After a long day in the rockies it was wonderful to just lay back and relax in this lovely mountain style hotel room. The owners were lovely and the atmosphere just perfect.

Great room with newly remodled kitchenette. Very quiet and close to hot springs. Thinking it's a great stay during the winter. Cozy.

My girlfriend and I just visited the area to explore the Rocky Mountain National Park and booked a room for a night. It was as I expected for the price and being a locally owned motel. My only complaint is that they charged me 50$ for making a bit of a wet spot in their mattress pad (thank you for providing it! ) After a long night of passionate love making. Honestly 50$ was probably worth it.

We had to stay here one night. The lady allowed me to see if I would have an allergic reactions because they accepts pets but put me in a room that didn't have any animals in a while. The place didn't smell like pets. They were really clean. The outside has cute tables/chairs and benches. They have flowers hanging which makes it feel cute and cozy. The bed was comfy as well. Just don't like the tiny parking lot. Easy to get in but hard to get out. I would stay here again.

Ok, this is 5 stars in context… this whole town has 700 people and is in the back of the beyond, so any place you stay here will be rustic. That said, the Canyon Hotel is welcoming and well cared for. The owner/operators are nice and friendly. The rooms have a microwave and fridge and are clean and well cared for. If you are staying in Hot Sulpher Springs, this is your best bet; better than the ”resort” itself.

Very old-fashioned hotel, half of the lamps did nog work but it had everything you need in a hotel.

I would recommend this place. The location to the park is great, and the inside of the room was very clean and renovated in a modern cabin like style. We had a room with a king bed and the bathroom had a tub with jets! Very pleased.

Cute place! Friendly service, comfy beds, clean bathrooms w/ large showers. Great place to stay if one is in town for the hot springs or snow sports, or even just passing through.

Whenever we visit Hot Sulfur Springs to soak and relax, we stay at The Canyon Motel and rent a room with a kitchenette. There are only 2 restaurants in town (? ) and we prefer our cooking! The owners are great, you can bring your dog, and rooms are comfortable and affordable. Very close to the springs. Some of the rooms are a little older. Parking is good.

Super-friendly proprietor with her young daughter checked me in, and we chatted a bit, making me feel right at home. The room was comfortable and quiet, and there's solar power on the roof and recycling on-site. I really enjoyed my stay!

Best no-frills motel I've ever stayed at. Clean, quiet and unlike other budget hotels, modern. Between Winter Park and Steamboat Springs right on 40, less than half a mile from the Hot Sulphur Springs. Easy to use website.

Good place. Wi-Fi is very slow. No exhaust in bathroom. Apart from that its a good place to stay.

Had some issues with room the first night. The owner and staff went out of their way to address my concerns. Very satisfied, will definitely stay here again.

Small but cozy place to rest and relaxation in Hot Sulphur Springs! The management changes, but the desire to please the customer remains. Very close to the Springs which are extremely relaxing — plan on 2-5 hours there. The Canyon provides discounts on various restaurants in the vicinity plus specials on the Hot Springs. Enjoy!

Is extremely nice inside they just remodeled it they have 1 room with a jet tub and I stayed in that very nice.

The owner of the hotel was the most accommodating person I've come across in a very long time. We were arriving late at night, so he called me to let me know he left our room open for us with the keys on the table and the heat on on a zero degree night. Beds were comfortable. Highly recommend! I'll go back for sure.

Perfect to stay a couple of nights and to walk to the hot springs. Nothing can top to walk back in the night, relaxed and clean and the train is passing… Options for breakfast and dinner are walkable too. The stuff is super friendly and the rooms are just great for the price they call. Note there is no mobile network in this town. I mean NONE. There is Wi-Fi in the motel which is not the most stable on the world though. Pets can come too!

Very friendly management & staff. Plentiful rooms with amazing views. Great access for hunters to get an early start hunting or fishing. Close to Rocky Mountain National Park and Hot Sulphur Springs. You will feel revitalized from your stay. Try it out!

A pleasant surprise. Rooms were very clean. Service was efficient. There was parking right outside the room. No complaints.

Very rustic, rooms definitely could use some updates. Super friendly staff and very accommodating. If you are looking for fancy and modern, this is not your place. We had kitchenette, which was perfect for our needs. Very clean and comfy. Walking distance to breakfast, lunch, ice cream, museum and hot sulphur spring pools.

Really enjoyed staying here. Nice old-fashioned feel, wood paneling in rooms. Comfortable and clean. Lovely area and so close to the entrance of the park. Also, the restaurant we went to in town (not many of those fyi) — the Dean Public House — was outstanding.

We knew there would be no AC, but after a night of restless sleep, somewhat regretting not having it. Overall nice place, well kept for an older Motel.

I was leery about staying when I drove up, thinking this stay was going to be a bed bug infested dive. Much to my delight the room was crisp and clean and in great repair. Don't think like I did, please stay, it was better than some places I have paid $200 night for. Go to the candy barn down the street if you love sweets. If the reception guy is not at the desk look for the button to call him, I did not see it at first. A++ motel. Did not have air conditioning which my husband was at first upset about as was July 28th and 90+ deg outside. We did not need air conditioning at all. I had brought a small fan in addition to the one in the room, as some motels in Colorado do not have air. We were never even overly warm, let alone hot, it was very pleasant and did not need air. Do not hesitate to book a stay. There apparently is a hot sulfur spring you can get in to, but I did not see it, nor look for it.

Quaint and adorable! Very roomy and with very comfortable beds. Kitchenettes, so clean. They are pet friendly, so you can bring your babies. Very friendly staff. Beautiful mountains all around with a nearby creek. This room is so clean and affordable they beat the big motel chains hands down. Next time you are in Hot Sulpher Springs, CO, you will not be sorry. Give them a try.

Everything was perfect. Just 12 miles from cranby and west entrance to rocky mountain national park. Owner was very friendly and guided to the park. Will definitely stay again.

Great. It was clean and quite the whole time. The rooms are not big but everything you need is there. They have got a coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, and tv. The setup is nice and the beds are great. Overall really nice hotel. It also gives discounts for other restaurants in the area.

Wonderful place for a nice relaxing stay. The rooms are emaculate! Parking is limited but doable. Highly recommend you make reservations so to be sure a room is available. Very friendly and accomodating!

I had a late arrival and I really appreciated the ability to check in late. Motel was otherwise average. Small room and bathroom. Thin walls.

Our futon was in disrepair but other than that, the room was really nice and we had a great experience. Owners seem like great people.

Very nice place, rooms has been reniveted an and they look so nice,, the decoration is charming, and the beds super confy. The rooms in this motel are superior to any 3.5 stars name brand hotel.

We loved it! Room had been renovated and was very clean and spacious. I don't usually stay at the little guys. But I am glad I did this place is a triple diamond. I will be back and highly recommend.

Have stayed here a few times. My husband and I both love this place. Affordable, clean rooms. Close to the hot springs, only 5 or so minutes walking. Friendly staff. Good for groups, ask about the 3 room suite with kitchen. Took my mother and aunt here this past spring and it was plenty of space for the 4 of us. The kitchen is simple but nice to have if your tired and relaxed from your time in the hot water and don't want to venture into town for a meal. Will definitely come back for future trips.

Great little place in a small mountain town. Wifi was a little shady but no other complaints. Bought discount tickets to the spa here. Would recommend =).

First time stay, and it was amazing. Friendly staff, clean and large rooms, and really close to the springs. Absolutely on radar for when we come this way again.

We were stranded on our drive from Fort Collins to Steamboat when Highway 40 was closed late in the evening. We were forced to drive out of our way, and ended up in Hot Sulpher Springs. My wife called Canyon Motel late at night and found a friendly woman on the other line. We were relieved to find that there was one room available, which we enthusiastically booked. When we arrived at 2am we were greeted with extra blankets and an air bed to accomodate our large party. The room was clean and cozy and although anything would have been better than sleeping in the car, our room at Canyon Motel would be perfect on any other evening as well. In fact, we plan to come back when the weather is better.
