in would be at 1, when they finished the room. Instead of waiting, we got there and they had already prepared our rooms, let us right in with no fuss, and the rooms were amazing. Mini fridge, microwave, flat screen TV, two huge beds, nice bathroom area, an L couch, it was huge. The complimentary breakfast was impressive as well. Would recommend. Only cost us about $140 a night if I'm not mistaken.

If you're in Jacksonville and want an awesome stay this is where you want to go. I travel all over the country and work in Hampton Inns quite a bit and this one is a shining star! Jake, the GM, is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and the front desk staff is top notch.

Unless you're familiar with the area, it's hard to see from the road. You have to use a secondary road that runs parallel to the main road to get to the hotel. Once there, the hotel has a large parking lot. It's able to accommodate trucks with trailers, but doesn't have designated parking spaces for these. There are gas stations near by and plenty of restaurants to eat at. Breakfast at the hotel is okay. Food was a little cold and there were no breads offered. Vending is offered in the main floor and the hotel does have snacks and frozen food for sale by the main desk. The hotel has a small pool out back with a hot tub. Overall, it was a clean and enjoyable hotel. Very helpful at the main desk. I will stay here again.

Upon arrival room was clean, fresh smelling, and nice and cool. A/C works great. There are lots of outlets all over the room to charge everything you need to charge. Nice size comfortable room. Cons — if you are over 6ft tall you will have to squat to get under the shower head its to low and to close to the wall, towels are very scratchy, toilets are low boys which if you have arthritis like me are very difficult to sit and get up from, poor TV reception.

Huge shout out to the GM Jake not from State Farm (that's what his name tag said) I called several hotels and they all wanted to charge me full price just to take a shower and brush our teeth. We live in Kingsland, Ga and we haven't had water or sewer since Sunday night due to Irma and we were in desperate need of showers. When I called Hampton Inn and spoke to Jake he offered me a very good discount rate and he was very understanding and caring. Thank you for your kindness and generosity and helping us when we were desperate and not worried about making that money. Thank You again there aren't enough words to say how appreciative I am. My 2 boys and I are very thankful. It's good to know that there are people and businesses willing to help others at times like this. Thank you again!

Free breakfast was phenomenal with make your own waffle. Coffee was pretty disgusting. Hotel staff was super friendly and accommodating. Jessica was very nice and helpful.

Very nice hotel for a reasonable price. The friendly staff make you feel at home. The hotel is conveniently located to lots of restaurants and highways. The rooms are modern and clean with comfortable beds.

Amazed at how attentive to each detail the staff is. Danita the manager was friendly and kind making sure that each individual had everything we needed. We were a large group for a family reunion they made sure our rooms were close together and made us feel like we were at home. Mike absolutely went above and beyond offering luggage carts and waters and anything else that he could think of to ensure us the best visit ever! Thank you will definitely come back!

Well stocked breakfast even close to 10am. Clean comfortable rooms, good beds, plenty of space for luggage, pull out shelf between beds is excellent idea. Plenty of charging plugs.

We are so thankful for the management and staff here at the hotel. They have worked long hard hours to take care of so many people during Hurricane Matthew. Everyone here had a positive attitude and always had a smile on their face. The rooms were also large and very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great location. Lots of dining available nearby. Room was scrupulously clean. Even though the hotel was nearly full it was quiet and the staff attentive.

Great hotel. Staff was very nice, room was clean, bed and pillows were soft & comfortable. Morning manager Marie is wonderful. The free breakfast was great, especially the waffle maker. You can walk to several restaurants for dinner, too. Would stay there again.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel this past Thursday night. We used Booking dot com to reserve a King suite. When we arrived at 10pm and checked in, we were given a room with 2 queen beds. The hotel REFUSED to uphold their obligations of the reservation and tried to make it my problem by saying 'you used a 3rd party' and denied any responsibility for this screw up. We would have left had there been vacancies at other establishments. The room was musty smelling and clearly aged. The beds were horribly uncomfortable. You could feel the individual springs in the mattresses, and obviously, it wasn't the King that we had reserved. To say that our stay was less than stellar is an understatement. I contacted Booking (where we made our reservations) and they informed me that the hotel was unwilling to make any monetary compensations for their screw up. There are much better places to stay in the area. This particular location is not up to the quality I expect from Hampton Inn in way shape or form. Their ownership of responsibility is worse than subpar. We will NEVER stay at his hotel again. We are frequently in the Jacksonville area for family reasons, but going forward, we'll avoid this hotel since they can't be bothered to treat their customers well or honor their obligations, much less, admit their screw ups when they don't honor their obligations.

Great hotel stay, wonderful breakfast options, courteous staff. Only complaint was that the room had a stuffy, stale smell everytime we came into the room. Not sure if it was a mold smell or what but it was off putting for the first few minutes each time entering the room.

I was at this hotal last july 2015. Over the weekend. To visit the zoo. Loved the hotal one thing wrong. The pillows tooo soft… thats all. I would stay there again. Thier was no bad smell from my visit… thk u…

Rooms were very nice but we were there for 2 days for a furnel and was in the room till 12:30 getting ready. They said because we were in the room past noon our room would not be cleaned even though the housekeeping staff did not leave until 4pm. Hampton has lost our business in the future.

Very nice and clean hotel. Good location close to the airport. Pretty much what you would expect out of a hotel. No surprises.

Was here for two weeks… had problems with maid service not cleaning rooms when we left at 11am. Multiple nights of unviewable TV service…

I love staying at Hampton Inns across the country so this stay was quite disappointing. First, the guy staffing the desk did not acknowledge that he had guests waiting while he completed a lengthy phone conversation w/ another customer. A simple, "Welcome, i'll be w/ you in a moment", would have worked. Anyway, the lobby plus all the common areas in the halls smelled horrible! The room was nice plus a lot of nice choices for dining. I informed the staff I wasn't feeling well but they still did not make an exception and let me check out 1hr. Later. I'll be going back to the one on Baymeadows off 295E, they are always awesome!

First, the staff were exceedingly nice, responsive and well trained. Second, the rooms were spacious and linens were clean. What I had trouble with were the smells… the third floor smelled like sewage in the hallway and when you enter the lobby, there is an over powering BO smell. It was so distinct, I didn't want to eat breakfast there. The lobby looks good, but smell is gross and pervasive. First time I have been disappointed at a Hampton — sigh…

We used this hotel as a family vacation pit-stop. It was perfect for the job. Right off I-95, and right near the airport. There are plenty of restaurants around the area to enjoy as well. Room was clean, well-prepared, and comfortable as described. Price was fair. Breakfast was nothing spectacular, but free and and substantial enough for road trip food. Recommended for a mid-priced hotel stay short-term.

This was a great hotel. The staff was super nice and the room was clean. When we got there we asked for a smoking room, which we got. We were surprised to find didn't smell like smoke at all when we arrived.
