We had to move rooms 3 times, and the manager had a real smug attitude about the entire thing. We had to open up a case to get a refund — so we can go stay at a different hotel. Don’t waste your time or money here. Highly recommend you avoid — especially all of the homeless meth heads that wander around the outside of the building asking for change and cigarettes.

This is our favorite hotel in Denver! I highly recommend it 🙂

Great experience with staff! So helpful and friendly!

My parents stayed here for a little over a week. They asked everyday for coffee and towels — most days the items never came or they had to ask numerous times. They had to chase someone down for toilet paper one day because they were out. After asking several times, no one cleaned their room the entire stay. For over $250 a night I would of expected a lot more. They don’t travel much and this was a real disappointment.

After numerous attempts they Will not refund complete amount from booking. I booked & never stayed. & canceled in person the same day. $185 & only $92.36 refunded, the rest they will not give back even after having my bank file a claim. I’m very disappointed. It has been a month!

Beautiful hotel. The historic paintings of my native people near the ceilings in the lobby are a sight to see by themselves. Room is comfortable and warm, there's not to many people here which is good during this pandemic. Remember just wash your hands and mask up in public, it's much easier to do them things than to complain that you caught covid19 someplace. It is the responsibility of you yourself to protect yourself from covid19. I'm glad to be here, all in all. I reccomend.

Nice hotel, the lobby is beautiful. Not sure when this happened but they have rooms with no closets or a way to hang your clothes. No dresser or luggage stand either so either put your bags on the bed and then floor or on the cabinet/desk. There was no are to put suitcases, two people three bags and the room felt cramped. My other complaint is the water pipes, each time somebody used any water the pipes were “clanking” made an annoying noise that sometimes woke us up. My last complaint is the pink mold in the shower, besides the handle being loose, no big deal, there was pink mold around the wall edges and the floor. Caulk was missing in some areas so most likely leaking and more mold in/under the wall/floor. Morning we had breakfast in the restaurant, Range, and the service was less than good, bad was more like it. Slow to seat, take the order, Mimosas were very small and wrong glass, once done sat there for more than ten minutes waiting for a check with dirty plates on the table. We finally went to the front to pay, waited and were helped, again same issue, long wait had to ask for discount again. It wasn’t really busy just a large party that was eating so they were taken care of. All around our stay was OK, would rate it 3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️. If we are staying downtown again I’d look at other hotels first. Just not impressed with the service and cleanliness of the bathroom and room in general.

GREAT STAFF, good food and drink, great contemporary design and decor, with PLENTY of authentic but understated CLASSY Denver decor from the height of the early mining/financial days of the Queen City of the Plains. A true, historic "western" treasure, and definitely a hidden secret.

Beautiful hotel and conveniently located within walking distance to sport events, shopping and dining. We had a great experience and look forward to another stay at Renaissance.

We stayed there for two days, our bathroom outlets didn’t work and we told the front desk several times, my son bed sheets had blood on it, some of the towels in the bathroom were dirty and I told the front desk. I spoke with Austin the manager and he didn’t to seem to care or address the situation. I travel all around the world and this Marriott is lacking in attention to detail. Nice hotel inside but poorly run when it comes to house keeping. This is clearly not the Marriott way!

Love this hotel! The staff is always so friendly and helpful! The artwork and history is amazing! Staying here is always a highlight of a trip to Denver!

Great hotel in a perfect location. Very friendly and respectful staff, very clean and lovely environment. Room was great, amenities were good and valet was spot on. Oddly, the pillows were very flat. Big down pillows, if you don't like that kind, bring your own. Otherwise, flawless.

Hotel is uniquely situated inside the old Colorado National Bank building. Rooms are generally clean and modern. The concierge lounge has 24/7 access, but its offerings are somewhat limited relative to lounges at other properties. Staff never seems to recognize status or offer upgrades, even when property is empty.

The atmosphere and feel of the hotel is great. It is smack in the middle of many great restaurants and Denver is a great place to ealk around town on foot. Staff at the hotel were very attentive and great. Only issue I had was the rooms are fairly small at the hotel.

What's not to love about a bank repurposed as a hotel? Beautiful architecture with amazing murals, old bank vaults converted to board rooms (with original vault doors, some are 33 tons! ) Top notch customer service.

Rooms are fine. The service is above average. However the main issue is the lack of treadmills in the gym. There are two working right now. Every time I've been in the gym they been taken. They have one that is broken next to the other two. For a hotel in this part of the city they really need to have at least 4 treadmills. Get rid of the useless bikes/ellipticals.

Stayed in room 220 after a great deal on hotwire. Beautiful hotel with interesting history. Had some lovely room service ice cream sundae as well!

Located in downtown Denver, you are right off 16th street mall. Very high security and concierge services are available. Rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. Bar located in the hotel serves great cocktails. In the lobby, the decor is beautiful. Very upscal.

Nice clean rooms. Good location close to restaurants and night life. One block away for the free 16th street mall buses. The staff was very nice and helpful.

This hotel was off-the-charts! I wish I could give it more than five stars. I loved all of the modern Decor around the lobby and in the hotel rooms. This building used to be the Colorado National Bank, built around 1912-1916ish and when it was converted into a hotel, they left the original vaults. How cool is that? Very unique! This is a must-see. By the way the breakfast foods were amazing!

Stylish and clean room with a great shower. The hotel has fun remnants of it's bank history in the lobby. Easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping, the football stadium, and the rail station to the airport.

Wow. This place is a historically protected old school Bank. We spent a few minutes trying to figure out where the hotel was then walked into the restaurant "Range" to ask, and they pointed me right into the lobby. So nice, so cool, can't say enough good things about our guy Hunter who helped us the whole trip through. Great anniversary weekend for me and the misses in Denver. I would definitely recommend this place for a memorable stay in downtown Denver. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants, bars, and the symphony.

Gorgeous hotel in the heart of downtown Denver. Great service. The rooms are immaculate. Unique architecture and design. Highly recommend. And the best part is that Range is downstairs! One of my favorite restaurants in Denver.

The hotel is in an old bank and the interior main hall with the two story ceilings and carved inserts were kept. The rooms are well done including marble bathrooms. It's a very pretty and unique hotel and I will be coming back!

I have read some bad reviews about this hotel but don't believe them. This is an excellent hotel, with great rooms and excellent customer service. My wife and I went there for our anniversary and they were amazing. Even the valet service was worth the cost because of there excellent customer service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The space is The Colorado World Bank converted into a hotel. Beautiful remodel showcasing the building history and integrating it into a hotel. The lobby is beautiful. The rooms very nice, cozy, good downtown views (unless you get an interior view room). Our check in was easy, Hunter was wonderful, helpful, and a great familiar face to see when going through the hotel. Great experience at this hotel! Better priced than the other downtown hotels and definitely a better overall experience.

My daughter and I went to Denver to see The King and I and I wanted a hotel that was close to Buell Theater. This one was perfect. We were. 3 miles from the theater. It is right next to 16th Street Mall so we were able to just have our car parked and walk everywhere. The hotel was beautiful and the room was very nice too. It was big and comfortable. If we could have I would have stayed longer.

When we arrived our reservation was not on the books so we paid for the night. The man who checked us in was sort of rude and made us wait for a good while while he waited on some young ladies. It was 2 am and I busted wanted to sleep. The next day the manager was so polite and took care of everything. The room is clean, quiet, and in the heart of everything. I appreciate the manager putting our minds at ease and honoring the reservation. He made things right.

This is a very nice hotel downtown Denver. Their suites are extremely spacious and feel very new. The hotel is an old bank that has been converted into a hotel so the main lobby has high vaulted ceilings and a lot of space for hanging out. There is also the "teller bar" in the lobby that has delicious pre-made manhattans and a good happy hour selection. The appetizers are from the restaurant Range and are also worth trying.

Absolutely stunning hotel and the location is perfect in downtown denver. The staff here goes above and beyond always. The fitness center and blue heron lounge are great perks as well.

The value is poor. 250 a night and they still require you to pay 25-45 a night for parking. If you need parking, do a little research before coming out, you can usually find it in the 15 a night range. Beds are mediocre at best, sound deadening is terrible for such an upscale place. I got about 3 hours of sleep last night thanks to hearing every single door open/close that happened in the hallway. Didn't matter if people hushed their voices (awful nice of them to do so though), as pretty much every sound is let in. Service is prompt, shower and facilities are clean and well kept. Just not a great value at all. I'd give it 3 stars, but they put a 225 dollar charge on my card for 'incidentals' which they refused to remove. This is after the room was already paid for completely. Tell me, what am I going to potentially do to acquire these charges? To me, this is straight up abuse of my card, and I want nothing to do with a chain that does this kind of thing. I considered staying here a few more days, but after seeing this… yeah, no thanks.

I come to Denver pretty regularly and this hotel has become my favorite. The staff is superb and the accomodations are fantastic. I love the history of a bank made into a hotel that kept the vaults but turned them into meeting rooms. There's so much history I wish walls could talk! If you can't stay here at least come for a drink at the "Teller Bar. "

The people were so friendly. Everyone there was eager to help with what ever we needed. I loved the personality of the building. So much character being an old bank. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was so comfortable. Definitely check out the food in the restaurant and the little coffee shop. All in all, a great place to stay!.

Whether its the incredible lobby, to the nuances each room has, this hotel is not only intriguing but welcoming and warm. The lobby is used for social events such as live music and featured artists presenting their work in the lobby its an awesome space filled with riches. The old vaults on the lower lobby are utilized as conference spaces which make for a unique experience. The Staff is this hotels greatest strength, "Navigators" as they are called are local guides who help and encourage you to explore what the city has to offer, Their suggestions are always spot on. And since the hotel is centrally located in the heart of the city it only takes a handful of minutes to get to the best of what the city has to offer. It is often said love is in the details, and this hotel definitely shows how much they love and appreciate their guests and anyone who walks through those sliding doors.

We stayed here one night when we were in Denver. The staff was friendly and accommodating and our room had a nice city view. The bed in our room was very comfortable and the room was quiet. We were able to see Union Station in the distance. This hotel is located downtown and is a convenient walk to all in the downtown area. It also is in a converted bank and the beautiful lobby shows it. I would definitely stay here the next time I go to Denver.

Never actually stayed here, but tried to go though the booking process (3) times! The first time I thought, no big deal I will go though it faster. It was a free cancellation booking before Aug 17, 2017; with no prepayment needed. That would be kind of nice if I found a better deal before my stay. Nevertheless, second time I went though the process it said that the room could not be booked for some odd reason, then the settings tried to change to "Immediately upon confirmation, this booking is completely non-refundable and cannot be changed or cancelled. " So I guess I can't cancel; tried to book again and still no reservation. Maybe you guys should figure that one out. Made me mad enough to leave a crappy review and book another hotel. Pretty silly.

On our reservation it stated there would be a full kitchen with stove/oven in our room. The room we got did NOT have a full kitchen. This was brought to managements attention immediately after check-in. They were able to get us a new room the next afternoon after I had followed up with them twice; however demanded that we move rooms within an hour. I requested they reimburse us for both the room the first night, and for me having to cancel my afternoon plans to move rooms. They did not… This is NOT the way you should be treating your Gold Elite members!

I love this hotel. The location is great, the vibe is happening, the restaurant, The Range, is good food. The concierge level is even great. I was surprised the rooms did not have a bath tub. The only reason I give it 4 stars: The front desk folk, were a little snobby, and Room Service was mediocre. Not sure how many times you have to ask for more pillows and towels — but it's more than thrice apparently. Usually Marriott has friendly amazing front desk people. We are Platinum, so we stay at Marriott A LOT. Perhaps we stayed the wrong 4 days, but didn't see that happening here. Of course, the question is — Would I stay again? And Yes, I would. I Denver!

I would recommend this hotel. It's unique as it was originally the Colorado national bank built in 1925. Lots of character and very nice. Good location for downtown Denver. The room is very spacious. We had breakfast in the restaurant which was good and reasonably priced. Friendly staff as well.

This hotel is awesome! We were given a little tour of the hotel, staff is awesome! It was a bank turned into a hotel hence the Colorado National Bank etched on the building. Located centrally to all attractions downtown. Kinda pricey but you can find deals online.

We arrived and used the valet to park our vehicle. They asked if we had plans to get the vehicle later in the day, which we did, so they kept our vehicle parked near the hotel doors so we wouldn't have to wait long for it. The hotel staff inside was great. We had a quick check in and even arrived before our check in time. Our room was nice and clean with nothing to complain about. When it was time to leave our check out was quick and valet had our vehicle ready after sending a text that we were heading down for it.

This hotel has GORGEOUS architectural features in the old bank part, but modern comforts in the rooms! The beds and pillows were comfy and the staff people were fun and helpful. The bar had some great signature cocktails! I will come back!

Really good food and price, highly recommended.

Only a short stay, from the moment the taxi pulled up outside the staff could not be more helpful, our room was perfect and the food a delight. Certainly a place to stay when in downtown Denver.

Amenities are fantastic! Rooms are clean, upscale finishes, modern utilities. Lobby is spectacularly designed! I love the stained glass ceiling. Staff is very welcoming and accomodating. Only 2 negatives. 1, you have to pay for Wi-Fi!? And 2, they spray painted the underside of the staircase with a gold paint, not super classy.

The High Tea offered at The Brown Palace is all that it's hyped-up to be. The tea was awesome, and so was the Victorian spread! The piano music was splendid and they were very accommodating about a food allergy in our group, and went above and beyond with that. Even though it's pricey it is well worth it for a special event. We loved it there!

The fanciest hotel in denver I belive rates are high more like a home setting door bells and wood doors and grear skyscraper views.

I went for tea in the central atrium with five of my friends, and we were treated with attentiveness and class throughout our experience. The finger food, which comes in a traditional set of stacked plates, was well made, and the tea was brewed to perfection. The atmosphere can't be beat. This experience is for special occasions, requires a reservation, and does cost as much as it's worth, so be prepared to stay and savour it.

I had the privilege of staying at the Renaissance Denver Downtown City Center Hotel this week and it was beyond amazing! I was involved with the inspections when it was in the renovation stage and I'm so pleased to see how well it turned out and witness firsthand what a great space it is to stay in! Everyone from the General Manager to Housekeeping to the bartender were all incredibly gracious, helpful and happy to see us! I was in room 560 which has a fantastic view of 17th Street and Union Station, a Colorado Icon. The workout room is great — spacious and it doesn't feel like everyone is sitting on top of each other, even at peak times. The breakfast area/conference area is just spectactular! It over looks the lobby which creates a fabulous dining experience every morning. Great food choice and the staff kept everything well stocked. The conference rooms on both sides of the dining area are great as well and the sliding barn doors are quite sound proof. Both rooms also have a fantastic view. One of my favorite design elements is the fact that they turned the bank vaults into conference rooms — what a smart and clever design choice! And don't miss range Restaurant in the hotel lobby — this is waaay above & beyond the regular hotel restaurant. Local Colorado fare prepared elegantly by a fabulous chef!

An amazing hotel and historic landmark! You should go inside even if you're not staying as a guest.

Beautiful hotel! I made reservations online the night before and was booked my room only to find out once I got there my room was taken. Very disappointed! Since I wasn't from Denver, I had to book a room there. It was very clean but their restaurant was also a disappointment.

Everything is going very smooth. Room is clean and comfortable and the lobby seems like a great place to socialize (if I were into that)

The hotel itself is amazing — beautiful lobby and rooms. I had stayed several times previously and always felt comfortable. Unfortunately, during a stay in November I left my jewelry in my room while I went to work. I did not take it out of my bag until returning home and when I did, realized all of my rings were missing. The only time my bag was not on me was when it was left at the hotel. Normally I would have simply said "shame on me" but 3 of the rings were from my parents and held great sentimental value. When I raised this to the hotel staff, it took them over a week to return my phone call and when they did I was traveling out of the country. Once I documented everything it took following up with them to get a status update. I even asked them to put out to their staff a reward with no questions asked if the rings were returned anonymously. I was told "We have spoken to the staff who cleaned the room and they do not have any knowledge regarding your rings. I understand your suspicion that maybe one of them took them, but they have also worked here for quite a while with us without incident. " While I can appreciate standing behind your staff and I am sure they may get some crazy claims from time to time, simply letting this go with no further investigation really did not feel as if they took me seriously. They did not even take my offer to the staff to attempt to get the rings returned and just said they would process an insurance claim.

Amazing lobby, furnishings, bar, atrium, art, service and room. Valet parking expensive. On main drag for a dozen transport options and restaurants.

The hotel is in a great location, it's in a very cool old bank that has been repurposed. As a Platinum Marriott member, they upgraded me to a large room. Bathrooms are new and nice, and it's a clean modern facility.

We loved this hotel! We stayed overnight for my birthday. When we arrived our room wasn't quite ready, so we were given a complimentary drink from the bar. The staff was so friendly and helpful, thank you, Kye! Our breakfast in the morning, which we ordered the night before, was delivered to our room, and it was delicious! Beautiful room, great view. I can't wait to go back! Thank you.

Their customer service has beyond exceeded my expectations. We checked in with Sarah and she was so helpful and kind. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay at the Renaissance was absolutely wonderful. And it was. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I love this hotel and stay here every time I travel to Denver. Very nice lobby and concierge lounge. The rooms are very clean and updated. My only issue with this hotel is the gym. They do not have many machines. The Marriott City Center has a better gym. I still prefer the Renaissance (except for the one time at the Marriott 2 blocks over).

Nice. No dresser for clothes, but shelves in closet. Made it hard to pull out clothes.
