What looked to be like a great place and location I booked a 2 night stay for 5/3-5/5. Upon arrival around 6:30 I found a note on their office door saying the office was closed for the night (according to the door the office is supposed to open until 8:00 and checkin until 10). Also on the note was my name, room # and lock box code for me to get my key to my room along with a number to call with any questions. Kinda freaked me out that everyone staying there now knew who would be staying in room 201. And this review is specifically for room 201. Once I got the key from the lock box we opened our room. As soon as I walked in the door the musty smell was horrible! After trying to air it out a little it wasn’t helping. I also asked another guest to check it for me and she agreed that it smelled horrible and that it didn’t smell like hers. I called the number that was left on the not to talk to someone about switching rooms. He told me he couldn’t help me tonight and no one would be available until the next day. He told em to call the booking company to see if they could help me. Called them and they have been trying to contact the place since without an answer. I have also called and emailed without an answer. There was no way I was staying in that room. My daughter has asthma and could already feel the effects of the musty smell in the short half hour we were there. Thankfully I was able to fine a new place to stay and left their key in the same lock box I found it! Their customer service is horrible. All I want is my money back but they can’t even contact me or the booking company back to discuss it. Be very careful if you get stuck in room 201!
