Do not stay at this hotel. It was only place I could find for workers of Hurricane Michael. One of them checked in, got a key. He had to go pick other person up and someone else had been rented the room. They were actually already in the room! Again DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. They are being reported for FRAUD with FEMA and EXPEDIA!

I had a room reserved throug expedia, unfortunately expedia made an error making a reservation without a room being available. Upon arrival I was able to talk to the owner and he tried to help me as much a he could. I give the gentleman 5 stars because he was genuine on how much he wished he could have assisted me.

This place is the lowest quality of any hotel/motel I've ever stayed in. The picture showed a decent room with twin beds, a kitchenette, and a living room. Well, there was only one full size bed. None of the rooms have 2 beds. The "kitchenette" consists of a small fridge and microwave at the foot of the bed. It had TV and cable, but it was a small flat screen 19 inch TV against the wall at the foot of the bed and was difficult to see the shows. The ceiling fan above the bed didn't work, and was the main light source for the room so the lighting was horrible. There was a light socket on the wall that didn't have a cover on it and wires were hanging out which is a fire hazard. The shower was disgusting. There was mold in the corners and on the walls. They never provided any type of room service to come clean the rooms daily, and the small window air conditioner provided very little comfort with Florida heat. Overall, my stay there was not an enjoyable one, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Scam. He posted on craigslist that it was 265 a week. Which it should be because the place is the lowest quality motel stay you could get around here. I go and he charges me 365 knowing that my financial situation wasnt all that great! I called Dolphin Inn and checked out their rates and they said it was about 325. Told Gipson I wanted my money back and this all happened within a 30 minute time frame. He sounded reluctant and mentioned there would be a "fee" for canceling. Ive worked at numerous hotels as a housekeeper and front desk person and know they charge a fee with online orders that cancel with 48 hours before check in. I was a walk in customer. No cancellation fees should be done but he did it anyways and took 50 dollars from me. What a jerk.

Eighteen years in business and only 3 complaints from a few low life transit. I consider the Gipson inn motel a plus.

I was in Fort Walton Beach looking for a hotel and when the Days Inn told me 275 a night Mr Gibson said 350 for the whole week.

Never stay here it is not a hotel It is a scam.

Was told my credit card was declined when I arrived and my room had been rented. The charge is on my card so this clearly is not the case.

It was all ghetto, run down, rooms were disgusting and the owner is a sleeze.

The owner is a straight shooter trying to maintain peace in the most economical motel in the are, he seems like a good guy to know if you're looking for affordable extended stays or housing in a tourist area.

This Motel is a big Scam. The management is corrupt and you will end up sleeping in your car or on the road. I booked one night and made arrangement to check in after 10.00 PM, I went there and office was closed, I called the number and no one responded. I ended up sleeping in my car with my kids and family. Be careful, it is a big scam.

The place is falling apart and infested with bugs. Stay away!

Looks like they might be preparing for some remodeling. I wouldn't personally stay there.
