The Angelina Guesthouse Hotel

Super interesting place! In its former life, it was a brothel. There are 16 rooms and all are named after the working ladies. 12 of the rooms have private bathrooms, 4 rooms have access to 2 different shared bathrooms. Awesome location. Awesome and down to earth folks working there. The wraparound porch and pool area felt like a retreat from the busy feeling in Key West. Don’t forget Finn, the resident cat from Kentucky!

We have stayed here for a few days in June for the past several years. Love everything about it. So close to everything, very walkable. The owners and staff are great. It is nice and quiet, cinnamon rolls are delicious. We are already booked for June 2020!

Love this place! First visit to Key West and we will definitely be back. Loved the pool, the cinnamon rolls, the friendly staff, the clean, quiet rooms. No need for a car if you stay here as everything is in walking distance.

A disappointing stay; positive things are the house and the perfect location. They are not compensated by the negative things: the owner was very unwelcoming (instead of checking us in, she was trying to woo potential customers by phone and took ages to talk with us) ; the room was very uncomfortable, with a bed with an old mattress (I still have back problems due to it), very noisy old appliances (A/C and fridge) ; on the other hand it seemed to be clean. The breakfast is minimal with very limited choice. The quality / price ratio is overall very poor. Just a further comment: it was the first time in my life that an hotel charged me for a stain in the sheet. From my point of view is not fair and in any case 30$ for a very very old sheet is just insulting. But any way…

We wanted to stay at our regular b&b but they were sold out. Someone told us about this place. What a gem in the heart of Key West. Clean rooms, charming grounds and excellent customer service. Julia (a wonderful employee) was making Kevin's (owner) mother's cinnamon rolls that were out of this world when we came down for breakfast. Julia told me Kevin's mom was a home-ec teacher and this was her fav recipe. As we were leaving on motorcycles we realized we had battery issues. Kevin went above and beyond to help us get the motorcycle charged. Adorable. Finn the cat was an added extra. Thank you Kevin and the staff at Angelina's for making our weekend.

Very nice. Everyone was super helpful. A three minute walk from the middle of Duval. I would definitely stay here again.

Had a lower expectations of this place but actually really loved it. The rooms are ok, not super luxurious or anything but its its mostly for sleeping anyway. But the location is the best and the atmosphere and pool is just PERFECT! Loved that there was no pool curfew. Perfect for responsible adults. Could also drink by the pool (in plastic or cans). Breakfast was ok, coffee was great and the cinnamon rolls were the BEST. Just what my friend and I needed!

We stayed on Memorial day weekend. The room was very clean and adorable! Very comfy beds! And minimal noise considering we faced the street. Breakfast was perfect and included fresh baked cinnamon rolls every day! Fresh coffee, fruit, cereals and bagels. We ate outside on the porch every day. It was great! Loved the pool area… a secluded feel and a hammock! The inn keepers were lovely and very helpful with suggestions for things to do and restaurants. We truly enjoyed our stay and plan to return! Thank you!

Perfectly located in historical Key West, 5 mins to Duval Street, super sweet and clean rooms, really friendly and helpful staff and backyard pool with palms around. We had an awesome stay.

The fresh cinnamon buns are awesome. Very clean and open. Had lunch by the pool and got to see the local wildlife.

Perfect location, close to everything, cute little rooms, very clean, very friendly staff, nice little pool and a very satisfying breakfast with fresh made cinnamon rolls, bagels, coffee, tea, fruits, butter, cream cheese, jam, cereal, oj and the breakfast is included. They have very limited parking space so you need to figure that out. Although we came during festival, the room price was reasonable. The hotel was full but everyone was very quiet and respectful so we could sleep well. There is a common fridge for guests to use on each floor. The little balcony surrounding the hotel is a cute place to sit. We enjoyed our stay and we would love to stay here again.

This place is exceptionally good, it really felt like home. The hosts and staff are all genuinely friendly and helpful with suggestions of things to do and places to eat. Our room was lovely and comfy, and very clean & fresh, We highly recommend a stay here, it’s fantastic value as well. Oh yes, and those tasty freshly baked cinnamon buns, they were SO good, Thank you again Janet & Kevin!

Rude staff! No parking and front desk lady freaks out if you park in the wrong spot next door even though it was empty and was only parked there so I could check in and find out where I was suppose to park (which is no where because they have no spots). When checking in they did not ask for my ID or my Credit card, Kind of strange but I paid online so I assumed that was why it was not required at the time of arrival. THREE days later she is pounding on my door while I was sleeping then unlocks the door 30 seconds later, at this point I'm half undressed, demands my ID and that my mother come down and show her ID and her credit card. At this point my mom is 30 min away getting ready for her wedding so I explain she can't at this time then the lady leaves… 20 min later she come backs. Unlocks the door and she is with a cop threatening to have me arrested for declining to sign a paper that states I was refusing to pay for my room THAT WAS ALREADY PAID FOR AND WAS CHARGED ON MY MOTHERS CARD ALREADY… That part really blew my mind. After cop got my mother on the phone and explained everything the cop was on my side and we were both just really confused on the crazy ladies need for me to sign that paper when the room was already paid for… btw tiny ass rooms with super thin walls you can hear everyone and creaky ass floors!

Good stay, very laidback and friendly staff. Room was okay, th installed new air conditioning and have/had a minor issue in room 7/Dolly, but we're going to check into it. This was prior to Hurricane Irma. My guess is that they fixed it. Great pool area, close to Duval. I would stay there again.

Myself and my boyfriend were very disappointed with the customer service at the Angelina Guest House when we stayed there. After reading the great reviews, we were expected friendly hosts but when we arrived, first of all the woman in the reception office looked me up and down when I entered as if judging my appearance/clothes. She even waited for me to introduce myself before she said anything as if I had to justify my arrival. Secondly they say that they help you find parking but when I explained we were looking for the right place to park outside, the woman came out and basically yelled at my boyfriend for parking in the wrong spot (there is a small parking area across the road but it was not clear if it was for use by hotel guests or not). Then, when she showed us around the guesthouse at the beginning, it was as if every question we asked was already obvious and a nuisance, so we didn't even feel comfortable asking anything anymore and just remained quiet, letting her talk at us in a cold and formal manner. And finally when we asked whether it would be easy to find a parking space outside the guesthouse later in the day if we drove to a restaurant and came back, all she said was that the guesthouse is not responsible for finding parking spaces for you after the first arrival.

My friend Kate and I made our first trip to Key West last month for a girls trip and couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at Angelina Guesthouse. We felt so welcome and relaxed from the minute we got there until it was time to leave. Our stay definitely exceeded expectations and the owners were so friendly and helpful. Also a great location! Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful hidden oasis with pool, palms, and furniture to relax outside. Close to the shops on Duval Street and a nice bicycle ride to Fort Zachary Taylor Beach, the Hemmingway House, and much more! Good breakfast, bike rentals on site were handy! Highly recommend staying here!

This guest house was absolutely perfect for my husband and I. We stayed in a room with a shared bathroom and did not have any problems at all. The staff is great, the bikes are $12 a day, the location can not be beat, and the price is fantastic. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and quaint. Plus, they have a suoer sweet kitty on the premesis that was a bonus for us:)

Cozy and Keys-ey! I love this place! This was our first time and we liked it so much we booked for Fantasy Fest ;) Great pool, clean room, super staff, delicious cinnamon rolls and a friendly kitty named Finn to greet you at the pool. And you can't beat the rates! The location is perfect. My new favorite place to stay in Key West!

It was perfect! Location was great! Our room fit our needs and more. Breakfast by the pool was so quaint. The staff and owners were so nice and helpful. If I could rate it higher I would. We'll never stay any where else when visiting Key West!

I stayed for 10 nights in November 2015. I was able to relax, rest, Party on Duval Street, recover while reading by the pool or the balcony and enjoy the self serve breakfasts. Yes, the rooms are small, but you only change and sleep in them in Key West. I slept well. I chose the shared bathroom option and had no issues in that regard. This is an OLD wooden building, it creaks when you walk, the doors closing echo on the hardwood floors and walls, but the guests that shared the place with me were not door slammers or foot stompers. I also rented one of the bicycles they have for use there, made getting around town easy and did not have to worry about the limited parking Key West has. I got so drunk one night I could not find my way home, cabbies know where everything is and got me back no problem. I had a good relaxing time and I am going back again this year, 2017.

This place is so amazing, I almost don't want to write a review because I don't want the secret getting out about great it is here! But the people who own and run this place absolutely deserve credit for the wonderful atmosphere they've created at this bed and breakfast. I'm writing this sitting by their picture perfect Florida backyard in ground heated pool, with a cat on my lap. I happen to like cats, there is only one, and he owns the place ;) He really is not a concern if you don't like cats. You'll be alright. The roosters outside and around KW and the people on mopeds will probably drive you more crazy if you get annoyed by things like cats. When you check in, there is free parking on the property! That's huge in KW! Then, they help you find parking nearby for the rest of your stay. Beds and pillows are comfortable all around and I've stayed in three of the rooms now. The air conditioners are super efficient! And the shower water is hot with good pressure! Of course, clean and tidy. I think the best parts of this place are affordability and location! 2 blocks off of mid-Duval street. Walkable to the Ft. Zachery beach, too. Bike rentals available, too. There's nothing wrong with that. The staff is super friendly and the rooms very clean. A bit like a holiday at Omi with a southern flair.
Breakfast is quite simple but perfectly enough for a short trip. There are also excellent, self-baked cinnamon rolls.

We had an amazing stay. Clean rooms, nice yard and pool area, and the owners and staff were fantastic. We will definitely be back.

We came all the way from Denmark to visit Key West. We loved the place and will definitely come back. Angelina guesthouse is a lovely place with great service☺️ And the pool — Oh my god — Absolutely fantastic heated pool in beautiful surroundings☺️

The pool area is very nice. The breakfast is also very good. The bed and the room is a little small.

On arrival we noticed the warmth of the owners. Everything was taken care of immediately. Whether parking or registration, everything went very fast and friendly. The Guesthouse has an ideal location to inquire about Key West on foot. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. In the courtyard is a great pool that seduces you to linger. All in all a hotel where the stay is in very good memory and you want to come back.
