Hotel suite is amazing! the hotel is walking distance to the beach and restaurants.

Love the cookies and the rooms are clean excellent location can’t express that enough! The breakfast lady is on top of everything and the girl at the front is funny but overall having a great time. View from the room! Location location is great here!

It is across the street from the beach! Staff is awesome. Beach gear is available. Near shops and food. I do wish they would mix things up a little for breakfast, but it is all well tended and stocked.

I had a very great stay, breath taking views. The room was very clean and staff was great. Breakfast was very good and plenty of choices. I will be back.

Love this place! Very close proximity to the beach, nice staff that work here too. The rooms were clean and they had a pool. The location was very close to the town and restaurants. The breakfast was waffles, donuts, oatmeal, cinnamon buns, cereal, etc. And had a lot of variety. I like this place and would come back again.

Easy to locate. Not a far walk to the beach. Handicap accessible. Breakfast so fair. Coffee was undrinkable. Children were running around unsupervised. Pool very small and too many people using it. Staff was busy yet friendly. Housekeeping is great. Room was clean and cool. Price was fair market value.

Getting 2 stars for location and bed was comfortable. But all other amenities were not so good. Only one ice machine worked in the hotel. Front desk clerk not friendly or helpful at all. Oh and the pool needs a major overhaul it was not cleaned once during our 2 day stay. It was full of sand off the beach. Also the laundry room could have a few more machines. We are at the beach and people would like fresh towels. Had to watch the room like a guard to catch the machine empty. Last but not least the room needed a little more TLC not the cleanest hotel. The bathroom floor was full of sand.

Loved the location; right across from the beach. The are is quiet and clean. Free breakfast. And the staff are friendly.

Located right off the beach local bars Are in walking Distance they Have a very very small swimming pool. Local state park in walking distance skating basketball volleyball Baseball. We stayed in room 210, I did find it to be the cleanest room, Carpet stains Sofa stains. The beds had clean sheets on them. Mattresses had no stains I removed all the sheets. The beds seem to be pretty worn out I wasn't able to get a full night of sleep. They have morning breakfast It wasn't to my liking I want to Dunkin donuts. As far as Amelia island is concerned it is quite the hidden paradise.

I booked online directly with the hotel and felt as though I was totally mis — led. The hotel is not ocean side but across the street + 1/2 a block. You can see the ocean from the east side of the hotel but I felt the $200 rate was excessive for what we got. They advertise as a 4 star hotel but this is certainly not the case. The hotel is showing its age and needs to be cleaned!

The meeting rooms were large and friendly. The hotel has a way to the beach.

Friendly as prison doors frankly disappointed by the lack of knowing how to live. Smiles it's not their forte especially when you pay 180 dollar for a dilapidated room.

I booked my room over five months in advance. When I showed up at the hotel to check in, they advised they cancelled my room. I am a diamond member in the Choice Points Program. This has never happened before. I have always received excellent service with the Choice Points Program in the past. The woman working the counter stated they didn’t have a valid credit card number associated with my room. This is untrue, as a valid credit card is attached to my Choice Point account. I was booked to stay for two nights. The staff member informed me they did not have any rooms available for the second night of my stay. She then informed me they had a room for me for the first night! However, she did not advise me the rate of the room was changing from $126 to $170. No apology was made. They made no effort to make it right. The front desk lady was rude, unprofessional, and made me feel unwelcome. I can honestly say it was the worst customer service I have experience in my entire life. Concerns I noted while trying to work with staff were: they could not work there computer system, had problems moving people to different rooms, and I overheard a family trying to cancel their reservation for additional nights due to their experience so far. A friend I was with noted, I was not the only person having issues. The front desk usually had 8 or 9 other people waiting to talk to someone. So if you want to make reservations several months in advance….

Adaquate. Functional, clean room, good service, good breakfast. The hallways weren't air-conditioned, and were very uncomfortable. The pool was extremely cold, and looked unkept. The rooms are very basic. On the plus side, it's probably the cheapest hotel on the island, but if you can afford it, I would suggest looking into a higher class of hotel.

We stayed here for a wedding and got the king suite. It was very spacious and had everything you needed and expected from a choice hotel brand. The staff was absolutely fantastic, friendly and helpful. Let's face it, for $100 a block off the ocean, this is one of the best deals around. I left my suit accidentally and the staff was very helpful and held it for me for over a week before I was able to come back to pick it up. Most other hotels it would have been (and has been) a pita to recover lost or left behind items. Would highly recommend, best deal for beach fun in fernandina.

Great place to hang your hat. Centrally located for the beach, food and entertainment.

Room was clean, service was friendly, the only downside was the included breakfast. Eggs were watery and overly salted and sausage was overly spicey. Can't complain too much since it is complimentary.

Had a reservation and reservation number. Said there was nothing they could do. Josie at front desk was rude and not helpful at all. Do not waste your money on this hotel.

I stay over 125 nights a year with choice hotels and Josie at the front desk can be quite rude. I have stayed all over the country with this brand of hotels and never have I had anyone give me trouble about my AAA discount. I love this hotel but I won't deal with people that are this anal about a %10 discount.

Great location one block easy walk to the beach. Very good breakfast service with friendly attendant. I wish the high season rates were more competitive.

Clean and comfortable rooms, more than adequate breakfasts, near the ocean beach and 2 miles from downtown (Fernandino Beach).

Great place to stay, front staff is awesome, the lady that cleaned our room was very nice too! The only problem is the bed just need to be replaced. Love the sun rise! We will be back!

Nice place, clean and friendly. Only complaint is that the a/c was down in the halls and lobby. It was 2 weeks after Irma so we give them a pass on that.

3rd time staying here. We like it well enough. Nice rooms. Friendly staff. Typical hotel breakfast offerings. Close to the beach. The rest of town is a bit farther away. Gave it 4 stars because of elevator being broken the day we checked out.

I went there for a weekend get away with my husband. Made reservations a week prior to getting there. I also called on the day I was arriving to see if we could Check-In early, and the young lady who answered the phone when I call said that I could (called around 1pm) and took my name. Once I arrived at the location Josie who was at the front desk told me that my reservations was canceled (got there around 3). They did not have a Room for me after I drove 142 miles to get there. So while talking to Josie I asked her about a manager that I could talk to about the problem or even calling the young lady I spoke to on the phone. She just kept telling me over and over again that there was no manager and she couldn't contact anyone in reference of them canceling my reservation, and not having a room for me. So I asked Josie if they do not call people to notify them of any problem with their reservations and she said (no) basically that's not their problem. Make a long story short their customer-service is very poor. So after talking to her for about an hour and not getting anywhere or a manager. We decided to go to the Hampton Inn which was very nice and very clean and awesome customer-service.

Huge clean room. Very nice especially for the price. The floor we were on was uncomfortably hot, but once inside the room you couldn't feel the heat. Breakfast was great. They actually carried name brand foods instead of hotels-r-us yogurts and such.

We were very disappointed with our stay here. The hotel itself was average, but the staff was very rude. When asking for extra pillows for our pull out couch we were told that they didn't offer extra pillows. Then we asked for a couple extra towels and had to bring our dirty ones to the front desk to exchange them. No customer service, whatsoever! The pool is very small, and had trash floating in it. On the up side, the room was large and the hotel was right across from the beach. Needless to say, we wont be staying here again. Stayed in Fernandina multiple times, always have enjoyed our hotels, until this stay!

Great hotel just a short walk from the beach. Rooms are clean, spacious, and priced well and the free breakfast was always well stocked with plenty of options. Staff was friendly and helpful and offered us fresh baked cookies at check-in on our first visit. Adjacent to Fort Clinch State Park entrance and a gas station and a 10 minute drive from downtown.

We called last night to see when we would be able to check in. We were told we could check in any time, there are plenty of rooms available. So we drove through the night with our infant and arrived at 8 am. We expected to be able to sleep because we were told we would have a room. When we arrived we were told there are no clean rooms and even if we wait until 11 we will have to pay an early check in fee. Now it's 9 and the clerk hasn't been able to get in touch with a manager. Two more hours sitting in the lobby.

Service was beyond excellent, love Amelia island and have meet the nicest ppl the rooms were so nice, what a great weekend.

Hotel manager should call back customers questioning charges in the most timely manner possible. It has been 48 hours with no return phone call. You have turned a happy customer into an angry one and all of this could have been avoided with a simple returned phone call. Very disappointed and will be reaching out to corporate.

Beds are nice, right across the street from a very nice beach. Staff is definitely lacking in the hospitality department, border line rude. Internet SUCKS. Not even worth using their internet to check emails, or to write this review. I gave it 3 stars based only on the location and comfy beds.

They don't care about their customers. I made a reservation months in advance and they cancelled it because the bank issued me a new card. The entire island was booked solid, so they could have easily sold the room to someone else had I not shown up. To top it off, I am a repeat customer at that location, a loyalty club member and they denied any knowledge of the reservation until I retrieved the reservation from my email to prove it! I called to speak to management, but they haven't bothered to return my call.

This is not oceanfront, although it is in walking distance. Very impressed with the staff and how accommodating they were. Very clean and huge complimentary breakfast, with a lot to choose from.

Had a great experience here. Steps from the beach, room was very clean and comfortable, bed was comfy and had many pillows. The pool was small but clean and you are so close to the beach already. The staff were above and beyond friendly all weekend. I heard there were 1st floor rooms that allowed dogs but we didn't see any. Free parking, lots of TV channels. We were very, very happy.

I thought this was a great place to stay. Very clean and modern. Prices were very fair. Our room over looked the ocean. There are not hotels right on the ocean so that was nice to at least got to see it from our room. We watched the sun rise from our beds. How nice! Friendly staff as well. Would go back again.

Live cockroaches crawling in refrigerator, on walls, and in bathroom sink. Front desk told us no way of getting in touch with hotel manager and also accused us of lying, asked us for "evidence" so we actually trapped and save a cup of bugs to show her. When we said we no longer wanted to stay, we were threatened that we would be charged the full price for all three days if we left early. Moved our room late at night — we had to move all our belongings and a sleeping baby — but of course, none of us slept in the other room for fear of waking up with more bugs. Poor customer service, dirty hotel, would not recommend to anyone.

About 5 years ago our family decidedto have location in Florida, as near as possible from Atlanta. My wife believed the photographs in internet and received 2 rooms for a week. Even our daughter adviced to leave away, after nightly drive from Atlanta (ca 400 miles) we were tired enough getting asleep in the dowdy rooms with aroms on chemicals and bugpoison. So we haven't nightmares, but we certainly waked one: The smell wasn't gone away and no one haven't breakfast: Instant coffee or tea from polystyrene cups with cereals in psychedelic colours. From the photograph in internet you can really see the whole stuff: 10 feet long desk where the all food and stuff fits. Not much? Isn't it? We decided to go to the beach. On the way we saw the swimming pool on the parking area. By walking we decided that wife and children stay on the beach and I will search a real hotel. I found it. After the story about fast and enforced returning to Atlanta the friendly personnel returned our money for the rest of the week to our account. We have travelled a lot, also in Soviet Union, also got disappointments, but Comfort Suites beated them all. Good: Beach nearby for waiting dad back.

This hotel is steps from the beach which make it ideal for a family. It is on the lower end of budget hotels. The breakfast was okay, although it was the same each day. The hallways were exceptionally hot, but my room was a nice temperature. The staff was somewhat friendly and responded to requests in an appropriate manner.

Was impresses by service and cleanliness of room. Located across street from beach and 5 mins from town center. Great location. Breakfast and fair so no 5 star. Pet friendly and room available on first floor. Will stay there again.

These are not oceanfront rooms on the beach. Hotel is in block across A1A from ocean.
