Beautiful hostel and clean spaces and even more friendly staff. Would highly recommend The Wanderlust and looking forward to staying there again in the future.

Loved the the decorations and relaxed environment.
The entire hostel was very very clean. As a RN, this is important to me. The staff and owner were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I am looking forward to staying here again sometime soon.

Wonderful hostel, nowhere else that I'd rather stay in Gunnison. Cozy, clean, well-decorated, and well-furnished. Bunks for a very reasonable price. Fully-equipped kitchen with a new and spacious fridge. Drinks and snacks available for purchase. Fire TV with Netflix. Bicycles with locks for use around town. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Amazing hostel! I was beginning to think I didn’t like hostels until I stayed here. Amy was so hospitable and helped us with whatever we needed — such a sweetheart! Would go out of my way to stay here again, such good vibes.

The Wanderlust is so cute. The hosts are exceedingly generous and organized. The property is clean and charming. A supremely relaxing place to stay. Not to mention how affordable it is. I plan to make The Wanderlust a regular vacation spot for myself.

This place is amazing! I’m hiking the CT and was lucky enough to get the last bed on short notice. The decor is so adorable and the staff was simply amazing. I can’t express enough how much I enjoyed my brief stay. I’ll definitely be back and recommend it to others. Thank you for a relaxing night after several dirty, hot days on the trail! Denise “Salty”

This was probably the cleanest place I've stayed. Including hotels! My SIL and I stayed for 5 nights in the bunks and were so impressed with the staff and all the guests. We always felt comfortable and at home. Can't wait to come back and stay again!

Really wonderful spot! Just passing through town and needed a shower break from our road trip. The girls on staff were very accommodating and got us set up with towels and wash cloths for less then the community center. Shower was hot and had great pressure. Hope we get a chance to stay here sometime!

Called and got info/pricing/details beforehand. Girl I spoke with was super friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were some of the nicest and cleanest of the hostels we've ever been. Highly recommend.

Rooms and beds are very comfortable. Shower is good pressure. Full kitchen, laundry available for extra. The entire hostel is a wacky 70's theme which is very fun.

I don't know where to start. The hostel is clean and welcoming. The owner, Amy, and her staff are personable, detailed, and fantastic hosts. The beds are comfy. We stayed one night in the dorm and two nights in the large, private room. We got great advice about the area from staff and guests. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Coming home was hard after experiencing Gunnison, the hostel, and the general vibe. We will be back for sure.

This place is amazing. Stay in a common room on a bunk or a private room. Amy is a fabulous host. We are so happy we stayed.

You feel welcomed and at home, once you enter through the door. I loved my stay during the Crismas season. Stephanie was very helpful and gave me some good deals for skiing. The Hostel was very clean and family friendly. I would love to visit again during the wild flowers season. Stephanie and the other tenants in the hostel made the stay memorable and fun.

This place is fantastic! Cozy and warm with the friendliest staff imaginable, really feels like home as soon as you walk in. Tons of information about stuff to do in Gunnison, as well as a great bookshelf/game cabinet/costume drawer for a fun night in :)

The beds were really comfortable, Stephanie the ladder was super helpful! Everyone there was really friendly and we loved that there were families and kids hanging out in the common areas. The warm fire place was very inviting too! I would recommend coming here anytime!

What a fun place! The owners are great. They made our stay enjoyable. The other guests were fun also.

Good location you can walk to almost Every where The have bikes to use if you wish. Staff is great vary help full. Different experience for me. But was fun Stayed in the bunkhouse Room and it fill up. Clean room clean house. I recommend bringing some food And sharing it it will make for a much better stay.

Loved this place. I had the large private room. Great room, comfortable bed, bathroom right outside the room. You don't have to roam thru the house to bathroom. Great gathering room, firepit in backyard. Hammock in front and back. Clean!

Excellent, super-clean and well-run hostel! I especially love that Amy has a closet full of groovy vintage clothes that we can wear while she does our laundry and that we were invited to pick fresh lettuce from the garden. Gunnison was a nice town to spend a night during my CT thru-hike. Had a great meal at the brewery and left feeling rested and refreshed. Thanks Amy and staff!

Cozy place with free flowing open atmosphere. Amy was very hospitable, beds were made with funky linens and obvious care. I wish I had more time to kick it there. I will definitely be back next time I visit the Gunni/Butte area! thanks again.

Truly a home away from home. We had such a great time here. Friendly faces, positive attitudes and an awesome dog named Cole. The place was bery clean, they encourage bike riding, playing inthe sprinklers, live music and dress-up (seriously tho… check out the costume closet). Amy is fantastic and we will definitely visit again. Thanks, Wanderlust!

Delightful and affordable hostel in the heart of Gunnison, CO. They have two private rooms for booking, and then two dorm style rooms. For those looking to conquer Crested Butte, you'll love the 40% discount on lift tickets! Cross country skiing is also fantastic. This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here.

I've never visited a hostel before and wasn't sure what to expect. Imagine this: You're going to visit a cool friend of yours that you knew in college and she's having a bunch of friends over to her warm and inviting house with vintage Seventies knickknacks and a well-tended garden. That's what it's like. You can have a private room or a room with bunk beds that you share with other people, but the people there are friendly, interesting, and a pleasure to hang out with. Plus, you've got to love Cole the Hostel Dog as an extra bonus. Everything is very clean and well-kept, and peaceful. You're free to hang out in the living room and talk, or relax quietly out in the yard in the porch swing. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone in the Gunnison area who's looking for something off the beaten path. So glad I came!

Awesome place to stay! The host is extremely friendly and welcoming. Comfy bunks and beds, good kitchen setup, and right in the heart of downtown for easy access to everything. There are even cruiser bikes that you can take out to get around town. Very low key and enjoyable — will definitely be going back!

We've been staying at a lot of hostels lately, and the Wanderlust Hostel has been our favorite one yet. We came to do some races, and Amy was super accommodating and friendly. After coming back to the hostel, we found a note on the kitchen counter from Amy that said "Racers, there is beer in the fridge for you. "

This place is very wonderful and cozy! The hostess was very friendly and helpful. There is a unique homey feeling about the hostel. There is a living room with a fireplace and plenty of space to lounge as well as a full kitchen so we were able to cook our own food. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Gunnison!

Oh My Gosh, this place is GREAT! My cousin and I have been traveling in CO and needed a place to stay last night. The Gunnison Visitor Center was closed but they did have lodging information outside the building. Actually, there was a flyer with listings of lodging. We called a few places but just really needed a nice, clean place to sleep. The Wanderlust Hostel price was reasonable and so we called. When we called, the proprietor, Amy, answered, she was most pleasant and she gave us directions to her location. As soon as we walked in the feel of the house is most welcoming. My cousin, Helena, has had experience with hostels and wanted to look things over. We were so impressed with the place! The beds have excellent support and we had the best rest in several days. In addition to nice and clean surroundings Amy and her Mom, Carolyn, are most hospitable. Also, the decor of the house is remarkable with such attention to details! My cousin and I HIGHLY recommend this hostel to anyone wanting a reasonable charming place to sleep.

Was such a great place. To put things relative to experience — I walked in, met some other guests eating dinner who offered to share and I immediately felt at home. Amy and Ashley were both great and easy going. I felt more at home here than I do with some family members (no drama! ). Great place for access to a lot of outdoors.
