Reviews of Seralago Hotel & Suites Main Gate East 3*
Amazing value, great experience from start to finish! Convenient location to attractions and shopping, polite staff, clean pools, good food, loaded grounds. And an adorable kid's suit mine loved!
We stayed here when we first went to Florida (2016) and I was actually impressed. Clean, kind concierge, room service, and the hot tub was great temp. Wasn't over crowded and everyone seemed nice. Had no complaints and was a great deal. Not sure if anything has changed but we'd stay here again if we're ever back down that way.
Had no problems and it's really close to oldtown every time we go it is fun.
Did not want to even give 1 star. But had to to leave a review… This hotel is the worst one in Orlando I have stayed at? We go twice a month to Orlando and we will never again stay here. The rooms were filthy. The GM on duty was flirting with guests? And slipped into a room with one of them? Then there was a party at the pool. Someone rented a room and had over 30 guests or more? We were not able to use pool cause they said all seats were taken? They were not hotel guests? When we said something we were told by the GM he has no control over how many people the guests invite? So I said really I can invite my whole family and rent 1 room? He said yes man you can? So I was reading rules at pool and it specifically stayed YOU MUST BE A REGISTERED GUEST TO USE THE FACILITIES? This was unacceptable. We were offered to stay another night cause air did not work and bed had springs popping through and kids slept on floor? So we decided to stay and at 6 pm we were told we had to leave? What happened to our comp room? This is unacceptable. Its not worth saving 5 bucks when I can go up the street and get a nice room and have comfort. And able to use facilities. Dont go by the pictures you see on there website…
I will never come here again! They have a lot of human trafficking going on here! People watch your kids. When your not looking they come by your room and make little marks on your door and write how many people are in the room. I told the hotel and they were just said we’re sorry about your stay! Even if your a young adult please watch your self! The room aren’t that great either, your better off paying the money to stay in a nice resort with bigger security!
This is not a clean space! Hallways, stairs, icemaker, vending machines dirty. We had to pay for an upgrade, so they could move us to the remodeled (still not clean) side of the building. I won't say it's a hotel, and for sure not a 3, 4, or 5 stars at all. At least the person who did our room did a good job. Reception pictures on the website are identical, but rooms are far away from being the same as the ones they show. However, location is excellent. Location deserves 4 stars. Overall it's a dated place, but if taken care properly would really be a gem. Owners will have to invest good money to make a real update to the place. This is just an opinion!
Listen you get what you pay for! As with any other room you can find for $30 A night there was hair on the bathroom floor rust around the door frame. The towels felt like sandpaper. And the same type of breakfast you get anywhere else for free cost $10 A person kids under 10 eat free w/ paying Adult. We only seen one roach. But the staff was accommodating and we had a great time with our family. So all together a good weekend.
Very busy at check in! The girls at the desk were friendly & pleasant. I LOVE the pools here! I do NOT like the double beds and they don't use fitted sheets so it comes undone quickly. It is an older hotel but looks decent. Nice kids play area. Close to Old Town… walking distance. Very respectful of my service dog.
You get what you pay for. This is not the Ritz Carlton. However, we were just passing through the Orlando area and we needed a cheap one-night hotel and it was clean and comfortable. Check in was an easy process. They were very nice at the front desk. I actually got a Groupon for this hotel for 1 night for $30 approximately. Good place to stay if all you need is a place to rest your head and a hot shower.
This is a dated hotel that's been given some paint to try and hide it's age. For the right price this hotel is fine but don't expect anything special. Acceptable distance to the Disney parks for a cab ride or the shuttle that send to come here. The staff were pleasant, helpful and nice to speak with. A $25 "Rush check-in" fee so you can get to the parks earlier than your checking time of 4pm?! is crazy especially when the room was only $50 for the night. Not that your here to watch TV in your room but having a "tube" TV in the rooms really dates this place and makes for a horrible watching expressive. Of the 2 beds in my room one was so old/broken that it dipped in the middle. The towels were stained, old and right but clean. Water pressure was great and it stayed hot for 2 showers! I'd stay here again for the right price if I just needed somewhere to sleep after a day at the parks.
The price is reasonable for the location, but not for the room. Amenities were nice. They have a large pool. Should have had a complimentary breakfast tho. The room was definitely not what was pictured on Expedia, it was much smaller. We got the family suit and there was no curtain leading to the bunk bed as pictured. Also the twin bed right up on the window seal had shorter curtains that allowed light on the bed all night. The bathroom had an odd smell and the rooms could definitely use a renovation/upgrade. You can tell the hotel is old. The location is great as it's right on a strip with plenty to do.
Well it definitely beats a Motel 6. Pretty good Resort for what it is it's about 30-40 years old is fairly well kept up. You will get a lot of people from a lot of dishes and now he's. Specially if you were not used to that type of thing this may not be suited for you. Droid my stay there the room is not that great. More like a Hotel 6 or better. But the price was right.
For the price you pay you really can't ask for more. We arrived to a very smelly room and were immediately moved which was great. The new room had no issues until the bathroom was used. Maintenance came to fix it immediately. Breakfast buffet for 9.95 a person is decent as well. Would stay again knowing the expectation can't be set high.
Great hotel, near many restaurants and places to eat. Near rides, with pools, hot tubs, volleyball and playground. Peaceful and enjoyable. Excellent price! I would recommend this hotel 100% and would definitely go back.
Can't beat the value. The location is perfect. I've been here 4 times. They've consistently delivered. Most of these negative make me roll my eyes. It's impossible to find a good hotel with a super-prime location like this for the price.
Great place to stay and fantastic value. I come to Orlando often with my wife and daughter and will definitely stay here again next time. Yes the room might be a bit dated but it wa as very clean and comfortable. It had a microwave which is important to us and I did not have in more expensive hotels. There was a small division within the room we stayed in with a small bed and a bunk bed so you can easily sleep 3-4 kids there. I took out one star only because of the quality of the food offered in the buffet. This is not included with the room and recommend you avoid it. Canned fruits and only calories packed options, zero protein offered. There is a lot better options walking distance from the hotel. I did not explore the other amenities of the hotel but will review next time.
Great pool. The need to upgrade closet hang up rails and maybe change the color in room to new one. Breakfast was free for anyone under10. Everyone else it's 9.99. For a good price my kids enjoy it. My18yr and 5yr wanted to be pool hot tub. Playground nice restaurant around old town. I like it for the price. I would go again and stay there everytime. Thank u.
Bad attention and for worse you steal the cleaning as far as convenient location to move to the parks also have free transfer to the parks what the burglaries are resolved asking for entry to go to clean the room as soon as someone is Present.
Bear in mind the price and location. This is a cheap hotel for the Disney area, but an expensive one if it were outside the area. You truly get what you pay for. I didn't like the relatively late 4pm check in time, though the pool was nice. The beds were ok at best. A decent place to stay if you want to save a buck and won't ever be at the hotel.
Absolutely awful hotel was supposed to stay for 7 nights ended up staying for 3 nights and moving to another hotel. Security in this hotel is awful someone tried to get into our room 3 times in 1 night through the adjoining door. Told the hotel they said the security would come see us and it would be fine. No one came! Went to the front desk again no one cared said someone would come see us but they didn't. Also refused to swap our room! The door isn't safe through to the next room and we couldn't leave our property in the room when we left. No safety deposit boxes in the rooms they want you to leave everything with the staff on reception that don't care that someone is trying to break into your room. I would not recommend this hotel if you want to have a good trip. Worst place I have ever stayed!
Staff helpful, breakfast a bit expensive, you should go to the McDonalds opposite or the KFC next door as they are cheaper, the hotel has a shop and what I like is free transportation to the parks of Disney and universal just have to apply for the schedule in re Perception. The rooms are comfortable, has flat TV, the room was a bit far but from there on out everything is fine.
It's great. But as everything has things to improve. I would go again without a doubt.
Excellent hotel spends holiday close to the Disney parks. Pool Yacusi a very good restaurant. It was super here.
Recommended for tourists. Simple and economical. Near Disney.
Terrible, customer service is bad they delay a life for everything and have a terrible attitude those of the reception, the toilet is not your best friend… The first night we found cockroaches in the bathroom, thank God we moved from room to the next day but that bad time nobody takes it away… It's economical but it must offer the essential.
My Room was rough but very cheap. Rest of hotel was great. Good staff cool pool bar and good prices. Nice restaurant. For what you pay you will never get better. I meet lot of the team working there and all so nice. But rooms need money spent on them.
This is our sixth stay at the Seralago. Once again we are really pleased with the accommodations. The rooms are clean. The pool is huge a with separate kiddie pool it is safe and fun for all. The playground is great for the little ones. The Tiki bar and the game room is nice for the adults. The staff are helpful, courteous, and consciousness. We will definitely make another trip. Prices are reasonable.
Hotel muuuyyy Dirty, they say they accept pets but they give you accommodation in rooms with an unbearable smell of old dirty carpet, there was dog excrement under the air conditioner, there is no specific place for your pet, they isolate people with pets and Apart they give the worst rooms, the women of reception not very friendly super carefree for providing the client solutions, comment to the person of reception the conditions of the room and did not give importance to what said his answer was: Yes clear because Precisely you come with pet was given this type of room, a Hispanic woman was the one who attended me in reception very patana, is really amazed that lack of respect and interest and apart from everything if we go with pets with more reason must have an impeccable toilet in the Rooms, we stayed there because we found no availability in other hotels where we have stayed with our pet in many occasions in rooms really dignified to be able to spend a comfortable and pleasant stay. I would definitely never recommend this PESIMO hotel.
We arrived late Sunday evening on March 11, 2018. There was no elevator to get to our room on the 2nd floor with an outside entry. The room looked as if it had not been vacuumed or scrubbed. There was black mold in the shower (which we found the next morning) and instead of caulk around the tub was painted with paint. The shower bar was not attached to the wall. The pull out couch had stains all over it. The furniture was very dated and falling apart. The electrical outlet by the sink was not working. We only needed to stay here for one night and could not wait to leave! Do not stay here!
Last minute we were able to get a sitter for my 9 month old first born. Today is our first wedding anniversary! We found a room amongst all the spring breakers that wasn’t either a trashy motel or $500 and booked it. When we got her we were created by a great staff and quickly checked in. We were directed to our rooms and away we went. As we arrived we noticed it was a clean room but, with two double beds. Now mind you I’m 5’5 but my husband is pushing 6’8, he can take up an entire double bed by himself! We called down to the front and we got a manager named Jennifer in the line. She told us she would look but she didn’t think anything was available. She’s told us she had one larger bed available and to come back ASAP, so we ran to the front! She upgraded us to a king size bed, that also happened to be a pool side view! I couldn’t stop thanking her. Jennifer, THANK YOU SO MUCH! This is one of those cases where we are short on funds, time & are here for one night before we go back to work and family. We are loving it right now, watching our favorite show, in our king size bed, drinking a beer, reminiscing on the day we said “ I Do” one year ago today with the night To ourselves. Great, staff, great rooms and SUPER CLEAN! Thank you from the Nichols family!

Good and cheap. But one of the two beds was really over. For the rest, very well.
Super Nice, clean, good breakfasts. Nothing to say.
I was in this hotel for the first time in 2010 with all my family, then I have recommended it to family and friends. Now in 2018 I return with my family, for its location close to everything, besides the good price. The two-suites is the best option for my family (one private room with two beds, living room with sofa bed and murphy bed, kitchen and bathroom).
I do not recommend it, the woman at the front desk is a Hispanic complexed and rudeness does not mind the time of the people, aggressive, that hotel should not be selective with its employees since the tourism live. That woman so patana and I could not stay in the hotel despite having paid online. They couldn't even talk to a manager because they are not in their jobs and the employees have no names on their shirts.
Very kid friendly. Not sure if the decor in the rooms is the attraction of the place but it sure is very outdated. Overall comfortable little place. Good for short stays. Rooms are equipped with microwaves and refrigerators. And tv's are good as well. Regular cable channels. It's decent.
What I liked. 1) location, it's literally across the street from Disney property. 2) price, with groupon you can almost always get a room for $50. 3) they do offer some good amenities like park transportation, free breakfast for kids, a decent arcade and pool, large rooms with bigger than average mini fridge, microwave, and an additional twin sized day bed. What I didn't like, the property is so huge that, obviously for $50 a night, it isn't maintained to the highest standards, once we stayed and our floor was soaked, I mean SOAKED, another time we stayed and there was a problem with the smoke detector in the room, but you get what you pay for and for the price, if you check your room well before unpacking your car I would say it's worth it.
Arrived in a room that did not match our expectations. Changed it away by a larger one. Nice pools, laundry provided and friendliness of the staff. American family atmosphere. Good value for money.
The hotel is fine. It's what you need when you go to Orlando to the parks. Don't look for great luxuries. It is very well located 5 minutes from Disney, 3 from Walmart, 3 from Publix, 20 from Universal and 3 blocks from a Nike. It is in an area with lots of places to eat and buy gifts.
Mid-low Hotel. They have very sloppy, ugly, little clean, stained and old rooms. With a smell of confinement. But they have others that are very nice (wing that gives to the pool and games) that are newer, cleaner, bright. I suggest you always apply for these, the others are bad category. In favor: minutes from Disney parks, outlets and shopping centers and restaurants. Breakfast: does not convince (10 UDs adult entitled to two minor children without cost) but without variety. Good speed Wi-Fi!
It was the worst stinking very ugly very old beds.
This is the second time I stay with my family and the hotel is very good, has good customer service, me and my wife are well tiqui with things and always checked everything and at least in the two rooms we have states the matress and the Almuadas are new, we looked underneath and they are very clean… Note: Remember do not think that paying $35 the night are going to be staying in Rist Carton or a hotel of that quality.
First time staying at Seralago. The hotel is not the best but it is nice when it comes to saving money. Hot tub, pool, play ground, arcade, cafe, mini market with merchandise. The staff who work in the cafe are great! Nice people who help take bags up and down the stairs for you (no elevator). Downside: bathroom needs a good scrubbing. We'll be back though because they staff helped us book rooms for a discounted price for 5 families.
We stayed in a residence with two double beds, TV, conditioner, bathroom. Frozen room. Every time we came back, the air conditioner was at 15 degrees when there were 30. The room didn't look particularly clean. The last few days in the bathroom came out of cockroach-like animals, which is disgusting. Internet absent, but because a week before Hurricane Irma had passed. Quite convenient to go to disneyland as a proximity, but the coach passes too few times and especially in the evening makes the last ride at 21:15 from epcot, when the parks close at 9pm. Discouraged.
Not family friendly at all. I came here from a long drive to Orlando and walking all day at Magic Kingdom only to check out the same day I checked in. It was horrible. This is one of those hotels that is super sketchy. People live here and I'm okay with that but… we had a horrible experience. I drove back home sleep-deprived at 3am because of the lack of hotel rooms in the area. Sure, this is affordable but if you want a safe area; I would not recommend it. The hotel rooms are gross, broken down, the door we had looked like it was broken into. Even one of the staff members said the room 'Smelled weird'. Horrid.
Christmas in Orlando for seven weeks at 5 star resorts BUT 2 nights were unavailable. So booked Serlago on airline points. Be realistic it is half price of the usa chains. It is a fine 3 star. No bugs friendly and efficient staff great location. Across from McDonald's and a great Chinese buffet. I walked over to Old Town a great oldies style theme park and stores. Be a lover not a hater.
I have stayed here a few time with no complaints, until my last visit. The room appeared unclean. Specifically the walls. The bed in the kids suite was not a king sized as advertised. Which alone was not enough to turn us away because we have enjoyed this place before and you can't beat the rates BUT… This trip we traveled with a guest that has a service dog. We had plumbing issues that backed water up into the room and on the floor. It was late at night when we got back from the theme parks when we saw the problem and they refused to help because of the dog. Who was on a leash. They made the disabled handler of the dog leave the room in order for them to come. The next night we didn't get back from the MK until 1am and was locked out of the room. They said it was still the plumbing and we had to change rooms. And offered no help. I have to move 4 people and a dog at 130am by myself. The next morning, my husband and his service dog were confronted by new staff accusing him of faking the dog and if they would have known how big she was fake or not they would have turned us away. (50lbs) One staff member even asked him what was he diagnosed with because he look fine to her, that being the proof he was faking and sneaking our pet in. We asked to speak with managers or owners and was promised they would call us. Never happened. This was not only disappointing because we liked this place in the past, and because people with disabilities deserve better.
Very good hotel for the price we paid. Staff very friendly and helpful. Super punctual transportation to the included parks (ask for a sheet with the bus timetable at the reception). They allow you to print at no cost. They sell Disney, Universal and Legoland park tickets. There is coffee and bread all day available for sale. Buffet Restaurant 10 or 11 dollars per person breakfast. It's all perfect for me. Would definitely come back:)
Good hotel to spend your holiday at Disney, if you want a close and quiet place to sleep.
The worst hotel I stayed in I would not be in the even if I gave it to the room is extremely dirty, the smell of mold and humidity is really unbearable I gave up sore throat the bathroom was stained and dirty as if they had never cleaned the cable from L Microwave All peeled extremely dangerous Luckily we never connect it, the hair dryer when wanting to use it was shooting in outlet consumer attention is really undesirable if you are really interested in your well-being and your family does not Consider this place to stay says to be three stars but I would scarce give you a star.
Great hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. I was offered a ride on the golf cart back to my room. Room service is awesome. Clean towels are in my bathroom everyday. Location is the best part. There is a buffet, McDonald's, and Denny's you can walk to. There is also a theme park nearby.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and the breakfast was very good. The reception was very nice Very annoying otherwise you get very trouble.
The rooms are a bit frumpy and dark Yet the Disney parks are very close.
Good hotel, Abitacines Sensillas But there are abitacines very far away that if you have to walk then to make a good hike.
Got to the room and an hour later started feeling wheezy — pretty sure it was because of the mold in the bathroom! It was coming in black, dark circles above the tub and on the door frame of the bathroom. I definitely do not recommend taking your child here who may have some sort of breathing issues like myself. Requested a different room, which the manager was very polite, and my other room was much better. The front desk customer service insulted someone who was foreign and perhaps didn’t understand the process of “checking in”. I was somewhat surprised by her lack of decency when she said to the other front desk employee “are you serious? ” Obviously working in customer service in Orlando, FL, you should understand tons of foreign people will probably stay at a hotel near Disney. I was looking to book for many months, since the company I work for will have over 15 employees staying for close to 2 years in Orlando, FL, but this hotel will DEFINITELY NOT be on the list again!
Nice place for the money. It is an inexpensive motel and it shows. The rooms need to be remodeled with some electrical outlets added. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. We stayed for two nights and received housekeeping while we were out for the day. They had a nice little snack bar to eat at with pretty decent burgers and pizza and reasonably priced. It wasn't bad and you get what you pay for.
It's a motel. Very well located in Kissimmee. Near the parks and outlets. For those who seek only sleep, it is perfect.
First room was old. Beds were old and just sank in the middle. I called front desk and had to pay 17.00 to get a decent updated room. Whirlpools don't work. Heated pool not heated. Staff was very nice but when we got home noticed my daughter's ds is missing and upon calling, found we are not having a lot of luck getting anyone to help us and won't even check for it. Left a message for the manager. Waiting! My daughter has had that game for 7 years. All her games were on it. She has cried forever!
The location wasn't bad; fairly close to the parks. The room itself was pretty gross. There was mold or blood on the ceiling and in the bathroom. All the air conditioners dripped onto the walk ways and down from the upper rooms. The front desk was not friendly, but the food court and bar staff were very nice. I honestly thought it was a motel and not a hotel. They were very accommodating for my service dog, though.
Cleanliness to review. Furniture obsolete and in bad condition. Proximity with with a big avenue so very noisy. Personal who does not hesitate to disturb you in the morning for housekeeping.
I'm satisfied with the customer service and maintenance they have here. I told them I didn't have a coffee maker and a couple minutes later they brought me some. They always made sure my room was clean and I had enough coffee. The customer service at the front desk was great. I felt like family.
VISIT AT YOUR OWN RISK! Fire alarm went off all night. The front desk lady told us to take out the battery (BIG FIRE HAZARD)! OR go out and buy a battery. Room smells damp. Gentlemen came to our room with no badge and wouldn't say who he was and without battery. Our air conditioner would not work and they refused to give us another room unless we payed more The front desk lady (Michelle Duran) laughed at us for asking for a free breakfast at least. Next day the air conditioner still did not work. Nice pool, nice restaurant staff. We were out!
Awesome place and great price! Ashley checked me in, and all the girls up front were amazing! Entertainment everywhere and pool is awesome! Has a Tiki bar and kiddie pool! All kinds of amenities for the kids. High end resort qualities at an affordable price! Love it and will return! Thanks.
Great price, especially for a large family. However the beds didn't not have a fitted sheets just a sheet to cover the bed and another for cover, very weird. Needed more towels and soap. Very nice and quiet. Pool was nice but got tub bubble didn't work. But if you like somewhere to sleep great place. Overall it was nice for the low price spent.
We stayed in the two room suite to accommodate the group that we brought. There was a broken bed when we arrived but they replaced it with a new one for us. We thought we were getting two rooms with double beds in each, but ended up with two doubles in one room and two single day beds and a trundle double. It worked for us but we had to move things around and ask for extra bedding. The little kitchenette had a very small microwave, a bar fridge and lots of empty drawers. Don't expect to cook much in this kitchen and you need to bring your own dishes. The room was relatively clean and it served our purposes for the week we stayed. Close to Old Town and gift shops made it easy to walk around some nearby attractions when we weren't at Disney. The pools were nice, though not overly large. The "hot" tub was actually colder than the water in the pool.
Room more or less ready when we arrive… (No glasses, no coffee, questionable cleanliness). Shuttle Service to WD very useful. Ok to sleep.
Room from 5 very narrow, questionable cleanliness, decent value for money, good location for parks. As soon as we arrived a customer complained about a theft in the room (normal thing in Orlando), the following evening the panic with someone screaming to call security because someone tried to kidnap his son… Apart from these episodes we were anxious I would say that everything was fine and we left with everything we had.
I would say a 6-
Discreet Motel But subject to several thefts.
The room was decent. I have been in much worse places. This wasn't bad for the $40/night. 2 nice size pools… Not A 4 or 5 star, but not bad at all. Carpets were updated. Room was clean. Only complaint was Wi-Fi slow, but could have been my phone. And have to pay a minimal resort free. Another perk was the free shuttle to nearby attractions… Great value!
This is a great value hotel when visiting Disney. No this is not a four star hotel bit it doesn't have their price either. We have stayed at least 50 nights in the last three years at this hotel. It is always clean and we really like the Kid Suites and two room suite. Give the place a try it's well worth the rate.
Just there last weekend,,, coming back june 10-12 with my sister and grandkids… this place is my home away from home… vernice and steve at the front desk are awesome people… always quick, and friendly… see ya tomarrow!
This hotel needs an update, it is not horrible but definitely needs to be taken care of. When I got there, our room was next to what I believe was an AC unit for the building or an electrical something and the noise was horrible. Later they moved us to another room and the automatic lock to open the room has no battery. We waited around 20 minutes to get someone come and fix it. Once inside the room was acceptable but is very very old and needed paint, new pillows and mattress and definitely could be cleaner.
I had the deluxe 1st floor king bed. Room was very clean and nice. But the bathroom ventilation fan doesn't work and the TV reception was very bad with just local broadcast other than that it was a very pleasant stay with no other issues. FYI the rooms and Furniture are dated so don't expect anything extravagant just expect a very comfortable stay.
This in very bad condition, conditioners make a terrible noise, may not sleep in peace.
This was a terrible hotel. There was a garbage can outside our room that was not changed at all while we stayed the whole time. It looked as if it was not changed for days before too, I have a picture of how terrible the garbage can was. Everything had an odor to it or smelled bad in the room. The bedding didn't felt clean nor did it feel soft at all. It was like sleeping on a rock. In the bathroom the tile on the wall was painted over. The carpet in the room was vacuumed at all. They say no pets allowed at all yet I saw multiple guest with pets there and on top of that I am allergic to pet dander and hair. I had an allergy fit every time I was in the room. Cleaning lady didn't knock before coming into the room and didn't even seem to care that we lost a bracelet. This is the last time I let hotwire chose a hotel for me.
For the price the rooms estubieron well. We had the room next to the room of d'entretien and the janitors woke us up. Not offered free breakfast but outside is all did well.
The good thing about this room is that it is relatively cheap and close to Disney. The room was relatively clean but not like the pics on the website. And the"poolside" room was on the second for floor and required that we walk through non pool side areas before getting to the pool.
This single time went for the information, but other times that I've hosted me there, has been very well service, this time helped us with our questions and they were very kind, service has always been very good, very clean rooms law.
You get what you get for an old cheap motel. Cable didn't work in room, water wouldn't get hot in shower, one sink drain was broken, microwave in room was stacked on mini fridge because a less functional mini fridge was taking space in the proper location, two story motel with all room doors as exterior doors, hidden "resort fees", uncomfortably springy beds, the "remodels" I read about are cheap fixes, if they would have put a bit more money into doing it right they could have updated the place in a way that would last for ages, instead they used poor quality laminates and thermoplastic inserts, the walls are thin, you literally can hear people walking outside, everything makes noise (toilet was running, ac sounded like it was on its last leg) … honestly just spend about $10-$20 extra a night and stay somewhere nicer.
This a cheap option. If you're looking for a place to rest in the night its good. In my personal experience we had problems 2 days after checking in. Our access cards were blocked and we had to go to the counter to solve our problem. It took about half an hour to finally have access to our room. I made a reservation for 7 days and somehow after 2 days their system said that we were supposed to check out. Our reservation documents were locked in the room and we had to go with a security guard to retrieve them and prove that the reservation was in fact 7 days long. The staff were friendly and willing to help. Beware the access cards can easily loose programming to access your room. Never put them right next to your cellphone because you will have to get them reprogrammed. One staff member told us to leave the card in our car when leaving the hotel because even entering a store with shoplifting sensors would damage the card. Overall if you are looking to go cheap and save some bucks this is a good place.
Rooms were a little dated and poorly maintained. Smelled musty. Beds were not comfortable. Exhaust fan in the bathroom sounded like a helicopter. There was rust around all metal door frames and the refrigerator. On the other hand, staff was really friendly. Really convenient location. And most of all, IT WAS CHEAP! Great getaway weekend with the kids. They never complained about anything. I will stay there again, with the kids.
Great staff, 6th time here, now with remodel roms.
Very good very clean and best price.
We stayed at the Seralago Hotel Dec. 23-26, 2015 and we enjoyed every minute! I was a little nervous at first because of the reviews but it turned out really nice. Everyone was super nice and friendly from the time we checked in until the time we checked out. We stayed in the older part with the pool view. My room was clean and neatly placed. My kids enjoyed the pool, hot tub, playground area, and the Santa Room! Also, my daughter left her phone on the shuttle bus and everyone made it a top priority in recovering her phone. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and we will return.
The service, staff, and restaurant was great. Our waiter for breakfast was very nice and extremely helpful. The breakfast was decent priced and we received a disc for staying at the resort, and had a decent selection of food for the price. Proximity to Disney was a huge plus. The rooms are in dire need of updating. The air conditioner was not operating correctly, and had left a wet patch of carpet right in front of the door. It also ran constantly, and was very loud. The door was visibly bent and did fit meet the jamb on the bottom half of the door, probably a remnant of a previous guests fit of rage. The TV was very old, and clearly on its way out. The bed was also old, and did not include a fitted sheet, leading us to eventually sleep on the bare mattress after sufficient tossing and turning. We would definitely ret to this resort after a refurbishment of the rooms.
Good hotel the will the rooms are very clean, and the have it cuddly warm 10-20 of all the parkes and have restaurants in the lobby very cheap pizza burgers antlers.
Beware before renting here. You are told one thing online and by phone and when you check in its totally different. We rented a two room suite and were told we had a pull out sofa bed and Murphy bed. The "sofa bed" ended up being a wooden sofa with a cushion that was very dirty. The Murphy bed frame & mattress was disgusting. Lots of visible stains, the bedframe looked grey instead of white, it even had old blood stains. The minute we noticed these things we requested to be downgraded to 2 separate rooms. We were told a hotel staff would bring us our keys. Took forever and ended up bringing us the keys to the room we were in and wasn't informed we were being moved. When he radioed in they told him the room numbers and he took us there. He ended up not having a general key to open the room. So we were told to wait in the hallway. There were over 100 kids running all over the parking lot, hallways being very loud at a very late time. Before the hotel staff left to get our keys we told him to not waste his time, that we were going to go to the front desk to get a refund. Never again.
I'm just arriving and disappointed! I'm very annoyed and frustrated after driving 11 hours all I wanted, is to arrive to a clean and safe environment. The 1st room had a mildew smell and hair on the toilet, I returned to the office and request to speak to a manager Keith stated to me that he was the supervisor, and that he would assist me I said (if possible can you please give me an email address or contact number for your manger) he said NO there's no need for that I will fix the problem (I was in complete shock that this man refused to release that information. ) I was then upgraded to a room that appeared to be ok… It's now 1:18 am and my room smells like marijuana and when I pulled the sheets back to lay down there's hair in the bed… NO SLEEP FOR ME! : — (
Rating this place as a low end cost effective hotel. I stayed here overnight as a pit stop for my flight the next morning. I did not use any of the facilities or services. The room I stayed at was clean and newly renovated. A great place to stay for the price. If you're looking for a high end hotel, look elsewhere!
I can anyone recommend very clean rooms cleaned every day, the motel complex has two large swimming pools and one for children. The price for one night is 52 dollars. …
Worst place ever I was kicked out for a stupid reason. The person that manages this hotel should feel ashamed of your self, she is Chinese lady really rude. She kicked my entire family out just because they put money on the wrong laundry and removed her clothes to on other place that had been there for like an hour. She came back and started cursing at them telling them all kinds of bad things. She didn't care that children were present at the time of the incident. She called security and kicked us out, I called police to see if they could help but no help. She wouldn't even come out of her nasty room. I tried getting a refund but she called the lady's in the lobby and told them not to and told them not to give any personal information. I contacted Janus, that's the corporate company but no answer. If I was to go to Florida again from Dallas this wouldn't be the place to stay. Just try another place for just a couple of bucks more. This is not worth it. Her name is YAOWAY. Yaoway yaoway. Or some like that.
Room pretty clean. AC en route QD We arrived, it was nice and the sheets were not wet at the time (as in other motels already tested). Crappy Wifi (you have to go into the hotel lobby to catch it well). The service is there and smiling but not necessarily effective… A free shuttle to the various parks (Universal, SeaWorld, Epcot, Disney…) arrives every morning in 7:25. Don't be late. Super convenient to avoid parking fees of $16.
We had booked this room in advance because it was recommended by a friend. Had I known then what I know now I would've ran out screaming. I waited approximately 20 minutes to check in and at the time the key card system was down so they had to have someone come to our room and open the door and would have to be done each time we left and came in until it was fixed. That was a problem out of their control, so I'll forgive them for that. The state of the room, however, was unforgivable. Upon the door opening a wave of humidity and a horrible stench engulfed both my friend and myself. The AC unit was turned off and I couldn't get it to turn on. I called the front desk to have someone come see it. No one ever showed up before we left. There was also a spider that had made its nest next to the AC unit. We found out later that the unit was unplugged and one of the prongs on the cord was turned completely bent and warped, so it would not fit the outlet. I did not go to the bathroom in my trip, but my friend did and said the shower was still completely wet as if someone had just taken a shower there moments ago and no one bothered to clean it. I sank into the mattress as I sat down and waited for a maintenance man. As I was looking at the scuffed furniture in the room I finally saw what caused me to leave this hotel. A wad of lime green bubblegum was stuck onto the very front of the nightstand.
The carpet was very sticky. We kept changing rooms while the carpet was ok in the next room the AC kept cutting off in the middle of the night they gave us an upgraded to the suite the bathroom was clogged an the shower was not draining. They fixed the shower then the bed spring pinched an scraped a family member. The staff an the manager at this point were not answering the phones. Idk if they got tired of us complaining. We are check out tomorrow #can't wait!
This is a late review but better late then never right? i just want to say that my boyfriend and I read some of the reviews for this hotel and where literally scared to see it in person. But everything was booked already so we couldn't back out. I have to admit it wasn't a 5 star hotel but it wasn't as bad as people made it look or seem. the employee's where very nice. The rooms where not as bad as they made it seem. The way I see it is you get exactly what you pay for. It's a cheap hotel but for my boyfriend and I it was very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool, the little arcade they had inside the lobby, as well as the restaurant there too. We also enjoyed some drinks by the pool til midnight. So don't go by reviews sometimes because people can be a little over the top or dramatic. It's not a five star hotel as you can see. But its a good place to stay if your on a certain budget :).
I am here as we speak and while the room is a bit doable. I will never ever stay here again and will not recommend it to anybody. The staff is nice and pleasant. But you guys really need to renovate big time.
Man back in 2014 when I stayed back at this hotel (I'm mentioning it and going to Florida again and definitely not going to this hotel. 1. The shower head was rusty and looked like it was going to fall off 2. The backing behind the beds was wobbly and always shook around during the night. 3. It looked like the ac was going to fall apart. 4. The toilet clogged almost every time my family used it. 5. The sink was clogged and we had to buy our own sink cleaner to unclog it, WE COULD HAVE USED THAT MONEY FOR THE KIDS. 6. The carpet was dirty. 7. Beds were dirty. 8. Cockroaches, insects etc. 9. The ac outside of the room was very hot and annoying outside the room 10. Most of these happened when I stayed at this hotel in 2009 and even in 2014, WHAT THE HECK?!?!?!? Never staying here again.
"This place is the worst I ever been! ", the smell of the room, the beds, my son was going to take a shower and the shower head fell, and the toilet was the most disgusting thing. The day before I left I found roaches on the wall. I do not recommend this place this is — 1 star.
Worst three night stay — not worth the money. We got a kid "suite" which was just a built in "fort" in place of a bed in what might typically hold two queen beds. The kid suite part wasn't completely closed off, so all the light filtered into the room, YET, the air couldn't quite filter all the way in, so that part of the room was warmer than the rest. And, the little wall lights in the kid's suite area either didn't work, or took a second to flick on. Even then, the turning switches weren't attached securely. Electrical outlets were scarce (we had to move furniture or unplug things to get to one) AND our plugs didn't fit without shoving a flip flop under them to keep them secured and charging our electronics. The coffee maker had to be moved across the counter to be plugged in every morning. And, the microwave seemed to be about 40 years old and smelled funny. The bed felt like it was quite old, any minor movements shook the entire bed, which meant my husband and I didn't get a decent nights' sleep (I even felt my kiddo touch the bed in the middle of the night, and I'm not a light sleeper). The pillows might as well just not have existed. The fluff was practically worn away. To make matters worse, they didn't use fitted sheets on the bed, so we were lucky if we woke up on top of the sheets at all. Really kind of disturbing considering how old the bed felt and how many people could have been on the mattress :| I'm a very petite woman, but still found the shower too small.
Zzz Any way to give them 0 stars? where to start. I made reservations using name your price in Priceline. Once I got there, and extra 5 per day for "resort fee'. I did not bid for a resort, And after making a non refundable bid, being extorted for more money (option is pay the extra money or loose everything) sound like racketeering to me. But let's leave this aside, Room smells funny. AC cold on with 55 degrees weather. Courtins are dirty. Only one door card worked, 3 hours later none worked. light fixtures by the bed don't work. Look is like taken from the 80's personnel its rude and clearly not customer service oriented at all waking for something made me feel like o was on front of a DMV employee. Buildings look decadent, not only oldish. I worked Ops. Manager for a maintenance company in ny and o can tell you, if I had a hotel looking Less than half as bad than this plane o would have been fired on the spot.
The first time we stayed at Seralago, we loved it. The rooms were nice, large and clean. We had a handicapped room and a place to park and charge my wheelchair without the chair getting in our way. The people who worked there were fantastic. That was in 2012. In 2013, we stayed there again but had lousy luck. We were supposed to have a room with 2 queen beds close to where we had been before. When we got there, our room wasn't available and they put us in a little corner room that the hotel seemed to forget about. We kept losing power so my chair, our phones, cameras and tablets didn't charge. Finally, they had me put my chair in an office in the lobby to charge at night. It was very difficult to get around the hotel grounds without my chair and I'd have to wait for a golf cart to take me to my room after I dropped it off in the office and then again in the morning when we got ready to go. Several times they told us that maintenance would fix it that day but when we got back to the room, we still had the same problems. Most of the electric plug ins in the room were fit with the wrong covers so you couldn't plug electronics or curling irons in and get them to work or stay in the plug ins. Finally, after 9 days, at 1 am in the morning a maintenance man fixed it as best he could. He told us the front desk had never told him about the problems. Most employees were very friendly but one was particularly rude.
The last time I was in Kissimmee to visit my brothers I decided to stay at a hotel my brother recommend, I must say I did enjoy my stay at the Seralargo Hotel. I got to use there hot tub, swimming pool and even watched a movie in there theatre. I had reservation for a week but ended staying there for two weeks and there rates where excellent. Next time I visit my brothers in Orlando and Kissimmee I will certainly stay at that hotel.
I usually don't write reviews but I felt I should on this trip. Some friends and I went to Old Towne and decided to stay the night at this hotel. The only good thing I can say about this place is the bed was comfortable other than that nothing was good. It says that the rooms were newly renovated, believe me that room was older looking than me! I do agree with everyone when they say the Wi-Fi in that room was horrible! The front of the air condition unit was falling off, the carpet looked dirty, the TV kept going in and out like it was going to shut off and there was only 1 towel and one wash cloth both VERY SMALL for a 2 person room. Also the room itself was very outdated to say the least. The room also had a very musty smell to it. As we were walking back from Old Towne to our room there was 2 people standing behind the large sign by the entrance, a mother and a little boy, and as we got closer we relized that the mother was standing there waiting for her son to stop peeing in the bush that was there! Really shows class! Will never go back there or recommend to ANYONE.
I shopped for this hotel on a internet website and got a price break but prepaid in advance. When I arrived I was asked for an additional $5.65 (resort fee). They gave me a room that was located the furthest point from the office in a wing that was filthy and old from the outside and basically toxic on the inside. Mold grew under every glass picture frame and through every mirrored surface. The beds were shot with thin covers and everything was dated. There was no hot water, only lukewarm, and I had to ask to be moved. I expected much the same condition in the new room. However, I was shocked to see that the new room assignment was a more modern, renovated room, with updated furnishings. It was not thoroughly cleaned. Wi-Fi never worked, however, after three calls to the office. Just beware that customers who got an internet discount just might get a substandard room.
Been coming to this hotel for a long time and have not found a better deal anywhere else. Yes the place is a little dated, the rooms are sometimes musky and the beds have some hard miles on them but other than that everything is great. Good breakfast buffet and two pools and playgrounds. This is as close to a "resort" style hotel you're gonna get for 80 bucks a night for a room that sleeps eight.
What a POS hotel! The only good thing was the pool. The furniture looked like it was bought from a thrift store. The chairs were all scuffed up and one even broke when I sat on it. You could see that it was glued at one of the supports. The plugs were all loose in the outlets, so when you turned on or off the lights they flickered. The beds were coiled springs so when you laid on one you could hear the squeaking. Also spotted cockroaches. I felt like I went back in time 30 years the way the furniture was. Even the TV was the old style CRT. At least they could of had a flat HDTV since this is the 21st century. It is better to stay right down the road at the Motel 6 for the same price. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS PLACE! I am surprised I did not see any bed bugs.
Good value for less money.
Old-fashioned, air conditioning too noisy, big attraction the 2 swimming pools… The cleanliness and the welcome are to be revisited!
I host in may 2012. Lei critical positive negative at this hotel, but in my case it was totally positive; It is very large, but affordable; If what you're like me to visit parks and spend all day in the parks or Malls, I recommend it, the quality of sleep is great, take room capacity 8 people which has two rooms and is very comfortable, divine, comfortable beds clean bathroom, carpet also. From my own experience I recommend it. Do not use the resaurant so I can not comment on the food there. The pool if it is warm, you have many warm towels available. The other advantage is its location very close to the main roads to the various parks.

I stay at this hotel at least once sometimes twice a year. I was there in November and was just there again beginning of April. Hope to be back in the fall. This is a great hotel. Clean, friendly staff (Michalene, probably spelled wrong, but the lady that works in the office with the safe, is awesome, she is so helpful and friendly. Always a smile on her face) beautiful pool with lots of towels. If there is a problem they address it right away. Great location. Rooms in the first block are newly renovated and very comfortable. I have recommended this place to friends traveling to the area. Love it! Wouldn’t stay anyplace else.
