Cancelled my reservation 7 days before our stay and they are denying my refund. Credit card is disputing the charge. They’ve since blocked my number as well over a $99.01 room charge.

3 stars ⭐ Not one of my favorite places to stay… just right off the highway and we got a group discount for staying here for a family reunion. I heard the pool was nice and the kids liked it. The lobby area was decorated nicely, but the rooms were in serious need of renovation. The carpet was old and walls smelled heavily of smoke. (Not sure if I ended up with some sort of throat virus because of it or I was already developing it on the drive over). There was no elevator and had to drag suitcases up the stairs (yeah, I know first world problems). A/C didn't work terribly great and could hear some background noise from the room over (even though we were on the end). I don't remember much about the breakfast, but waffles are always good right? I mean it's just a place to sleep for the night.

Elevator was broken and we weren't told until we brought all of our luggage in. Sheets were dirt with hair and crumbs all over them. Room had severe water damage from ceiling down the wall. Only offered a different room on a higher floor with no elevator. Concierge did change the sheets.

Awful! My husband, daughter and I stayed at this hotel last night. We arrived late, the night desk worker was nice and helpful. At 5:30 am, we woke up to the smell of cigarette smoke in our room. It smelled like someone was in the room smoking but it was coming from outside. Our room was right above the front entrance and people were smoking below. In the bathroom there were pills in the toilet paper holder and the shower was disgusting, it was black and had standing water. We checked out immediately! When I called later that morning to talk to a manager about this, he greeted me by saying "I can't give you a refund. "

The beds were comfy. We didn't get a chance to use the pool or hot tub but they looked nice. The breakfast was just carbs no protein. Maybe some hard boiled eggs would be a nice touch. Coffee was pretty good.

Plain Jane motel in the middle of scenic Eastern Colorado. 3 days tornado free. ☈☈ Great location if your visiting family serving time in the state prison down the street. This a judgement free zone. Your safe here.

I love this place. The ppl who work here are top notch and realy respect full… Very pilot and accommodating…

This is a bad hotel. They flat out treat customers bad. They gave away a reserved two queen bedroom and then told the customer they can't stay at the hotel when they complained about it. After putting them in a king bed room, they tried to kick them out and called the police on the customer. They wouldn't refund the money but still wanted them out. Then while the police were helping find them a new room at a different hotel. They tried to kick the police out and they shut off the power to the room. How ridiculous can you be?

Staff was good. Room was not clean, bathroom mirror and sink dirty. Front desk market place for food was very scarce and vending machine empty.

A nice and quiet place of the highway. Friendly service from night time today time. Definitely recommend it.

No Wi-Fi, don't stay here. Tried 7-8 times to get Wi-Fi working. Even changed rooms (to a dirty one mind you). Then tried to discuss with front desk, was hung up on. Tried to get resolved was patient and nothing, she said talk to the person tomorrow to get a refund. Pass the buck. do not stay here. You have OTHER CHOICES! Don't stay at this hotel. They don't care.

You stayed here when we were stuck in town because the roads closed for weather. The people working were so nice and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and clean.

Service was great here. Room was clean, comfortable, and no problems with hot water as I saw in a few previous reviews. Fitness center is pretty tiny, but it works. Also, had an issue with my wake up call not coming through, but they were aware of the fact that it got missed and were apologetic. Would highly recommend whether staying for a night or a week.

I would like to highly recommend the quality inn and suites in sterling, co. In october 2017 I was seeing a family member that was dying and one that was in lockup. Two other motels in sterling would not accept cash or cash deposit. Your stuff not only accepted a cash deposit in full and payment in full but were extremely courteous, well mannered, very clean and nice accomodations. Quick and just in general pleasant to be around. A sincere thank you to the staff and to your company.

First he gave us a room that already had somebody in it then a room with no hot water. But we did get free breakfast.

The beds were made, but the bedding seemed a bit dirty. The hot water was out, but the shower was warmer than cool. The breakfast amenities were rather sparse. The milk was frozen, there was no hot water for tea or oatmeal, there was toast and a waffle mix. Wi-Fi didn't work well, but you can pick up the super 8 signal from next door. For the price, it was adequate, but definitely below expectations for a national chain.

Don't ever stay here. Staff extremely rude. Told you to get the f… out. Never witness such unprofessional staff ever! No hot water! Room Never cleaned once during stay. Staff white trash. Go to Holiday Inn in Sterling.

I've been stranded for six days the staff here have been awesome very helpful and kind. The rooms I've stayed in have been clean and neat. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of food. Would be happy to stay here anytime Thank you guys so much for being so kind and helpful to me.

MICE INFESTATION! Do not stay at this location. I checked in on 11/30/17 and promptly checked out after I watched 2 mice run across my floor. At the front desk they assured me I would get my money back, but shocker, now they refuse to refund my stay. I am an Elite Diamond Member with Choice Hotels based on the number of stays yearly in Choice properties. Over 10 years this is now the ONLY Choice property I will NEVER visit again. If you decide to stay at this location please bring your own mouse traps! Sleep tight!

I came to this place because I was re assured I could get sleep. Was awaken at 5:30 am by person with deep voice. Front desk had to be told what room I was in. Don't understand why I can't sleep in a place I paid for. I over looked the grip of giant fat lady bugs gathered in the room. The horse fly I had to chase down and kill with a shoe off the ceiling. I even overcooked the makeup stain I found on the white comforter turned face down to hide it. (not at all washed) I just wanted to sleep. But I guess that was too much to ask for. Half star. Keep driving don't stay here.

We have stayed at a lot of hotels because we travel a lot and the quality of Quality Inns is great. The rooms are clean and really very nice. They have a hot breakfast available. And they are pet friendly it's our favorite place to stay.

I never complain, but you need to staY somewhere else where they care. Filthy, they must have had a rough Saturday checking rooms, because when we checked into the room, the sheets on 1 bed weren’t changed as they had stains and 3 long hairs on them. The front desk agent apologized right away and gave us another room which was fine. For breakfast at 8 am, they offer 3 sausages or that’s all they had left and they were out for hours and when they run out, they run out. No apolodgy, no care from the am front desk guy and he seemed bugged when I asked for refreshed items, but I guess being on your phone is more important. Basically just blew me off. I will make sure the town of Sterling doesn’t refer this place. This is how you go out of business, by eliminating care and hospitality! The 1 Star ⭐️ is for the agent who worked Sat night shift. Just a delight and she should be in charge as she knows the simple steps of service!

The hotel is really pretty once you walk in. Great staff! The room was decent. Some weird stuff was on our bed sheet so we just took it off and never slept with it. Breakfast was terrible. Every time we went there was never any eggs, bacon or sausage out. So I was lucky enough to get a waffle, since they were almost out of batter. Wifi was very slow, couldn't do any of my work here. I would stay here again if I only really needed to. But over all I wasn't mad or very upset. Just a nice little slow hotel.

All of my stays at this hotel have been good. The rooms are always clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are good size and come with a refrigerator which is nice.

The room was comfortable, quiet and reasonably priced. Breakfast, which included waffles, cold cereals, oatmeal, bagels, toast, yogurt, sausage, hard-boiled eggs, apple juice, coffee and tea, was tasty, with enough variety to satisfy anyone. The gentleman who was working there was the only employee I remember seeing, and he was very friendly, but the hotel seemed to be under-staffed, since it was located halfway between the Denver area, and one of the points of totality for the eclipse. They weren't full by the time we'd arrived, but were close to it. I do have a few complaints, though: There was no channel guide that we could find, so we had to go all the way through the channels. The HBO guide was for the previous month. There were no filters for the coffee maker. Now, it's possible they weren't needed for this style coffee maker, and since I usually don't like the coffee in hotel rooms anyway, I didn't bother to find out for sure. The worst thing was that there was a used towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. It was hanging from the hinge (for some reason), which kept it out of sight until the door is closed. But still, attention to details is important.

Staff is pretty good. Reception good. Exercise equipment is fairly good with some variety of machines and weights. Hot tub was drained out, but pool was nice. The stairs/hallways need better vacuuming. Cleaning staff doesn't replace some items on multiple stays. Bathtub cleaning was questionable. Adjacent rooms and hallways may be noisy at times. Overall, room was cool (in summer) and beds comfortable & staff helpful when asked. Decent place to stay but could be better. Convenient location. Allow cash payment without charging a card too.

Swimming pool indoors is freezing cold. Rooms need new carpet. Not all items offered are available. Front desk clerk says information that contradicts signs posted. Good things, beds are comfy and nice tvs. Cheaper then other choices around you.

Breakfast, Wi-Fi, & cable were good. But cleanliness needs to be looked into a bit more. I had a cigar butt in my room & when I informed the staff they come in and picked it up by that was it. For the rate I paid I wasn't really that satisfied with the stay. I was visiting family in the area & was there for several days. Also a prison is right down the street. That didn't make me feel very comfortable about going to and from my room day or night.

The staff was welcoming and helpful. A quick check in process. There were flies everywhere, fortunately though not in our room. The room had a weird smell that was very unpleasant, fortunately we had some air freshener with us. The beds were okay, a little stiff for my liking, but the blankets soft and comforting. The breakfast was your typical hotel quick set up: cereal, coffee, bagels etc. Overall, not my best choice for a road trip stop.

Bed could be a tad but softer but other then that not a bad place. Not much food around. It's a 10 minutes drive away but not to bad of a breakfast in the morning. Sausage, egg, toast, waffle, juice coffee pastry. I'd have no problem staying here again if in the area.

Had a reservation for more than a month here. I show up and they say the pool and hot tub is broken on Christmas Eve and after a busy day looking forward to it all day. I asked if there is a discount since I paid more to come to this specific hotel for the pool and hot tub. The first thing the attendant said was "We don't offer discounts. " Really? We hadn't checked in so after a crazy long conversation, we cancelled our reservation and went to the Ramada and got a great discounted deal. I understand why places have policy, but you win or lose lifetime customers with your policy. That's what happened last night. Oh and our friend was told she couldn't cancel and ended up having to stay separate from us.

Unfortunately, our stay was awful. If I could rate less than one star I would. We ended up having to stay after the company my husband works for was left with them as the only option at the time. (We usually stay at the Best Western Sundowner which is amazing! But due to renovation they had no hot water. ) As we set our stuff out to get ready for bed, one of the beds had dried snot and hair in it. Then we found dried urine on the toilet seat and clothes behind the entertainment center. And when I decided I wanted to try and make some coffee, we found out that they had left coffee sitting in the pot from the last people who had stayed and the coffee grounds still in the machine. The breakfast was disappointing, everything was dry and cold. And the staff pretty much ignored us. The hot tub was also freezing and they staff had no explanation when asked. All in all, everything was a mess. I would definitely not recommend that anyone stay there. So unfortunate…

Horrible hotel. Rooms are not clean worst quality inn I've stayed. Bathroom had hair all over the tub and sink. 3 dogs on the front desk all day and night. No hot water couldn't take a shower. Manger Leah avoided us… Never call me back. Breakfast only had half of the normal … This place is a joke don't waste your money… Pool out of order on a weekend no soap and old coffee in the lobby.

Great hotel experience, would recommend. Front desk staff extremely helpful and friendly. Clean linens and fresh smelling room. Hot breakfast in the morning, hot tub was perfect temperature and pool was clean. Comfortable bed with a pull out couch as well. Location close to everything in town, great overall stay!

I stayed here the night of 6/23/16, and everything was fine until the next morning. My Girlfriend and I got up, got ready, and had taken most of our stuff to the car before we went to get some continental breakfast there at the hotel. After breakfast we went back to the room to make a final check before we checked out, and left. When we got back to the room the housekeeper had already come in and stripped the beds which we found odd, but no big deal. About 5/6 hours of traveling later I realized I had left a personal pillow at the hotel, which the housekeeper must have taken when prematurely cleaning our room before we had checked out. Bummer, but we'll call, and it shouldn't be a big deal for them to ship it to me, right? They're a hotel, these things must happen all the time. When we called the hotel, the staff was unhelpful even rude. They offered no solution or apology for their staffs incompetence. The front desk person (Sydney) my girlfriend initially spoke to even had the audacity, and sheer stupidity to look up our reservation, and call my girlfriend back, and COMPLAIN that she didn't like how my girlfriend's attitude! YES! 2 hours later she called a PAYING customer to complain that we were rude for being upset over their mistakes, and callousness! We then calles Choice Hotels their corporate affiliates, and received only frustration there as well. Terrible experience, and I will never stay at a Choice Hotel again. We also stayed at a Best Western on our trip.

Do not stay here! It was awful. The room was $110 and it smelled like smoke and alcohol. It was also extremely noisy with people coming and going all night long. Keep driving!

The staff was very friendly and always met all our needs. The rooms very clean and comfortable. I was very pleased with our experience.

The place was a bit run down — paint peeling, ceiling plaster crumbling, that sort of thing. The heater made a notable, unpleasant smell when in use. The workout room was incredibly spare — a few pieces of equipment in a tiny, stuffy, un-air-conditioned room. Let's just say I would not swim in the pool, if I were you. The staff were all lovely and helpful, though, which accounts for the three star rating. Breakfast was also perfectly tasty.

The check in staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and had everything that would be needed buy one or two overnight guests. Breakfast the next morning was hot with fresh baked waffles that you make yourself, and an accommodating wait staff that provided fresh coffee, and quickly clean the tables and restocked food as needed. This is one of the nicest hotels in Sterling Colorado.

The people who worked there were great, the breakfast was good, the only issue is that my mom worries she was bitten by bed bugs. They were very responsive to this concern and took it very seriously.

This place is AMAZING! Staff was very, very wonderful all throught the stay. They are in the middle of remodeling, but that didn't make a difference at all. The rooms were very clean, and comfortable. Very reasonable rate for the area. Would deffinatly stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel on March 27th and it was the worst experience I have had at a hotel. First the key card for our room did not work. Then the room they gave us was occupied. I was lucky that no one was in the room at the time. I paid for the room in cash but had to have a card on file but they put two holds on our account for the room even though I paid in cash both holds for $120. The room was not clean and used soap was left in the shower for our use. I was told the manager would talk to me in the morning but when I went to the desk no manager was around. I complained and the guy at the desk could not get ahold of the manager and he pulled out his own wallet to give us a discount. I felt terrible for that guy not having any support from management. I left a note with my phone number and asked for the manager to call me when he gets in. I received no phone calls. I will never stay at a Comfort Inn ever again.
